Notes from February 1st, 2023
Today I did some short reading: Black Internet Effect by Shavone Charles, Night Lunch by Eric Fan (an illustrated book), and this medium article. I caught up with my friend about our dreams and plans ahead, also our internship applications progress. Hopefully we’ll land on an opportunity soon!
We had a meeting earlier for our research project to discuss how-to’s manuscript writing. The new format makes us so inspired to start writing our findings from the field! And I will have a user interview tomorrow, which to me is very unexpected, but we’ll see.

Never knew that creating a vision board is such a game changer. I opened my devices and my mood lightened up instantly.

To lovely humans who were excluded from invitations, left behind when they tied their shoes, forced to walk in the grass when the sidewalk was full, spoken over when you tried to contribute, whispered about or laughed at, given side-eye when you tried to fit in…. you are so worthy of love.

I don’t do much this weekend. Period cramps beat me, so I spoilt myself with my favorite Korean foods and newly watched movie 20th Century Girl. I already knew a major spoiler though I prevented myself from engaging in the discussion, I cried really ugly. It’s bittersweet, yet I will put it within my list of comfort movies. I did make my lunch today, yeay! Hopefully when I feel a lot better I can revise my research proposal ASAP. Have a splendid weekend, everyone!
And look I got a visitor 🦋

05.09.2022 // the damn fire alarm went off in the uni library and everyone in the whole damn building had to evacuate and i was forced to interact with people that i'd been avoiding. not it, chief.

p.s i don't think anything serious happened with the fire alarm, this happens often in other buildings

Good foods. Good books. Good time.
I followed up my supervisor today regarding my research proposal and she’s been very eye-opening. Also I curated my room earlier only to realize I made a lot of purchases as of lately, but I’m cutting my food takeaways now—an excuse, or a motivation?

Been writing on my traditional journal, and living to the fullest, that I haven’t written any here since two days ago! Life has been about staying connected with friends and relatives, making coffee, attempting to clean eating, doing and folding laundry, content creating and designing, and listening to a lot of jazz, really. Got my skincare package arrived today and I made that random book reading guide to keep me entertained while watching her interview. I want to read her works so badly, though, I already have The Goldfinch by now.

Spent some quality time with my research team—whilst working—and an old friend. These past two days I’ve also been researching about content marketing for an internship opportunity. I have so many ideas but it’s confusing at the same time, the poster of 2521 on the last picture keeps me going, that I can use my youth creativity for good.
