I haven't been on this lovely hellhole for a while now, but decided to check it today and apparently this post i made some time ago just BLEW UP
I've been reading people's responses and OMG, you guys make me so happy! Knowing that you guys are out there, enjoying your adulthood and just being yourselves made my day!
KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, GUYS!
You know what's sad? Having to tell my adult patients that they don't have to be boring fucks who hate everything to be considered adults.
Seriously, people have a very weird idea of what it means to be an adult. I have patients who come to me and tell me they are unhappy with their lives and they don't understand why, because they have a job, they have a good salary, they can pay their bills, they have a significant other, they're doing everything right and still they're unhappy.
And then we start talking and talking and, finally, we reach the real problem: they stopped being themselves.
I have so many patients who stopped doing things they liked - harmless things, fun things - because they felt it was innapropriate for an adult to do them.
Videogames? I'm too old for that.
Comic books? I'm too old for that.
Disney movies? That's for kids.
Super hero movies/series? I'm an adult, I should act like one.
Going to parks/carnivals? I don't have kids to do that with.
It's scary how these people simply gave up on these fun hobbies just because they reached a certain age. And it's even more scary that they don't see the problem with this.
Adult life is more than just work, paying bills and marriage. It's about going out with your friends, it's about buying silly things that have no purpose but to bring you a little joy, it's about having fun and living your life to the fullest.
You don't have to be a boring fuck to be an "acceptable adult". Fuck society and fuck whoever says you can't like something because you're "too old".
You're never too old to do the things you like, play the games you want to play and watch the movies/series you want to watch.
Dress up and go to Comic Con. Go to the midnight premiere of your favorite super hero movie. Read the "silly teen books" you want to read. Play that "childish" game you've been wanting to play.
Being an adult doesn't mean you need to forget who you are. Being older doesn't mean you need to let go of the things you love and enjoy.
Be unapologetically yourself and go live your best life!

“The world is very chaotic right now, we should take a nap to see if it gets better when we wake up”.
(A., 4 years old).
“I didn’t remember ‘cause my brain was thinking about the Avengers”.
(M., 5 years old, when asked if he remembered to do his ‘homework’).
“It’s when you don’t eat and you get angry with everyone because you want to eat but you don’t want to eat ”.
(S., 5 years old, when asked what is a diet - she wanted to start one).

My Wandavision theories
SPOILERS FOR EPISODE 3
Exhibit A:
1. Vision runs with the doctor on his back and neither the doctor nor the wife find it strange.
2. The conversation between Vision, Agnes and Herb.
3. The doctor saying “I don’t think we’ll get away after all. (...) Small towns, you know, so hard to... escape”.
Theory: the people who are in the “bubble” know they are trapped there, know there is someone out there (probably SWORD) trying to get them out, but do not dare to confront Wanda about it in fear of what she might do to them to keep her perfect reality alive. The fact that Wanda had babies makes them more hopeless because, now that she is a mother, it is even more unlikely that she will break this reality and release them.
Exhibit B:
1. Vision notices the many things that are wrong in their reality, but every time he tries to voice these concerns to Wanda, she dismisses him or rewinds, changing the “script”.
2. When Geraldine (who we all know is Monica) talks about Pietro and Ultron, Wanda is momentarily brought back from her invented reality and banishes Geraldine out of the “bubble” to protect said reality.
Theory: Wanda IS the one who created this reality and she is, at some level, conscious of that fact. She is doing her best to protect it from any and all that might harm it, which makes her dangerous.
What I think:
I believe Wanda was on a mission and something went wrong. Maybe she was going against Hydra; maybe, and this is a very far fetched theory, she was fighting against Agatha Harkness (who, in her reality, became Agnes); either way, something went wrong and destroyed the place where they are (as we can see from the trailers when her powers “stop working” and shows us the destroyed and old looking house) and Wanda created this reality where everything is normal, perfectly happy and no one died out of grief for yet another mission gone wrong.

Today I saw a post on twitter of a black girl who is being called out by several white people because she talks against racism, but is dating a white guy.
I commented: “Sometimes I wish I was green because it’s hard being white and having to see this white people embarassing the shit out of us lol”
This guy, a military man, a “Captain”, 45 to 50 years old, who voted for Bolsonaro, who calls himself a Christian, replied with: “if you don’t wanna be white, then kill yourself and solve the issue”.
Like... Bitch, then I’m just gonna be white AND dead, the fuck you think is gonna happen, I’m gonna turn fucking pink all of a sudden?
