Astrology opinion—

I don’t really view full moons to be about letting go and new moons to be about new beginnings.

I think full moons and new moons are purely about celebrating!

The full/new moon is such a small window of time compared to waxing and waning periods— it feels like people are forgetting that the 28 day cycle calls for gradual change.

I think this is why most people know full moons and new moons to feel hectic. There’s almost like a subconscious feeling of rush complete the cycle— rather than prepared for the full moons light or the new moons dark.

Of course it may not make sense for everyone, but Here’s my take on the cycle:

New moon (dark, no light)— hidden parts of yourself, being with the self

Waxing moon (expressing more and more light)— gradually shining light on these hidden parts of yourself, working to come to terms with those parts

Full Moon (light)— full light on parts of yourself you’ve worked to no longer hide, celebration

Waning (expressing less light)— gradually assessing the hidden parts of yourself, working to break down the light that needs to become dark

And repeat!

Its like if the new moons were before the party was even thought of, waxing is the idea of the party and setting up, the full moon is the party itself and waning is the saying goodbyes and cleaning up.

I think taking advantage of the waxing and waxing periods would not only allow us the much needed time to celebrate ourselves, but also it would help us rush less as a community.

Hi! How are you?

Can you do placements that will affect the stereotype of other placements? I know someone who is a cancer moon in the 12th known for being the caring friend but is nothing like that. They having a cancer moon would be my last guess lol

The fact that its in the 12h can signify a lot about how its not exactly clear that they are a Cancer Moon. There are also a few other things that could go into play, such as harsh aspects from other planets to this placement in their own chart— or even harsh aspects to you in a synastry chart. For example, if the Moon is conjunct Uranus, they might not be as stable emotionally as the Cancer Moon alone. And as for Synastry, if their Cancer moon is squaring your Moon, you may feel they aren’t really on the same page and as you emotionally, maybe they’re harsh. Because of synastry, you may have friends that feel that person IS caring because they resonate with their chart in that way. I would say though, based off the information you gave me, that since the 12h is indicative of hidden things, they may struggle with being outwardly nurturing somehow. I would look more to their 11h to find more about what kind of friend they are— being that its most likely in Gemini, they’re probably more of a trickster, and care more to mess around. You can also look to the 4th house to see what emotional persona they have, because this is the condition and essentially the home of the emotional body— since it’s probably in Sagittarius, emotionally they may be more self invested.

Retrogrades in Astrology

Retrograde planets in Astrology are like spaceship countdowns 🚀.

Countdowns begin days before, to ensure, with many tests, that the ship is ready & has all it needs. You might even say these tests are putting the ship through the illusion of flight.

Much like how the spaceship is going through tests, the planetary body (or rather, its associations) will also be tested. The body is only seemingly moving backwards, which is similar to the illusion of flight.

A planetary body stations at a degree, then it goes Rx and counts DOWN in degrees. Then when it’s done, it stations again and then goes direct and counts UP. So it’s like this:

The ship is built based off of what we know prior to countdown. Now its going to go through a testing period/countdown— In this period its going to be put through the illusion of flight, so that it is given a chance at the real thing. And then the time for the real thing comes and we have to rely on the tests we endured in the countdown.

Having retrograde planets in your chart can point to how you will be tested on a personal level. Its almost like in this lifetime you’ll have to work on this area routinely (but don’t stress it, do your best to get used to it). **reply with your natal retrograde planets for a deeper look into them(include house +degree if you would like)

Astrology teaches us that what’s happening around us from the moment we are born, affects us. Living through retrograde planets can test us as a collective, while also challenging us as individuals when related to our natal charts. The planets you have retrogrades in may be areas of your life that affect you deeply, as they were themes of the time you were born. The development of them is the ideal world, though. To some, it may be considered unfavorable to face these necessary challenges and tests. It can, however, be rewarding to pass them, if the end goal suits you.

So, retrogrades are not “bad” but they just challenge us to work on ourselves and reach great lengths 🚀🌕

Astrology Observations for Moon Placements

Moon Sign Observations Part 1

Aries Moon - Usually Aries Moons are softies and only express this around people they are comfortable with. When something stings them, they hold that feeling very close to themselves and may do the opposite of what you think an Aries would do, and become emotionally. However, they are of course also very good at cultivating their emotions into anger.

Taurus Moon - If a Taurus Moon has a lack of Leo placements, chances are, they are very good at moderating their use of social media. Often times I meet this placement and they are aware that the use of social media can be detrimental to their mental or emotional health, so they either do not participate at all or do so in moderation.

Gemini Moon - I find that people with Gemini Moons are often the best at having a good time. They have lots of mental energy, so if they are in a time period where they are mentally secure, they are emotionally well and very good at having fun and being social. This placement usually tells me that someone is very funny.

Cancer Moon - Women with this placement usually exude the energy of a woman despite their body type or size. They have a womanly essence, are very motherly and warm in their gaze.

Leo Moon - Having this placement usually means you highly self concerned. Even in situations where you are not directly involved, you feel as though you are. I also notice that this placement, for the most part, gives one good posture.

Virgo Moon - Having this placement gives your loved ones the biggest indication of poor mental health— a messy living environment. Lack of organization in a Virgo Moons’ life, means they are not emotionally stable. Your appetite and gut health may be personal indications of this as well.

Libra Moon - Personally, I notice that women with this placements embody “pretty” just a little bit more than a Libra rising. Usually, regardless of how they look, them and their surroundings must be their personal embodiment of “pretty”.

Scorpio Moon - Having a Scorpio Moon may mean that shadow work is beneficial for you. This placement shows me that someone absorbs a lot in an emotional sense, so finding ways to release some of this energy is good for their wellbeing.

Sagittarius Moon - Similar to Gemini Moon, this placement is looking to have fun. However, I find that this placement usually uses their humor as a way to cope. Nonetheless, they usually have kind spirits.

Capricorn Moon - For the most part all the Capricorn Moons I have met come from broken families. They usually cultivate this into creating their own personal stability, though. This means they are often capable of creating a better home life for the family they create.

Aquarius Moon - This placement gives me the energy of someone who came from a family with lots of traditions, but knew that there was life outside that life. As they grow older, they are often better able to both honor the traditions AND express their more open minded.

Pisces Moon - I find that this placement usually has a interesting relationship with their mom. They may feel like their relationship with their mother is toxic, usually phasing in and out of good and bad times. The more they set boundaries, the less common the bad times become (though, for some, the boundary may mean no contact).

Black Moon Lilith

Your Lilith sign is located by finding the furthest point that The Moon orbits from the Earth in your chart.

When The Moon is it’s farthest from the Earth, it’s gravitational pull is at it’s weakest; The Moon is still the same body, however, because of it’s distance, it loses some of it’s pull on Earth.

This is mystically aligned with the story of Lilith— The first wife of Adam, who, upon refusal to submit to him, is kicked out of the Garden of Eden.

Just as it’s up to the moon to be it’s own body, despite not having as much “control” over the Earth and the distance, it’s Lilith’s job to recognize that she can be her own person, despite not having as much “control” over Adam and her situation.

ECLIPSE IN TAURUS

2:59AM PST

Overview:

The eclipse is at 16°, which is a Cancer degree so in general its going to be surrounding home life. It can also be relating to emotions, the mother and security.

The Moon is in Taurus- Taurus rules personal finances, values and self worth as well as stability and comfort.

It's opposite The Sun in Scorpio- Scorpio is the worth you get from others and money you get from others. Its about transformation and having control.

Full Moons are all about letting go, but in the sense of an eclipse its going to be drowning out The Sun.

In all:

Our self worth, our own finances and our own values will drown out the need to get our self worth, finances and values from others.

And it could be evident in your relationship with your mother &/ your partners mother (being that Scorpio rules in-laws).

This is the final eclipse of the season of Taurus and Scorpio. As a collective, we have learned self reliance over the last 18 months and we must close this chapter by valuing ourselves over the judgement of others.

Though it is clear we have come to that understanding, it is evident that this will not be the easiest of transitions, due to a debilitated Venus. But it is key that we remind ourselves to not change and transform for the satisfaction of others. We must challenge ourselves to prioritize stability in our sense of self worth.

Astrology Observation:

The degree on the axis of houses in your chart can show you what kind of connection those two areas of you life have, and what the experience between them will be.

Examples with mood boards:

If your 1st and 7th house are at 8°, then the experience between your self and your relationships will be something that transforms you, and may require lots of work in terms of control. You may utilize occult practices and divination in order to guide yourself through love.

If your 6th and 12th house are at 4°, navigating your health and illnesses will involve your emotional self. It may require the help or connection with your mother. The home may be significant in your work to balance this area as well— it’s possible that you do therapy from home, or that your home is a place where you can both serve others and enjoy solitude.

If your 5th and 11th house are at 15°, your goals and sense of creativity can be connected through communication, short term travel and being social.
