"Cecilia?" My words leave my lips before I can stop myself. The sound of my voice startles you, but your mouth keeps shut. I know you won't talk to me today either by the look of fury in your eyes. "I'm so sorry C, I'll make it up to you." My words feel like a lie, "do you believe in Me?" Of course you don't believe in me. I failed you. There is no going back now. Your eyes glare at my shoes. "How could you?" You turn around and start running away, your white crocs leaving prints in the sand.

The croc wedding.

I walk up the isle to my beloved, soon to be husband. His smile gives me courage, his eyes gives me strength. I let my eyes drop to his shoes, black and glossy, perfectly shaped as if they were created by the hands of an artist. I correct myself, they Are. Everything about him gives me life, but it’s his shoes that gives me hope for the future. And I cannot help but let a bubbly laughter leave my lips as my feet touches the inside of my beautifully carved white croc-heels. He’s gonna love them!
