Tbh all of Joker Out would love this song, it feels very them, but Bojan gives vibes of a Cerati fanboy that would hear you mention Soda Stereo and would ask you to name 3 songs by them and this was probably the first song he learned how to play on the guitar. Very good song, a classic, if you haven't heard this one yet, please do

Romeo Santos - Propuesta Indecente

I'm laughing so hard at myself going from 90s latam rock to bachata but hear me out. Bojan likes to dance, bachata is a genre with a pretty intricate dance that Bojan would learn to surprise girls with at parties. Also bachata just feels very him??? and this song is iconic and it had a pretty popular meme back in the day he would still quote today

Jure:

Cuarteto de Nos - Enamorado tuyo

This is such a good vibes song, makes me happy listening to it, and I feel like Jure also likes these types of songs. Good, chill vibes

Los Enanitos Verdes - Lamento Boliviano

Another classic latam rock song, a general vibe, everyone knows the lyrics. I feel like Jure would really appreciate the drums on this one (also he would do the joke of "bolivian lament? fuck yeah, I would also lament it if I was from there" <- as a bolivian, I get him)

Kris is one of the girlies, this song is for the girlies. He would scream the chorus at the top of his lungs and would probably learn the guitar solo just to show off.

But in all seriousness, this song is so perfect for heart breaks/wanting to be angsty but make it pretty that I feel like Kris would have looped this song so much it led him to writing NGVOT, plus just imagine him vibing to it, it fits him so well

Stancy: why their probably endgame and why that’s a good thing (especially for Nancy and her character arc)

Throughout the series Nancy remains guilty for ‘murdering Barb’. While Nancy was losing her virginity, Barbra was sucked into the upside down. She completely blames herself, and whether she realizes or not, she’s always associated that guilt with Steve. We see this in different scenes, notably when she’s drunk at that party in ST2 episode 2, she yells at Steve, “You’re pretending like everything is okay. You know, like, like we didn’t kill Barb!”

She’s seen again having the same conversation, though soberly, with Jonathan in episode 3. “All this time I’ve been trying so hard to pretend like everything’s fine, but it’s not! I feel like there’s this, I don’t know this-” Nancy doesn’t finish her thought, as Jonathan does it for her, “like this weight you’re carrying around with you.” Though I think this is what she meant - weight meaning guilt - Jonathan is talking about knowing about the upside down, while I believe Nancy is speaking about that and ‘murdering Barb’.

Vecna even brings up her guilt about Barb in ST4 when Nancy is being mind controlled by him, “Do you remember what you did, Nancy?” Even then, she’s pulled out by Steve, he comforts her by saying “It’s okay, it’s okay, I'm here.”

Notice I’m talking a lot about Barb, but she’s one of the most important factors in Nancy’s arc and in Stancy’s Arc. Like I said earlier Nancy associates that guilt with Steve, so to get away from this feeling she moves to a more comfortable option, Jonathan. In ST4, as Nancy heals from the guilt of Barb, she’s also realizing her feelings for Steve.

For Stancy ‘okay’’s mean something, rites of passage.

Separation:

ST1 Episode 3: Nancy goes to her locker, the day she noticed Barb was missing. Steve shows up and immediately notices that Nancy is off, “is everything okay?”

Transition:

ST2 Episode 9: Nancy and Steve are going through items for Will, Steve tells Nancy to go with Jonathan, she says she doesn’t want to leave Mike, “No one’s leaving anyone, look I may be a pretty shitty boyfriend, but turns out i’m a damn good babysitter.” Nancy obviously feels bad and disagrees, “Steve..” “It's okay Nance.”

Reintegration:

In ST3; Flayed Billy is about to hit Nance with her car, Steve slammed his car into Billys, saving Nancy. This doesn’t go unpaid, In ST4; Nancy immediately jumps in the lake to save Steve after he gets pulled down. Even Eddie acknowledges this, “that’s love, man.”

Stancy’s continuing Reintegration, Jancy’s separation:

In ST4 Episode 8; Jonathan and Nancy are boarding up the windows on Hopper's Cabin. Jonathan notices a tense air between them and asks, “are we okay?” Nancy gives a fake smile and says “Yeah”

In ST5 we’re likely to see the success play out.

As for Jonathan…

In ST2, Jonathan and Nancy get ‘Murry’ed’. Murray iconically says, “You’re both young and attractive, and you’ve got the real shit, shared trauma.”

And genuinely Jancy has just that, shared trauma, but once you pull that away.. there’s not much there, other than chemistry seeping through from Natalia and Charlie.

In ST3, Jancy gets in an argument about their job, Jonathan doesn’t fully understand Nancy’s need to quit, while Nancy doesn’t understand Jonathan’s need to stay.

Robin and Jonathan: Foils

Robin, in ST3, calls Nancy ‘such a priss’, while high on the bathroom floor with Steve, he replies “Turns out, not really.”

Jonathan, in ST4, says he’s glad Nancy was in Hawkins, because then “who’d be in charge? Steve?” Nancy responds, “He’s actually grown up quite a bit, y’know?”

Jonathan and Robin, though in completely different ways, serve as decoy love interests. Robin by being completely unattainable by being a Lesbian. While Jonathan is a little more complicated, because he is attainable, but he’s emotionally unavailable (at least in ST4).

As for Steve, there isn’t much of an argument needed, he loves this girl and always will:

“If some other girl had given me a proper thump, before we met, would things have been…different?”

“It’s always been you.”

You’re married?

MH: Yes, I’ve been married for almost 10 years now and no, I’m telling anyone her name.

Do you like her wife? Without revealing any details about her, what is she like?

CD: She’s a pain in the ass. [laughs] But, I love her; she’s like a little sister to me.

MR: Maria’s wife is great. She’s a troublemaker like Carol here, so it’s chaos when they’re together. I don’t know how Maria and I put up with them.

CD: We aren’t that bad!

MH: You once pranked the entire studio with glitter and confetti. The confetti was easy to get up, but the mic was sparkly for 3 months!

In one interview, Carol said she writes songs about Maria [Rambeau] and vice versa. Which songs were written about who?

CD: Still Into You. It was a spur of the moment song. I had just been thinking of how we were nearing our 10 year anniversary and Maria never fails to give me butterflies, even now. So, I went to Maria [Hill] who helped me finish writing and producing. After she finished laughing at me.

MH: You were shaking like a chihuahua and you were so nervous. I should’ve taken a picture.

CD: It’s not funny, Hill. I hadn’t been that nervous since my wedding day.

MH: It was a great song, you should be thanking me.

MR: Anyway, The Shining, the 3rd song on our new album, was written for Carol. Maria’s wife actually helped me with it. She even helped compose parts of the song.

MH: She did? She never told me that.

Maria [Hill] have you written any songs about your wife?

MH: I’ve written a lot of songs about my wife, she’s my muse after all, but our recent song Trouble is about her.

Why did you name it Trouble?

MH: No real reason, I just happened to enjoy the title and like Maria [Rambeau] said she is a troublemaker.

Your 4th album Fury of the Gods is currently doing well on the charts? Trouble is number 2 and The Shining is number 4. How does that feel?

MR: It feels amazing. This isn’t our first album to do well, but so much goes into them that we appreciate everything our fans do to make them do that well.

Your 2nd tour starts soon, is it going to be international or only domestic?

CD: It’s going to be international. We’re going to start in Maria [Rambeau] and I’s home town of Louisiana and end in Maria’s hometown of Chicago.

What can fans expect from the tour? Any surprises or new music?

MH: Both. I have a big surprise planned at the end of the tour.

Could you elaborate?

MH: Nope.

MR: [laughing] You’re not going to get anything out of her. She’s like a vault.

Your fans have often stated that you 3 are lesbian icons and being in mainstream media has helped them be comfortable with themselves. How does it feel to know that?

MR: There weren’t many people who looked like me in the media, let alone were lesbians too. When I get letters from fans and or meet them, they always thank me for making them feel seen, and I realize I’m the role model I never had.

CD: When I grew up, there weren’t any lesbians to look up too, so I’m happy to be the person I never had.

MH: Like Carol said, she’s happy to the person she never had and so am I. I didn’t grow up with a supportive family, so if I can be one person’s support system, then I’ll be that.

When you hear the phrase ‘Russian Roulette’ you may think of the deadly game played with a gun; but if you’re a music fan you think of the Eastern European band. The band composed of Russian sisters Natalia ‘Natasha’ Romanoff and Yelena Belova, and Sokovian native Wanda Maximoff are signed to Avengers Inc. These 3 queer women (Natasha is a lesbian, Wanda is pansexual, and Yelena is an asexual lesbian) dropped their 3rd album Melodrama on Friday and fans are obsessed.

Band Members Wanda Maximoff and Yelena Belova are in a relationship and have been for 5 years. The couple recently got engaged. Natasha’s relationship status is unknown.

“So, Wanda, Yelena, who proposed to who?”

WM: Yelena actually proposed with an acoustic version of Everything I Wanted. This was before anyone aside from her and Natasha had heard it, so I was shocked to say the least. [laughs] I cried like a baby.

That sounds beautiful. Yelena, what was the inspiration behind the song?

YB: I had this recurring dream — it was a nightmare really — that Wanda would one day leave me. Her leaving was a thought that was always in the back of my head, especially after I came out as asexual. However, the reality was completely different. Wanda was so accepting of it and even did research to get a better understanding of what asexuality was and how to navigate our relationship. The song was an expression of how I had been feeling at the time.

Natasha, the song Cinnamon Girl is on this album. In previous interviews, you said the song would remain unreleased. What changed your mind?

NR: It felt right. I was finally ready to let it go and share it with the world.

What was the inspiration behind the song?

NR: When I wrote Cinnamon Girl, I was healing from a bad relationship that had happened 2 years prior. I had also been in a relationship for 5 months with the woman I’m currently married to. At the time, she didn't know many details of that relationship, just how it affected me, but she was so patient and loving and it was new to me. I didn't know how to express my feelings, so I wrote them in a song which she heard me playing. I opened up to her that night and a few days later, she helped me finish it.

How long have you been married?

NR: Since 2013, and that’s all I’m saying on the matter.

Natasha, Lesbian Fury singer Maria Hill recently revealed she’s married. Many fans have speculated that since you run in the same

circles, that you’re her wife. What do you have to say to that?

NR: My wife’s gonna be pissed. [laughs] However, I will say that Maria Hill would be lucky to have me as her wife.

Melodrama came out Friday and so far the top 3 favorites from fans have been Sober II, Sorry, and Love in the Dark. What are your favorites from the album?

YB: Coming Down. I rarely say this because she gets a big head about it, but Natasha is an excellent song writer and Coming Down is some of her best work. Which isn’t surprising considering she wrote it about her wife and Natalia always writes the best songs about her.

NR: That is the nicest thing you’ve said about me all week.

WM: Supercut. I just love it. And I think it’s beautiful. I’m actually the one who picked it for the album because it’s my favorite.

NR: Simple, Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince.

Can we expect a tour soon?

YB: You’ll just have to wait and see.

Your fans have talked about how you’re all so inspiring to them and how being unapologetically yourselves has helped them; what do you have to say to that?

WM: Honestly, if we can help even one person feel like themselves, then it’s worth it. I love knowing that our music and personalities help others.

YB: When I was figuring out my sexuality, Natasha was the only one who knew and even then, I was scared to tell her. She helped me come to terms with myself and if I happen to be the person that they need, then I’ll be that.

NR: Everyone needs someone and if we’re not able to reply to all the fans, or see them in person; knowing that we’re able to reach all of them is everything I’ve dreamed of.

Maria walked into her and Natasha’s house exhausted. She loved her job but it could be tiring with all the press and media. It’s even worse because she can’t be seen with Nat out in public so they haven’t been able to have much time together even though they were at the same place at the same time. She left her suitcase by the door, she’d get it later. Right now, she just wants to be with her wife while she can.

”Nat, you home?” she called out into the quiet house. Natasha was supposed to be home before she was.

“Upstairs!” Natasha called back. Maria ran up the stairs, taking two at a time. She finally got to their room and saw Natasha lying on the bed watching a movie.

“Mia!” Nat exclaimed when Maria jumped on her. “I haven’t seen you in almost 2 months, you’ll be okay.” Maria mumbled against her neck. Natasha smiled softly and ran her fingers through dark locks. “I missed you too.”

“C’mon, I have a surprise for you.” Natasha said after a few minutes. Maria sat up and allowed Nat to get up. Natasha held out her hand for Maria to take and led her to the bathroom. There was a bubble bath drawn and Maria’s favorite candle was lit. “We haven’t had any us time and I thought this would be perfect.” Natasha smiled sweetly. They took their clothes off and Maria got in first and Nat said in her lap.

“I love you. And I feel like without our jobs we don’t see each other enough, so I don’t get to say it in person as much as I want to; but I love you with all my heart.” Maria whispered to Nat. Natasha blushed, a soft smile on her face. “I love you too and I’ve been thinking…I want to announce our relationship. Our 10 year anniversary is coming up and I think it’d be perfect.” Natasha was kind of nervous about Maria’s reaction. When they decided to go to their respective bands, they made the decision to not talk about their relationship for privacy reasons. Now, they don’t really care. They have such little privacy already being celebrities, the only difference is, they’d actually be able to be seen together.

“I think we should and I have the perfect idea. Maria, Carol, and I have been working on a song and we wanted a feature on it. I think you’d be perfect for it, especially because I wrote it about you. We’re going to perform it for the first time at the end of our tour, which would give us more than enough time to get everything set. What do you say?” Maria explained. She had been thinking about this for a while and couldn’t decide how to bring up the topic to Natasha and was happy she was able to do it in person.

Natasha turned a little so she was facing Maria. “I think it’s perfect. The fans aren’t gonna know what hit them.” She smiled before giving Maria a kiss.

Tonight, they would enjoy the peace and quiet they had right now as a couple cause in 2 months, that peace and quiet would be gone.

Will Byers’ neck is tingling again. The Stranger Things writers’ room for season 5 officially kicked off in August 2022 — and the Duffer Brothers have filled in Noah Schnapp on what’s to come.

“There will definitely be another center point for Will in season 5 and I think it’s really exciting and I’m definitely so excited to see what they have in store,” Schnapp, 18, exclusively told Us Weekly while promoting his company TBH (To Be Honest).

“They won’t tell me specifics, but they were like, ‘You just wait. You will be very happy and excited. So sit tight,'” he continued. “I think the story opened and started with Will, and I think ending it with him and circling back on that is a nice way for them to wrap it up.”

Schnapp’s comments mirror what creators Matt and Ross Duffer hinted at in late summer 2022. “Will’s going to be a big part and focus, is really all I can say of season 5, in his journey,” Matt told Collider at the time. “We’re starting to see his coming of age, really. Which has been challenging for a number of reasons, some of which are supernatural. But you’re starting to see him come into his own.”

Ross added: “[It’s] setting up us coming full circle back to season 1. I think you’ll see that with a couple of the character arcs, not just with Will. But also with Steve [Joe Keery] and Nancy [Natalia Dyer], and her relationship with Jonathan [Charlie Heaton] where things are not fully resolved. The characters have maybe made steps, like in the case of Will, but that journey isn’t over yet. All of that is going to play a huge role as we try to wrap this thing up next season.”

“Will is like my baby and I kind of grew up with him,” Schnapp told Us, looking back at all he’s experienced. “I think — not even specifically with Will, but with the show — I’m just going to miss kind of that family that we’ve built and the connections on set. I’ve gone back to that place for the past 10 years now, and they’ve watched me grow up and it’s definitely going to be sad when I have to permanently say goodbye and know I’m not going to be walking back on that set. But I’m definitely going to make an effort to work on other projects with the cast and crew in the future. And I think the legacy of Stranger Things will live on forever.”

That includes his onscreen mom Joyce Byers, played by ’80s icon Winona Ryder. “It’s amazing. She’s like a mentor for me and I would definitely call her a second mother,” Schnapp gushed. “I think she’s given me great advice because she was also a child actor and [she’s] definitely always looking out for everyone on set. And she is so supportive and I’m really lucky to have her on set. She will always be welcoming and if I ever need acting tips or I’m nervous for a scene, she’ll say, ‘Come into my trailer, we can chat and figure this out together.’ She definitely helps calm my nerves and she’s a great person to work with.”

1. Natalia

Look, I know this is an insanely predictable FCO for this week but come on, there’s a reason why this won best photo on RGTV of 2016 because oh my god this is just pure perfection. Everything about this shot feels like damn royalty. Her face is just eminence. The stare just boring into the lens is iconic to me personally, it shakes me to the core whenever I see it. Alongside that, her face has just never looked better. Her eyes has so much power to it, alongside her cheekbones and the styling of her hair and hat. It just screams rich bitch relaxing in the woods. The pose is simple but with the clothes moving in the wind, it makes sense. There’s still a lot of confidence and power to the stance at least but the pose sucks you in to what is otherwise a powerful shot. Natalia was eliminated first, leaving her off at 5th, which while made me really sad, also made sense sadly. She bombed go-sees terribly (from messing up on the runway to nobody wanting to book her to her spot on the runway being given to Daria). It’s a shame that she fucked up so badly during it and showing her lack of experience because with a shot as magical as this, this would be a shoo-in to the finale.

As she was living with her parents in Indiana during the early stages of lockdown, Natalia found herself struggling with the lack of work opportunities available in her field at the time – “I figured I’d just start making clothes and selling them since I had nothing else to lose; fast forward almost three years later and it’s my full-time job.”

Now, alongside her own original designs, Natalia is selling custom pieces to Swifties (Taylor Swift fans). “Like a lot of other businesses, I was hit hard with inflation and had very little sales through the second half of 2022; I started making custom pieces for fans in December”. Knowing she’d be making her own custom outfit for Swift’s tour, Natalia documented the creative process and uploaded it to TikTok. “I was honestly looking for any sort of sale at this point because things weren’t looking great for me. Though making custom pieces for fans is “more of a one-time thing” for Natalia, she is open to making more custom outfits for people in the future, no matter the occasion. “If I had to choose another fanbase to make customs for, I’d love to do it for Harries! Harry Styles’ fans have a fun sense of style at concerts so it would be super fun to make outfits for that!”.

As previously mentioned, selling customs to Taylor Swift fans has brought exposure to Natalia’s original pieces: “My personal designs hadn’t been doing too well prior [to selling customs], so I’m okay with letting that fall behind for a couple of months as making custom orders for fans is the majority of my work right now”. This said, she is trying to find a healthy balance between the two, lowering the number of custom orders she is accepting to bring her original work back into the production mix – “I do want to make sure people remember that I’m, a fashion designer first, not just someone who will recreate other people’s looks.”

A self-proclaimed Swiftie “since the beginning”, Natalia assures to be 100% of a fan girl, which is “so fun because you get to connect with so many people who love the same music that you do which is really special”. “I’d say [Taylor Swift] is the artist I most fangirl over, but I also love Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus, who I also feel I ‘grew up’ with”, whilst as of more recently she has also become a “huge Harry Styles fan”. Though fan culture hasn’t necessarily impacted her work in terms of style, “it has definitely helped get my creative juices flowing again after being in a creative rut for a couple of months.”

According to Natalia, fashion is crucial to the music industry: “Most artists are known not just for the music they put out, but for their entire ‘artist image’ […] Clothes speak for themselves and as much as a performance can be incredibly memorable, sometimes having that ‘reveal’ moment of wearing something show-stopping can really make it 10 times more memorable for years to come”. And of course, when she thinks ‘fashion icon’ in music, Natalia thinks of Lady Gaga – “I grew up seeing her wear so many ‘controversial’ outfits and pushing the boundaries of fashion; you never knew what she’d show up in. Because I doubt he knows about Susana, so what else could he be talking about? Unless it’s him because he’s the worst father alive, but that seems too much even for this show.

-I’m sorry, but the theme music is so ANNOYING.

-Poor Sofía, she looks so done. She’s tired of Solving™ teen crimes, she’s tired of hiding, she’s tired of everyone around her lying and being a terrible person, FINALLY, the character I liked in season 1 seems to be coming back.

-...I just jinxed it didn’t I.

-Quintanilla is getting...a lot more focus, especially about being a Kind Teacher (which...what.), which furthers my REAL and slightly-more-logical theory that it’s him. As for motive? Maybe he wants to get back with Nora by Bonding™ with Sofía, maybe he wants to punish Sofía’s dad for hurting Nora via infidelity, maybe he just really hates his students, idk. Idk anything about this show ever, lmao.

i’ve been thinking about black widow and the red room recently, as one does, and i’ve got a lot of thoughts about the effects of the red room on widows who’ve escaped. couple things, just before i begin: i would recommend having watched black widow before this because there are implied (?) spoilers, i use way too fancy language while i write and i don’t have an editor cause this is mainly to catch her off guard, so, uh, whoops sorry

so yeah, enjoy my list of 10 personal headcanons about how the red room fucks you up on all the levels.

1) black widows cannot sleep in. like, they wake up at 5:00 am every day. it’s not a physical thing, at least not as far as they know, because they can negate that by just going to bed two hours or less before 5:00 am just from their lack of sleep. if, however, they go to sleep at a fairly normal hour they will, like clockwork, wake up at 5:00. this stems from them doing it every single day of their life since they got indoctrinated in the red room. if they didn’t wake up at 5:00 am ready for more training or missions, for any reason, they would be tortured. sometimes physically, sometimes mentally. eventually, all the widows would get that message. they still can’t shake it. because of that, natasha will often refuse to go to sleep at a normal hour, trying to force her body into submission, trying to rid herself of the painful memories that accompanied sleep and waking up afterwards. only clint knows why, because each day in that vent, natasha would snap up at 4:00 am. she had to explain to him that she just wasn’t accustomed to budapest time, and that actually, it was 5:00 am in russia.

2) for months after escaping the red room, widows practically cannot eat. in the red room, they were fed mushy messes of meals, filled with only the necessary nutrients that they absolutely had to have to survive. most widows can only get down one meal, maybe even a snack if they push it, until they throw it all up. they have to slowly eat slightly more each day for weeks until they can get down a normal intake of food. even then, it’s hard to push that, and every widow relapses into throwing up in those early stages. however, this isn’t normally a problem for most widows until a couple weeks into their life with freedom. that’s about the time that they make an acquaintance, who will eventually pluck up the courage to ask them why every time said friend will eat near the widow, the widow will lean over and whisper: “careful, that’s your whole ration today and i don’t want to do extra training.”

3) each “class” of widows had an extra mentor teacher in their early red room years. this was an older widow, someone who’d been falling behind in her recent missions, and with a look that the red room deemed “motherly”. their sole purpose was to be the person each widow got attached too, the parental figure. they were nice, they were helpful, they taught many different basic techniques. then, one day, the red room would have another older widow, (one already introduced to the children as the metaphorical “bad cop” of this scenario) come in and inform the mentor that she had failed her latest mission and proceed to, in front of thirty eleven year-olds, shoot the mentor. the mentor widow would not die that day- the red room refused to waste such a weapon- but the class of up incoming widows would be informed that she had. the official purpose of this exercise was to demonstrate to both the trainees and the trainer the consequences of failing a mission. the unofficial purpose? that would be the last psychological effects the mentor’s “death” would have upon the class, making them learn what happened to attachments in the red room. the day natasha’s class experienced this was the day she cut off all contact with her sister. the day yelena experiences this is the day she first another widow- because yelena killed that mentor with her own bare hands before the informant ever finished the announcement.

4) towards the start of the red room’s history, there were several attacks on the red room. the first ever attack was from a local police station who had been getting complaints of loud wailing, and, upon further investigation, realized what they were dealing with. they brought several other police and militia groups from nearby towns. the immediate action that was taken was to throw the littlest girls they had at the attackers. it stopped the police in their tracks, obviously, because you really don’t expect to come across thirty little girls while searching through a building of highly trained assassins. the red room then sent their fully trained widows and killed everyone. including the girls. the red room then found that footage from their cameras (because of fucking course they have cameras) and then showed it to the next batch of widows, just to show them how disposable they were.

5) yelena and natasha almost caused a whole fucking mutiny within the red room just because of their names. in the red room, you see, widows do not get names. they instead are bestowed with numbers, and even those are a twisted class ranking. they all wore little name tags with the numbers on them until came natasha and yelena came in. yelena, having just seen her mother get shot, complied almost immediately and was addressed as number 42. on the other side of that coin you have natasha, who had already been in the red room and remembered every gruesome detail, and went “fuck you my name is natalia.” upon hearing of this (word gets around fast in the red room. every girl must know they are being listened to at all times, and no secrets can be kept from the red room,) yelena too announced her name to the class.

6) this was met with blanching from every child in that class, because how on earth can you be called by a word? no, they thought, we are numbers, we are weapons, we are not people and we cannot have our own words, for we are not worthy. but secretly, internally, they wished for a name. slowly, they began piecing syllables together until they formed a coherent name, and for the first time in the red room’s long history, they didn’t have weapons. not anymore. they have two full classes of human little girls. the red room officials heard of this, obviously, and took to the only method they had now. violence. the classes were rid of the named girls, yet natasha and yelena were kept alive. they were kept alive to be ostracized, to be the girl the others pointed at and said “she’s the reason all my friends died.” they were kept alive so they could watch the carnage they had unwittingly caused just by saying their own names. and the worst part? well, the worst part was when the teachers accounted for those kills, and made them top of the class. yelena will never forget the day the teachers stood her and her sister up in front of all the widows-in-traning and told them what a good job they had done, how those tactics were sure to help them graduate. i mean, you’re practically a shoo-in if they rest of your class was killed by your school.

7) the red room could never fully stop the names, and so they decided to make a system, and the names would be the highest reward. they told the young, impressionable girls that while maybe outsiders such as natasha and yelena got names at birth, you had to earn them here. if you are to become a spy, you will take on the name of you very first official alias. if, instead, you become an assassin, you will take on the name of your very first official kill. of course, in reality, the widows couldn’t actually address each other with their new earned names, and instead used “team leader” or other such titles. but it became a small comfort for them, thinking of themselves in third person, with their very own names. in some small part they weren’t fully weapons anymore, no, they were people again. natasha took on the name natalia, because in her mind that life in ohio had been her first mission, even if she hadn’t known it. yelena took on yelena as well, but in her mind that little girl in ohio who was sitting in the backseat, caring only about which song they played, that girl had to have been yelena’s first true kill.

8) the names system worked well in the red room, but when you escaped it caused some serious problems. most would have to announce themselves to the russian government, saying they had been flying under the radar their whole life and never became registered. then, they’d give a non-russian name, and their whole ruse would fall apart. unfortunately, this was the least of their problems, because many a widow would someday meet a relative of their very first kill, and when they introduced themselves as the person they had killed all those years ago, the families and friends would often figure them out.

9) one of the biggest parts of the red room’s brainwashing was their little catchphrases they used. ironically, a lot of them were eerily close to boy scout mottos- “be prepared,” an iconic scout motto, versus “there is no safety, only preparedness,” the most frequently used phrase within the red room. when widows then escaped, the most small phrase could set them off. some unknowing widows even adopted little boys in their new lives, who often became boy scouts. the ensuing misery is something you can imagine yourself.

10) after clint helped natasha to escape, she immediately died her hair blond. clint asked why, of course, and she didn’t tell him. (what, you thought i’d have another cute clintasha moment? never.) this was partly because she hadn’t admitted it to herself, though, because natasha couldn’t remember her sister without remembering all the suffering that came with her.

11) when the widows were smaller, more susceptible to the conditioning, the red room would stage infiltrations. older widows, ones who were closer to retirement, would come in in different uniforms, sometimes the uniforms of UN officers or local police, sometimes different organizations, all different types. the most recent uniforms made yelena sick looking at them, because each time the older widows would pretend to be the avengers there would also be one pretending to be her sister. each time she saw the fake natasha she wanted to break that widow’s neck because that’s not how my sister tilts her head, you’re doing it all wrong. you should be doing it like this, you shouldn’t be doing it at all, i should be doing this, i know my sister. each time those exact thoughts went into her head, and each time all she really wanted was for her sister to be there, for natasha to do her little head tilt upon seeing yelena and take her hand and say “you’re safe now, i promise,” and for natasha to be telling the truth. the only problem was that deep down inside herself yelena knew that this could never actually happen while yelena was still in the red room, because while yelena was still in the red room she knew that she would look at natasha telling her she was safe and tell her in return that there was no safety, only preparedness, and then murder her sister in cold blood.

Some Science Event

Tony Stark is such an iconic character, both comically and physically in the movies/comic franchise, because of that alone he deserves so many fics. Plus, I love him LOL. Also I know that Tony doesn’t necessarily need the arc reactor to live and that he’s had it “removed” technically, but in the timeline I'm speaking of, he still has it as a necessity. As usual, GN means gender neutral.

‘I’m going to kill him’ you thought as you were on your way to kill Tony Stark. Maybe not physically. Perhaps emotionally.

To bring you up to schedule, you had been hired by your boyfriend—Tony Stark—to become his personal assistant. His recent one—Natasha Romanoff—had turned out to be an undercover spy who was also on the run from the cops. Once the secret was out, she was able to quit and stop kissing Tony’s ass.

With that, he was left without someone to do his boring work for him. Until he remembered that his gorgeous girlfriend was currently jobless—well, not yet at least—after he wouldn’t stop pestering her to become a housewife. You still remember the conversation.

“Please (Y/N)!” Tony begged you, “I’m telling you! I’m loaded, you can do whatever you want if you quit!”

You sat on the sofa, crossing your arms. Tony wouldn’t stop complaining about how your job was taking away your quality time from yourself, and him of course. Honestly, you didn’t like the idea of being dependent on your boyfriend's money, which you had noted to him. He always told you the same thing, “I’m. Literally. A. Billionaire! You don’t need to worry about money with me at all!”

“That’s not the point, Tony!” you yelled.

“Wait!” Tony realized, “You can be my new assistant! I’ll fire Natalia and then you can work for me!”

You scolded him, “You're not gonna fire her just because of me!”

“Please (Y/N)!”

Needless to say, you gave into the begging and after Natalia Rushman turned out to actually be Natasha Romanoff, you got your new job as Tony Stark’s personal assistant.

From that moment on, he used the work hierarchy to his advantage. Whether that was making you come into his lab just to cuddle or even going to various restaurants for your “meetings” with him. Other than that, you seemed to enjoy being Tony’s assistant.

He was making your job easier by not piling so much work onto you.

Until now that is.

You were at your desk taking calls for various TV programs that wanted an interview with your boyfriend, when you got a call on your actual phone.

“I’m terribly sorry, ma’am. I’m going to have to call you back a bit later.” You hung up before grabbing your actual phone from your back pocket.

Looking at the caller ID, you realized it was Natasha. Strange. She usually texts you instead.

You answered the phone, “Nat? You ok? You usually text me if you need something.”

“Hey (Y/N)! So quick question, you said Tony was supposed to be at some famous science event, right?” she asked. You hummed in agreement, “Yep! I accepted the invitation for him to attend. Why?” Natasha laughed before telling you. “Well I was simply asking…” she started, “...because he just called me for help 50 minutes ago and we just finished defeating a bad guy.” What now?

“Oh,” she added, “He’s also in the hospital right now and told me not to tell you.”

You were about to leave when you heard a gust come from his lab. Rushing downstairs to the Hall of Armor, you saw his Ironman suit landing onto the ground. Angrily, you marched up to him and went to remove his helmet. “You better start explaining, now.”

As you reached up to remove it, the entire suit had disassembled and started to put itself away. You were flabbergasted when you realized he had sent the suit home, but he was still in the hospital. As if by some cliché story prompt, your phone vibrated. You checked and saw that Natasha had given you the details of the hospital and what room he was staying in.

Huffing, you went back upstairs and grabbed the keys to the Audi.

‘I’m going to kill him.’

You had finally made it to the hospital and had been granted permission to visit his room.

As you were stomping through the hallways, you were figuring out how you were going to rip Tony apart for a) lying to you about being at the event, b) going off to fight some bad guy, and c) ending up in the hospital and leaving you worried sick.

Finding his room, you knocked before slowly entering. Inside, Tony was sitting up on the bed eating what looked like...McDonalds?

“Since when did they sell Big Macs at the cafeteria?” You asked, walking towards him. He hadn’t looked up yet. “They don’t, but I love burgers so I had to order it....” he looked up, “...to deliver...uh-oh.”

You glared at him, “Yeah uh-oh, what the hell were you thinking?! Why did you lie to me about the event? And why were you out when you told me not even a week ago that your arc reactor was malfunctioning—something about the electromagnet? But that’s besides the point! Are you insane, Tony?”

He raised his finger in question, “Don’t answer that!” you yelled. Tiredly sighing, you sat on the edge of his bed, your head in your hands.

“Why?” you asked, voice cracking, “Why did u do that? You could've gotten a serious malfunction with the reactor or something. Hell if worse came to worse, you could’ve possibly died. Did you not think about that? Why didn't you tell me?”

Great. Now Tony felt like a prick.

He put his burger on the desk nearby before scooting closer to you, well, as much as the IV tubes would let him. “Look, (Y/N). I know I should've told you, but I also knew had I told you that you weren’t gonna like me going-”

“No shit,” you interrupted, tears starting to fall down your cheeks, “Look at you!”

Tony sighed before nodding, rubbing his face. He looked like he had lost the battle more than winning it. He was sporting a black eye on his right, a single, jagged scar on his forehead along with multiple nasty bruises all over his cheeks. His body looked worse, had he not been wearing a hospital gown, you probably would’ve been full on sobbing at this point.

He looked bad.

“I know It looks bad, but baby please hear me out,” Tony grabbed your face between his hands, “I can’t promise that I won’t end up in this state again. But what I can promise you is that I wouldn’t ever lie to you. I was going to attend the science fair, honestly I was, but then I had received info from Jarvis that Ivan Vanko had escaped prison and was causing terror near the science thingy.”

You giggled, “It was a science event. Not a fair.”

Tony smiled at you before continuing, “Well, I was originally planning on just heading over to the science event once I was done with him. Till I realized he had made some allies along the way. Several at that. So I called for backup as well, but I had to hold them off in the meantime.”

“Natasha?” you asked. Tony chuckled.

“Well...her and a few other allies, or should I say some weapons from S.H.I.E.L.D? Since legally, I’ve gotten in trouble in the past for flying the suits across the area. The lawyers called it an unauthorized use of vehicles. Can you believe that? Calling my suits-”

You laughed, “Ok! I get it.”

“But in all seriousness,” Tony continued, “I really was going to go, but then the fight just...well it happened. I didn’t mean to get so caught up in things that it would mean a lie. I’m sorry for worrying you, and I'm sorry for not telling you.” He gave you a soft smooch. “Please don't be angry anymore. I'm stable. I’m ok.”

You looked into his eyes, tear dried. Smirking, you said, “I don’t know. I don’t think I believe you.”

“Oh come on!” He groaned, “I’m already in pain! You’re gonna add to that?”

You leaned closer to him before whispering, “Perhaps not, but maybe if you find a way to convince me...”

He smirked before yanking you on top of his aching body, “Oh that can be arranged, why don't we—” he then groaned before huffing, “Ow! Ow! Ow! Get off baby! Please!”

“Huh?! You’re the one who pulled me in!”
