So, if you asked to write your top 5 fav charas from JJK, what genre will you put them (or you agree that they should be in shounen)....
Yuuji: Sports shonen. The worst loss he suffers is his seniors graduating. Because I'm KNB Stan I'd say basketball but I think he'd go for baseball.
Nobara: Shojo Magical girl!!! Small town girl moves to the big city and finds that the older girl she admired, Saori, is a senior magical girl fighting evil and she has chosen Nobara to continue her work and is going to train her. Fumi follows them too a few episodes later. The magical girls of the country are grouped and trained under different mentors, reporting to a higher authority (Tengen) but they're all super divided and it's up to our gang of 3 to unite these groups, fight evil and investigate further into Tengen and their suspicious motives(WHO is the Star Plasma Vessel??? Why does Tengen want the Vessel imprisoned??? How is the rogue magucal girl from the organization, Yuki Tsukumo, involved in all of this??).
This one got away from me, sorry.
Megumi: A slice of life anime with a week to week contained episode story format where Megumi's still a shikigami user but he takes up small, sweet cases where he gets to spread joy. The cursed spirits don't need to be killed, just have their negative emotions resolved so they can dissipate and become little blessings.
Gojo & Geto: Shonen Ai. Go forth you gay little fools.
Bonus because i combined Gojo and Geto;
Maki: Whatever genre Claymore is. She'd fit right in.
Junpei: Seinen, or Shonen ai. If it's seinen, it HAS to be something like Tokyo Ghoul. He's Kaneki but out of the closet. If it's shonen ai, it's probably a super angst one where Yuuji is I love with him but Junpei's very distant and he slowly comes out of his shell. I just know his tears are drawn with sparkles and in the panels he smiles it's like the sunrise. Mahito's probably, definitely his toxic ex.

F1posting is a minefield bc on footyblr when you follow a Liverpool blog, you can be confident that they will hate united, city, everton, probably most of the rest of the big 6. At most they will maybe support a team from another league or like a player from another team, but their rivalries are predictable.
Whereas in f1blr it's like people spin a wheel to get their most loved and hated ? What do you mean you're a Ferrari fan but hate Carlos? You're an ocon stan but hate? Bottas?? What do you think is each character's favorite subject in school?
tohru: not a surprise but baby girl loves home ec!! kind of has to work her butt off studying for her other classes, so she gets to enjoy herself and do something she’s naturally super good at in home ec. loves making little snacks in class for her friends and then sharing them at lunch. the sewing unit takes her fashion game to the next level. when they do a project where they take care of fake babies, she definitely ends up caring for half of the class’s infants like they’re her own. kyo is her partner and everyone teases them about it but she still has a really nice time and thinks kyo would be a great dad :’)) highest home ec grade of all time in their school
kyo: says his favorite is PE but it’s actually math. gets a 5 on the AP calc exam. tells no one but tohru, who then tells everyone and kazuma throws a party and kyo is Not Pleased. isn’t a great math tutor though because he can’t really explain how he gets his answers—he just Knows. checks tohru’s homework for her before she turns it in (read: fixes all her wrong answers when she’s not looking so he can see her huge smile when she gets a good grade back. only feels a little bit guilty). watches math tedtalks. nerd disguised as a jock

kakeru: …...i’ll be real he doesn’t like school lmao. senioritis personified. on his phone during classes constantly. laptop open playing world of warcraft or candy crush or neopets. could not tell you anything the teacher said in the last hour. doesn’t take notes because “i’ve got it all up here yun-yun…..” but doesn’t actually do half-bad on tests. only reason he does homework is because he can pretend to study with yuki while actually just flirting with him. if there’s one subject he doesn’t hate it’s history because he “thinks the fight scenes are fun” (yuki: “you mean world war 1??” “yeah it was exciting”)
uo: autoshop. hates the stereotype that just because she’s a lesbian she must like tools and machinery and automotive tech.....having said that she is a lesbian and she does like tools and machinery and automotive tech. gets a 100 on her project where she fixes a busted up motorcycle, and now she has two motorcycles. all the boys in the class call her senpai and worship the ground she walks on. smells faintly like motor oil all the time but she Absolutely makes it work
hana: creative writing. school is not her thing but she thrives in creative writing because her creativity is 100/10 and her stories are absolutely off the walls. excels in writing spooky yet also homoerotic ghost stories in particular. reads them aloud in class with the lights turned off and a flashlight illuminating her face. has made students cry out of fear. shigure beta-reads her writing. likes to subtly imply that her stories actually happened to fuck with kyo. it works
momiji: band/orchestra!! all the older students lose their minds over how well he can play. first chair violinist from day one. has a solo in every concert; tohru sits front row and films them, always cries. he’s the life of the party at Band Camp(™). even the grumpy bass clarinetists like him. doesn’t get in trouble when he talks waaaaay too much during rehearsal because the teacher loves him
haru: mr space cadet himself isn’t much of a science guy but LOVES astronomy. gets Ds on pretty much every test but he doesn’t care because his mind is expanding. buys a super nice telescope so he can look at constellations at 3 in the morning. develops very specific opinions about each planet. stans the moon. gets really into sleeping at last’s astronomy-themed album. becomes that guy whose personality is “i like space” until the class is over and then he never talks about it again
rin: art! she takes several art classes throughout high school. really loves drawing and painting, but also really likes doing ceramics projects because she likes working with her hands :’)) does a watercolor portrait for tohru as a graduation gift but gets really flustered when tohru sobs into her arms over how beautiful it is. also secretly likes doing little doodles of her and haru—he sees them once in her sketchbook and will never let her live it down
kagura: says her favorite is PE and it actually is PE. goes ham for capture the flag, tends to play too rough when capturing and gets taken out of the game. only person who is actually good at volleyball so she is constantly spiking, setting, and diving for the ball all in the same game, while the rest of her team just kind of fumbles around and tries to stay out of her way. gets first place every time they run the mile even though it’s definitely not a competition. definitely knows her mile time even though it is not a timed activity
hiro: this kid screams history nerd, but like Male History Nerd with a niche interest in military history and very specific opinions about how *insert historical figure* wasn’t actually all that bad. gets his ass handed to him in class discussions on the daily but won’t admit it. is genuinely really smart and has Better Opinions by the time he graduates, so he starts using his history nerd powers For Good as an adult—as in, arguing about inaccurate historical memes on facebook in his free time
kisa: choir. singing stresses her out, but she’s figured out that she can just mouth the words and no one can tell that she’s not actually singing! loves being in the group and hearing the beautiful music around her :’)) everyone is in awe of how cute she is in her lil choir robe. tohru comes to all of kisa’s concerts as well and films them from the front row, also while crying
machi: woodshop. gets sawdust on her clothes and loves the smell. obsessed with digging through piles of splintering and warped scrap wood. loses her damn mind when she gets to use the jigsaw. really enjoys making like…misshapen birdhouses and crooked tables, but woodshop is mostly participation grades anyway so her teacher gives her A’s on all of her grotesque wood creations. she is at peace and is One with the Wood. doesn’t wear safety goggles while chopping wood because she likes Risk
kimi: loves speech & drama. emphasis on the drama. it’s a chance to talk for a long time and everyone has to look at her and listen to her or else they’ll fail!! which is how she likes it. goes three minutes over for every speech but the teacher can’t get her to pause long enough to stop her. comes to auditions in a full professionally-made costume. knows her lines and everyone else’s
nao: AP statistics on the pre-accounting track. has known he wants to be an accountant since he was in diapers. does slightly below average in the class. still studies accounting in college because it’s too big a part of his personality to quit at this point. becomes an accountant. never quite feels fulfilled

Stuff I noticed in the OVER/5Y video because I like to over analyze anything Banri gives us and I need an outlet for it
One of the good things about IDOLiSH7′s promotions (or any of their media really) is the fact that they are FILLED with fun Easter eggs for fans of the series. Here’s everything I collected when watching and rewatching the video since it was released two days ago. There will be some slight spoilers for the main storyline though, so if you’re an Anime Only Fan please keep that in mind. A lot of these are mostly just speculation, so don’t take a lot of these to heart or consider them facts
These certainly aren’t everything. In a true IDOLiSH7 Style there’s refrences everywhere and some things were purposely left out (like how each character still has costumes from the Live Shows in it). I’m still discovering new things as I watch the video and Tumblr does have a paragraph limit so if you saw something you think I left out, feel free to add onto this post!
1. Starting off with a simple and very obvious one: Each of the Centers (Riku, Tenn, Momo and Haruka) all have an animated bit. Riku moves some clothes on a rack, Tenn opens a drawer, Momo takes a pullover off a rack and Haruka turns on a table lamp. While the actual anniversary isn’t until August, I have a feeling that they’ll be putting a lot more emphasis on the Center’s for the 5th Anniversary. It’s also worth noting that while Re:vale is a duo, when doing group photos of the Centers and Leaders, Momo is always paired with the Centers and Yuki the Leaders. The same goes for ZOOL, which actually have Duel Centers. Since Touma is also ZOOL’s Leader, he is grouped with the Leaders
2. The Logo
This is something I just recently noticed, but the logo for the OVER/5Y Promotion has a Compass Rose. IDOLiSH7 kinda has a thing for journeys, such as with WiSH VOYAGE and DiSCOVER THE FUTURE, both of which are the anime series two openings. I can’t remember if that has always been the case or if it’s a recent addition but with the Compass Rose taking up most of the logo, I’m gonna say it was always there. According to anamcaralife(.)com, the Compass Rose represents spiritual direction, awakening and discovery. Additionally, the four directions represent infinite possibility, the present, the past, and the future [X], meaning their journey isn’t done here, and there’s still many more years for us to learn, grow, laugh, love and dream with IDOLiSH7, TRIGGER, Re:vale and ZOOL. That’s probably what the “OVER” part of “OVER/5Y” means. That this series is going to live on beyond it’s 5th anniversary
3. References To Past Events
Obviously in a video for the upcoming 5th Anniversary is going to have references to past events. It’s a pretty big milestone for a series (RIP, my Stones come August). We see lots of examples of the previous campaigns CROSSINGXUS, Light Future and Non-fiction. I’m not surprised that the What Is Non-fiction reference and one of the CROSSINGXUS I found were in ZOOL’s segment since that was the first campaign they were apart of. The first CROSSINGXUS reference I found was in Nagi’s still. Part 4 (which was being released during the 4th anniversary) focused very heavily on Nagi and ZOOL so that made me happy
I also think a CROSSINGXUS reference is in Ryu’s still, but it’s blurry so I can’t really read it
4. Visual Board Tour Photograph
This one get’s it own separate point! The photograph inside the drawer Tenn pulls out is a photograph “taken” right after IDOLiSH7 gets back from their Visual Board Tour, bringing gifts for TRIGGER and Re:vale
5. 14
The number 14 is easily one the most noticeable things in Touma’s still. It’s right there by his shoulder so you can’t really miss it. 14 is a multiple of 7, math is my worst subject and even I know it. Touma’s most obvious Character Foil is Riku, and he’s also the member of IDOLiSH7 that Touma is closest too. Ever since Part 3 the main storyline has made it very clear that Riku sorta has this innate ability to draw attention to himself outside of just his cute face and bubbly personality. Small bits of evidence can be seen early on but it grows more and more as the story progresses. By the end of Part 4 it got to the point were shirts Riku wore on variety shows were being sold out within minutes of being restocked and women stopped wearing perfume with strong scents after Riku said he didn’t like it during a TV interview.
To understand why this effects Touma, we must look back at Touma’s backstory. Touma used to belong to an Idol Unit called NO_MAD. NO_MAD disbanded shortly before the series began due to TRIGGER’s rising popularity. Many of their fans became TRIGGER fans, lots of jobs that once would have gone to them went to TRG instead and Touma fully blamed the group’s decline in popularity solely on TRIGGER. When NO_MAD disbanded, Touma was full of resent and hatred for TRIGGER, enough to the point were he was easily convinced by Ryo to join ZOOL. Touma rejoined the industry with a black heart, claiming he would never sing seriously again because why did it matter if their fans would leave them for the next shiny thing? Touma’s entire ideology crumbled underneath him when meeting Riku, and remainders of his past love for singing and preforming began to shine though his bad boy persona. By the middle of Part 4 Touma had almost fully turned around. He began to see Haruka, Minami and Torao as actually groupmates, people he wanted to bring to the top with him and not some people he should at least get along with for the next 3 years. And that was all because of Riku. Whether he liked it or not, Riku was able to bring back the old Touma. I couldn’t find any numbers in any of the other Leader’s still so TouRiku Stans Come Get Your Bread
Going back to Touma and TRIGGER for a second, 14 minus 8 is six. Six is a multiple of 3. There are three members in TRIGGER. I don’t think much else needs to be said
6. Gaku’s Birthday
For some reason Torao’s still had a calendar that’s set to Gaku’s birthday (August 16th) meaning this is sign of warning that something big is coming on that day, or it’s a reference to how Torao usurped Gaku for his position as the Most Desired Embrace
And that’s all I collected so far! Again, if you saw something you think I didn’t notice or purposely left out and want to bring attention to it, feel free to add it on! Hopefully Banri never makes me do something like this again

ANIME NEWS: Tokyo Comic Con 2018 unveils key visual by Kosuke Yanagisawa
Tokyo Comic anime Convention 2018’s main key visual has been undraped, designed by Kosuke Yanagisawa, the artist behind the conception art for “Godzilla: Planet of the Monsters” and also the key visual for anime “Flea-picking Samurai.”
Also referred to as Tokyo Comic Con, it's one among the world’s largest festivals dedicated to popular culture and also the 2018 event are going to be survived November. 30-Dec. two at the Makuhari Messe convention center in Chiba.
Tokyo Comic Con could be a sister event to the first geographic area Comic Con, based by Stan Lee, creator of anime “Spider-Man” and alternative legendary comics at Marvel, WHO later became its chairman old, and Apple opposition. co-founder Steve Wozniak.

Netflix Reveals Trailer for brand new Original Anime 'Hero Mask'
Netflix continues its sturdy push into anime licensing and distribution with a spanking new anime series coming back toward the top of the year. Titled Hero Mask, the series is train up to unleash worldwide on December three.
Produced by Studio fictional character, the studio behind series like Naruto, Black trefoil, and Tokyo Ghoul, fans will get their initial check out the new series with its premiere trailer and main poster.
Anime Hero Mask can last fifteen episodes and follows a detective WHO is making an attempt to unravel a string of anime macabre crimes all involving a mysterious mask. The series is formally delineated intrinsically, "Now there is a mysterious Mask before James Blood, and also the man behind it's one that should not exist. what's the mystery close this mask...? thus begins associate action-packed crime story set during a lovely city!"
The Japanese voice anime forged for the series includes Yasuyuki Kase as James Blood, Yuko Kaida as wife Sinclair, Junpei Morita as Lennox Gallagher, Kentaro Takano as Edmond Chandler, Kouki Uchiyama as Harry Crieghton, Yuzuru Aoyama as Geffrey Connor, Takayuki Sugo as Steven Martland, Yutaka Nakano as Richard Burner, Haruka Shibuya as Monica Joseph Campbell, Tomoyuki Shimura as Fred chemist, Yūichi Karasuma as Grimm, Yukiyo Fujii as Eve golf player, and Tomoko Miyadera as Pakistani monetary unit Winehouse.Hiroyasu Aoki (No Game No Life, Hunter x Hunter 2011) are going to be leading and writing the series for fictional character with Takahisa Katagiri (FLCL Progressive) coming up with the characters, Hisaki Kato composing the music for the series, and Yuki Sonoda and Takashi Nakamura serving as art administrators.
Netflix anime has created major strides in 2018 to produce additional anime to its fans across a large kind of genres. It's very true of its original anime productions, that this year includes immense hits like Devilman Crybaby, Castlevania, and B: the start. Hero Mask looks to continue this trend of sturdy releases because the initial trailer for the series teases quite the extraordinary expertise. At the terribly least, characters appear to be properly caffeinated with its temporary occasional drinking image. With such a powerful artistic team and studio behind the series, Netflix might finish its massive anime year even as sturdy because it started.
