yes another Zukka AU

Ok so Zuko got put in charge of a boat and its crew at age 13 (not the brightest decision right Ozai) and Hakoda was on sea a year later right? So imagine Sokka, really wanting to go with his dad, deciding to snuck in their boat, so when his dad finally finds him, its too late to go back but still, they can’t let him stay on a WAR boat so they set a course for a port to contact someone from the tribe to pick him up but while they were there, you have 14 years old Zuko meeting 13 years old Sokka and both have 0 idea who the other is until someone, probably lieutenant Jee, comes up to Zu and is like “Your Highness, we are ready to depart” except that in the short time the boys were together, Zuko got told about the raids and a first hand story about the Fire Nation’s “GrEaTnEsS” so he’s like “wait a second my dad’s an asshole” and he’s just like “ok no we are going to help Sokka’s dad” and after a lengthy discussion of life choices, parenting styles and boats intricacies, Zuko comes out with a new dad, a boyfrie- best friend and a new life goal, which is to end the war. He also gives several people a new life goal too, which is to punch the Fire Lord in the face, or whack him in the head with a bat, they’re not picky

“the blue spirit? do u mean lee from the tea shop’s secret boyfriend? we see him coming in the window at the craziest times of night.”

“i wonder if his uncle knows”

Okay so we know that Sokka is notoriously cool under pressure, BUT we also know that sometimes if he’s the ONLY one in danger his brain cells reduce to zero (see: bitter work).

All I’m saying is if he was cornered by Zuko alone in close quarters, I think his single brain cell would activate and he’d kiss him. Zuko would so startled that he’d stop attacking and Sokka could get away.

The comedic potential and potential fallout of this is just too good

I had a really funny idea for a Zukka time travel AU, but I can’t write so all I have to offer are two low quality memes

Katara: *Pissed off* Zuko is so.. Ugh! He won't listen to me.

Sokka: What do you mean?

Katara: I told him he needed sleep and he just flicked me off. He won't listen!

Sokka, cracking his knuckles: Let me try.

Sokka: Hey Zuko, buddy, my man.. I think you need a break. How about some sleep?

Zuko: Huh? Oh sure. Anything for you.

Katara: ????

zukka librarian AU where Zuko is a librarian minding his own business and Sokka is a MENACE to society who checks out like 17 books a week and somehow finishes them all (maybe to see the hot librarian faster who knows??)

so then one day the library does a reading challenge to see who can read the most books in a month where the winner gets a “secret private tour of the library” and of course Sokka wins (bc like I said menace to society) but he’s like, “I want HIM to show me around” and he points to Zuko in his little black turtleneck looking rather terrified, and the other staff members are like, well ya gotta do it I guess…

so Zuko shows him around the library, that’s probably like a gazillion years old (maybe more) with all its nooks and crannies and possible ghost stories and sightings and Sokka is SO into it bc he’s a nerd but also because the way Zuko passionately talks about the library is like.. so hot.

and they finish the tour and Sokka’s like, this can’t be it so he panics and is like DO YOU WANNA JOIN MY BOOK CLUB???

and Zuko is like.. uh yeah sure I love book clubs (and cute stupid guys)

but the thing IS is that Sokka doesn’t actually HAVE a book club so he recruits the gaang to come over to his house to stage a book club and they do it bc they’re good friends (begin the chaos of crash coursing the gaang through like wuthering heights or something) and when they all leave sokka and zuko end up staying behind to talk about books and be nerds and maybe kiss a little

and now they’re book nerd boyfriends. the end. (also zuko is indoctrinated into their friend group. double the end)

zukka modern au where The Jasmine Dragon is a boba tea shop

one day sokka is dragged there by aang and toph (even though he hates boba), and he sees zuko working there and ends up with a massive crush on him. so, he keeps coming back to talk to zuko but has to order smth every time so he just suffers through drinking the boba until he gets the guts to ask zuko out

zuko later finds out about his dislike for boba and laughs in his face because “we have other types of tea on the menu, bubble tea is just the most popular”

zukka arranged marriage au where mid-20’s sokka is fuming for WEEKS leading up to meeting his future husband because he can’t get married, he has WORK. but then zuko arrives and he looks like, well, zuko, and sokka is suddenly fine with the marriage and insisting they sleep in the same room to get to know each other better before the wedding.

Ozai: We engineered a psychopath to kill you
