I keep hearing that the age range for the Disney+ show is going to be all middle schoolers but I feel like that ignores the fact that while, yes the books are targeted to 9-12 year olds, I am currently 21 and am pumped af. I read the books when I was 10-ish…

Everytime the show has a character with mental health issues/trauma, and that character shows some "not cute" traits from said mental health issues/trauma, there's always this group of people who come out of the woodwork like "Pearl/Lapis/Steven, etc." are now problematic and the crewniverse is BAD.
