It was my best friend’s birthday on the 2nd and I decided what to make only shortly beforehand. Since I’ve started working recently, it took longer than anticipated, but I’ve finally finished the art project I planned as their birthday present. Which is especially neat since it was my first time drawing skeletons.
Happy belated birthday, @lover-of-skellies/@ask-the-riders! You’re a goofball and we’ve talked about practically everything under the sun since we first met. I never expected to develop such a close friendship with someone, but I did and it’s been an honor. You mean a lot to me, you nerd, so I wanted to draw characters that mean a lot to you.

Version 2.0 and Famine close-up (with dirt and bloodstains) UNDER THE CUT:
Details you might notice if you look:
- Death’s usual rope-strings have been replaced by silver ribbon. This is because as the “leader” of the Riders, I thought he deserved something a tad more flashy.
- Famine’s clothes are somewhat faded as he’s a version of HorrorTale Sans. This is also why there is a second version with bloodstains and dirt.
- Abrael’s outfit is based on historical pirate-wear. The shirt is shaded to look like aged linen. If it were new, it would be the color of cream.
- Connie’s scarf is blue to match Cobalt’s color scheme, since he was the one who gave the scarf to her. If it appears somewhat purple, that it because it was made to look faded and worn. To add to the effect, the scarf has a small scuff marks on it.
