On the discussion of book accurate depictions of Sherlock Holmes, one thing I really want is accurate Mycroft. In the books Sherlock is very… autistically coded. At least to me, an autistic person. And Sherlock basically states that Mycroft has more “severe” autism. Sherlock says his brother is more brilliant than he is but absolutely cannot function in society and hates social interaction so much he founded a society for the purpose of minimizing it as much as possible. In addition it’s implied he becomes overstimulated so easily he has to curate his environment to be devoid of disturbance and noise.

Give me the autistic brothers but one has it much much worse

Enough of this Mycroft as the more sociable of the two who is a powerful politician. This man would have a meltdown if he had to be that social!!!

With the new season of owl house on the horizon I made a background repaint. Since this was the most complex background repaint I’ve tried so far (and the fact I got a tad out of practice through the summer) it took me nearly 19 hours to complete. I can’t wait to see what Danna has in store for these last 3 specials!

I feel that stereotypes are harmful to people that do and don’t fit them. I feel we talk a lot about how harmful they are to those who don’t fit into a percived stereotype and how reducing a group down to a singular mold is insanely harmful to people who break it; but I don’t think we talk enough about how they harm the people who do fit the mold, the guilt of unwillingly matching aspects of a stereotype.

For me this is to do with my transness, I am a skinny, white, neurodiverget, ace, afab, teenager with dyed hair who’s transmasc. Which falls into the stereotype of what trans masculine people are in my experience.

My mother thinks my gender identity and sexuality is a phase that I’ll grow out of when I’m older, that it’s just a side effect of being autistic, that I’m just confused, that I’m just woman lite.

I know this post isn’t very articulate and a bit rambling but I needed to get it off my chest as it’s something I’ve been thinking about a lot, how stereotypes are just as harmful to people who fit them as those who don’t

HE’S FUCKING WEIRD BUT HE NEVER FAILS TO MAKE PEOPLE SMILE WITH HIS COOKING. AND HE ABSOLUTELY WOULD HAVE A TIKTOK FOR COSPLAYING. HIS MOST LIKES ON A VIDEO WOULD BE FROM DRESSING IN THE GERUDO ATTIRE.

He also has been known to scale the school building if he’s late to class. He finds out that Zelda is into plants, specifically edible ones and that she knows a lot about them. Like a scary amount and almost immediately when he starts asking about what plants are best for cooking she asks him if he would eat a frog for science.

He has to take the next week off from school but he informs her that it wasn’t nearly as bad as he thought it would be, but it cause him to have adverse effects and that he even wrote it all down for her.

They are definitely the weird ones in school and yet everyone seems to be on the same page that they’re absolutely adorable together despite doing the most disgusting things.
