I wish all of you atleast 1 piece of obligatory or platonic chocolate/candy this Valentine's day. Get more? Congrats, you overachiever. In a relationship? I wish you a good night/date/etc.
Reminder for those that need it, if you feel any negative feelings this week about valentine's day a few ways to transmute your feelings:
- these people are celebrating the death of a person with confessions of love, feel free to remind people of this.
- this is mainly to feed the capatalistic machine, if you are not happy about this holiday, you don't have to be.
- discount candy is almost within reach, have patience, ourntime is almost near! Prepare thy waist bands!
- aromantic spectrum awareness week is next week, stew just a little longer until you have the ability to just flaunt your queerness.

I could write a love story with my friends. Just because romance is what many strive for, does not mean the rest of us do.
My friends and I have all decided that we are poly in the way that we draw a lot of comfort and support from eachother. Sending each other titoks that prompt you to send to your feiends so that they can tell you what they think you are. But, starting the interaction with a fine little description for them, since you know it will make them feel seen. We have our "kids" that are little queers that need older queers in their life. We have our get togethers that are litterally just going to someone's house and chilling bc we are late 20- to mid 30-year-olds.
Sometimes, the life and partners you need are not the ones that everyone else wants. The only boundary between us and happiness is telling society we don't need its approval.

My friends all laugh that I have "too much rizz." I do nothing in particular. I honestly just live my life as authentically as I can.
This does not stop men and women from thinking that they have a chance. They will push that they are allowed to flirt if they would like. They will countinue to shoot their shot with indirect and direct boundaries are tried to be placed. People use others to inquire about my relationship status, and even more than the previous scenarios.
When in certain situations I am happy to interact with people in settings where this might be inferred (e.g. the club). But, I should be able to feel safe in most public settings of not being hit on.
I honestly have grown tired of these things. So, I no longer act in a way where there is a possibility for misinterpretation and build firm boundaries.
This was just something I kinda wanted to get out so I will forgo tags.

Went to one of my friends' house warming/Halloween/Samhain party. The friend group baby gay was calling us her lesbian parents. Late after everything kind of settled we were hanging on her bed
Baby gay: yeah! And you two are married! You even have matching rings that she (me) bought you (other aro friend).
Friend: *looks down at her aro ring and back up* honey, this means the exact opposite of being in a relationship
Me: everyone at *redacted name of where I used to work* thought we were a couple! But boy, were they WRONG!

Do any other afab aros, aces, or aroaces accidently get the "spreadsheet lesbian" label from your friends? Since, in the queer friend group, I am the only one that remembers the queer agenda and keeps it moving forward for our portion of the lgbtq+ community that we have.
Like, we're going to the pride parade? Holiday party? Friendcation together? V is incharge of planning, organizing, communicating, dividing any duties, and all follow up.
Doesn't help that the rest of the group has diagnosed ADHD.

Another year, and more dicoveries. Once you figure out your sexuality, it usually has a slippery slope toward figuring out your gender. Trying to make people more comfy when I switch from gender to gender is hard, but happy to be working on it. Being in the rural south is not as much of a hinderence as some may think. I hope you have had a great year and that your journey is going well!

I think aroaces are required to have a bi, pan, and/or omni friends. Because I just did something that my friend had to basically tell me that if I was allo, that would be flirting.
But I had no intention behind it besides just having a little amusement!
That's the part, she let me know, that makes me aroace.

My family and new coworkers: you would look so great with long hair again
Me, inside my head: so that men can give me a hard time? 10/10 prefer the gaze of lesbians and bisexual women than the disgusting words of men.
