will you ever make more new themes? love your work, and your blog.
Thank you! Yes, I will eventually make more themes. I'm really busy so they aren't going to come often, but I can promise that there will be new themes next year.

It's neat to own expensive items and tell myself I'm saving money by not having to buy cheaper items time and time again but it is perhaps just an excuse.

hi how long did it take you to build your own desktop w arch linux
That’s hard to answer. Getting a fairly functional desktop took me around a week the first time, because I would think that I had set up everything, until something like mounting USB sticks broke on me, and then I would have to look up what programs I needed to do that. After I did it once, though, I can remember the essential components that I need, so it only takes an hour or two to install it on another machine.
However, tweaking my window manager and colourscheme until I loved it took way, way longer than that (just like making the perfect tumblr theme!), and I would say it’s still ongoing.

tumblr is kind of like git in that every time you reblog (fork) something you create a local copy of it on your own blog with your specific changes to it especially how you can change the original post and how even if the original post changes or gets deleted your copy doesn't and I think that's beautiful.

I hate waking up I hate lying idle in the dark with morning only seconds away watching the digits turn. I hate playing dead I hate the silence waiting for tomorrow when it already is. I hate the coil whining and the TV mumbling, no substitute for life. aliveness.

I am drinking water. My thumbprint on the side of the glass. Orange smudge. But clearer than I would ever bother to see. The dirty glass. Dust settles everywhere.

Smart Snaps
iOS now has smart punctuation. That's cool. I hope some Android keyboards will have that too. I don't know why though... seeing curly quotes on Facebook just seems wrong. I think it's because of that time (ages ago, really) they removed *bold* and _italic_. While they are putting that back in Messenger now, after like eight years, I can't shake off the image of Facebook being incredibly limited in terms of typographic styles. It's dying anyway so it's not like anyone will care. Look to seeing curly quotes and em dashes on some future snaps from your friends.

not here to report a bug or anything, i just wanted to say that i love your themes a lot! i love how they're responsive, usable and actually functions really well. i'm using one of your themes and have "use default mobile theme" off and i really appreciate how the theme you made actually works on mobile as well. it's just very soothing. thank you!
I’m glad you are finding them so functional! That and responsiveness are the most important to me when I make themes, and I’m especially glad to hear that it works well on mobile. Your feedback is incredibly valuable to me, compliment or bug report.
I’ve been rather busy lately, so I haven’t been making any themes. In a month or so, I may be able to pick it up again. Thank you so much for the encouraging words. I’m excited to start making themes again, for people just like you.

Are you afraid of the things you’ve forgotten?
Several hours I might spend a day staring at this dinky little screen. And it is "dinky", a mere 1280 pixels by 1024 pixels. What should I see? An endless scroller of text and images, and text on images and images in text. And almost instantly, everything that I've seen escapes my memory. I am not able to recall anything I have seen in the past few minutes. When by chance I come across something I'd seen many months or years ago, it is oddly familiar and only if I think about it long enough do I remember. What if I had not given it that thought? How many things have I seen several times over, unbeknownst to anybody but an omnipresent God? It almost feels futile to keep at it, continuously pouring this feed into a mind that will never learn, never pick anything up. I could be repetitiously reading and watching and I would never be any wiser.

Icon fonts are the bane of my existence but I finally figured out how to change the typefaces on all webpages without disrupting the icons. Add this to your global stylesheet:
*:not(i):not(span) { font-family:typeface-name !important; }
Of course, chain more :not statements for other common icon elements that you may encounter. I found that a might be one of them, but I didn't include it because I didn't think it was common enough.
If you find that this covers too much you can also use CSS regex [class*='icon'] and other common icon class names like 'fa' or font-awesome, etc. But I think this is far more tedious since you'd be adding quite a lot.
