One thing I really enjoy doing that most people don't do
in lams (musical) fanfic is adding that cool as hell latin
touch to some of John and Alex's dialogue, some of the
items they own, and topics they discuss.
that most of the time get brushed over with white
washing, just genuinely forgetting to or not thinking it's
going to fit in the story, or feeling like it's not historically
accurate but most of the musical isn't, it's a story about a
founding father told through POC people.
I'm just saying it adds another level of realism and adds
the Lin and Anthony touch to it so it's something to
consider adding to your books.
Also this is a reminder that both Lafayette and Alex are
modern day immigrants coming from different cultures
and with Laf an entire different language.
If they are new to America in your book write them as
such.
This isn't targeted or anything It's just my opinion about
stuff I apologize for ranting this is just something I've
wanted to talk about for awhile because it is such a huge
part of Hamilton and it gets glossed over a lot of the time
in fanfic.

A few things; I'm pretty sure that Martha Manning's birth records aren't there I tried to get some information off of her for my lams musical book and other than being married to John and giving birth to Frances I couldn't find much else on her.
In the comments of the original post @john-laurens explains the misinformation on the slave thing.
