I am on a streak of playing games I wanted to play for a while now, cuz I just finished my first playthrough of Hogwarts Legacy!
And I had a blast with it! And of course I'm gonna play it again as a different house eventually, but in the mean time, I wanted to show you the MC I created for the game, based on my house, wand type and the backstory I made for her.
Meet Mackenzie Crowley
Tumblr media
You may have guessed by the colour scheme I got going on here, but she's a Hufflepuff. She’s a Muggleborn, born and raised in an orphanage after the horrible murder of her parents: British prison guard Edward Crowley and Irish nurse Marie. Her only remaining possessions she has of her family are her father's signature flatcap and her mother's heirloom ring that she wears around her neck. She will only take off the hat to go to bed or if instructed to by professors. She is an only child and is quite protective of those she considers family.
Her wand is of yew wood with a Phoenix core. 12 1/2" in length and slightly springy in flexibility. She is a fierce protector of others and is not afraid to get rough when her friends are in danger.
Tumblr media
She's loyal to a fault, almost frustratingly so, as she often finds herself torn in her loyalties between friends unless given very good reason to.
She has a passion for Beasts and Transfiguration magic. She is always on the look out for a creature in need and is prepared to dive in when they are under threat by poachers. When confronted with large groups of enemies, like goblins and poachers, she usually resorts to transfiguration, transforming enemies into explosive barrels and hurling them at their comrades. She will otherwise use accio, confringo and the disillusionment charm. When confronted with larger enemies like trolls and bigger acromantulas, she uses descendo and flipendo respectively, as well as more damage oriented spells, has as diffindo, bombarda, and glacio, in order to slow them down.
Natty, Sebastian and Poppy are her best friends. Natty was the first to welcome her to Hogwarts and Mackenzie chose her to show her around Hogsmeade to gather her supplies. When the troll attacked and Rookwood threatened her, Natty immediately jumped to her defense and she was the first person Mackenzie told about her confrontation with Ranrok. Though she was skeptical of Sebastian at first, concerning his affiliation with the Crossed Wands Club, she quickly grew to like him, especially as he showed her the Undercroft to teach her "unsanctioned" spells. Though she declines to learn the Unforgivable Curses, she tries to help Sebastian with his search for a cure as much as possible while also trying to deter him from his path to the Dark Arts. Mackenzie was the first person Poppy trusted with Highwing, and was quickly proven right to trust her when she rescued the Hippogriff from the poachers. They since always work together to set creatures free and fight the poachers back.
Tumblr media
She loves all the creatures under her care, though the most special in her eyes are Caligo the Hippogriff, Sepulchria the Thestral and the Graphorn known as the Lord of the Shore (which she affectionately nicknames "Duke"). She rescued Caligo as well as Highwing with Natty from Harlow and his poachers and met Sepulchria when she ran away into the Forbidden Forest after a nervous breakdown. She earned Duke's respect when she bent the knee to him after fighting him in combat.
Tumblr media
Outside her circle or friends, Mackenzie also has great relations with Ominis, Imelda, Garreth and Amit. She and Ominis got off on the wrong foot when Sebastian showed her to the Undercroft, but he has since come to trust her, especially as she continuously tries to encourage Sebastian away from the Dark Arts. Mackenzie brews her competitive nature in large thanks to Imelda while they tested new broom upgrades through her trials. Imedla fully expects her to join the Hufflepuff Quittich team when it comes back next year. Garreth likes Mackenzie, especially as she helps him get potion ingredients, though she does encourage him to brew his potions safely. She finds Amit's awkwardness oddly endearing and this makes her quite protective of him when it comes to bullies.
Tumblr media
When she's outside Hogwarts and Hogsmeade, with the intention of crossing paths with poachers and goblins, she wears a disguise to keep her loved ones safe. The papers have come to calling her the "Avenging Wolf", on account to the wolf mask she wears to conceal her face. When Natty eventually finds out, she insists on joining her, taking on the mantle of the "Avenging Gazelle" (though the public mistakes her for a deer mask). Sebastian and Poppy quickly follow suit with masks of their own (raven and owl respectively).
Tumblr media
She looks to professor Fig as a father and trusts his judgement greatly. When asked by him what Mackenzie will do with the repository hidden under Hogwarts, she tells him that she will keep it contain, and that she intends to eventually share the secret with those she trusts. After the battle under Hogwarts and Fig's untimely death, she later finds out through Professor Weasley that he intended to adopt her by the end of the year.

So, I just finished the main story of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora - WARNING! SPOILERS AHEAD!
First off, I want to talk about the cons of the game before jumping into the pros, but to be honest with ya, the cons are few and far in between and were more about personal preference then the performance of the game itself.
For starters:
1. The Glitches - Like literally, during a few quests, there will be some dialogue, but it'll randomly cut out with the excuse that enemies are near by, when that is absolutely not the case. It was only so bad that I had to exit to the main menu and then get back on in order for it to fix, so this was minor in comparison to other glitches like falling through the map randomly (which happened to me once during my play through of Far Cry 4 :p)
2. The Language - This is just a little peeve of mine, but I wish that the Na'vi, at least when talking amongst themselves and to us, spoke in Na'vi. Like, if Ubisoft could record a whole 'nother language for Far Cry Primal, they could have done it here. And I also wish that the animals, especially the Palulukan, were referred to by it's Na'vi names rather then human names.
3. The Main Character's Name - This is minor really, but I don't like how we are not given a name. Like, I get that it's fun coming up with names for our original character, but it's a bit isolating to only be referred to as 'the Sarentu'.
Not only does it make it seem like our identity as a member of a respected clan matters more then our identity as our own complex individual, but it feels weird when you read notes and listen to audio logs about the other Sarentu kids and not one thing about us, especially when Alma talks about how they're acclimation to life in the Resistance. Like how we're developing doesn't matter at all in comparison to how Ri'nela is coming into the role of leader and Tsahìk.
Not even a mention of our relation to Aha'ri when she writes about her murder and how it could be affecting us.
Like, just a gender-neutral name to tie things in, like Dani in Far Cry 6, would go a long way to make our character feel like a part of the story and not just a nameless side character doing all the hard work, like the Rookie from Far Cry 5.
4. The Villain - This is more of a 'meh' thing for me. Like yeah, Mercer was an asshole, but again, pulling from Far Cry here, who had amazing, complex villains like Vaas Montenegro or Pagan Min, and what we get is... a entitled, racist narcissist whose barely there, and therefore we get zero from this guy. He was more annoying then anything, like literally every time he talk, my eyes rolled into the back of my skull.
Like, could you imagine if AFOP made Mercer like Pagan Min, the tyrant king of Kyrat who had a relationship with Ajay Ghale's mother to the point where he was sympathetic to the loss of his mother. Pagan Min would just randomly call Ajay on his radio like an eccentric father-figure, and in two endings of the game, he'll actually help you out, taking you to Lakshamana so that you can place your mother's ashes beside her, just like she wanted, which is very generous considering that in one of those endings, it's after you lead a massive rebellion right to his door-step, taking out his generals and so-on! (Pagan is my favourite Far Cry villain is you haven't figured that, Vaas is a close second)
If you gave Mercer that kind of depth, then maybe you can actually understand why Teylan would believe Mercer wouldn't hurt anybody when he gave the location of the Resistance Base away.
Harding as well was mediocre. Just a hard-as-nails general that's running a pouching operation on the side. Like, if you made her even a fraction of insane like you did Vaas, I could actually be into it.
So anyway, on to the pros!
1. The Gameplay - I know people moaned about the mechanics being too similar to Far Cry, but honestly, that was what drew me to it when I first saw the trailer for it! Far Cry is my favourite first-person shooter franchise (Far Cry 4 and Far Cry Primal being my favourites). The crafting of weapons, the hunting for food, skins and ingredients and the little things what made it unique was amazing to me,
The hunting was a pain, because half the time (for me anyway) I could almost never get a clean kill for the smaller or quick-moving animals, but I think it was done super well. When you hit an animal in the old Far Cry games, they either just drop dead or run away and bleed out quietly. But here, when it's an unclean kill, the animal squirms and writhes in pain before succumbing to it's wounds, really driving in the whole point of the Na'vi way of life (that's how I saw it anyway).
And the Memory Paintings, though tedious at most times, was another fun and unique mechanic to the game and felt very Na'vi to me and I enjoyed concentrating on them all and hearing the MC's interpretations of the Memory Paintings and the Sarentu Totems.
And the moments when you're flying on your Ikran or Pa'li made me feel like I was in an RPG, like Horizon, so that was a nice little touch. It was like they mashed two of my favorite games into one.
And in the end, it's not the gameplay that makes me play the game. It's the story.
2. The Harmful Effects of the RDA - There was not a minute within this story where it's quests and stories didn't resonate with me.
How the Kinglor of the Aranahe forest was displaced by the RDA's actions, giving us a Yellowstone situation where a key member of the ecosystem was being pushed out and it was causing all sorts of problems for the local flora and fauna.
The aforementioned poaching in Zeswa territory, where the Zakru were being hunted and killed for their tusks and how even their long deceased skeletons were being pilfered, very similar to elephant and rhino poaching, especially as Zakru are sacred animals to the Zeswa.
And then the Yavä, the green fog that brought sickness to the Kame'tire, something that happened, by the way, because the RDA disposed of the Sarentu's bodies by using caustic chemicals!!! (like, what the FUCK, Alma!) but anyway, is very reminiscent to the diseases that European settlers brought in to the native populace, who never had to build up immune systems for it and suffered because of it.
What I'm getting at here, is how big of a problem the RDA is, not just for going to war with Jake and the Omaticaya, but also by causing the exact same problems that people did on Earth and are still doing to Earth. In so many, seemingly innocuous way, the RDA are negatively effecting the ecosystem, the wildlife and the locals in their pursuit of a paycheck that, realistically, would never be able to use until they get off planet, and that is if they don't die on an alien moon because of all those problems.
3. The Efforts of the Resistance
Every time I got to talk with the Resistance members was a highlight for me. I truly do not understand how some people don't like Priya. I found her adorable, and she gave me Penelope Garcia vibes from Criminal Minds. And her budding romance with Resistance Pilot Anqa, whose history with incursion on her desert homeland inspired her to take action against the RDA.
Or Hajir's regrets for playing part in the Severeds origins, concluding how they are in a constant state of anger and sadness.
Or Billy, who break-dances as he's helping you escape imprisonment, before sacrificing himself to save what's left of the Resistance.
And then there's the Na'vi Clans that I just loved and each and every one of it's characters had me giddy. The playful old grandmother in Nefika and her immediate action to take us in and show us around the Hometree, the Zeswa sisters and their rightous anger over the poaching, the eccentricities of Okul and their faith in the Kame'tire's tradtions.
Honestly I could go on and on about every single character in this game. Nalin and her tentative offer to fill in the void of mother during the party, the Burden Carrier and the Milk Crafter who got drunk off their ass, saying the zakru can fly while we're trying to warn them of impending danger and Mosaka, who not only gave our clan's location away to the RDA, but used their deaths to manipulate his way into power and control over the clan by framing Anufi for their demise. (BTW, fuck you Mosaka)
That's all I got for now, but once the DLCs come in, I am defiantly playing through the whole game again and I may come back to this post with an update when that happens, along with my stance on said DLCs.
So, hope your all having a good day and buh-bye!

Quaritch, Spider... and Teylan???
Okay, so, I've finished the game, but I'm still putting together my pros and cons post, so in the mean time, I give you this little thought experiment.
And be forewarned, it may contain spoilers if you haven't played the game yet.
WHAT IF: after Teylan gives away HQ's location and runs off after the Bombardment, he's just at the lowest of lows, sobbing and berating himself over what he's done.
Then, all of the sudden, a strange human teenager dressed like a Na'vi and a whole squad of Avatars show up and find this crying Na'vi teenager in the middle of the forest. Once Spider gets the kid to calm down, Teylan just pours everything out, because hey, someone's willing to listen.
And he just tells them about how he didn't want to hurt anyone, that Mercer promised no-one would get hurt, and so on and so forth.
So, Quaritch decides that a Na'vi kid as tech savvy as him might have a better use in tracking down Jake Sully then feeling sorry for himself in the forest (also watching the poor kid cry while his human son comforts him is getting hard to watch).
Also, Quaritch knows Mercer's a piece of shit. Like, sure, Quaritch isn't winning any popularity contests either, but Mercer just gives Quaritch all sorts of the wrong vibes. So you know what, fuck him. He's not putting a vulnerable teenager back in his care when he already fucked up the first time.
The weird Na'vi kid's his charge now.
And the entire time they're travelling together, Teylan and Spider are now best friends, finding kinship in their shared history of alienation by their peers. And hey, Quaritch is beginning to like the kid.
But of course, things cannot stay perfect forever. Their tipped off about Norm's chopper going towards the reef islands, they start harassing people and Teylan is getting all sorts of horrible flashbacks as Spider pleads for the Na'vi villager's lives.
Then the big confrontation happens, and Spider and Teylan work together to crash the ship while Payakan attacks the whalers. Teylan's size and strength hold them off long enough for Neteyam and Lo'ak to find them and escape (in this version, Neteyam isn't fatally shot)
Then the whole things over, and Teylan practically sticks to Spider like glue as they slowly acclimate to the Metkayina lifestyle. Teylan eventually works up the courage to contact the Sarentu again, who tells them that Mercer is gone and that is was safe to come back home. (they initially win in the first assault against Mercer since Teylan's not there to intervene) Teylan is... not sure what to think. Time with Quaritch and the Recons have given him clarity on his fixation with Mercer's approval and with Mercer's lies. So, on one hand, he's glad he's gone so that he can never hurt or lie to him anymore. But who is he now without Mercer's direction? He's not sure.
In the end, Teylan decides to stay where he is, though he tells the Sarentu he's okay, he needs time to collect his thoughts and figure out who he is now. The Sarentu, though reluctant to leave him alone, says they understand and to contact them when he's ready. Teylan assures them that he's not alone.
I realise that this became less of a thought experiment and more of a full on prompt, but I still think it'd be a unique AU.
Anyway, let me know what you think, and I promise, my pros and cons post is coming soon.

SPOILERS FOR AVATAR: FRONTIERS OF PANDORA - TAP CON-1 AND THE SARENTU MOOT MASSACRE
I wanted to post my full thoughts about the game after i finished my first playthrough, but I can not just keep what I just learned in my head, so be forwarned; Spoilers ahead.
Let me just say that the entire TAP CON-1 quest made me feel... disgusting.
That word perfectly encapsulates how I felt the second I heard how they made the children shower in disinfectant, as if they were diseased. I felt gross, and messy and just absolutely disgusted.
And then the massacre happened and I was just... I don't know how to describe it. Like, I knew Alma was involved, but the way that it all just poured out. That she was there during the whole slaughter, how she admits to playing ignorant, how she let the children believe the lie that their families abandoned them and it just made me think of everything else she's done since knowing her.
She did nothing as the RDA barged into the moot and slaughtered the entire clan.
She did nothing as the children were literally shoved into cages like animals, shackled like prisoners and then washed and striped of everything that made them Sarentu.
She proceeds to teach them what she sought out to teach, knowing damn well the consequences of wanting her school program to work.
She did nothing as Mercer and Harding trained/abused the children.
She did nothing when Mercer killed Aha'ri (which should have been the breaking point at this rate)
She left the children in cyrosleep for 16 years, not once thinking to check if they were actually alive.
She proceeds to keep her secret, and even expresses confirmation in an audio log that "they made the right choice" when bringing up how the Sarentu children are adjusting to the resistance. Basically implying that she's glad her teachings worked.
She tells Ri'nela that the Kame'tire can't be trusted, alienating the clan that she indirectly ruined with her ambitions.
And when she's finally figured out and Alma's Avatar is killed, she laments about never experiencing Pandora freely anymore, as if she expects Ri'nela and MC to lament with her.
After the whole funeral, I began rummaging it around in my head, and in the end, I concluded that the death of Alma's avatar and her actions are in direct parallel to Jake's.
Jake wanted to be part of the Na'vi because he got to actually connect with it's culture and worked to become a part of it. And when he screwed up, he worked to earn the Omaticaya's forgiveness, eventually becoming a true Na'vi.
Alma pretty much already saw herself as part of the Na'vi, despite barely doing anything. When Nor happily shows them the Sarentu knife and then laments how it was kept as a trophy and Alma said it was back with "us", like she was implying herself as part of the Sarentu. And she did very little if nothing at all to amend her mistakes, instead opting to play the victim here.
I also thought about Grace here, and her own sins with her own school. But the difference there is that she actually worked to make a friendship with the Omaticaya before taking in students. And her school was out in the forest, made from wood and full of life and learning. Alma's school was indoors inside metal walls, cut off from the outside world and they were taught one-sided knowledge that boosted the RDA's image and tarnished the Na'vi's.
And then Grace's School failed, she to seemed to loose herself to her avatar, preferring her avatar body to her human,, but she never once tried to cover up her mistakes. And she tried to make things work.
Alma did nothing but cover up the truth until it couldn't be hidden anymore.
In the end, the fact that just one quest could make me feel like this and have me think about all this really shows that the story works.
So it's gameplay is a little too simular to Far Cry. Who cares? So long as the story has me feeling complex emotions like this, I will play it.
Even if the glitches get a little annoying, I still enjoy every bit of this game.
And I will post my full thoughts on the game once I've finished it.
Anyway, thanks for putting up with my train wreck of thoughts!

I Gave Ursa a Girlfriend
Has it been a while since I've talked about God of War?
Yes.
Have I only just recently played the Valhalla DLC so now I'm sucked back in to the point where I'm constantly searching for God of War: Egypt?
Sure!
Did I spontaneously give Ursa, my Atreus/Angrboða fan-child, a girlfriend?
Hell yeah, I did!
Meet Móðguðr! (pronounced Moth-guth-fur) - took me a while to learn how it's pronounced.
Tumblr media
She is named and based on a female character, possibly a Giant, of the same name, which means "Furious Battler" and her sole duty is to guard the bridge in Helheim, allowing only the deceased to pass through.
And, you know, since Kratos killed the last bridge guard, that means there's an opening!
She doesn't give a damn about other people's opinions of her, and is more then ready to square up if you cross her. The only person she softens up around though, is Ursa.
Moth's first meeting with Ursa pretty much went like this.
Tumblr media
Moth strives to be a mighty warrior and will do whatever it takes to keep Ursa safe, even sit at the entrance of a bridge for hours at a time.
Maybe she meets Ursa during her quest to restore Brok's soul, maybe she meets her after the fact, or maybe they have a whole new quest on their own.
Either way, I think it's cute and I already love them and will die for them!

SPOILERS FOR PERCY JACKSON TV SHOW!!
-
Honestly, this is the best adaptation of Hades that I've seen in a long time.
Admittedly, I can only recall three examples of Hades that were adapted in media.
The first being Disney's Hercules' Hades, where he's a generic, power hungry bad guy who wants the throne for himself.
The second being the movie's version of Punk!Hades, where his own wife calls him cruel and abusive, when OG Hades was probably the most loyal and caring in matrimony (if you follow the story of Persephone staying with Hades by eating the pomegranate seeds with no prompting).
And then there's book Hades, which in my opinion, is just sorta there. Like, brownie points for protecting his kids, but minus a few when he wants his own kid to be the star of the show at the expense of the world. ( readers of the series, you know what instance I'm talking about)
But TV show Hades is probably the best and most accurate I could find, unless someone else points me elsewhere. He's just a chill dude, who has a little sitting room behind his scary looking throne, doesn't give a damn about usurping the throne, is only interested in getting his helm back and is only interested in the bolt because of the threat of Kronos and even offers his nephew, sister-in-law and this random satyr sanctuary for the bolt. And he doesn't even try to stop them when they leave via pearls. Sure he protests, but he doesn't actively move to seize them before they escape.
Like honestly, this is the kinda dude I'd imagine would name their giant, three-headed dog 'Spot' in Greek.

Dark Parables, the Hidden Object Games: Rant about the Stained Portrait
So, random fact about me; I like Hidden Object games, and my absolute favourite as a kid was the franchise Dark Parable, where you play as a detective going to different location, and meeting classic fairy tale characters with unique twists thrown into the universe.
Like, for example: Little Red Riding Hood? A badass sisterhood of monster hunters! Snow White? Became the Snow Queen after her son fell into an enchanted coma! Frog Prince? Trapped in a cycle of immortality and death while everyone he touches turns into frogs!
They were a fun series of games for me, and I recently got into playing them again, especially when I heard they weren't being made in recent years.
So I bought and played them all the way to the last one: the Portrait of the Stained Princess.
And I have to say, for the last game of the franchise to this day... what a let down.
SPOILERS if anyone wants to play the games for themselves, you have been warned.
Not gonna lie, it started off strong, but then, halfway through the middle it starts getting fuzzy, then the ending comes around and it's like they lost the script last minute and just threw something together.
To clarify; the princess makes friends with a prince of a dark kingdom whose cursed to not walk in sunlight, or something. They make a promise to find the Water of Life together. When they are forced to separate, the prince gives the princess his guardian animal (which has his heart, btw) a little duckling "The Ugly Duckling" and leaves. Apparently, prolonged time away from his heart will cause him to turn cold. Remember that, cause the games NEVER brings this little factoid up again.
And I guess the princess just forgot where they random duckling came from, because she just forgets all about him for no apparent reason. He eventually returns to ask for her hand in marriage, but because the king, her father, doesn't want her to marry a prince from a kingdom that's said to worship DEATH and all that, he attempts to trick the prince with a stained portrait of the princess, putting it off as her actual likeness.
Of course, the prince is not deterred as he fell in love with her kindness, not her beauty and returns disguised as a blind fiddler. The princess arrives, but still doesn't recognise him, again for no apparent reason! Naturally, because honestly, the guy gave his literal heart away and this chick doesn't remember her only childhood friend, and also because the king lied to him, he cursed the princess into the portrait, to become as stained and ugly as her broken promise.
Over the years, a family of knights are selected to take the princess place every blood moon so that she can find the Water of Life. One knight eventually betrayed his oath and tried to burn the portrait to spare his family, but was caught and condemned for it. Follow me here, because this matters for some reason!
Then we come in. A man, secretly a descendant of the knight, sets out to find the portrait and help the princess and neglects to tell us this when he proceeds to PUSH US OFF A CLIFF! After that, we're suddenly working together, even though he PUSHED US OFF A CLIFF and proceed to the islet that contains the Water of Life... that is then never brought up or even used as the Dark Prince shows up and is still pissed that the Princess doesn't remember him and just decided to swallow the world into darkness. A fight scene happens, prince gets stabbed, and then I guess??? the princess remembers him now, because she kisses and embraces him as he's dying??? and then the game just ends. Curse lifted, danger averted, what a wonderful day!
It... it was just a bizarre ending. Like, with all the talk of a broken promise and the princess just randomly forgetting, I thought the knight or at least the king was gonna have some hand in that, especially with the graffiti, "The King's Lie Ruined Us!" like, I was expecting a parable to tell me that the king wiped the girl's memory because he wanted to erase the Dark Prince entirely. I was expecting the Dark Prince to be a misunderstood good guy that seems evil but then helps us, especially when the Swan Knight PUSHED US OFF THE CLIFF and put the other guy in the portrait.
And with all the talk of swans and the whole Ugly Duckling bit, I thought this game would have some ties to the Swan Lake Kingdom, but I don't think it was even brought up as a clue or a Easter egg.
And then there was the Bonus Game, because of course I got the collector's edition, and it was just so random! Like, suddenly there's an impostor, and I think it was meant to be Julian from the Jack and the Sky Kingdom game, because the impostor was carrying a rose around. Anyway, the impostor impersonates the princess, for some reason, tricks the knight into cursing himself into a portrait, for some reason, and then kidnaps the princess and ties her up on the islet, FOR SOME REASON!!! and then THAT bonus game just.... ENDS! NO FOLLOW UP WHATSOEVER!!!
Sorry if this rant to getting tiresome, but this games meant a lot to me and the fact that it ends like this was so confusing and disappointing. It just... ends. Not with a dramatic bang, but with a cold whimper.
It makes me hope that if Dark Parables ever comes back, that knock us out the ball park.
Anyway, I just wanted to rant. Thank you guys!

AVATAR PROMPT
Spider meets a couple of human teens that are part of the RDA'S Project Adam and Eve; the program dedicated to perfecting the "Pandoran Human" by experimenting with ways to allow them to breath the air safely.
One of them has a lot to say about RDA and humans in general.
"You know what the problem is with humans? They shoot themselves into space, carrying with them the promise to make humanity a new home, and then turn around and make the same mistakes that fucked over Earth! Subjugation and discrimination of the natives, deforestation, sport hunting animals for the smallest of resources! The whale hunting prove that it was never about making a new home! It was about making money!"
"And even if they did take Pandora for themselves, chances are that the only ones that will get to partake in 'Humanity's New Home' are the rich elitists that practically paid for Earth's death warrant, leaving the underprivileged to live with the leftovers. Fuck! The only reason that someone like me is even on this moon is because they needed to see if their labrats will survive here, so that they could live!!"
"No wonder the Na'vi hate us. I hate us too."

I'm not sure why, but I have this headcanon that Gregory may be a reincarnation of Gabriel (one of the missing kids that go on to possess Freddy) maybe it was a combination of having the letter 'G' on their first name and being associated with Freddy.
With that in mind, I kinda like the idea of Cassie being a reincarnation of Charlotte (you thought I was gonna say Cassidy, didn't ya?;}) the reason there are a bit different.
Tumblr media
Remind you of anything?
Tumblr media
That, and the fact that Cassie has absolutely 💯 proven to be a ride or die kind of friend, willing to go above and beyond to try and save "Gregory".
I honestly like this headcanon, because to me, it symbolizes everything getting a rebranding and a second chance. Yes, Security Breach is different but that's okay because it gave us a fresh start. And now the ones that were given the short end of the stick are given another chance.
That's just me anyway.
Edit
NOT TO MENTION!! That Cassie's dad has been referred to as a bit of a handyman and a FFP fan (Bonnie being claimed as her father's favourite character and that he collects FFP merchandise) Could be a callback to Henry Emily!
And as I was thinking over this headcanon more with the release of Ruin, I've actually been thinking...
What if instead of Gabriel, Gregory is a reincarnation of Cassidy?
Follow me on this here: Cassidy is the spirit that possesses Golden Freddy (a Freddy Fazbear counterpart), and Gregory is associated with Glamrock Freddy (a <Freddy Fazbear> counterpart) they are both portrayed to be quite vengeful (Cassidy damning William in UCN, and Gregory destroying the Glamrock animatronics in Security Breach)
With that in mind, then it really does kinda go full circle, with Charolette and Cassidy together again, once again up against Afton Robotics once more in a bid to stay alive.
Let me know what you guys think

Na’vi Tails
I am not sure why, maybe it’s all the art of Metkayina being seals (sea puppies) and Omatikaya being tigers (kitties!) but I have always imagined that Metkayina tails are more like dog tails. Like, they wag when they’re happy, while Omatikaya tails twitch when they’re upset, like a cat’s.
Maybe it’s just me.
I defiantly headcanon that ALL Na’vi purr, no matter what :3

So I'm rewatching Amphibia and, am I the only one who wished that Anne had gotten some more Amphibia-esthetic attire rather then just running around in a school uniform? Like, sure, she got the breastplate, but I wanted her to have more.
Like, Sasha got her toad armour, Marcy got her newt ranger get-up. I would have liked for the Planters to go through the effort of getting Anne some overalls and flannel or something to represent Wartwood's farming community.
Maybe it's just me.

I've been hearing about how Trudy was meant to "come back", but the actress declined. So I can only assume that meant that Trudy was meant to return as a Recombinant.
Which likely meant she would have been put on Quaritch's deja blue team. Maybe she doesn't remember that she defected and that fact was purposely kept under wraps by the higher ups, or maybe she does remember and they thought they could use her insider knowledge against Jake and the Na'vi (which, obviously, fat chance getting anything out of her)
And now I can't stop thinking of Trudy becoming the mother protective figure that Spider had been missing all his life while he was the RDA's captive. And when push comes to shove, Trudy will help Spider escape and absolutely would she save her nephew Neyteyam.
And on top of that, Norm's reaction to Trudy in a Na'vi body would be the cherry on top🤣

Honestly, I am amazed that I haven't seen any fanart of Spider in a Na'vi inspired Spider-man suit.
Like, in full disclosure, he'd make an awesome Spider-man! He's survivor-smart, witty, and clearly strong and quick on his feet.
And on top of that, his birth name "Miles" and his chosen name "Spider" give more rise to this, not to mention is family-issues and sense of responsibility are reminiscent of a Spider-man.
He'd make a perfect Spider-man 🕷

Just a little Avatar AU
Just a thought that popped in my head.
Ronal’s spirit sister’s calf just barely survives long enough to be taken back to  Awa'atlu and is treated by the best healers of the Metkayina. Then the big battle happens, but the poor thing just has no energy, too weak and heartbroken to leave the little lagoon she’s resting in without supervision.
Yet somehow, she slips by the Metkayinas watching her, sending the entire village into a panic as they sail out to find the orphaned Tulkun.
Luckily, she didn’t stray too far, having been found on the far side of the island, where Spider finds her and comforts her in her grief, giving so many apologises about her mother, and the baby can just sense that the boy is just as broken as she is, before the Metkayina find them and take her back to the lagoon.
One day, Spider and Kiri decide to visit her at the lagoon. Ronal is just about to turn them away, when the baby starts trilling excitedly at the sight of the human. Stunned, as this was the first sound she made in hours in their attempts to feed her. Ronal allows Spider into the lagoon and with her guidance, is able to feed her.
The whole Tonowari family is stunned that the baby Tulkun has taken to the sky boy so well. But whatever it is allows them to finally get her back in shape. So Ronal allows Spider to visit the calf regularly, just so long as she’s strong enough to rejoin her pod.

Velma Redo
It was bound to happen. It was bad enough that they came after my preteens with Dragons: The Nine Realms, now they have the audacity to brutalise my childhood? They basically snatched up my childhood, eviscerated and pulled out it’s entrails, framed them and called it art. Granted, I only saw the first episode, but trust me, once was enough and I’ve heard enough from other reviewers.
So, like Nine Realms before, I decided to try my own hand at redoing this abysmal show because redoing bad shows is both fun and stress relieving.
Now, starting off with Velma Dinkley of course (I will be using Picrew for this: https://picrew.me/secret_image_maker/GWQo0ayzr7bd5eKF )
Tumblr media
Alias(es): V, Velm, Dinkley, Dinkle-Toes, Von Dinkenstein Occupation: Amateur Detective-for-Hire, Research Assistant, Volunteer Liberian, Aspiring Book Writer. Species: Human Age: 15 Relative(s): Detective Dave Dinkley (Uncle), Angie Dinkley (Mother), Dale Dinkley (Father) Ethnicity: Indian-American Gender: Cisgender Female Sexuality: Asexual Lesbian Hair: Brown Bob cut Skin: Almond Brown with freckles Eyes: Amber Attire: Orange sweater, maroon jogger pants, red slip-on shoes, a black hoodie, a maroon beanie, square glasses, red headphones, twin ear studs in each ear. Velma was once a sweet and awkward girl that was obsessed with ghosts and monsters, her absolute favourite always being Frankenstein. She would go out everyday with her best friend Daphne and pretend to look for monsters and protect the town. Her parents were private investigators and loved her very much. Life was good.
Until one dark and stormy night, she saw a ‘strange monster’ take her parents away. She tries to tell the police about what she saw, but they just think she made it up and eventually concluded that her parents left and abandoned her. Shortly after, Daphne tells her that they can’t be friends anymore and abandons her. Upset that she lost her best friend and she couldn’t remember her parents’ kidnapper, she began to hate anything related to the supernatural and instead turned to logic and facts.
In her teens, she become an A++ student, but is alone, cynical and cold at the world, her only friend being her ex-boyfriend, Norville “Shaggy” Rogers. One day after school, she and her detective uncle, Dave, end up in a car accident, which leads Velma to find a strange tree stump, from which she starts experiences hallucinations of a woman being tried for witchcraft and being burned alive. Scared she’s loosing her mind, she goes to find reason and logic. But there was no time to as the next day, a student was murdered out in the woods, right on the tree stump that Velma found.

Tumblr media
Daphne and Velma were once best friends and stuck together like glue. But Daphne was quite clumsy and had the habit of getting in all sorts of trouble, earning her the nickname “Danger-Prone Daphne”. Her parents blamed Velma for their ‘precious flower’ always getting hurt and forced Daphne to cut ties with her or they could make life very difficult. The next day, Velma’s parents disappeared and Daphne genuinely thought that her parents hired someone to hurt them. So she cut ties with Velma, leaving the girl to go through her troubles alone.
Years later, Daphne appears to be the perfect daughter; Heir to the Blake fortune, President of the Drama Club and Head Reporter for Crystal Cove High’s newspaper, Crystal Clear Facts. She hangs out with the popular girls, whose idea of roughing it was a mall without high-speed Wi-Fi. But every fortnight, she joins the Hex Girl’s at Ma and Pa Skillett’s Diner as her Hex Girl persona, Crush, and sings her songs with the band.
She was on her way home through the woods when she suddenly hears commotion: something crashing in the distance, vicious howls and roars and screams of a man in pain. Daphne hides away in terror until the noise stops. As she carefully makes her way home, she sees something. The Hex Girls gathering around a tree stump that was covered in someone’s blood. She watches as Thorn collects the blood in a small vial and talks about how ‘she is coming. Coming to bring suffering to Crystal Cove. We have to get ready’. Thorn then performs a spell, disappearing in a veil of smoke with the others. Daphne is stunned and scared and rushes back home. She is so stunned by what happened, she says nothing all day until assembly; where the principal reveals that a student was found murdered on a tree stump out in the woods. Daphne immediately suspects the Hex Girls were the culprits and begins her own investigation to solve the murder.
Fred Jones
Tumblr media
Alias(es): Frederick Herman Jones (Full Name) Freddy, King of Crystal Cove High Occupation: Amateur Detective-for-Hire, Amateur trap-maker, Baseball Player for the Crystal Cove Freaks, Assistant Mechanic at Mean Machine Mechanics Species: Human Age: 17 Relative(s): Skip Jones (Father) Peggy Jones (Mother) Eddie Jones (Uncle) Ethnicity: African-American Gender: Cisgender Male Sexuality: Pansexual Hair: Black curly hair in a fade style Skin: Chocolate brown, seems to always be wearing a band-aid somewhere Eyes: Dark brown Attire: White T-shirt bearing the face of the Crystal Cove Freak, the mascot of Crystal Cove High, a blue Letterman jack with the first letter of his name printed on the breast, blue jeans, white sneakers, black ear studs in each ear. He carries an orange neckerchief in his jean pocket. Friends/Allies: Velma Dinkley (friend), Daphne Blake (crush/on-and-off lover), Norville “Shaggy” Rogers (drug dealer-bully victim-friend) Hobbies: Reading true crime books, playing baseball, working with cars Likes: Daphne, Daphne being herself, Working on cars, inventing his own traps, being the star athlete, keeping fit, staying ahead of class, having real friends, protecting his friends Dislikes: Eddie encouraging him to cheat, People finding out that he used steroids in a game, bullying Shaggy, his inventions not working, his friends in danger, Daphne putting on a façade for her parents.
Fred Jones was always a hyper and inquisitive child. But if there was anything he liked to do, it was make things, anything really, but specifically traps. His parents had a severe rat problem, so he laid a series of ingenious, humane traps to catch all the rats and release them far from their home. Their parents were proud of his ingenious way of thinking, though his uncle Eddie, a professional wrestler, felt it was a waste for a ‘strapping young man’ to not bulk up and be one. “What if a man breaks into the house and robs ya? You not gonna scare him away with a mousetrap”. This would give Fred certain anxieties about not being strong enough to protect his family and put aside his inventions.
In his teens, Fred is having a hard time. Before his first baseball game, Eddie pressured Fred to ‘get a little boost’ to win. Fred initially refused, wanting to win by his own strengths, but Eddie insisted. So Fred went to the best known drug dealer in the school: Norville Rogers a.k.a Shaggy. Shaggy gave him the ‘boost’ as requested and Fred was able to win the game. Guilt ridden for cheating, his anxieties bubbled into misplaced anger, often taking it out on Shaggy via threatening him to never say anything. He and Daphne often hook up during this period, with Daphne feeling like he’s holding something back.
One day, Fred and Eddie are called into the principal’s office, with evidence that Fred was taking boosters during the game and is thus suspended from the next game. Fred immediately assumes Shaggy ratted him out and goes to confront him. He follows Shaggy into the woods and is about to confront him when a strange animal suddenly attacks Shaggy. Fred is in shock before a Great Dane appears and lures the animal away, leaving the wounded boy on the forest floor, bleeding out. Fred steps up and takes Shaggy out of the woods and too the hospital. Fred is quiet the next day. His teammates aren’t talking to him and he’s not sure to describe what he saw last night. Then he hears about the murdered student at assembly and couldn’t help but wonder: was the thing that attacked Shaggy the killer? And was Shaggy its’ intended victim?
Norville “Shaggy” Rogers
Tumblr media
Alias(es): Norville (Real Name), Shaggy, Shag, the Invincible Shaginator Occupation: Amateur Detective-for-Hire, Small-time drug dealer, Dog walker Species: Human (formerly) Werewolf Age: 17 Relative(s): Sheriff Colton Rogers (Father), Paula Rogers (Mother), Margaret Rogers (Little Sister) Ethnicity: Canadian-American Gender: Cisgender Male Sexuality: Straight Hair: Dusty blonde in a really unruly style, shadow beard Skin: Ivory Eyes: Light Brown Attire: A lime green t-shirt and hoodie with baggy brown pants, black Velcro shoes, a red beanie over his head, three black ear studs in each ear, a pair of red headphones Pet(s): Scooby-Doo (Great Dane) Friends/Allies: Velma Dinkley (ex-girlfriend-best friend) Fred Jones (client-bully-friend) Daphne Blake (client-friend) Hobbies: Eating, sleeping, Dog Walking, watching scary movies, listening to music Likes: Anything to do with Scooby-Doo, Fake monster effects, Halloween, Dog walking, eating, sleeping, KISS band, Wülfsmöøn band, Hex Girls band, having actual friends, the pros of being a werewolf (I.E super strength, super speed, super senses) Dislikes: Real monsters and ghouls, Scooby-Doo in danger, being alone, his friends in danger, the cons of being a werewolf (I.E the extra appetite, the bloodlust, the full moon illness) being used as bait, dealing drugs.
Shaggy was always a quiet child, a loner. Never really interacting with others. He got alone better with the dogs from his father’s K9 unit then he did with kids his own age. This isolation only grew with the disappearance of the Dinkley couple, though he did reach out to Velma in her time of need, earning her friendship and ending his loneliness. All he ever wanted was a dog of his own, but his parents always refused.
In his teen years, he has gotten himself into a bind. He has gotten to using creative substances, mostly weed, behind his father’s back as a method of decompressing from anxiety attacks. But he soon fell in deep and suddenly became the biggest name in the school for drug dealing. He hates that it got this far, but he knows that he can’t pull out or tell his dad, as word would get out and ruin his father’s career. One such deal was giving Fred a booster for his baseball game, which lead to Fred constantly threatening him to keep it secret or he’ll tell his father. So Shaggy was officially stuck. Aside from that, his life was… fine. He and Velma dated for a while before deciding it was better to remain friends and they stuck together through thick and thin.
He ends the day with decided to head to his secret cabin in the woods, not wanting to deal with his dad at the moment (unaware that a disillusioned Fred was following close behind) when something big suddenly tackled him to the ground, biting into his shoulder. Shaggy screams in agony, but vaguely makes out a dog, a Great Dane to be exact, lead the animal away as Fred picks him up and takes him to the hospital. Despite the viciousness of the attack, Shaggy comes out of it alright, though he is very dizzy and tired. All he knew was that he was feeling… hungry. Like, hungrier then usual. And his senses appear to be in overdrive, able to hear and smell things he wouldn’t usually hear or smell. And on top of it all, that Great Dane seemed to be following him around everywhere.
When the principal announced the murder of a fellow student, Shaggy wondered if the thing that attacked him killed the girl. He tries to forget the whole ordeal, but stumbles upon the Great Dane again, who upon further inspection, is heavily malnourished and scared. Shaggy brings the dog home and gives him a bath and a nutritious meal; during the bath, he discovers that the dog had a collar with a name: Champion. Shaggy speaks honestly and tells him that he doesn’t look like a Champion and thinks of something else. Spying the box of dog food labelled Scooby Snacks, he asks: “What do you think of Scoobert, or Scooby for short?” Scooby barks, seemingly in agreement. And so Shaggy finally found his own Man’s Best Friend.
Scooby-Doo (this art was made by u/ArtMakerProductions)
Tumblr media
Alias(es): Champion (former name) Scoobert-Doo, Scooby-Doo Occupation: Guard Dog (Formerly) Rogers family pet, Amateur detective dog, Therapy dog Species: Dog (Great Dane) Age: 7 years Relative(s): *** *********** (Former owner) Shaggy Rogers (Owner) Colton Rogers (Family) Paula Rogers (Family) Margaret “Maggie” Rogers (Family) Gender: Male Fur: Brown with black spots on his shoulders and back Eyes: Brown Attire: Leather red collar with spiked studs and the name “Champion” engraved (formerly) A felt blue collar with a Scooby-Doo themed name tag, with his name and Shaggy’s phone number on the back. Friends/Allies: Norville “Shaggy” Rogers (Owner/Best Friend), Velma Dinkley (Friend) Fred Jones (Friend) Daphne Blake (Friend) Likes: Shaggy, His friends, Scooby Snacks, Being petted, his Scooby-Doo collar, Trying to make everyone happy, keeping everyone safe Dislikes: His friends being hurt/in danger, Doing something immoral, Scary monsters
Scooby-Doo didn’t have a good rearing as a pup. A nameless pup, he was sold from owner to owner and given many names, but none would ever stick. Eventually he came into the care of a certain character that was in need of a guard dog, and was given the name “Champion”. The man hoped for Champion to be a guard dog to help hide his more illicit secrets. It would be witnessing this secret that causes Champion to run in terror. Angered, the man sends ‘a friend’ to ‘take care of the worthless mutt’. This friend would chase Champion all through the woods, causing a car to crash and an innocent young man getting caught in his chaser’s jaws. Champion couldn’t let the boy die and attacked the monster, bringing his attention back to him and fleeing once more. It was only with the break of dawn did Champion truly escape.
The next morning, Champion crossed paths with the young man the monster attacked, who saw the Great Dane’s abused state and brought him home for some well deserved rest, cleaning and nourishment. Upon finding the red collar and reading the name “Champion” the dog whined and scuttled away, prompting Shaggy to get rid of the collar. Figuring the poor animal needed a new name, his eyes fell on the television, where the commercial for the pet food brand “Scooby Snacks! A treat so good, your furry friend will sing the words: Scooby Dooby Doo!” and so, Scooby was given his brand new name, a name that he was sure would stick this time.
While the most cowardly dog ever met, Scooby’s more then makes up for it with his undying loyalty to Mystery Inc. always pulling through for them no matter how scared. He comforts them in their darkest hours, protects them in their moment of need and is always there to put a smile on their faces with his goofy antics.

Experiment Question:
What do you think that Kratos (specifically Ragnarök Kratos) would think of the kids of Camp Half-Blood?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I personally think he would be a good father figure and trainer and would ABSOLUTELY put his foot down about sending CHILDREN on life threatening quests.
