Taken about a decade ago in the same city, this photo kinda’ represents my first real dive into art. Of course, as a child I was always using found materials to construct imaginary worlds and mixed media pieces, but summer of 2009 changed everything. * When I was a tween I directed and acted in comedic videos. I was already performing in the theatre by the time I received my first camera and this possibility of directing stills of scenes that maybe embodied some emotion or story was truly mesmerizing to me. * Anyway, summer of 2009 was a hot one for me. I was going through many changes in my life that I will spare you the details of for now. Let’s just say I was ready to give up acting for good, but only because time wasn’t a thing I really had when I was 15. Which is ironic when I truly had all the time in the world ahead of me. That being said, it was probably was the busiest I’ve ever been... during my grade school years... and I loved it until it meant I had to give something up. * Fortunately the summer after freshmen year, i whisked myself off to train with gymnasts who had just competed in the Olympics. Suffice to say it was a short training run. I couldn’t really handle watching the 2008 sixth place champion weigh herself before an after a 90 second routine. I ended up spending the month exploring the new country I was in through my handy-dandy underwater point-and-shoot. I wanted to post this in a series but to be honest the story goes on… * * * #underwaterphotography #experimentalart #10yearchallenge #surrealselfportrait #unedited #nofilter #lomography #selfportrait #surrealselfie #somewheremag #feltzine #dreamermag #ifyouleave #surreal42 #artfeatures #artsubmissions #theoriginal #vaporwave #storytime #unfiltered #trippy #seapunk #beforeitwascool (& after, why not?) #latentimage #surrealism #undergroundart #taxcollection #rentalmag #portraitphotography (at Tel Aviv) https://www.instagram.com/p/B4-U3tBHwtY/?igshid=w3t2lmyvw9k7

celebrate life, living, and livelihood. celebrate the continual process of death, dying, and death. shed skin. grow new layers. care less about how you’ll justify or categorize things. just be for a second. let this moment happen.
“She liked to think. What did she like to think? She was having a dumb day and wanted to blame the fog. Maybe he falls, he slides, if that is a useful word, from his experience of an objective world, the deepest description of space-time, where he does not feel a sense of future direction—he slides into her experience, everyone’s, the standard sun-kissed chronology of events.” -DeLillo (The Body Artist) (at New York, New York)

Nothing is as it seems... Gravitational waves aren’t new, but check this discovery out if you haven’t ! The space as we know it exists in linear time as we feel it, but that’s not always the case.
