Marvel can tell incredible stories but the one thing they CANT get right is a love story so WHY DO THEY KEEP TRYING?! They drug Loki’s character through the mud all for the sake of a mediocre romance subplot that was entirely unnecessary and widely hated by fans.
Honestly, I think I’d just rather NOT have had a Loki show.

Are you the main character?
It’s a question that many people have been asking themselves lately. Am I special? Does the world revolve around me? If you’re like me, then you’re thinking the answer is no. Maybe a few tiktok “put a finger down: main character edition” videos have you feeling like you’re not. Or you’ve realized your best friend is really the one with the spotlight. Some people just don’t fit the description of what we call being the main character.
Well first, we can argue that we’re each the main character in our own story. And that’s perfectly true. Every person is living, growing, and experiencing life in a way that no one else is. Everyone has their own story to tell, starring themselves.
But an equally valid way of thinking of it, is this:
Maybe you just aren’t the main character.
And really, that’s fine. Because there’s so many equally important characters in a story, who can bring even more to the table than the main character. AND, main character does NOT equal favorite character. In fact, of all the shows, movies, and books you fan over, in how many of those stories is the main character your favorite? I’m guessing not many. In many cases, the front-and-center character is not the one everyone is in love with. Elena Gilbert from TVD is hardly an audience favorite compared to the others. How many people watching Avatar say Aang is their favorite? Even Harry Potter is overlooked in favor of his friends.
The point is, the fan-favorite character is usually NOT the main character, for whatever reason. So who is?
Most of our favorites are actually secondary characters, who are not in the titular role but offer even more to the story by way of intelligence, humor, wit, friendship, interesting story-lines, relatability, etc...
Ok, still not sure? Let’s look at some non main characters who have become highly integral parts to the story, maybe even moreso than the main characters themselves simply by possessing the traits I’ve mentioned:

so much more but I’m really tired so that’s all I will type out right now. But do you think any less of these characters because they’re not the “main character?” Does it make them any less significant? Don’t think so.
Just because you don’t relate to the Harry Potters or the Bella Swans, doesn’t mean your story is any less important.
The important part is that you’re the character you would want to see yourself as. Be that person.
And if anyone with main character syndrome picks on you, kindly remind them that Ebony Darkness Dementia Raven Way was also a main character :)

So literally no one asked, but I binge watched Dash & Lily twice in the last 24 hours, so here are my favorite parts of this adorable show that desperately needs a second season and got me in the Christmas spirit WELL before Thanksgiving.
- Everything to do with both Dash and Lily. They’re just too precious and somehow I relate to both at once.
- How multiple times Dash was referred to as “finicky,” and Lily “sadistic.”
- The Christmas themes throughout the show and present in every scene, which really made this feel like a cozy, feel-good holiday show.
- When I started it I thought it was a movie so after the first 30 min episode when the credits started rolling I was wildly confused until the ‘next episode’ button popped up and I realized it was a show.
- Boomer made every scene better with his presence.
- Ms. Basil E was a big mood and who I aspire to be in my adulthood.
- On my second watch, when I blurted out my realization that Dash looks like a cross between Timothy Chalamet and the fox from Zootopia, then had to pause the show because my friend was SCREAMING.
- Lil Dashy’s worry after the whole Hanukkah thing. And the writing ON THE MIRROR it killed me.
- “Maybe he liked you-” “NO!” Thank you Lily, someone needed to say it!
- Why did Edgar look like he was 35? Over the span of 5 years he aged 24.
- Finding out that Langston broke off his perfectly good relationship because his bf was going to Puerto Rico to visit his grandma for two weeks and that would’ve been too much “distance.”
- Langston giving the journal to Benny even though they’ll be able to send it once, MAYBE twice before he’s already back.

My thoughts on each of the Grand Army characters
Because I binged the show in a day so here’s my garbage thoughts.
Dom: She’s literally the best character and the least problematic in the entire show. 10/10, I’d die for her. She also reminds me of my friend and I love that.
Sid: I know he hung out with the swimmy boys and contributed to some of their dumbfuckery but overall he was a good dude. He spent the whole season just trying to work out who he was inside and we respect him for that. The “Remind me not to get in a cab with you guys,” line made me scream on the inside it was so good.
Joey: My precious child who deserves so much better. Watching her progress from Free the Titties to only wearing sweats and not dancing anymore was heart crushing. But when she had her moments of finding herself again I was internally cheering so loud for her.
Leila: We all know someone like Leila who we’d like to punch in the face with a lamp. The only thing she had was the audacity. Every time I felt a shred of sympathy for her, she’d instantly kill it in one sentence. Also, I may have been watching too much Criminal Minds, but that journal does not look good, fam. The bomb threat was just the beginning and I have a feeling that in season 2 she’s gonna escalate.
George: In the very beginning it was clear that he had his flaws, but he was so cute and looked like a nice friend so I held onto hope that he’d turn out alright. He did not and now he can promptly go die. I’m still slightly attracted to him though and I hate it.
Luke: Never liked him. He can die.
Jayson: He was really doing his best to help his friend. It doesn’t work out for him very well, but he’s certainly trying. I hope his concert protest goes well.
John: He is perfection. Mwah. Him and Dom are the cutest couple there and I love them together. He was a little misguided with the $300, but boy only wanted to help his crush out.
Anna: ohhhhhhhh she messed UP. It was so gratifying but painful to watch her realize this towards the end. She should’ve at least talked to Joey, but her misplaced loyalty to her brother turned her into the WORST friend. I’m really curious to see what happens with her later.
Tim: ugggggggghhhhhhhhh another anemic white boy trash fire baby. Like I need another one. He’s made mistakes and arguably is a terrible person, but he’s finally coming around. It looks like he’s gotten himself a lil drug problem now though so that should be fun. I don’t like him but also I like him a lot and when he is being cute or making good choices he’s one of my favs.
If Netflix cancels this one, I WILL kill somebody.
