You were walking slower than normal, the tall stack of paper and envelopes weighing you down and throwing off your balance. You could feel your purse slipping from your shoulders, and your arms were growing tired as you walked across the lobby of your office building. You took a few rushed steps towards the stairwell, the elevator had unfortunately stopped working. You leant the stack of papers against the wall, readjusting your grip before attempting to ascend the narrow stairwell. Sadly, your efforts were in vain.

Rushed footsteps were approaching fast from behind until suddenly, a body slammed into your shoulder. You gasped in horror as you watched the stack of paper in your hands topple to the ground. You looked up, expecting an apology, but all you saw was the figure of an unfamiliar man with blonde hair, dressed in a suit, hastily dashing up the stairway, skipping every second step.

“Rude,” you muttered to yourself, hearing his footsteps grow quieter as he ascended. You glanced down at the mess in front of you, stretching out your hands to soothe the ache that had developed from carrying the stack. You glanced down at your wrists as you massaged the joint, watching the words written on the skin crease with your movements.

Footsteps echo across the pavement, each step shortening the distance you’ve been maintaining since that day. They continue at an unrelenting pace, each stride seemingly weakening your resolve to keep going.

You’ve always had a weak spot for him. Maybe it was the sunny disposition or the driving nature; however, seeing anything less than a half-smile on him is troubling more than anything else. For what everything was worth, you did relish in those days when you were the reason for those full on smiles with your own kind of affection. But even so, you didn’t expect for him to be so affected with your actions.

Donghyuck has always been something that of a weakness for you. The chink in your armor. The heat that melted the ice encasing your heart. its bc your parents are really close so you eventually got close as well

you two were inseparable growing up and u still are 

so now you two are going to the same uni

but yeah ANYWAY its break so yall are home for the next month or so

and you're just hanging out with jaehyun in his living room nothing special

yall are just watching buzzfeed unsolved, cuddled up on the couch, its pretty much a normal thing now

in the middle of watching you feel kinda tired and you rest your head on his shoulder

he tenses up a bit which u notice but u don't really pay much attention

and yeah thats where it started

the next day you were like "hey jae lets hang out today!!!!" and he was like "oh shoot sorry y/n i'm going out with taeyong today"

and you're like ok i guess thats fine i mean he has other friends so??

but it starts happening so constantly 

one time you texted him saying you were bored and he answered "why" and never replied after that

but i mean ,,, u saw him on doyoungs snapchat story on his phone, but anyway
