Not sure who needs to see this, but if a Service Dog starts backing into you, pushing you away from their handler, or they sit down at a leash distance from their handler
You Should Move Away.
They are performing a task known as "spacing" or "blocking" that helps reduce or prevent anxiety in their handler.
They are NOT "asking for pets" or being disobedient or asking to be spoken to. All you have to do is stay back from the dog and handler.
This is not a capslock PSA because I'm not sure how many people that don't have a SD actually know this is a trained task.

Please understand how individual experiences are, and how difficult it makes it to have the right words for our experiences.
Please reassure us when we seem to be getting upset. Let your system friend know you will never think they’re lying or faking their condition. Let your system friend know you still love them, and you’ll be there for them when you can be.
When we come forward about our multiplicity, please, please, just listen and love. offer hugs, offer kindness, offer as much understanding as you can.

Hey everyone! I got hit by a car! Three hours after my car passed inspection to drive for Uber! Two days after I left my previous job! This means I have no income until insurance settles (and I possibly pursue legal action, undecided on that) but I have fractures on both sides of my nose, a fractured elbow, and trauma to my left eye! I'm going to be relying on ride share/public transit to get to and from my appointments in the next couple of weeks & will also need help being able to purchase food that I don't have to cook! I am unable to get another car or drive until I'm healed and everything gets settled. If you have a couple of bucks to throw my way for bus fare, food, or cbd (they gave me vicodin and it's just making me feel panicky and nauseous) I'd appreciate it! My paypal is [email protected]
