The Iranian Regime is going to execute rapper Toomaj Salehi for supporting protests of Jina Amini’s murder by the regime in his songs.
Iranian activist Elica Le Bon says, “Iranians in the diaspora picked up on the fact that the regime tends not to execute people who become known to the international community. We have seen many examples of prisoners that were either released on bail or had their sentences commuted through our “say their names to save their lives” campaign on social media, using hashtags to garner attention for their causes, and even before social media existed, through getting the stories of political prisoners to international media outlets. Once reported on, and once the eyes shift to the regime and the reality of its pending brutality, realizing that the action is not worth the repercussions, we have seen them back down and not execute. For that reason, this is part of an urgent campaign for readers to talk about Toomaj as much as you can, using the hashtag #FreeToomaj or #ToomajSalehi. Every comment makes a difference, and if we were wrong, what did we lose by trying?”

Fun fact I learned from drawing the SB epilogue scene:
The epilogue says Chuuya was on a road in the San'in region. I looked up where that was on a map, out of curiosity for how far away that was from Yokohama:
Then, knowing Asagiri loves references (as should be), I went on a little wikipedia hunt and found that the Nakahara Chuuya Memorial Museum was built where his father's clinic was established after the war. The house's description and what was around it in the novel's translation didn't seem to match the museum, so I ended up improvising a new place. However, using that as a reference point for where the in-world house and clinic was, we get:
an 11 to 12 hours drive to get there
Chuuya showed up on his motorcycle. Akutagawa and Higuchi were already there in a mafia car. They all DROVE there!!! Chuuya stayed for like half an hour to watch from afar before just leaving!!!!!!!

HI I SAW DABIHAWKS ICE AKATER AU AND INNEED TO KNOW MORE.
SO INTERESTED IN THIS CONCEPT SO I HAVE A FEW QUESTIONS IF YOU DONT MIND:
1. What genre of skating are the characters in? Assuming dabihawks are singles skaters but what about other characters? Do we get any ice dancers at all or pairs?
2. What would Dabi and hawks respective styles be like? Do you have any references for their programs and styles or do you just wing it? If so, who’s the inspiration behind each character!
3. WHATS THE MAJN TRIO/UA STUDENTS DOINGHERE ARE THERE ANY HAWKS TOKOYAMI INTERACTISONS PLS
4. You said you’re a skating fan so this is a personal one, who’s your fave skater and why? In Any discipline

as for your questions!!!
1)Obvs Touya and Keigo r both singles male skaters, although I hc Touya having at least a little training in ice dance or pairs but im still ironing out how im adding that in but its there!!!
Fighting w myself on whether im making Fuyumi a pairs skater or singles, maybe I'll do both but she honestly is a hard one for me bc i think she'd suit all disciplines. Natsuo is pairs but like on a collegiate level. Did have a thought of making Natsuo and Fuyumi skate together as ice dancers but im honestly not sure yet. Todo fam dynamics are important to me so im spending a lot of effort on what they're all doing to try and have it fit.
Kaina is also singles as well as himiko and Tomura (most of the league is singles imo besides Kurogiri and Compress who r coaches and potentially Jin???) Rumi is also singles cuz she eats fr but other than that I've not thought too much about other characters since I'm not that far into the plot yet to need to reference others as much.
2)THIS IS A QUESTION I HAVE BEEN DYINNNNNGGGGG TO ANSWER OMG))))) okay so I do have base references bc i am NOT abt to choreograph for a fanfic sorry im just not that good and or have the time. Touya's original base ref is Jun Hwan Cha, and Keigo's is a mix of Yuzuru Hanyu, Yuma Kagiyama and Shoma Uno. Honestly Keigo is just harder to pin down for me since i love him sm (im biased soooo bad sue me). This makes more sense in the context of the fic's plot but i think they suit their respective references. I also am more of a ladies fan myself so i have some women who influence the way im writing them, mainly Yulia Lipnitskaya, Kamila Valieva, Alina Zagitova, and Anna Shcherbakova, but these references are wayyyy less obvious and mainly just because its very uncommon for men (or at least it was pre-2022 before the age rule change) to enter senior level at 15. Men usually stayed in juniors as long as possible since it wasn't a race against time like it is with these young girls team tut and russia pushes out year after year. However its important to how I write Keigo that he comes up that early, and so i needed some references that wouldve been accurate to how i write his skating and also that reflect his young age/relative inexperience on the world stage.
going more into individual style, Touya is a spinner, whereas Keigo is definitely a complete all rounder. Touya has unique spinning positions and a level of flexibility others dont, and his tall and lanky structure benefits this in the form of longer, more aesthetically pleasing lines and positions.
Still debating on technique wise for each skater's way of jumping but Keigo is an incredible jumper (reference to his quirk being literal wings). He jumps incredibly High and also his rotation speed is extremely fast. He excels at quads. This is in part due to his shorter height. Touya in turn, who is taller, struggles to get height in his jumps. His rotation speed is average, but the lack of height means he can't fully rotate a quad since he cant get up into the air enough to add another rotation. I'm going to link specific programs when I start posting chapters so you can see the direct references and hear the music and stuff so !!!!
Imo Touya is more artistic than he is technical, but his artistry has a sort of power and darkness to it - he uses skating to express pent up emotion and his skating esp post endeavour, feels very authentic and emotional. He's the type of skater you just can't look away from.
Keigo is similar, but his skating is less dark and more,,, ethereal????? the illusion of freedom i guess. His skating is less for himself and for the sake of those around him - its for an audience. His performances still inspire awe and convey emotion, but its more put together, calm, and intentional than Touya's raw skating.
The main difference is that Keigo, imo is a prodigy that has a sort of artistic flair that can't be taught which drags an audience in, regardless of how it may be less authentic and a facade to who the real Keigo is.
Touya in comparison, is forged completely by his life experiences rather than raw talent. His skill is something that has to be lived to be learnt. Its not something he was born with, but something that came as a result of all he's experienced over the years, hence why he matures as a skater in his senior years, becoming much more engaging to watch over time than Keigo, who may become more technically proficient over the years but loses the raw enjoyment that made his skating so exciting to the pressures the sport weighs on him to be perfect.
Keigo also sticks to the conventional A LOT. always skating to classical music, never lyrical, always the same style of skating. Touya is way more experimental in this sense and is always trying different things. He skates more for himself than for the judges, although his experimentation is also in aid of trying to close the gap with his quad-landing competitors. Also leading back to my potential inclusion of Touya being an ice dancer at some point is his really stable and good twizzles. IDK it just fits.
ONTO other characters inspirations, Kaina is based off equal amounts Rika Kihira and Evgenia Medvedevas styles. I would talk about her style and what that means to me about her in another post cuz this would get too long LMFAO. Fuyumi, if in singles would be a Marin Honda type, while in ice dance she'd be shibutani twins vibes w natsu. Rumi is heavily based of Kaori Sakamoto (KAORI 3-PEAT WORLD CHAMPION ILY) and Himiko is based on for now Sasha trusova and mao shimada.
3) hmmmm for the UA students they are def still there so dont worry, i just havent given their roles in the story much thought yet since its not class1-a centric lol.
the class a trio def play a part, since i mean shouto is there so he's massively relevant to touyas characterisation. They're not NOT there, since I'm having them all train at the same rink, and UA is like a sports school in the au with a figure skating team which Shouto and gang r a part of. think of it as like,,, a feeder to national events and stuff.
Tokoyami is also going to be relevant im glad you brought him up!!! not so much "relevant" but hes there a good amount!!! He's Keigo's student in the au (well student sort of bc hawks isnt really that great of a teacher lol) in the current time frame of the au they're all their canon ages so 15 ish so theyre def in that awkward phase of ohmygof im training at the same rink as my idols/current champions versus i need to prove im good enough to replace them when the time comes.
If i end up invested may do a spin off one-shot of class a at some point but thats ages away sooooo....plently of tokoyami and hakws interactions tho dont you worry )))
4) ooooo this question is wayyyy too broad i could never pick just one.... I'll give you a few current likes both retired and competing.
RIP kamila valieva you would've loved the 2025 season. Alexandra Trusova has always been a favourite of mine and I'm hoping the rumours of her return next season are true SO BADDD idc its with team tut atp i need her back........
Also really liking Sofia Muravieva her SP this season was BANGERRRRR. an all time fav are the pyeongchang girlies alina and zhenya my beloveds but neither really perform much anymore which is sad. alinas been skating the same programs for the past few years and im thinking she may even quit shows soon...
on the international side outside of RUSFED,,,, Kaori sakamoto my beloved love to see her getting the accomplishments she deserves, and Amber Glenn USA is a big one. Ik she likes anime so she could be lurking round here somewhere amber if u see this ily <333
Team Korea has my entire heart esp Haein Lee.
In mens I actually really like Ilia Malinin rn and Jun Hwan Cha. Adam Siao Him Fa is also another really great skater and Yuma Kagiyama is one of my all time faves hes great. Obvs Yuzuru retired now but i do love him to bits.
Cant say i watch pairs or ice dance HOWEVER!!! Aliona Kostornaia and her husband WORLD DOMINATION IN PAIRS PLEASEEEEEEE. also the japanese pair who skated to yuri on ice ROCK idk their names i think its Kihara/Miura????? Ice dance im really rooting for Davis/Smolkin idc idc their black swan program ATEEEEE. Also recently Flores/Desyatov are great. Thats all mostly!!!!
