I’m still getting new followers every day so heads up, this is a dead blog
so, it’s come to my attention that dthemod’s minions (or just dthemod idk she has so flipping many) are using side accounts as like… idk… sleeper followers to watch me and stfumra’s accounts.
that’s really fucking creepy? K and I don’t ever talk anymore except when these people start trying shit so I’m just gonna remake, this has crossed a line. I linked my personal to this one and it has my goddamn photos on it
D clearly has some underlying personal drama invested in this that I’m just not aware of or something bc how on earth else does everyone’s least favorite fuckingrapeculture mod (bc of her tendency to step way tf out of line w/re to sex workers and rape victims and make people pull teeth to get an apology - her uncomfortable behavior was why I unfollowed that blog during my white feminist phase two years ago and she hasn’t changed one bit)
take one argument and 5 individual accidental interactions (mix of blog visits by other mods and reblogging posts from someone that reblogged from one of D’s various side blogs) over a period of 4 months and turn it into such a massive campaign against so many different people, using immoral crap like literal stalking, faking hateful anons to geekandmisandry in K’s name, taking radfem’s posts and claiming we made them, unbelievable hypocrisy, etc.
there’s something else I wanna say too
I can’t ping you anymore so idk internet maybe but rikodeine/lesbianinternetmom/lesbiai, once again I am really sorry for what I said in that ask, I have no idea what the hell I was thinking & it was singlehandedly the most thoughtless thing I’ve ever done in my life. I’m really sorry and I have been mortified ever since

Context, dumbass.
The second I see a post refer to women as “females” I stop reading.
I don’t care what the post is about, you are shit and your language is dehumanizing.

Read this. en. wikipedia. org/wiki/Autism. You don't have autism. And as a white male, you're a rapist, so go die. #Fightthepatriarchy
This is the weakest attempt at bait I’ve ever seen. Also, I know who you are.

Signs you may be fetishizing/objectifying a group of people
Many/most/all of your interactions with this group are sexualized or in a sexualized context
Most of the representation of them that you participate in/consume is in a sexualized context, such as pornography or erotic art
You engage with them sexually without knowing much about their political context, real-life experiences, or struggles
If you are politically active in solidarity with this group, most/all of your activism revolves around the ways they have sex or are sexually active
Your sexual fantasies about this group of people just so happen to match stereotypical notions of how this group has sex
You feel disappointed or disgusted when any member of this group (regardless of whether or not they’re involved with you) has sex in ways you wouldn’t want them to have sex with you
You use language to refer to/talk about this group of people that does not match their preferred language or is only commonly used in pornographic contexts
You’re willing to sleep with/date almost any member of this group regardless of their other qualities
You reduce this group of people to their genitals, or focus on this group of people’s genitals as a major reason why you fantasize about, have sex with, or are interested in them
Knowing a person is a member of this group makes you interested in them when you wouldn’t be otherwise
If the trait that makes a person a status of this group were removed/changed, you would lose interest
Please note that some of these apply much more to people who are NOT a member of the group they’re interested in. For example, Black people who only want to date other Black people are not (usually) fetishizing each other, they are more often seeking safety and common experience. It is not objectifying or fetishizing to only want partners with whom you feel understood and safe.
Conversely, most of the items on this list do apply to how men interact with women. Despite being understood as “normal,” most of the ways men interact with women are fetishizing and objectifying.

New York City takes a big step to protect transgender rights
The city’s Commission on Human Rights recently amended an existing law that defended the rights of transgender New Yorkers. While the amendment originally aimed to protect anybody’s gender identity or expression, the update specifically protects them in several important areas.

Fantastic New Fairy Tale Stars a Transgender Princess
“Classic fairy tales like Cinderella and Snow White tell the stories of young women who overcome obstacles to live a happy life. (We take issue with the happily ever after having to involve a guy, but they weren’t written in 2015, so.) Still, for young transgender girls, it can be discouraging to see a life you want, but fear you can’t have.
A revolutionary new children’s book called The Royal Heart aims to totally change that. This fairytale is the first in a series of children’s books about LGBTQ characters, staring a little transgender princess named Lyric, who is struggling to be the prince her parents expect her to be. “

my night manager (who is a gay man) and i sometimes sit down and exchange stories and tidbits about our sexuality and our experiences in the queer cultural enclave. and tonight he and i were talking about the AIDS epidemic. he’s about 50 years old. talking to him about it really hit me hard. like, at one point i commented, “yeah, i’ve heard that every gay person who lived through the epidemic knew at least 2 or 3 people who died,” and he was like “2 or 3? if you went to any bar in manhattan from 1980 to 1990, you knew at least two or three dozen. and if you worked at gay men’s health crisis, you knew hundreds.” and he just listed off so many of his friends who died from it, people who he knew personally and for years. and he even said he has no idea how he made it out alive.
it was really interesting because he said before the aids epidemic, being gay was almost cool. like, it was really becoming accepted. but aids forced everyone back in the closet. it destroyed friendships, relationships, so many cultural centers closed down over it. it basically obliterated all of the progress that queer people had made in the past 50 years.
and like, it’s weird to me, and what i brought to the conversation (i really couldn’t say much though, i was speechless mostly) was like, it’s so weird to me that there’s no continuity in our history? like, aids literally destroyed an entire generation of queer people and our culture. and when you think about it, we are really the first generation of queer people after the aids epidemic. but like, when does anyone our age (16-28 i guess?) ever really talk about aids in terms of the history of queer people? like it’s almost totally forgotten. but it was so huge. imagine that. like, dozens of your friends just dropping dead around you, and you had no idea why, no idea how, and no idea if you would be the next person to die. and it wasn’t a quick death. you would waste away for months and become emaciated and then, eventually, die. and i know it’s kinda sophomoric to suggest this, but like, imagine that happening today with blogs and the internet? like people would just disappear off your tumblr, facebook, instagram, etc. and eventually you’d find out from someone “oh yeah, they and four of their friends died from aids.”
so idk. it was really moving to hear it from someone who experienced it firsthand. and that’s the outrageous thing - every queer person you meet over the age of, what, 40? has a story to tell about aids. every time you see a queer person over the age of 40, you know they had friends who died of aids. so idk, i feel like we as the first generation of queer people coming out of the epidemic really have a responsibility to do justice to the history of aids, and we haven’t been doing a very good job of it.

The thing about theory of mind is that no one is good at it.
Neurotypical adults regularly fail questions like “if person A gives person B a restaurant recommendation, the restaurant turns out to be terrible, and person B texts “Thanks,” does person A know this is sarcastic?”*
The thing that allows neurotypical adults to come off as good at theory of mind is that the people they talk to every day are more like themselves; if you’re talking to someone a lot like you, then it doesn’t matter if you aren’t good at reasoning out what they’re thinking because acting like they’re just like you is more likely to work.
This breaks down when they talk to people who aren’t like them. Not considering that someone who keeps interrupting you may be doing it because it’s their cultural norm, because you’d only do it to be rude? Theory of mind failure. Your math professor not trying to teach in different ways because they got it instinctively, so can’t everyone? Theory of mind failure. Someone repeatedly recommending new treatments and exercises to you to cure your chronic illness, not realizing you’ve probably thought of that already? Theory of mind failure.
Autistic people often have very different perspectives from neurotypical people, because of all of the sensory and communication and thought differences. This kind of difference makes theory of mind harder for everyone. So yes, an autistic person failing to work out what body language they don’t use is supposed to express is a failure of theory of mind. So is a neurotypical person deciding that an autistic person’s flapping is attention-seeking – they’re just taking their own reaction and assuming it’s what was sought, rather than, you know, reasoning out what the autistic person is thinking.
Autistic people can have specific disability-related issues with theory of mind. But pretty much everyone has trouble with it regularly – and the reason autistic people come off as worse at it is that autistic people usually spend all their time interacting with people very different from themselves.
*The answer is no.

it’s really disingenuous saying I don’t think trans men face transphobia because I don’t think misandry is real. that’s actually super fucking petty
trans men face transphobia every bit as much as everyone else - even from other trans people, just like trans women and NB people - we just don’t also face transmisogyny on top of it all.
@ trans men
What special unique discrimination directed specifically only just at trans men warrants an entirely separate term (~transmisandry~) to describe it? Pls respond
