a/n: sorry guys. also this reader is inspired by my self-insert/oc so you'll be the eldest child of the Kamado family 👍🏽

cw: if I tell you it'll spoil the surprise (angst)

You crept slowly and quietly to the clearing. You and your lover had met here for years. First, as strangers, then friends, and eventually as a couple. With nothing but grass, a couple trees, and a field of flowers, it was a perfect place for the two of you to embrace each other. And not only did it have beautiful flowers, but around the perimeter was a ring of wisteria trees for protection. Your meetings were secretive at first; your families hadn't always been on good terms. His father always mistook your single Hanafuda earring as a sign of mockery, especially when you got with Kyojuro. But eventually he grew to enjoy your company, even if he surely didn't show it.

It was also the same field where Kyojuro had first confessed his love and, a year or so later, proposed to you. For these reasons it will always be special, and if you were ever separated from your beloved, you could always meet each other halfway.

You approach the center of the clearing, seeing a familiar brush of red and yellow hair almost floating above the grass.

"Kyojuro..."

His name fell from your lips so naturally, as if it were designed just for you. The red and yellow turns and is replaced with a bright, beaming smile. You run and hug him, pushing him over.

"(Y/N)! I missed you," he breathes, effortlessly sitting you and himself up. "How has everything been? I hope you've been eating?" He fusses over you and you can't help but smile.

You smile, but you still can't help but feel a little deflated. "Yes, darling. I've been taking good care of myself as well as my siblings. Inosuke and Zenitsu as well. They've made a lot of progress. Your teachings were very influential to them, especially to Tanjiro."

He smiles even more at that. "I'm glad! I aimed for that exactly. Young Kamado is very unique compared to the others, your sister included. You should be proud of them both."

You nod. Now it was your turn to give Kyojuro a gift. "Here. I brought you a basket of food." You opened the basket to show him the cookies and cakes you had prepared along with a bottle of fine wine.

He gives you a kiss to your cheek as a thanks, then takes a bite out of a heart-shaped chocolate chip cookie. "Hmm!" He hums in appreciation and satisfaction. "These are amazing, my flame. Thank you so much for bringing all this out here. But..."

You tilt your head in confusion. "But what? Don't you like the food?"

He nods, almost instantly. "Of course, sweetheart. But I have to go."

You sigh, finally taking note of his white clothing. Tears form in the corner of your eyes. "Can't you stay...can't you stay just a little while longer?"

He begins to tear up as well. Regardless, he keeps a smile on his face just for you.

"I'm always with you, (Y/N). No matter where you go. But I can't be with you physically anymore. Just know I'll love you for all eternity."

He begins to fade away, disintegrating into golden light similar to that of a firefly. You lock your hands with his trying to keep him with you, even if for a second longer.

"Please...not yet...just one more night. Please," you beg. You couldn't bear to be without him.

He gives you one last kiss. A deep, lingering kiss, full of nothing but love for you.

"You have to let me go, (Y/N). Take care of yourself for me, little flame.

His voice blows away with the gentle wind.

You close your eyes. Maybe if you kept them closed long enough, this would all be a dream. Maybe he'd still be here.

You began to feel his grip on your hands loosen until it was no longer there. Laying your head on his tombstone, you sob.

It wasn't long after until you fell asleep. You slept for hours.

You awoke to the sensation of being lifted up and carried away. Blinking slowly, you look to your rescuer; Tengen.

"Finally awake?" He chuckles, then lets out a deep sigh. "(Y/N). It's...time to let go."

You nod. "Okay...okay. I can...try."

"For Kyojuro."

a/n: hello my lovelies! i'm back to make a part 2. honestly loved writing the first part so yk i had to double it 😝 sorry this took like a million years. I had state testing and i do have to prioritize so yk how it is

Part 4

Josuke Higashikata

Since you two do your daily hair care routines together, he has a decent idea of how he can at least detangle and part it. The first part of the braiding process is easy. However when it comes to actual braiding, you can tell he's confused.

"You said you wanted braids like Moesha? I don't know how to do that at all."

"It's easy. Haven't you ever braided something at least once? Like some string or something?"

"Nope! Sorry, babe."

You sigh as you explain how to braid hair to your darling clueless boyfriend.

He finally finishes your Moesha braids, and they look pretty good. However, he wishes you would've asked him to do something simpler. His hands are sore and his nose burns from the smell of shine n jam and shea moisture. At least he did your edges cutely (he made a little heart with them!). 9/10!

Okuyasu Nijimura

You are scared. Terrified, even. The minute he saw the same braids you wore on a girl in some MTV music video on the TV, he knew he wanted to help you out. So you let him! He has no idea what he's doing.

"Oku, do you know what you're doing?"

"It can't be that hard, right? Just cross those two strands of hair and make them look pretty."

"Oku, you're supposed to cross three strands. THREE."

"Oh..."

It's okay though. He eventually gives up and watches you do your hair yourself and learns a lot. When you're finished, he helps you put purple and black beads on the ends of your braids. Overall, 10/10 (for the beads lol).

Part 5

Giorno Giovanna

You two usually do your hair together like Josuke, so it's not too hard for him to figure out. That doesn't mean he doesn't have his fair share of difficulties, though.

"Amore? Yes, I grabbed the extension hair...gel? Hair gel? Let me check." He rummaged through his plastic bag, worrying just a bit.

"Giogio?" You say, slightly worried. He had been looking for quite a bit. "Giorno," you almost warn, an irritated tone in your voice. Finally you hear the sound of a plastic bag being put down.

"I'm sorry, dear. I got the hair gel. No need to worry."

He finishes your hair nicely. While he does cheat a little bit with his stand when taking out a tangle or lazily getting rid of a pile of extension hair that had a mind of its own, he gets it done well. He puts in blonde, of course, to match with him. You even figure out how to do little hair rolls to match his. He puts wooden beads at the end for a nice finish. Overall, 8/10!

Bruno Bucciarati

Very patient. Shockingly patient. You'd assume he'd try to take a little break, but he kept going until he finished the job (very like him). Although he was a little nervous about messing up your butterfly locs, he still did them pretty nicely.

"Ah, am I twisting these right?" He questioned himself, looking at the loc in his hands. The air smelled heavily of incense and hair product (both because of you).

You smile slightly. "You'll be just fine, dear. You're doing so well already, especially for you first time with faux locs," you reply, a hint of encouragement in your tone. He takes it as inspiration, hums in reply, and continues.

Your locs are gorgeous! Bruno even adds pretty gold charms to go with them. They're simply beautiful and he can't stop staring. Overall, 9/10!

Part 6

Jolyne Kujo

Jolyne has wanted to do your hair for a while. She's retwisted a head or two in jail, so she definitely knows what's up. When you finally say yes, she's ecstatic!

You and Jolyne had been thinking about what kind of hairstyle to do for a while, but she's finally got the best idea.

"Darlingggg?"

You turn your head to Jolyne. "Yesss?"

"Why don't you do jade braids? You can match your hair with mine!" she tells you excitedly.

You think for a moment. "I dunno, Jo...That's kind of a hit or miss."

She sags her shoulders a bit. "You'll be fine, promise. Besides, you and me matching will be sooo cute. Think of the photo opportunities."

You sigh, giving in, but give her a small smile. Moving in quickly, you give her a small kiss on the cheek. "Okay. I trust you."

"Then let me work my magic already."

And she most definitely did. Jolyne gave you crystals and gold accessories as well as lip gloss and mascara (if you're into that) to go with your hair. Surprisingly enough, she had made the yellow/dark green combo work pretty well on your hair. She just wouldn't stop kissing you. 10000/10!

Ermes Costello

Come on now. You know she'll hook you up. As soon as she asks to do your hair, you instantly say yes. The two of you decide to go all out just to prove her braiding skill with micobraids.

"I dunno, Ermes. Microbraids are most definitely not for the weak," you warn her. "Your fingers will be gone when you're not even halfway through."

She simply shrugs. "So? I'll make it worth the wait." She sits you down and begins to work on your hair.

She was, surprisingly enough, able to finish the microbraids in six hours. When you asked her how, she claimed she just had 'fast hands' (something you disagreed with especially when you were playing Mario Kart). She went through the additional pain of adding jewelry to some of the braids (which was hard since there were so many, like lord have mercy), but they looked amazing in the end. 1000/10, like Jolyne.

Another reason why this took so long is because my computer broke 😭 like literally, the entire screen is shattered. it's heartbreaking. fly high little chromebook 😞 on another note, if you guys have any ideas dont be shy to suggest them! a/n: i was talking to some friends about how badly jjba characters could fuck up our box braids. i'm gonna do multiple of these, but for now i'm just gonna do the first 3 jojos/bros. there's a lot of parts so I wanna split them equally- the next one will be part 4, 5, and 6 (maybe 7). hope you enjoy! also ty for over 50 likes on my first post! mwah mwah mwah

Part 1 Jonathan Joestar

Very gentle with your hair. Despite his size, he tries to treat you (and thankfully your hair) as if it might break at any moment. Unfortunately, this means he isn't very willing to actually detangle it.

"Jonathan, please. I need you to actually comb the tangles out of my hair or we'll never be finished."

"I know, my love. I'm sorry. But it might hurt..." "You can be insufferable at times, darling."

Eventually leaves you to detangle your hair by himself so he can do the braiding part, which goes WAY faster. He's quite skilled with his fingers. Makes your braids gorgeous and even adds in crystals and little accessories to spice it up. Overall, 8/10!

Robert E.O. Speedwagon

Very confused. Did you say twists or braids? What's the difference? How do you know? Where did these hairstyles even come from? No matter. Despite his confusion, he's determined to help you out. He's good with detangling and decent with braiding, but decides twisting is the easier way out. It takes him a bit of time to do it though.

"Are you almost done with that twist, darling?" You mumble, exasperated. "Yes dear, just give me a second- oh, that doesn't go that way- sorry, dear-" You giggle as he struggles to finish a single twist, still having half of your hair to finish.

Finally finishes your hair after many, MANY hours. At least he made your hair cute, though. Buys you charms and hair ties so you can style your twists. 7.5/10 for Speedwagon!

Part 2 Joseph Joestar

No idea what he's doing. Tugs, knots, and pulls at your hair accidentally as he simply tries to put it into passion twists. The extensions made it even more difficult as he fumbled with them, trying to make them mesh into your hair seamlessly as you always had. Still very confused.

"Joseph, what the actual fuck are you doing?"

"I DON'T KNOW!" "You better figure it out, Jojo. Please. Do you need a little help?" "For the last time, dollface, I don't need any help. 'M Joseph f'ing Joestar. I can figure this out," He mumbles as he continues to struggle and stress your hair.

When he's done, you look like you got jumped. You give him a kiss and a pat on the back. He tried his best. You secretly take the twists he did out and put your own in overnight, then tell him the twists simply settled last night.

"Huh! Guess I'm not so bad, eh?"

You sigh, then give him a sweet smile. "No, sweetheart. Not at all."

Overall, 4/10. He tried his best, but unfortunately his best was not enough.

Caesar A. Zeppeli

Shocks you with how skillful he is. Even adds in color to your passion twists! Blonde, of course, so you can match with him. Works efficiently and without struggle, but leaves the ends of your twists looking kind of funny.

"Why do the ends of the twists look like that?" "Like what?" Caesar stops and looks at a twist. "Ah. I wasn't exactly sure how to end them. Mi dispiace, amore." Oh well. It wasn't all that bad. And besides, whenever he calls you amore, you can't stay mad at him.

"No worries, darling. I'll fix them later."

Helps you fix the ends of your twists and gives you a pearl necklace to go with the finished look. Overall, 9.5/10!

Part 3

Jotaro Kujo

Very grumpy. Almost says no when you ask him to help you with your hair because he thought it'd be too difficult (and he was kind of right), but you assured him he'd be fine and you'd guide him through the steps of the hairstyle.

"...What did you say this hairstyle was called?" "Goddess braids! They're like box braids, but you have to crochet water wave extensions through the top of the braid." You show him a photo of the hairstyle and he damn near faints.

"...Yare yare. Why do you have to choose such complicated styles?"

"One thing I won't do is hear complaints from a man who didn't wash his hair for 50 days. Better start detangliinggggg..."

He sighs, chuckling a bit, then begins to do your hair.

Finishes relatively quickly and gives you the color of your choice. Buys you an extra large bonnet to keep the curls from getting too frizzy and gives you some silver and gold charms that match some of the charms on his hat. The braids could be better but for his first time doing braids they're pretty good. Overall, 7.5/10, especially for his patience! (still looks irritated about the amount of time it took though)

Kakyoin Noriaki

Very good with washing, detangling, and parting your hair. He does feel stuck about how many braids he has to do or how fast he has to do them. You simply tell him to take his time (but not too much time) and that you can tell him what to do.

"Okay, I'm starting the braids now."

"You said that 10 minutes ago."

"..." "I mean it this time."

Slightly hesitant about actually starting your hair, but he makes it work. Asks if you want to do light pink to match with him and gives you cherry-shaped charms. Also adds pink, red, and white beads to the ends of your braids because he saw someone do that once and thought they'd look cute on you. Overall, 8/10. The braids are pretty and he didn't take too long at all.

Looking in the mirror, you gasp as you look at your gorgeous new braids. "Oh my goshhh, Kakyoin. Have you done this before? You aren't walking around wearing box braids, right? These are so cute!"

He smiles, giving you a quick peck on the cheek. "I tried my best. I'm glad you like them."

idk when part 2 is coming out. maybe later today. hope you enjoyed this little fanfic or whatever, it took me a little while to write lol. feel free to send requests of what you'd like to see next!

The two of you met when Jotaro's ship crashed above your kingdom, alerting you and your subjects. Escaping from the chaos below, you swim to the surface to observe any humans you may see. Suddenly, a young man catches your eye; black hair, angelic features, and strangely tall. And he was drowning. Grabbing him by the arms, you did your best to bring him back to the land.

"Hello?" You mumble, directly next to him. He seemed almost lifeless, skin pale and cold to the touch, but he was still breathing. Reaching over, you gently caress his face. You quickly retract your hands as he flinches. His eyes flickered open, looking straight at you. He sat up abruptly, looking around, then looking at you once more. His eyebrows furrowed as he saw your lack of legs. "...Hello."

Ever since he saw you for the first time, he had always come back to the beach, waiting to see you again. You noticed and started to leave him little gifts; this included shells, rocks, jewelry, and even gave him a mock version of your crown.

Jotaro slowly walked to the edge of the water, awaiting another gift from you. It had been nearly a month since you saw him for the first time, and every day since, he had been waiting for you to show up again. He knew he wasn't crazy. He had seen you with his own eyes. Eventually, a large, pink and purple clam shell washed up. He scooped it up gently, looking out on the water. "When will you come see me again?" He whispered, sighing, then turning around to go home.

Eventually you did meet him again. Having sold your voice for a pair of human legs, you swam up to the shore early in the morning and awaited his arrival. When he finally saw you, he was very confused- didn't you have a tail a little ways back? But it didn't matter. You could finally be with him and he could finally be with you..right?

Jotaro saw you, walking very slowly. "You...I recognize you." You smiled, excited to see him. You try to speak to him, but nothing comes out. You remember your deal with the sea witch. "What's wrong?" He asked, expecting a reply. You place a finger on your throat to tell him that you can't speak. "No voice?...Maybe you aren't the person I'm looking for." You shake your head, then attempt to stand up and walk to him- since your legs were quite new to you, you stumbled awkwardly, landing on his chest. He sighed, catching you in his arms. "Yare yare. Come with me. Let's get you cleaned up."

I've never posted on here before, but here goes 😭

I've never written on Tumblr before, but I'm really fixated on JJBA right now and I looove part 3 even though I'm on part 5. So i wanna write some cute stuff about JJBA characters!
