one thing i never get tired of in songs is when they include some sounds from the recording booth like a laugh at the end, a ‘was that good?’ or like, the sounds of the guitar being put down, a chair creaking. it’s nice how music can be used as an escape but also something that ties you right back down to earth. it will affect you so deeply & then ur like wow… you just played that. it’s grounding & magical & just one of my fave things ever!
so much in my mind about zayn on hot ones; teary eyed about everything but hey the way he said he does have a favourite plant but he doesn’t think it’s appropriate to say it on the show?? once again proves zouis are platonic soulmates
these two different things that i like are actually very similar and connected to each other in a way if you just look at it with the keen eye of a total nutcase
Every fall out boy song is like *nonsense lyric* *nonsense lyric* *the most profound cunt serving couplet in the English language since Shakespeare that sends you straight back to middle school* *nonsense*
“I’m almost 50, and here is the best thing I have learned so far: every strange thing you’ve ever been into, every failed hobby or forgotten instrument, everything you have ever learned will come back to you, will serve you when you need it. No love, however brief, is wasted.” @louisethebaker on Twitter
So in the end Look at us now was about the band and how they’ve collectively made this really great thing into something tragic and it wasn’t about any couple in particular. The scene when Daisy turns and sings it to the band is one of the most upsetting in the episode
Karen's "I told him what he needed to hear, but I wasn't being honest with him" was so powerful.
I also didn't take it as her being hung up on Graham, but acknowledging that she really did love him. She loved him enough to let him go because they wanted different things in life and in the end, they both got what they wanted.
I think my favorite thing about daisy jones and the six is that even when they're making bad decisions its the best they could do at the time or for themselves or it really fits with who they are or what's going on. so many shows are ruined by dumb choices that don't fit the situation or are out of character. djats avoids that really well and shows the perspective that made them make that choice. it's really hard to blame any of them for the fall out which makes it really tragic and compelling
something something camila mouthing “thank you” to karen after she makes sure she’s included in the band’s headcount something something daisy telling simone to go talk to bernie something something seeing simone’s natural hair something something camila and her mom speaking spanish together something something karen kicking the boys out of the control room to make daisy less anxious something something
