I just realized, and I have no idea if anyone has pointed this out for Skali and Revali's relationship. So, I guess imagine that Rito's Preen to a degree (Preen: (of a bird) straighten and clean its feathers with its beak) and that Ritos may preen their offsprings. Since Yeurni is la Hylian and not a bird person, they can't really preen. Revali could, but does he? Like Does he try and preen Skali's patches of feathers? That is to say Rito's may do this in the first place, which is debatable.
I would imagine so that Rito’s cleaning routine would involve preening. Although the only thing I see weird about that is they have functional hand/wings, so would they really need to use their beaks? But to play into this headcanon, because it’s cute as heck, let’s say baby Ritos get preened by their parents as a bonding experience.
Skali barely has any feathers and even as a baby she has practically none. I see Revali attempting to preen her, but eventually would settle for using his hands/wings (WHAT DO I CALL REVALI’S APPENDAGES THAT ANTHROPOMORPHIC SON OF A BITCH >:V ) as they’re softer to her than his beak.
Skali would think she might need to recuperate it, but she doesn’t know what she’s doing and basically drooling on Revali.Have a rare bonus doodle because this was an adorable ask :V

I just checked flock together from Ao3 (because a friend is playing botw in my switch and i remembered why i hate/love revali... And noticed.... There was no way to ignore this feeling, it felt like you were soaring, but being pulled under water at the same time. Harebrained, finger tips always tingling, throat dryer then the Gerudo Desert, and with knees so wobbly you were afraid one step would do you in, it sometimes it felt like you had too much air, but also never enough. There were days you found yourself in a haze, eyes glazed over. Other times, your heart pounded so deep it you couldn’t tell if you were ascending, or about to die of a heart attack.

You had been traveling between villages for a few weeks selling merchandise and the likes, but today was going to be a relax day. You had been taking your time to walk the farmer’s market admiring all the different jewelry and large vegetables, and stop occasionally to look over precious stones.
You weren’t sure why you chose to come today, but you paid no mind and tried to enjoy nonetheless. However…there was a strange inkling that wouldn’t leave you alone and you occupied yourself in merchandise that wasn’t even interesting to you, but for some reason you felt you needed to stay.

Leuga meeting you
Leuga was outside the Zora’s Domain hunting until he could sense trouble above the waters. When he peeked above the surface he sensed moblins and Bokoblins chasing after someone. He could hear someone not of their kind cursing and screaming profanities
Next thing he knew a figure was thrown into the air and soared right into the river he was in. He was shocked and could sense they were not swimming back up and dove after them
When he was approaching he could feel the water thicken and taste of blood. His large forearms spurred him on and grabbed a hold of the person
In the water he was able to make out your features much clearer, but still hazy. He felt around your body for wounds and came across a cut on your hip
His claws brushed over it just lightly, but it was enough to wake you and start thrashing around. You in your heat of panic smacked him in the face to which he let you loose
You couldn’t breathe and began to swim, but you swam in the wrong direction and then you felt a large arm wrap around your waist dragging you upwards
Leuga lifted you with ease out of the water and onto the bank
“Do you need medical attention? How serious is your wound, young one?” His deep voice rumbled in your rib-cage
You took a minute taking in his strange appearance and checked the wound. “It’s-uh- it’s fine. It’s not that deep, just bleeding a lot, I guess.”
“I see.” His lack of eyes and his unusual appearance made you feel uneasy
“Thank you…for saving me that is…?” You paused to inquire his name
“Forgive me for being so informal. I am Prince Leuga of the Zoras.”
You held out your hand and refrained from jumping when his larger one enveloped yours. “W-well, Prince Leuga, I am [Name].”
He did not move for a second before giving a slow, lopsided smile and for some reason your heart thumped.

I made some rito OCs !
Bearded vulture Darah lives alone in the mountains, she prefers it there cause everyone was afraid of her at the village.
Koura is a trans phaesant girl, she just wants to make everyone happy but faces discrimination so she prefers to spend time alone in the wild.
So yeah, they’re gay and live alone in the mountains.
