Despite liking a lot the bonding scene we got on the actual movie, the one on the early draft feels way more complete.

Besides showing them on the sea like in the actual movie, it´s not limited to just them swimming around but also doing some other things related to them being sea creatures (the blowhole scene was kinda fun).

There´s also the boardwalk scene, Ruby has spent her whole life on land up to that point and still it seems she never stepped in that part of town until she met Chelsea, and it´s just filled with them playing carnival games, eating lunch, taking pics and recording silly videos together. I think the draft version really took advantage of the word "TEENAGE" slapped in the name of the movie.

And what not, the earlier designs are great, the beanie and jacket really ties together Ruby´s look, and Chelsea´s pretty similar to her final design besides the hair (I prefer the long hair tho).

I´ve seen a lot of posts pointing out how these early versions of Ruby and Chelsea resemble a lot to Anne and Sasha from Amphibia, and they are right, you have the duo of a friend who´s a bit of a push over teamed up with the friend who´s somewhat irresponsible and still cares a lot for her friends.

I really hope more and more material from the early drafts of this movie surface in the following months, it gives me a lot of Zootopia vibes being both movies with a dark first draft that had to be toned down for the final version.

Omg I forgot to tell you - two of my friends were on the set of The Crown (seasons 1-2) and they said the attention to details (interior design and fashion) was amazing. They even used some original wallpapers, furniture, clothes, and sometimes it took ages to find them

last birthday - ohhh this is one of my new favorite songs. the entire thing is such a vibe start to finish, and the lyrics hit me hard. especially the prechorus “all you needed was someone there to sit next to you, but all i needed was you” perfectly sums up that feeling of knowing you value someone way more than they value you. not even that they don’t like you but like you know they have closer friends, older friends, etc. the production reminds me a lot of owl city which i like a lot and the happy tune to sad words reminds me SO much of noah kahan and the lyrics remind me a lot of taylor swift and ahhh i love this song a lot

Hey, so I saw this video and it got me thinking. What if the reason Hopper bullies the ants for food so much is because he molted into a locust during a time of famine? Maybe his family didn’t have anything to eat and he had to do anything he could to stay alive? What if because of this change he’s always hungry, and that causes a lot of his outbursts? That poor bug. If Flick knew maybe he would’ve shown him more mercy or reached out.

This is actually the first time I've been introduced to the differences between a locust and a grasshopper. For a long while, I assumed they were two different species in the same genus or family.

After watching the video and doing more research, it turns out the only defining difference between them is their psychological state. A grasshopper is only defined as a locust when it is surrounded by others of its kind and it essentially "panics" and grows manic and savage. That's why locusts are known for wreaking havoc on crops, it's like a manic episode for them.

This manic state happens when the sensory glands on the grasshopper's hind legs are rubbed constantly over a period of 4 hours. So, when they are surrounded by more due to famines, that spot is getting rubbed and it drives them crazy.

In comparison, it's similar to how a cat will oftentimes bite when you scratch that spot at the base of its tail. That spot is actually a sensitive gland that, when touched, overstimulates the cat's senses.

Based on my research, the molting that transpires during this psychological change is because of the stressful environment of being overcrowded. Kind of like how people themselves will lose more hair when stressed or a lot of animals shed their fur when facing anxiety. It's a consequence of the circumstances more than a method of adaptation.

That being said, I tried researching to see if locusts could go back to being grasshoppers, or essentially reverse that psychological state. And, unfortunately, came upon controversial answers. It's one of those, yes and no type questions.

This means I get to interpret the information however I want! XD

So for this short story, I'm going to be assuming that the psychological state can be reversed when they are distanced from the other grasshoppers (locusts). However, because they have already been in that manic state, Hopper and Molt find themselves in dangerous territory where the glands on their legs are much more sensitive. Meaning, they have a higher chance of reverting back to that manic state if they are too stressed.

Additionally, I'm twisting it a little bit from what we see in the movie. Now that these glands are more sensitive, the brothers are prone to be driven into a deeper manic state than what they were initially in. Especially Hopper, who was shown in the movie to be more on edge compared to his brother. Thumper's mentality is a prime example of this deeper state. So, Hopper and Molt -- mainly Hopper, but Molt must also tread lightly -- can easily be coaxed into that savage state if the glands are rubbed.

"Come on! You'll have a great time, I promise!" Flik tugged on Hopper's arm. It was times like these he wished he weighed even half of what Hopper did.

The grasshopper didn't have to resist much. "Kid, I don't think that's such a good idea," he scratched the back of his neck.

Flik dramatically groaned, "But everyone will be there! Do you realize how often the Monarchs throw a huge party like this? Every ten years! This is our chance to meet them in person! The Monarchs, Hopper!"

"Yeah, no, I get it, really...but it's really just not my scene," Hopper unclasped Flik's hands from around his arm and stepped back. "You can go without me. The Circus Bugs are going aren't they?"

The ant gave a defeated huff, "Well, yeah..."

"Well there ya go," Hopper shrugged and nudged Flik toward the entrance of his room, "You'll have the time of your life. Go and enjoy yourself."

Flik spun around, "But it won't be the same! It's just for the night, Hop."

He sighed, "Flik--"

"Please?" The ant drooped his antennae back, lip quivering and eyes doleful. It was the most pitiful thing Hopper had laid eyes on.

His resolve lasted about five more seconds before he dropped his head, "Alright, fine...I'll go."

Flik laughed in victory, "You won't regret it!" He pulled Hopper with him down the tunnel.

"I highly doubt that."

The lightning bugs were flashing around, creating a mystical ambiance. Flik was awed at the plethora of species dancing and conversing with each other. The Monarchs held their celebrations in The City, which seemed fitting for a social creature.

Unfortunately, some of the creatures there weren't exactly social...

Flik laughed as Heimlich immediately zoned in on the food table, clearing a wide path among the crowd. "See Hop? Isn't this great?" His question wasn't answered. "Hop?" He looked around behind him, pinpointing the grasshopper a ways off.

Hopper tried staying calm, biting his lip unconsciously. There were just...so...many...insects. So much noise and racket. Where was Molt when he needed him? Lucky idiot made the excuse of helping Dr. Flora restock her infirmary. Now here he was. Why didn't he just say no? All the voices seemed as if they were blaring in his antennae.

"--op?" He blinked his eyes open, not realizing he'd squinted them closed. Flik was looking up at him worriedly, "You okay?"

"Huh? Yeah! Yeah, I'm fine," Hopper gave a wavering smile, "Just...enjoying the view," his heart felt like bursting from his chest at the sight. Everyone was just inches from each other...swarming the area.

Flik, in all innocence, gave an encouraging smile, "Well come join the fun! You can't enjoy yourself just standing here!" He went behind the grasshopper and nudged him forward.

Hopper jumped back when another insect brushed against him, "Wait, Flik! This isn't--"

Another insect bumped into them, apologizing offhandedly before moving along. Flik was small enough to not worry too much about the overcrowding. He lived in a colony for goodness' sake. Hopper felt the world spinning around him as more insects kept sliding past. To any other insect, the faint brushes of their wings against their leg would have passed them by. For Hopper, it felt like lightning jolting through his body at every touch.

While everything blurred around him, the sound of Flik calling his name was becoming white noise. A scream pierced through the chaos of his senses.

"Everyone watch out!"

"Be careful!"

"What's wrong with it?"

Flik was pulled back by the arm just as a claw sliced the air in front of him. Gypsy pushed Flik back cautiously. He stared wide-eyed at his friend, "W-What's happening?"

Hopper was doubled-over, clawing at his head momentarily before lashing out at the closest bug to him. A dragonfly fell back trying to get away, "It's gone savage!" she screamed and scrambled back into the crowd. Everyone started panicking and pushing to put distance between them and the grasshopper.

"Hopper! Are you okay?" Flik stepped forward, but Gypsy kept him back.

The grasshopper flattened his antennae baring his teeth at Flik and stalking toward him. His pupils were dilated, wings flared out, and breathing manic. Flik swallowed and shakily called out again, "Hop?"

Like a blur, Hopper lunged forward with claws sheathed. The crowd dispersed in a panic. Gypsy moved Flik behind her protectively, "Dim! Rosie! A little help over here!"

She closed her eyes shut as Hopper snarled and came inches from her face. A heavy thud directed her attention to the rhino beetle beside them. Rosie was perched on his back, working quickly to shoot her webbing around the grasshopper. Hopper tried cutting through the material but it wound tightly around his arms, immobilizing him.

"Man, what the heck happened?" Francis and the others dared walking up to Hopper, earning a hiss in response. "He...he's acting kinda like Thumper."

Flik stepped out from behind Gypsy, keeping his eyes focused on Hopper, "Hop? What's wrong buddy?" He yelped when the grasshopper snapped his jaws toward him. "Th-That's not Hopper..."

Gypsy put an arm around Flik's shoulders, "Let's take him back to the colony. Maybe Dr. Flora knows what's wrong."

"Goodness! I-I can't say I have anything of use," Flora frantically searched through her herbs. Hopper was on the floor still wrapped in the webbing, his back pressed against the rock-slab bed.

Molt walked in with some supplies in his arms, catching sight of the others, "Oh, you guys are back early!" His smile dropped when he saw his brother. "Hop!" the supplies were quickly forgotten about. Molt slid to the ground beside his brother, "Aw, Hoppy, I knew that party was a bad idea."

"You know what's wrong with him?" Francis tossed a seed at the grasshopper's head, making him snarl and push against his binds.

"It was probably 'cause o' the crowd," Molt cautiously brushed Hopper's antennae back, ignoring the growls. "The stress can make grasshopper's go savage."

Francis snorted, "Stress?"

"Well, yeah," Molt shrugged. "That and...say, were there a lot o' bugs swarmed together?"

Flik blinked, "Yeah, it was a party."

"Did he run into anyone? Or brush against anyone?"

Slim rolled his eyes, "The place was so crowded you couldn't take one step without touching someone."

Molt hummed, "Well that's why he went savage. We grasshoppers have a gland on our legs that's sensitive to touch. It's overstimulating and drives us crazy." Tentatively, he drew a claw over Hopper's leg, making the grasshopper squirm and growl from the sensation. "It's a survival tactic for when there's no food. We'll join a swarm of grasshopper's that will trigger those sensations and drive us to find food."

Flik felt a bit braver to sit down beside Hopper, "Is that why you guys were in a gang? For survival?"

"Yeah, a drought hit us bad at our old home and we were forced to find others to get food."

The ant looked back at Hopper, taking in his demeanor. Was Hopper savage back then? He certainly hadn't acted this wild. But he was definitely on edge. He was just...hungry. Starving, actually. Driven on fear for his own survival.

Gypsy kneeled down in front of Hopper, "Well, I can't do much for that gland. But I do know how to relieve stress." She forced her thumbs beneath his jaw to keep him from biting, pushing her other fingers against the back of his head. "There's a pressure point called 'the gates of consciousness' that helps relieve stress." She carefully pressed down on the back of his neck.

A deep shudder coursed his body before going limp. Gypsy felt his jaw relax and she slowly drew back, lifting his head up, "Alright, Dear, let me see." He blinked his eyes open groggily. They were back to normal from what she could see, "There we go. How are you feeling?"

Hopper groaned, "What...What happened?"

"You went a bit...feral, Dear," Gypsy sat back as Hopper took in his surroundings.

"Feral?" Everything began returning to him. He remembered the party, the lights, bugs, crowding, touching...

He shuddered at the memories, "My head hurts," he groaned.

Gypsy rubbed his temple and began cutting through the webbing, "I can imagine. We'll get you some poppy seeds to sleep it off." Dr. Flora was already getting the medicine together.

Flik wrung his hands together, "I'm sorry, Hopper. I shouldn't have pressured you into going. Why didn't you tell me this would happen?"

"What was I supposed to say?" Hopper gave a mirthless laugh, "I'd go savage if anyone touched me? Yeah, I don't think you would've believed me."

Dr. Flora handed Gypsy a few poppy seeds. "Here, eat these," she placed them in his hand. Hopper took them and laid his head back against the bed. She patted his knee and stood, "You get some rest, Dear. That headache should be gone by morning."

Flik hesitated, "I hope you're not mad."

"Me?" Hopper peeked an eye open. Flik nodded, "Why would I be mad? You didn't know, kid. On the bright side, I got to leave early," he chuckled.

Flik laughed a bit too, "Yeah, and I won't force you to go to another party again. I promise."

Hopper squinted, pinching his fingers, "I'll go to small parties, how about that? And just with our friends."

The ant grinned, "Works for me."

Anyway now that I am awake fully and coherent, here are some Thoughts (and not all of them are nice):

I’m very meh on Sora’s new design; his outfit is very simple and bland and nowhere near as memorable as his other designs

The overall art style is also very meh for me; it doesn’t stand out as much as 3′s does. I’m hoping that look is only really present for Quadratum and things go back to looking a little more Disney-esque outside of that (like Donald and Goofy looked normal at the very least)

Still very worried about how characters like Roxas, Xion, Terra, Namine, ect, will factor into the series moving forward, I’m really worried about them being sidelined and forgotten about

4am delirious post of the day but. Something about Disney feels so... Urban idk. Like, it'll have characters wanting to experience nature and fail to represent nature in a way that is actually awe-inspiring. I'm thinking about movies like, Tangled, Moana, Frozen 2 etc etc. Like... nature is just A Setting. There's nothing particularly spiritual or magical about being in nature. Moana is all about Moana wanting to be in the sea, and Frozen 2 has a whooole thing about Nature Being In Balance but I think both films miss the mark, like, aesthetically. The shots and direction never give me the vibe that nature is cool. I remember watching Moana for the first time and being bored to death because the entire movie took place in a raft, and the world felt empty because ahajdjsjsj there was nothing but water. There weren't people or civilizations or new cultures for Moana to discover. So, she wants to discover the world outside... but the little world there is is empty. And i know that's bullshit, because I remember loving being at sea alone with a kayak trying to not get eaten by giant seals. I would look down and see the dark sea below and the seaweed forest extending into invisiblity and I always had the feeling a sea dragon was lurking inside. The sea legit felt alive when i was there. I swear it had a soul.

But... Moana never gave me that feel Idk. The shots of the ocean didn't give me the vibe that there was anything magical in it. I couldn't buy that it was alive EVEN THO IT IS in the movie. The sea doesn't feel like an Infinite God. It's just a friendly companion. They took Sentient Sea and made it boring :/

And frozen 2... I love frozen 2 don't get me wrong, and the enviroments WERE beautiful, but they felt so soulless at times. Like everything was emotionally detached from the characters, even though this is a completely new territory for them and they should be in awe. I'm just saying, i wouldn't represent the feeling of feeling small at the foot of the glacier in the way the film does. I think it lacks... shots closer to the perspective of the characters? More lingering shots? A change in music? Maybe?? I don't know what it is but it feels like someone was drawing a glacier and a forest from photos rather than from real memories of exploring a glacier or a forest in person. I can't FEEL the texture of the bark or SEE the growing lichen or the dirt beneath my feet or TASTE the fungi growing on the trees and I don't think the characters can either. It captures external appearance but not the feeling.

And i think it's because Disney just vibes better with characters and people than nature. Look at Tangled. Rapunzel spends her whole life dreaming to see the outside world, yet her experience in the forest feels so shallow and inconsequential when compared to Kingdom Dance. Kingdom Dance DOES feel like her discovering a whole new world even though nature IS a world in itself that she would probably also be intrigued by. Though I can understand her focus on People because she's known exactly one person for her entire life and living in peace deep in the forest already gave her a taste of what nature feels like. She needs PEOPLE. And the movie literally isn't about nature. It IS about people.

And then I look at other Disney movies and say Yeah this checks!! Zootopia FEELS alive. Coco's story about family IS GOOD. The best part of Raya and the Last Dragon is Namaari the relarionships between the characters. Soul takes place in a city without any fresh air. Does anyone remember Big Hero 6? I don't recall seeing a single tree in that movie. The natural enviroments all pale in comparison. And that's ALRIGHT because not all of these movies have to be about nature.

But then you got Moana and Frozen 2 which have no excuse. Moana spent her whole life in A Society. She's now experiencing nature in solitude, completely untouched and unexplored, for the first time, and the movie focuses more on the raft than on the ocean. Frozen 2 does something smart and personalizes (literal) elements of nature into sentient beings the characters can interact with, turning a beautifully lonely spiritual experience into a social interaction. Which is interesting, and I do like it beause the story couldn't have been told any other way, but I do feel like it results in the characters (and the audience) not really connecting with nature as it is, but as a conceptual thing represented as a social interaction between two people. Which... isn't how nature feels to me. It DOES feel like i'm inside a giant god, but the god isn't a cute lizard, it's an undescribable, immense soul that I can feel beating beneath me. Idk it's pretty cool. And i think frozen 2 and Moana could have benefited from trying to capture nature's spiritual beauty with a bit more depth.

Which is why I think there's something very urban about Disney. It feels like city ppl.

And it's not like nature can't be represented well in a visual medium!! My favorite shit game, Skyrim, does this beautifully, with it's dumb graphics and all. I be climbing up a mountain and thinking Wow this feels Actually Alive. And maybe skyrim is a game and that's a different medium so it doesn't count, but I think How To Train Your Dragon, especially the second film, does a wonderful job as well. It's all about the lingering shots of the dragons (dragons count as nature) and the landscape. I can physically feel the distance, the safety, the magic of being so far away surrounded by the sea and snowy mountains. The characters even discuss it on-screen!! So yeah Disney ppl need to spend a few days communing with the ocean god that's my opinion

Or maybe that's me?? Maybe I experience nature in a way that doesn't agree with disney's conception?? I mean that's probably a big reason but I still wanna

Anime

| Cells at Work | (9.5/10)

themes: educational about medicine

opinion: completely lovely and cute, kinda didn’t like the lack of names for the characters but it made sense anyways. It’s very educational about anatomy, medicine and biology, so if you dont like weird scientific names and explanations of medicine, you wont like it

| Kakegurui | (10/10)

themes: betting and girls lol

opinion: one of my favorites so far, all characters are so unique and even if they aren’t supposed to be good guys, you end up loving them. Plot can get kinda confusing at parts but wont last long. Also u must like at least games with bets like a casino cause it’s the base of the show. Know that it contains some weird scenes that sort of sexualizes the girls but are we surprised by now?

themes: animals and else, look at your own risk

opinion: this one blew my mind i swear, the animation is perfect. It felt like a movie, the dialogues were perfect, characters were relatable, i felt like sometimes it was a reference to the real world with discrimination and so, like a japanese sort of graphic zootopia lol but it’s a must

opinion: you gotta love cybergs and blood and weird monsters to like this one. It’s a movie tho, and the end got me sort of confused. Lots of sexualizing female characters but nothing we haven’t seen before. All characters are endearing and makes u get attached fast

themes: graphic af and supernatural kinda

opinion: ok i have mixed feelings about this one, i liked and cried the ending lol, plot is lowkey messy but i think it’s worth a shot. Know that it contains graphic scenes with s*x, drugs, violence and adult language.

| A Silent Voice | (100/10)

themes: movie - drama for sure

opinion: hands down one of the best movies, no cap. Carries a strong message, all the characters teach you something for life, you will cry a lot, let me alert you. I cried like six times but i fucking loved this movie with my whole heart, is one of my favorite ones

| Japan Sinks | (9/10)

themes: drama - natural disasters

opinion: ok this one was good, maybe could be better tbh, many sad parts, also dialogues were weird to me like a bit senseless and there was a weird part of the story but overall it’s entertaining!

| Altered Carbon: Resleeved | (9.5/10)

themes: movie - sci fi cyberpunk kinda +18

opinion: there are a bunch of graphic things like violence and all but overall i really loved this movie, the animation was on point, it felt like a video game tbh maybe there’s a bit of sexualization of women but she’s still badass and i really liked her

| B: The Beginning | (7/10)

themes: half fantasy half crime

opinion: i’m not sure how i feel about this one, it was veeery entertaining, had funny things and interesting characters, only the plot felt a bit confusing at some parts but generally the anime was very good, good ending as well, and keith flick owns my heart and soul so yeah lol

| The Promised Neverland | (1000/10)

themes: kinda horror, more like psychological suspense)

opinion: one of the best animes i’ve watched so far, i don’t even know where to start, just read this because it says it all

| Shiki Oriori | (9/10)

themes: movie - wholesome drama ig

opinion: it’s has the whole ghibli vibe, it’s divided in three stories with similar meanings, it’s about love and life in general, don’t expect a big plot, it makes you feel things tho, i enjoyed it a lot

| Ajin | (8/10)

themes: supernatural, action

opinion: ok i finally finished it and let me say many things. first, it was frustrating many times and kinda slow too, that’s why it took me a lot to finish it. but the plot is SO good, the characters are iconic (i’m in love with mr. tosaki) and the animation is so different to other kinds of anime. it’s hard to recommend tbh, it has its pros and cons and a lot of violence, but its good overall

themes: movie - sci fi cyberpunk

opinion: i personally loved this movie because i enjoy these cyberpunk stories, though the plot was sort of confusing at first. the characters are not so deep and it’s truly enjoyable. overall it was good tho slow at first.

| Ano Hana | (1000/10)

themes: PURE SADNESS, loads of mentions of death

opinion: destroyed my little heart. it was extraordinary, a bit dense at times but overall it really just kills you. it’s very well done and it’s impossible to finish it without crying at least once.

Kdramas

| Hwarang | (10000/10)

themes: historical

best ost: the divine move

opinion: wouldn’t recommend it as a first kdrama to watch since it is basically about ancient korea but if you like shinee and bts, i’m sure you will like to see minho and taehyung together, also the cast is perfect and the bromances of the show are everything

| Strong Girl Bong Soon | (9.5/10)

themes: rom com mostly with superpowers

opinion: extremely adorable, bo young and hyung sik have such a good chemistry, i didn’t like much the funny parts but it’s bearable i guess

| The K2 | (100000000/10 no lying)

themes: action with good villain

best ost: love you

opinion: this is my real must watch, this drama is beyond amazing, the acting is on point, the plot twists so much that i love it, action parts are kinda choreographed obvs but it’s tolerable, ji chang wook’s acting is on point btw

| Suspicious Partner | (10/10)

themes: a bit of everything but mostly rom com

best ost: 101 reasons why i like you

opinion: gosh i love this cast so much, ji wook and bong hee’s relationship is everything, u can tell the actors also have amazing chemistry. Funny parts were well done and not annoying, and the plot twists are so good you can’t be mad, i only hated how long it was

| The Bros | (9/10)

themes: movie - comedy mostly

opinion: it’s actually a mix of everything lmao i cried and laughed and was lowkey confused but it’s such a rollercoaster i really loved it also ma dong seok is the best actor korea has, no cap

| Derailed | (8/10)

themes: movie - suspense and action

opinion: starring shinee’s minho, the plot is a bit confusing at first, but it is very entertaining, with adult language and maybe violent scenes but honestly it’s very good and underrated

| Argon | (8.5/10)

themes: journalism - drama

opinion: it’s from netlix, super short (8 eps) and is so damn good, maybe the end left me a bit underwhelmed but throughout the show it was all so damn good, i like for once that the romance wasn’t the principal issue, it’s all focused on the corruption inside the media and the press, i really recommend it

| Psychokinesis | (9/10)

themes: movie - superheroe-ish comedy

opinion: it’s quite funny tbh, the whole superpowers thing was carried quite well (still a little bit too much sometimes) and the characters are loveable

| Don’t Cry Mommy | (9/10)

themes: movie - drama

opinion: honest to god this was a very good movie, amazing acting and very touching story. It’s veeery sad tho, trigger warning though there are scenes about rape, i recommend searching up the plot before watching but overall the movie is very well done, i personally don’t agree with the end but i guess it’s just my way of seeing it all

themes: musical with magic, like a korean greatest showman but mixed up

best ost: a curse of asphalt

opinion: it’s delightful to watch, the cinematography is extraordinary and i can’t even begin telling you about the music. musicals can be done terribly wrong but this is not the case, no. it was done in such a elegant and beautiful way that it’s not even dull. ji chang wook steals the spotlight in my opinion, he knows how to make you feel things and his voice oh god. i’m his biggest fan btw

opinion: not my favorite one, since i’m not a fan of shows or movies located on 1905 but the characters are memorable, the place of women is well shown (for the time right?), tho some things are lowkey questionable as well

opinion: it has so much violence and s*x scenes tbh but the animations being different in each episode it’s so cool and it only lasts 10 minutes each episode, tho i warn you about this one is super weird

opinion: i’m so sad it only lasts 2 seasons, the show is amazing and the suspense is carried on very well

themes: judaism, based on real events

opinion: if you’re jewish, is a must watch and if you’re not jewish, and even bigger must watch. It teaches so much about the role of women in the orthodox jewish communities, and it’s based on real events

themes: suspense/supernatural kinda

opinion: this show is short but so good, each story teaches that actions have consequences and that karma arrives at some moment, it may be hard to endure some parts but it’s totally worth it.

| Avenida Brazil | (8/10)

opinion: it’s from 2012 i believe but the story is super entertaining, many plot twists, very good cast and i may say very good soundtrack too lol

| Everything Sucks! | (10000/10)

opinion: just one word: A-FUCKING-MAZING!. This show was the best seriously, i couldn’t care less about the end, the whole show had it all: lgbtq+ representation (and very well done), biracial couples, healthy relationships between parents and children, beautiful friendships, character development very well done as well, it takes place on the fucking 90s which makes it even better. Please watch this one, you’re gonna love it

opinion: this one i must say at first it’s boring and a bit disappointing but it gets soooo goood, i got so immersed in the story, the acting may not be the bestest but it’s bearable, idk i ended up loving it, also i love kyoko with my whole life

opinion: ok i have to recommend this movie because it was SO good, for starters we have hayden christensen looking hot af and being the amazing actor he is, the plot twists are so well done and the whole idea is so obscure but so good, i highly recommend it

opinion: this one was very good, incredibly short (five episodes, 50 mins each), definitely entertaining, it moves smoothly but quite fast, nothing is too hard to understand. The characters are so well done, if you like those films or shows where everything is planned and goes on perfectly even when it doesn’t seem like, this is your show

opinion: it’s been so long since the last time i got so goddamn immersed with a show, i literally couldn’t stop watching it. The comedy is carried surprisingly good taking into account that it isn’t a full comedy show, the topics are well touched and acting on point. Watch it for the plot (the plot’s name is Rio btw)

| All My Friends Are Dead | (9.999/10)

opinion: alright i swear this one starts off weird but it’s actually really good, the plot twists are completely well done, characters are well defined, there’s a bit of everything too. gets sexual and quite violent as well, so keep that in mind. overall, it truly surprises you tbh, also the lack of content on tumblr saddens me since i fell for Filip

what are ur opinions on beastars in general?

ive had this ask in my inbox for a few days cuz i have so many opinions i do not know where to even begin but i guess a few of my GENERAL beastars opinions

beastars is better than zootopia and also not rly anything like zootopia can ppl stop comparing them now. we get it, you dont know anything else w furries

beastars is one of those fascinating things where u keep being reminded that the animals, tho anthropomorphic, ARE still animals, so trying to ascribe human metaphors to it doesnt ALWAYS rly work? like. they eat each other. you cant rly say thats anything.. human like.. im thinking of the ratha series by clare bell when i say this one, bc it does a similar thing where it has anthropomorphic animals experiencing very human emotions but it also keeps reminding you that they ARE animals so u cant just ascribe human morality to them and be done with it. its a much more interesting approach imo than just making them like. people in animal costumes.

also the beastars ‘metaphor’ isnt rly just A metaphor bc it feels like the authors trying to say MULTIPLE things at once w it and you can rly make a case for it saying so many different things? ive seen ppl say “i think beastars is about THIS” and its nearly always a different thing but its ALSO nearly always something that FITS (most of the time). it feels like it brings up so many different things and goes a lot of places u dont rly expect it to that it hits a lot of specific points so ppl have a lot of things they could talk abt w it

i dont rly know how i feel abt legosi like ive never been able to decide but i DO think he hits a lot of autism traits.. i just hesitate to say that bc.. his writing.. i dont even know how to describe this i hope ppl can maybe get the vibe of what im saying

another opinion: the series gets better the further along it goes lol idk if this is an unpopular opinion but legosi leaving the school setting helped further along the story a lot
