God the late nights were always the best, they were full of sneaking out and playing games, acting like we were teens again, rushed kisses and empty bottles of scotch and vodka.

“I don’t know how you drink that stuff” Steve looked over at my small frame and shook his head. I giggled a little because of the look on his face. “Because grandpa,” I started, “when I was like, 14 my parents always had tequila, vodka, whiskey the whole shebang” he chuckled at the last part “ and when everyone was a sleep I would go down stairs and take at least 6 shots, after a while I just stopped caring about the taste.” I finished and shrugged my shoulders. “You ma’am, are a bad influence” Steve stands, dusts of his hands and pulls me up like I weigh nothing. “Where are we going cowboy” I slurred my words just the tiniest bit. “We’re leaving” was all he said and that was enough to catch my attention.

That night was one of my dearest memories. Me and him always had the best times together. When i was taken by hydra , I obviously hadn’t really talked to anyone and when I did it was replying to orders ‘yes sir’ ‘yes ma’am’. But when the anvengers found me everything changed. It took a little time for me to start trusting and talking to them, but after awhile I couldn’t shut up. Most of the time when I was at the tower they called me big mouth.

I was sweating like a pig. I dodged a kick and then a punch and tried my best not to be pinned to the mat. Steve looked so determined to win it was rediculous. To be fair I had been a shit head the whole morning so, when the time came to train I wasn’t surprised when he paired him and I together. I talked big game the whole time we were warming up, I had pinned him before, once. He could see I was to caught up in my thoughts and quickly swept his left foot underneath my legs making me land on my back with force. Before I even got a chance to spring back up he pounced on me and straddled me so I couldn’t get up. “You’re no fair” I whined and I could hear the rest of the team snickering behind me. “What happened y/n, I thought you could ‘beat his ass’” Sam said using my own words against me, “shut the fuck up Sam” I groaned and tried to get up but Steve was too heavy. “Steve get your fat ass off of me” I tried to push him again, but he leaned down and whispered him my ear “if you don’t stop being such a brat I’m gonna fuck you right here in front of everyone” that shut me up quick and he crawled off of me. “Ok well I’m gonna go take a shower” I spoke fast and red faced. Steve followed “yeah me too”.

Let’s just say he meant what he said.

Steve Rodgers was a good man. That’s exactly why I can’t find it in myself to be mad at him. He gave me memories to hold onto and charish and for that I’m grateful. The truth is I knew he would go back. He told me before he left, he told me he loved me and that he hoped I understood, which I did. At first it was hard. I still can’t sleep on his side of the bed, but he taught me the importance of living in the moment and understanding that nothing lasts forever.

I lay in my bed and stare up at the ceiling, only having one thought drifting across my mind before I fell into a deep sleep, he was good to me.

I just really really want Emily to know that none of the hate she recieved was her fault. She deserved none of it. None of it came from legitimate criticism, it was all immature dumbasses who were personally offended by Sharon Carter’s existence. 

She went through years of people bullying her after tws and cw (especially cw). People calling her a bad actress, people comparing her to Peggy and Natasha and saying she wasn’t pretty enough to be with Cap. 

Some of her fellow actors even going as far as talking bad about her character (encouraging the hate) at cons and on twitter, and straight up say that Sharon carter didn’t deserve a larger role in the mcu.

In interviews, the only way a real question would be asked to her is if Rdj or Don redirected questions to her in group interviews. All the interviewers wanted to ask Emily about was stevesharon and how controversial it was which…really did not help. 

certain shippers who (and i’m not joking) thought if Emily would kill herself then Sharon would be written off and their ship would be canon…(look at that, sharon got written off and it still wasn’t canon…it’s almost like it was never on the table)

The Body shaming, being called ugly, unworthy. 

And the worst part? Just like with Brie Larson, when the hate parade was coming for her, not one of her cast members spoke up to defend her, or to say the harassment was too much, and needed to stop. 

And Emily never said a single word of negativity in response. Even after being dropped. Never once did she offer anything but positivity and support.

And it just is NOT her fault that this all happened!!! She played a character that she loved! She read the comics (which is already more than most of these mcu actors or writers do) and really loved Sharon. You can just see it in the way she spoke about her in interviews. It just breaks me that she might think all of this happened because she “disappointed” people.  

If you all start bullying her again when fatws comes out it’s gonna be on SIGHT..
