i have two wolves inside of me
one wants world peace for all the nations and for people to live in harmony and to not kill eachother
the other one wants planet earth to be okay again and to reverse climate change
they are fighting eachother, bcs they dont know that they should join forces and fight capitalism, patriarchy and white privilege, and that would solve both of their issues
they are also 100+ years late, but thats beside the point

some of my favourite parts
i just read Claire Dederer’s article in the paris review ‘What Do We Do with the Art of Monstrous Men?’ and woow. just wow. its such an interesting topic to write, talk and read about. and it definitely inspired me to read more and to write about this topic
i especially liked the part where the author talks about being really mad at Woody Allen and being dissappointed with him, bcs she could relate to him before but felt conflicted after reading the things he did. i think thats a common feeling among people, especially with singer-songwriters.
i have so much to say about thiiis
also the second part where she talks about women art monsters and motherhood and arts coexisting in mass media and in her life.. god, that part spoke to me as someone in academia, and probs every women ever

omygoood why did no one tell me about One hundred year of solitude being made into a netflix show?!??
im so fucking normal about this, thats just my fav book of all time, my fav author, my fav genre, my fav characters, i cant wait to see that world and the atmosphere on screen
i think i might actually cry when watching this
i really hope they dont romanticize it and pick one story from it, but accurately show us the whole thing, which is probs too much to ask for, but a girl can dream

i think a lot of people miss the part where zutara is not enemies to lovers
its an enemies to friends to lovers, which is just such a better trope, and it highlights their friendship while not denying the fact that they definitely had some romantic feelings for eachother

luke castellan is such a complex character and also one of the reason why we cant have multi-layered characters, bcs people are just going to hate on them.
i havent read the pjo books in sooo long, i only reread hoo to prepare for the new series xd, and completely forgot how much i like lukes character. because he is right, he has a really good motive to be the “villain”. you understand his actions really well. i loove how he is written. and percy jackson is such a great protagonist to his antagonist. they are soo similar, percy does think that luke is right, he understands him so much, and i think thats neat.
i really hope, that lukes not gonna get ruined in the series, and they give him the complexity that he deserves going forward as well.
and dont even get me started on charlie bushnell.. i do believe there is no better actor for luke. what he does with the character is phenomenal, he really gives the roll justice. the way he acts with his face, especially in the last episode is on another level. his whole performance reminded me how much i love a great antagonist story, percy really is stubborn, i wouldve joined him in a hearhbeat.
