i think deku's never given enough credit for how much crazier he is than katsuki. like... if we're looking at them surface level izuku's the more well-adjusted, liked, sociable one but whenever Shit He Cant Process Well happens, he always rushes in, no plan, all teeth and grit, out here growling and drooling like an honest to god rabid wild animal to the point where his own quirk restrains him or goes haywire (blackwhip). katsuki always looks lowkey scared when he sees deku's crazy eyes, like holy shit, hes gonna get himself killed. while katsuki on the other hand, has always been calm and collected in stressful situations, despite pretending otherwise. he always has a tight rein on himself and his emotions, so every action is purposeful, especially in the latter part of the manga and this parallel between them kills ms

Bruce gets accosted by reporters and one of them asks "Is it true that you're in competition with Superman to win Batman's affections?" and he is so taken aback bc what the fuck are they even talking about? There are a million questions going through his head such as, since when was superman into batman? since when was this public knowledge? wtf did bruce say to imply that he was into batman as well? And he doesn't have an answer to any of these questions so he just smiles and says, "No, I'm not. The word competition implies that Superman has a chance, which he does not."
why did he say that? Bruce doesn't know, it just felt like that's how Bruce Wayne would've responded bc what's more Brucie than fighting with Superman for Batman's heart? anyway, upon reflection, this was maybe not the best response in terms of long term consequences, but he's committed to the bit now.
a week after all this goes down, news reporter Clark Kent is caught saying that Batman deserves better than Bruce Wayne, so is a third suitor putting his hat in the ring to win over batman?

Heist Teams AU
last day and I have a finished, 7k word fic for this one! Please check out the full story here. Special thanks to @daysiewish for helping me develop this story and @hexburn for proofreading. This will be a lore breakdown of the AU, inspirations, references and random anecdotes. I'm pretty happy with this one.

The Organization was based on the ICA in the Hitman series, a contracting org that sends out teams of specialized agents to fulfill the whims of the contractor. Be this heists or assassinations or smear campaigns, the Organization is known for its 'anything goes' methods and high success rate. Agents within it eventually work up the ranks to become handlers, scouts or leaders themselves. The top agents in each category of agent make up half of the board.
Agents are split along roles and into teams of 5. These 5 roles are directly borrowed from TV show Leverage: Hacker, Hitter, Thief, Grifter and Mastermind. Though notably during the show, there is significant overlap (the thief is training to be the next mastermind, the hacker and hitter can both grift etc.). Some of this exists in this AU as well. Each section of the agents has an unofficial leader (given darker colors to match). Faker has stood at the top of the Masterminds for 10 years while Deft was appointed last year. Showmaker is the best of the Hitter's out of sheer rage that is condensed in his frame. Lord Morgan leads the Thieves though in general, they have a much looser arrangement.
Trainers teach the next generation and are largely retired agents themselves.
Each team has a 'handler' within it. While this tends to be the Mastermind, sometimes another team member will talk to the higher ups. Usually, this responsibility is a sign that this person is being considered as a successor.
From Danganropa, I borrowed some of what happened with various 'classes' of students. For those who are not familiar, Danganropa is a video game series that presents itself as a slice-of-life high school game that quickly turns into a horror game that questions the fragility and strength of humanity. While these elements I confined to non-graphic parts of backstories, they did leave a lasting impact that do affect the plot.
This was also made with the 2023 teams in mind, so team structures are based on those rosters.

While I don't know much about HLE, I was sent this picture when musing over hitters and well, it is basically Viper and 4 bodyguards so in they all went.
T1 was actually the easiest to clock because they perfectly fit into the 5 role system. Zeus is a thief (stealing not just Oner's money but everyone else's), Oner is a hitter, Keria is a cute charmer, Faker is a mastermind shotcaller. All I needed was Guma to learn some code.
Deft/Canyon was a bit, odd for DK since I felt like they both could be the mastermind but ultimately split them like this. They probably do help each other out a lot when it comes to planning though. Canna was somewhere between hitter and thief but I ended on thief since his icon is a sneaky fox.
There is no way Beryl was going to be anything but the guy with the glasses flashing, sitting ominously with his millions of screens. Probably hacks in C6 copies of all of genshin characters.
The Thieves leader made me wrack my brain but I decided on Morgan as 'the one the higher-ups consider the most responsible out of the older set of misfits which in practice means he's only late on the paperwork 30% of the time and not 70% of the time but that's probably only because Umti does half of it'. The thieves I can see just being general goofballs and their whole deal is not getting caught so they're not as violent or jaded as their other teammates. Can they drop a guy with a pencil? Sure but they'll rarely be in that position and in most of those instances, the hitter will get called in to bail them out anyways. Which I imagine happens to Zeus and Oner a fair bit because while Zeus is nimble, he has his clumsy moments. Mowgli is counting down the days Peyz is old enough to take over the spot.
Babysitting the Hacker is 100% a thing because they are the weakest combat-wise. This is done with varying degrees of enthusiasm though the pair on the best terms is Clear and Willer. Bodyguarding and watching cameras is boring so they talk together a lot. Willer has a tendency to run his mouth but Clear likes listening to him.
Transitioning roles also happens. Peanut was originally a thief because smol, but eventually shifted into being a grifter because an injury prevented him from scaling 3 stories of vents like he used to. He occasionally plays up the bad back angle to extort food out of his friends. Peyz is his protogee/son and he has had arguments with Faker over who has the better child.
Rascal is infamous as a hardass trainer and is used as a threat frequently among other agents. Keria abuses this liberally.
Lehends is the most coin-flippy grifter in existence and to this day he has not scored with Faker or Deft. There is a very active betting pool about the next Lehends Incident. Chovy is winning and may or may not be wheedling Deft for information.

But the character I'm currently like liking that isn't like a esports pro player, is like from a super old show that i never watched while it was airing and that is Klaus Mikaelson from the show The Originals that i only started watching because i watched this video (mind you this has spoilers for the plot for the entire show)

Nothing like a 3 hour very well made essay on a show that is actually not romance focused and actually has a really good premise and interesting characters as said in the video to make me start watching a show that i kinda knew existed, but not really.
Like I've never watched the Vampire Diaries, not one episode and never felt the need to. I'm not a particular fan of long drawn out messy love triangles and stuff so i just didn't watch The Vampire Diaries. I guess that's why i missed the existence of The Originals until the above video recap/essay convinced me to try watching The Originals just for the character development of this blonde arrogant vampire aka this fucker.
Like it's kinda unreal just how a 3 hour essay on a show I've never watched got me interested into actually watching this show

Heck look at them i am interested especially since they're said to have a compelling bond and the rapport between the actors is actually fun to watch
Also I'm so glad that it apparently doesn't focus as much on romance and more into vampire shenanigans and vampire politics, which honestly kinda more my jam.
Also Joseph Morgan better have won an award for his acting on this show as Klaus because I'm just halfway through s1 and this cast is stellar holy shit.
So, for now, in between re-watching T1 games, i am slowly making my way through The Originals.
Because yes I do follow league esports a lot and ever since T1 won the Worlds Championship this year (T1 WON WORLDS 2023 HELL FUCKING YES LPL DOWN!!!! ALL ROADS LEAD TO FAKER!!!! AND HIS FOURTH WAS FOR HIS TEAMMATES 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 ah sorry i am very emotional this team finally won) I've been unable to do anything but watch T1 matches.
It's therapeutic and cathartic don't judge me everyone has different ways of getting serotonin these days. For me it's watching 5 korean guys who are a team consisting of the oldest as a mentor/older brother/captain and also known as the unkillable demon king and his 4 demon children who are actually the cutest citie-patooties irl play video games and dominate over the so called best teams in the world.

Someday i might just end up writing an essay on zofgk who knows?
