Neut: a gender identity related to one's usage of It/Its/Itself pronouns to communicate a sense of self that is disconnected from humanity, "other" and/or neuter, but not genderless.
Also called Neutgender.
[PT: Neut: a gender identity related to one's usage of It/Its/Itself pronouns to communicate a sense of self that is disconnected from humanity, "other" and/or neuter, but not genderless. Also called Neutgender.]
Etymology
[PT: Etymology]
The etymology of this term is unknown. Neut(gender) was coined by tumblr user Wingsdownmyspine in March 2020. The Neutgender pride flag and an expanded definition were reposted to Beyond-Mogai-Pride-Flags by Mod Fy two days later.
"Neut" is likely an abbreviation of "Neuter" or "Neutral", but this has not been confirmed by the original coiner of the term.
Flag
[PT: Flag]
The original flag was created by the coiner at the same time as the term. This flag consists of four horizontal stripes of the same size. From top to bottom, they are black, grey, white and red. The meaning of the original flag is unknown.
Due to being almost completely identical to the Asocial flag designed two years prior to Neutgender, I took it upon myself to make an alternate flag, which is the main purpose of this post.
This alternate flag consists of six, horizontal stripes of the same size. From top to bottom, the stripes are burgundy, desaturated magenta, light lavender, tan, desaturated green and dark green. Each stripe has the following meanings:
The burgundy stripe represents being Neut.
The magenta stripe represents disconnection from humanity.
The light lavender represents a present sense of gender.
The tan stripe represents the usage of It/Its pronouns (as opposed to They/Them).
The light green stripe represents otherness.
The dark green stripe represents neuterness/neutrality.
The burgundy stripe is a homage to the original flag that used red alongside a monochrome color palette.
Alternate flag by Gent of Gender-Jargon, April 2024.

[Image ID: the Trinteri pride flag by Gent of Gender-Jargon. The Trinteri flags consists of three down-pointing chevrons of the same size, with negative space above, between and to the left and right bottom corner of the flag. The top negative space is very light green. The left-botton negative space is very light pink. The right-bottom negative space is very light blue. The chevrons from top to bottom are indigo, grey and teal with very very light grey space in between. ./. End ID]
Trinteri: a gender amidst the Gender Trinary; a gender that is centered in the middle of the Male-Female-Neutrois trinary.
[PT: Trinteri: a gender admist the Gender Trinary; a gender that is centered in the middle of the Male-Female-Neutrois trinary. ./. End PT]
Etymology
[PT: Etymology ./. End ID]
From Latin, "Tri-", a prefix meaning "Three" + "Inter" meaning "Between" + "-i", an English neologistic suffix indicating genderness. Literally "between the three". Coined by Gent (Gender-Jargon) (link) in March 2024.
Elaboration
[PT: Elaboration ./. End ID]
Trinteri was created as a result of this post (link) by @your-bigender-big-brother (link). The post posed the question, "what gender quality is right in the center of the trinary?". Most replied, including myself, neutrangity, while others cited epicenity or neutrœmmity, but the more I thought about it, the more I began to feel like these suggested designations were only approximate and didn't quite get to the root of the question.
As Stormy said emself in eir essay (link) ey wrote, the Gender Trinary contains qualities aside from masculinity, femininity and androgyny. Aside from these three, some others are effeminacy, femmulinity, epicenity, neutrommity, neutremmity, neutrœmmity, gynxemity, androxulinity, gyndroxity, neutrangity, tomboyishness and janegirlishness, to name a couple. This got me thinking, which lead me to coin Trinteri as a centrigender that includes the entire Gender Trinary.
Here is the graphic that Stormy included with eir question, which I edited to add Trinteri in the center for reference:
Tumblr media
[Image Id: a graphical representation of the Gender Trinary. It is a down-pointing triangle with the left corner labeled "masculine", the right corner labeled "feminine" and the downward-facing point labeled "neutral". Between masculine and feminine, feminine and neutral and masculine and neutral are double-pointing arrows. In the left corner, there is a point labeled "Man". In the right corner, there is a point labeled "Woman". In the downward-facing point, there is a point labeled "Neutrois". Between "Man" and "Woman" is a point labeled "Androgyne". Between "Neutrois" and "Man" is a point labeled "Neutromme". Between "Neutrois" and "Woman" is a point labeled "Neutremme". In the very center, circled and pointed to by a large arrow is a point labeled "Trinteri", which is located at the very center of the diagram. ./. End ID]
I propose the term trinterinity to refer to the quality of gender that is located in the very center of the Gender Trinary. I would be very interested to hear about Stormy's thoughts on this post to see if ey agree, if I missed the mark or if ey have any other kind of feedback for me.
Trinteri is can be considered a midtrinary aporagender. Trinteri is:
a single, specific non-binary identity.
located in the very center of the Gender Trinary of Male-Female-Neutrois.
a centrigender of all trinary gender qualities.
[PT: a single, specific non-binary identity. located in the very center of the Gender Trinary of Male-Female-Neutrois. a centrigender of all trinary gender qualities. ./. End PT]
Trinteri is quite similar to, but distinct from Neutrangi, Neutrœmme and Epicene:
[PT: Trinteri is quite similar to, but distinct from Neutrangi, Neutroemme and Epicene: ./. End PT]
Neutrangi
[PT: Neutrangi ./. End PT]
Neutrangi and Trinteri are both in between Male, Female (rationalized as Androgyne) and Gender-Neutral, but Trinteri is also centered/in between all other trinary genders.
Neutrœmme
[PT: Neutroemme ./. End PT]
Neutrœmme and Trinteri are both in between Male, Female (rationalized as Femache) and Gender-Neutral, but is also centered/in between all other trinary genders.
Epicene
[PT: Epicene ./. End ID]
Epicene is a gender related to Male-Female indeterminance, having characteristics of both Maleness and Femaleness and/or having no characteristics indicative of Maleness or Femaleness. Epicene is a relatively complicated identity, as it can be considered masculine, feminine, androgynous, neutral and a sort of genderless all-in-one.
Both Trinteri and Epicene encompass experiences of masculinity, femininity, androgyny and neutrality, but Trinteri involves all other trinary identities as well. Trinteri is explicitly a centrigender, where as Epicene is generally considered not to be. Epicene is definitively indeterminate with regards to the Male-Female binary, but Trinteri may or may not be indeterminate in it's nature.
Pride Flag
[PT: Pride Flag ./. End PT]
The Trinteri pride flag was created by the coiner at the same time of the term (Gent, GJ, 3/24). The flag consists of three down-pointing chevrons of the same size, with negative space above, between chevrons and to the left and right bottom corner of the flag. The top negative space is very light green. The left-botton negative space is very light pink. The right-bottom negative space is very light blue. The chevrons from top to bottom are indigo, grey and teal with very light grey in between. The colors have the following meanings:
The very light-green negative space represents neutrinity.
The very light-pink negative space represents femininity.
The very light-blue negative space represents masculinity.
The purple chevron represents androgyny.
The grey chevron represents neutremmity.
The teal chevron represents neutrommity.
The very light grey negative space between the chevrons represents the center of the Gender Trinary.

Intersex trans woman flag!
Hello! I’m submitting this here anonymously because I lack any sort of queer blog, and I’m not openly intersex on my main blog, but I made a flag for trans women who are intersex!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image description: Two images of a flag with six horizontal stripe, which are coloured dark red, brown-red, light brown-red, light dull yellow, dull yellow, and a darker dull yellow. Both images have the intersex circle in the middle, the left image has one that is purple, like the original intersex flags, while the right image features one which is wine red. End ID]
This flag is for anyone who is intersex and identifies as a trans women! The red-brown colours at the top represent womanhood, the yellow colours at the bottom represent being intersex, and the gradient between them represents how these two parts of one’s identity are very likely to be tied together. I hope you like this!

Intersex trans man flags
Tumblr media Tumblr media
[ID: A set of two flags. Both of them have six stripes, going from dark orange-yellow, to lighter yellow, to very pale green, to mint green, to darker teal, to dark turquoise. They both have rings in the center, with the one on the right being purple like the intersex flag, and the other being dark blue. End ID]
-
I wanted to make these to pair with the intersex trans woman flags, which can be found here. These are for anyone who is both intersex and a trans man. The bottom colors are meant to represent being transmasc (and the various ways of being so), and the top yellow stripes are meant to represent being intersex, and how it can tie together when you're both.
The flag idea isn't really mine, instead being directly inspired by the submitter of the intersex trans woman flags. I was also a little inspired by the golden transmasc flags, which are here.
Should go without saying, but these flags are all inclusive and anyone who's intersex can use them.

Evenic: A term for when someone is on the boundary of two existing identities. Users may feel as though they partly or entirely fall under both, or they may not identify as either one individually.
Tumblr media
An example of this identity could be someone who feels as though they are in-between being a butch lesbian and a mlw trans man, and may feel identification with both labels at the same time. This term was coined as an alternative to cusper, which is a label that can be uncomfortable for some due to controversy, and usage in reactionary circles.
Important to note that, unlike cusper, this term does not exclusively describe a boundary between gnc cis and trans, it can be described as someone whose identity is on the boundary of any two identities, usually ones that do not typically go together (though not always.)

My attempt at feminine trans man / masculine trans woman flags, respectively. (These are also free for feminine transmasc, and masculine transfem to use.)
I based these off of both the trans flag itself, and also, the more commonly used transmasculine and transfeminine flags I’ve seen.
The idea is that the blue, or pink, stripe in the middle represents the ‘core gender’ of the person, which in turn is man or woman. Then the ‘outer shell’ is feminine or masculine, represented by two stripes of pink or blue. Two stripes of varying saturation are used to represent how femininity and masculinity can differ from person to person.
The middle stripe is ‘shielded’ by two white stripes of solidarity: to show that feminine trans men and masculine trans women should be respected and protected by all of their siblings within the trans community.

Mesi asexual and mesi aromantic: Someone who is ace-spec/aro-spec but is not fully asexual/aromantic (suptiliasexual/suptiliaromantic). Comes from the word mesial.
Why these terms are necessary:
We have a word to specify people who are completely asexual/aromantic (suptiliasexual/suptiliaromantic). However, there is currently no unambiguous term to refer to people who are ace-spec/aro-spec but aren’t suptiliasexual/suptiliaromantic.
The word ace-spec/aro-spec is sometimes used to refer to these people, however these terms are for the entire spectrum, which by definition includes suptiliasexuals/suptiliaromantics, so using this term in this way is inaccurate and is ambiguous.
The term greyasexual/greyromantic can also be used to refer to these people, however grey is also it’s own individual identity. Grey is much more commonly used as a specific identity rather then as an umbrella term, which can make it confusing when the umbrella term definition is used (especially when both definitions are used in the same paragraph).
Mesi ace and mesi aro have the same definition as greyasexual/greyromantic (umbrella term definition) but are completely unambiguous in their meaning.

alternate philoromantic and philosexual flags for anon, plus more philo- orientation flags! the flags use muted rainbow colors to represent the variety of genders one could be attracted to and a highly saturated version of a color that represents the specific form of attraction in the center to represent how one cares more about their feelings of attraction than the genders they're attracted to!
i somewhat simplified the philo- definition, so you can click those above links to see the full text. i also didn't put each individual definition on here - just add the form of attraction into the gender (ex: philoromantic is someone who doesn't care what genders they're romantically attracted to).
