Imagine guarding Luffy’s hat.

There is something you are one hundred percent certain of. In a life plagued with precariousness and anxiety, there is one truth you can always cling to.

And that is the fact that your captain, Monkey D. Luffy, always has your back.

No matter what situation you find yourself in, he never fails to brighten your day with a smile and defeat whatever foe you're facing.

Whether you're homesick, bored, or literally having your life threatened, he's always right by your side.

He guards each of his crew with a vigour that only he can. His warm smile brighter than a thousand suns as he celebrates yet another victory.

There is another thing you're certain of.

That your captain has one treasure more precious than any of his other objects.

His straw hat.

Given to him by the infamous Red-Haired Shanks, Luffy values that hat above all else.

Even at the cost of his own safety.

There's been countless times where you've watched in horror as Luffy was struck but managed to keep one hand firmly atop his hat.

It never got easier seeing him battle men quadruple his size and strength. Your stomach would clench with worry and you'd do your best to help battle the other opponents, but you always felt so helpless.

Watching him take on such intense foes made you feel proud of him and also concerned for his well being.

Although now that you've been sailing as a Straw Hat Crew member for months, you've come to realize that your captain can take on anything.

His hat, less so.

So, here you sit, quietly mending his hat as Luffy gapes at your handiwork.

"Awesome!" He grins, face alight with joy, "You're good at this, Y/n!"

"I'm just glad you're okay," you confess, carefully stitching away.

It's no secret how you feel about Luffy: everyone on the crew knows about your crush. And you have confidence that Luffy feels the same way.

It's in the little things he does. Always finding an excuse to hug you, explore new islands with you, and even share his food with you. And he never shares his food with anyone else.

So, it's safe to say he at least likes you.

He laughs, "You need to stop worrying so much!"

"You need to stop getting beat up!" You fire back, finishing your stitch. "Seriously, I'm starting to think you like pain."

He laughs, "I don't! But I got him in the end, Y/n! That's all that matters."

You sigh and motion for him to bow his head. He does and you gently set his hat back in its rightful place.

He grins up at you, "Thanks, Y/n! Let's go see if Sanji's done making supper!"

Luffy snatches your hand in his as soon as you drop your needle into your sewing kit. He drags you into the kitchen, using his devil fruit power to snatch up an apple.

"Sanji," he mumbles around a mouthful of fruit, "When's food gonna be ready? I'm hungry."

"Not yet," the cook shakes his head. "I need thirty more minutes."

Luffy groans loudly, leaning his head on your shoulder, "That's too long!"

"You have to wait!"

Luffy scrunches his nose in annoyance before dragging you outside again. Once there, he shoves the apple near your mouth, "Have a bite!"

You're surprised he hasn't eaten it all already. Opening your mouth, you take a large bite of the tangy goodness, humming your approval.

"Thanks," you start to mumble but he stops you mid sentence by leaning in and pressing his lips to yours.

A furious heat flushes your face at his abrupt actions.

"W-what was that for?"

He grins and swipes his tongue over his mouth, "You had juice on your lips."

You're floored, unable to respond as the kiss replays in your head. Meanwhile, he's already walking away with a giddy giggle.

You watch with bated breath as Luffy's hat goes flying.

He's fighting a particularly strong foe, having to use all his focus on the battle.

Without a second thought, you race after his treasure, determined to keep it safe for him. He's always doing so much for you, so you want to return the favour.

The other Straw Hats are occupied, no one noticing as you slip away to chase after the stray hat. A strong wind has blown it quite the distance, and you find it stuck on a tree branch.

You grab it, turning on your heel to trudge back to the main fight. But there's a problem.

A large group of marines stand in front of you, each one wearing a menacing grin.

"Look who we have here," the supposed leader comments, stepping forwards.

You instinctively hide Luffy's hat behind your back, grinning back ferociously.

"Gentlemen, what are you doing so far from the real fight?"

"Could ask you the same," he sneers. "What's that behind your back? Is it the infamous Straw Hat Luffy's straw hat?"

Your grip on the straw tightens.

"You're in charge of safeguarding it huh? Is that all you're good for?"

They laugh amongst themselves.

"I wonder if they'd kick you out if you failed the one task they gave you," he steps forward again.

"Over my dead body," you hiss, taking out your weapon after securing the hat to your belt. "If this hat is destroyed, then I have no reason to go on."

Before they can make the first move, you've taken down two of them, angered at their words and fuelled with the desire to protect Luffy's treasure.

The fight goes on too long.

Outnumbered, you take hits that knock you down and leave you bloodied and bruised. Maybe even with a few broken bones.

By now, you're on the ground, clutching the hat in your bloodied hands as a torrent of kicks fall on your back.

You took down well over half the marines but the few remaining are mad as hell and taking it out on you.

You barely register the outraged cry of your captain as he shouts, "Gum-Gum Gatling!"

The kicks stop as your attackers go flying, landing with dull thuds. They don’t get back up again.

Luffy is quick to rush to your side, “Y/n! Are you alright?!”

“Luffy,” you manage a small smile, shakily handing him his hat. “I protected your treasure.”

He doesn’t smile, in fact he looks angry.

“Idiot! You’re my treasure,” he shouts, gripping onto your shoulders, “And now you’re hurt!”

Confused, you stare up into his eyes, “But you love this hat.”

“But I love you more,” he shakes you again before screaming for Chopper to come and assess the damage done to you.

After you’re back on the ship, nicely bandaged and safe in bed, Luffy approaches you again. He seems less energetic than normal, dragging his feet as he comes to the bed.

“Thank you for protecting my hat. I’m sorry I didn’t protect you.”

“Luffy,” you gently clasp his hand, “You’ve always protected me.”

His eyes are wet with tears, “But-“

“I couldn’t ask for a better captain,” you reiterate, pulling him closer. “You’re all I could hope for.”

“Really?”

“Honest,” you smile, “Now come here.”

You drag him into your arms, wincing slightly. He is cautious of your injuries, gently returning your hug.

“Thank you.”

Zhongli, Xiao, Wanderer x gn!reader II romance, fluff!!

Notes: Xiao’s is really long but I just couldn’t help it!! I need the Xiao stans to rise up cause I don’t know anyone else who likes him :(

No one in Liyue Harbor is new to the sight of the refined and composed Zhongli walking arm in arm with his pretty little lover—he totes you along everywhere, the koi pools, the various shops in the square, the boat docks. You two take multiple daily walks together; one in the morning, one (or two) in the afternoon, and one at night. This routine of yours was Zhongli’s idea—“My dear, every moment I spend with you is a blessing.” he said, taking one of your hands and bringing it up to his lips to place a soft, purposeful kiss to your knuckles, “If you’d allow it, it would be the most gracious gift for you to join me on a few strolls throughout the day. So that I may be selfish and have more of you.”. This, of course, exemplifies his love language of quality time. You’d think Zhongli, who has lived though so many moments, experienced so much time, would no longer see the value in the seconds of a ticking clock. He’s had thousands of years to experience anything he wanted, a mere ten minute walk is a speck of dust in the utter expanse of his lifetime. But a ten minute walk by your side? He would give absolutely anything to experience it; mora, hours of labor, his right hand, anything. And he has the privilege of it every day for free. All because you’re gracious enough to bless him with your love—he feels like the luckiest man to ever traverse the plain. Every moment with you is truly precious to him; every word uttered from your mouth, every touch to his arm or shoulder or face, even every sip you take from the tea he brewed for you—just watching you enjoy the treat during your teatime fulfills him like nothing else ever has. Your existence may be one one-millionth of his lifetime, but every second you exist in the world is a second Zhongli desperately holds to his heart. You brighten his entire life, you are a glimmer of starlight in miles upon miles of the dark volume of the sky. He will treasure you for absolutely every moment he gets to.

Xiao is, respectfully, an idiot when it comes to expressing affection. He’s new to physical touch, so he rarely reaches for you, uncomfortable with the new feeling and worried about hurting you or drawing your anger somehow. The most you’ll get out of him, on a good day, is maybe sitting between his legs during a cold night. And I mean cold. You’d better be shivering. You might even be able to coerce him to wrap his arms around you if you really play up how cold you are. He also isn’t sure exactly what gifts humans like—he’ll regularly bring you qingxins because you expressed your favor for him, but other than that, he’s pretty lost. Like a bird, any shiny or colorful thing he finds while he makes his rounds around Liyue, he’ll bring back for you. You have a collection of various colored feathers, buttons, even some crystals! He’s also just horrible at expressing his feelings though words. He’s not used to feeling these things for another person, so how the hell is he supposed to convey their meaning when he can’t even interpret it? And he really doesn’t have a lot of time for dates and dinners when he’s busy protecting Liyue most of his days and nights. Of course, he’ll set aside some time for you—he can’t ever stay away from you for long, and if you call his name he’ll be at your side in a second, but it’s not really the surefire way for him to assert how he feels about you. That leaves only one more love language, one he is actually proficient at, rather than just trying his best. Acts of service. He has spent his entire life in service to Liyue, and now that you’ve entered his life and become something just as precious to him, he’ll do absolutely anything and everything for you. Especially when it comes to your protection. He personally escorts you anywhere you need to go; to work (though he doesn’t understand why you must put yourself through labor?), to the market (though the crowds make him nervous, it panics him much more so to think of you bearing a sea of potential predators alone), on your walks through the beautiful groves and mountains of Liyue, anywhere you’d otherwise be alone. If he can’t be with you during these times, he entrusts you to Morax and only Morax. Though he hates asking the archon he serves (or used to serve…) such a favor, he’ll do it in a heartbeat if it ensures your safety. You don’t mind it either, Zhongli is a wonderful companion. If there’s anything you need, Xiao does not hesitate to fetch it for you. You need to go to the market for eggs? No need, without you even asking he’s brought back at least twenty from the roof of Wangshu in. You need Cor Lapis but have trouble mining it yourself? Consider it done. And don’t even get me started on if you need assistance in a fight—you’ve never even seen an enemy because no matter where you go, Xiao was already a mile ahead of you, taking out any camp or gang of unsavory characters.

Not only does he ensure you’re safety while you’re outside in broad daylight, but he watches over you every night while you sleep without fail—he never wants to leave your side when you’re in such a vulnerable position. If you play your cards right, you can even get him to cuddle with you, despite his reservations about how being under the covers will delay the time it takes for him to grab his weapon, should danger find its way into the room. “Isn’t it more prudent for your arms to be around me, that way your body is shielding me from any outside threat?” you say, such a cute pleading look on your face. He can’t argue with that one, so you get your way—having substantial cuddle time with your lover. In this way, acts of service enables physical touch! Oh how he’s such a fool for you. And, though he’ll never admit it…he loves the way holding you feels. You’re warm—like his own personal sun, and you smell so wonderful—he unconsciously buries his face in your hair or your neck, just to get a little bit more of your sweet scent. And…you’re so soft; he loves the way his hands feel pressed against your torso or gently rubbing up and down your arm. You hands too…they’re so soft and delicate, he finds himself holding and massaging them after you’ve long fallen asleep. There is no limit when it comes to what Xiao will do to keep you safe and happy, you come first to anything—you have his heart, and with it, you have him. Absolutely all of him.

Wanderer, like Xiao, has absolutely no experience in the romance department, let alone the intimate relationship department at all. His friend group consists of exclusively Nahida and the Aranara. And Nahida can read his thoughts (if he lets her). So there’s not a lot of expressing his affection for others that goes on in his life. Now you’re his…lover? His…confidant? His…absolute only person he will ever give his heart to and it’s a miracle you even got it but now that you have it he has no idea what to do but he loves you so deeply that it makes his soul ache? Yeah that’s about right. He tries to express how he feels through words, but they come out wrong, and he usually masks them with a taunting remark. He tries to be physically affectionate, but he’s so terrified of rejection, he can only bring himself to hover-hand your shoulder at most. The physical affection responsibility falls to you and you alone. So it’s up to you to give him hugs and kisses and all of the relationshipy things! He acts like he doesn’t love it, but the redness of his cheeks betrays him. His favorite is when you get really excited about something, and you suddenly grab him and mash his cheek against yours in a hug around the shoulders—bouncing and planting a kiss on his face. He goes completely silent and complacent, red in the face as he softly reaches to hug around your waist and hold you as you squeal and celebrate. He feels weird doing acts of service for you; it’s not that he doesn’t want to. If you ask him, he’ll do anything for you in a heartbeat (though he may complain). But he’s scared to do something without you explicitly telling him to—worried he’ll mess up and draw your anger or resentment. He won’t admit it, but he does enjoy your company, though he’s nervous to ask it of you. Anytime you spend by his side is a remedy for his lonely soul—engaging in idle conversation or walking the forest together, he’ll take absolutely all of it, though he may lie and say you bug him. Though if you try to leave, he’ll physically get in your way with a “but now that you’ve already spoiled my afternoon, you might as well stay.”. The love language he is most comfortable expressing, the one that leaves the least amount of fear in his chest at the notion of being rejected, is surprisingly, gift-giving! Any little trinket that makes him think of you is collected in a heartbeat. He’ll pick flowers, fruits, even leaves if it might be even be remotely enjoyable to you. He knows you love Zaytun peaches, so nearly every time you two go on a date or otherwise meet up, he’s brought you a crateful of them. He always has to help you carry them to your house, which is a sneaky way to get to spend more time with you! He always excuses it away with “I just picked too many for myself while I was out.” Sure. Remind me, didn’t you say you loathed anything sweet? Oh, you don’t? Right. When he finds himself in the marketplace, any hair pin, bracelet, necklace or fabric he thinks will look pretty on you, he’ll purchase with a pout on his face and a bashful look away from the cashier. He just can’t resist the desire to see you wearing something so beautiful…something that frames your natural beauty…something that came from him. When you do wear something he gave you, he can barely stand to look at you for more than a few moments, nervous you’ll hear his artificial heart thundering in his chest. Though, when you’re distracted, he can’t help but stare at you with the most puppy-eyed, loving gaze…you really are so lovely. Wearing something he picked for you makes him feel like your his—like you’re pridefully adorning a mark that tells the world you belong to him. You make him finally feel secure that someone loves him…that someone is proud to be with him and feels grateful for him. You’re a grounding force in the complicated labyrinth that has been his life. You represent new hope for him…hope for stability and love that lasts.

one of my favourite things about rp is weaving interconnected stories, and what we've all developed is a prime example of exactly why. i feel so deeply invested in our plotting because it's so rich and expansive and thoughtful, because the arc of it is so satisfying, because you both bring such insightful takes on your muses every time. it feels like taking this medium to its extreme, and i'm always pushed to do my best writing with you.

(1/2) ok so i’ve read tkof like five times now & i just wanna say,,,, you madam are a true gift honestly like the characterization of each character is on point & not just jeronica but like even reggie and barchie!! the banters between characters are v v well executed

not to mention your prose, the sentence structures??? holy i adore how you switch between hard hitting one liners (“it’s like waking up in the middle of falling in love with veronica lodge” excuse you???? or “i can’t come back from you” like maAM WHO HURT U) to long, verbal tangents that go from 0 to 100 real quick (jughead going off on toni about how veronica is much more than her looks??? like get outta here!!!) it makes the whole rollercoaster reading ride that much more exciting!!

(2/2) also the little details aka imagery and metaphors in between their actual thoughts?? you write so freaking well that i can literally see the fic play in my head as i read & i can actually hear these people say the words you wrote (again on point characterization!!!) anyways i just wanna say i consider you a jeronica treasure and anyone contesting that will just have to talk to a wall

I don't even know where to start! actually, yeah I do - the fact that you've read this moody 110k mess multiple times is legit incredible and I appreciate it so much. Fanfic is so weird because you're really just out here writing this random thing no one asked for and posting it into the void, but realizing people are actually out there coming back to it and thinking about it outside of you? never not wild. my heart.

re: characterizations, for the longest time I thought people were lying to me about getting their characters right because I feel like they're galaxies apart from the gifs I see of canon, but I've come to realize it's more about getting their potential right, I think? Like what they could've been based on their earlier seasons/introductions? Maybe? lololol in any case, I'm so glad they ring true to you! I can't really speak for canon-compliance, but I try to stay true to my own canon at least.

I'm dying at the fact that you brought up sentence structure because I actually feel like I'm sort of stupidly aware of this when I write, like I prioritize rhythm over content sometimes, and I've been wondering whether my actual writing suffers because of it so hearing that it's packing a punch for you and actually having an effect is super validating! It's funny how everyone has different things driving their writing style, and one of mine is DEF the rhythm the words read back with (which is usually why editing takes me so long 'cause I have to blank out and read it over like it's the first time).

ANYWAY, you didn't ask for this dissertation on how I write so I'll shut up, but thank you so, so much for taking the time out to send me this! Brightened up this shockingly stormy California day. <3

there's nowhere in the universe that isn't made better by your existence and my day is brightened by being able to just pass by you fleetingly, or maybe not at all but just the specter of you being there, and know that you're still kicking it. the sun rises for you and the stars shine for you and you will feel genuinely happy one day and it will be the most odd thing to you but it will pulse in your chest and fill you with warmth and maybe you'll even cry. and it may be a quiet ordeal or you may tell all your friends but the heavy task of pushing through each day gets so much easier and there's another side to the hill even if it isn't perfect and even if you have to cover your hands with dirt and grit your teeth and carve your own happiness out of the earth and i never have the words to say it nor do i always have the energy but your existence is treasured by me and it always will be.

The reason behind it is, the early morning (some hours before you dropped the comment) got very bad for me. Some silly thing here in Tumblr that brought me down on the dumps. I don’t know if you saw it, but there was a week I was like…grey? Like not answering with my usual bubbliness. It was because of what happened, I was trying to contain myself (long story short, some people out of fandom found me via another post, and started making fun of my bubbly and toddler-like attitude when I reply to some posts OTL So I felt embarrassed and observed, like people were clicking my username just to spy and see what I was doing and what else I said hnngnhg).

So yeah, that and another little but diverse things made (have made) of the past 2 weeks sort of messy and miserable in a funny way, hahaha, you know, like the little things such as you’ve got soap on your hands and water runs out, etc. Nothing serious, but it still didn’t help OTL

NA Mood Lifting Scents

Hey y'all! I've actually been working on this idea for a while, and it's a little unusual, but I figured I can't be the only one who goes through struggles, and so for this I've asked for a few contributions from my fellow Nocturne Alchemy fans in the House of Nocturne Alchemy Tent (also affectionately known as the Tent, and my family!). I want to say straight away, I'm not a doctor of any kind, and I'm not here to tell you what will definitively make you feel better, but merely make some suggestions for you to try, if you struggle with similar issues. Also, I offer big, gentle, e-hugs.

I struggle. I struggle a lot with mental issues - they even keep me from writing, which is my joy, truly. Y'all probably noticed it took me quite a while to get back to this blog after dear Laura passed. And it wasn't just that, although I did have a hard time moving past it, and I'm still not fully over it. I miss her dearly. But shortly after that, I started spiraling into a rather deep depression, which combined with my anxiety and PTSD, and all the junk life was throwing at me, seemed to go on for quite a while. I'm slowly climbing my way out of the pit now, but it's not easy.

And honestly, when I'm struggling with these issues, there's not much that gives me ease. Scent is truly one of those things, and for me, music. It gives me the ability to take some deep breaths and get out of my own head, and tell myself, I'm OKAY. It's going to be okay.

So, all that said, I thought I might offer up some ideas, and I asked others what soothes them.

The biggest point to make, though, I think, is that scent, and what makes us feel better in scent, is intensely personal, and varies so widely from person to person. My aromatherapist friend, Rain, says that a lot of folks associate pine with Christmas (or Yule), and for her pine is death - she's literally severely allergic to it, and so for her Christmas is scotch tape and paper and MINT. So that's a great example of how personal scent actually is. Therefore, I'm going to reiterate that these are merely suggestions.

Now that I've beleaguered that point, I'll give you a list of notes that I love and then some particular suggestions, both from me, and my NA Tent family!

What started all of this, for me, was in the fall of 2015, Nocturne Alchemy had their Halloween Part 1 release, and sent out samples of Bastet Halloween 2016. This was actually part of the permanent catalogue (PC), at that time in the VA section under the All Hallows' Eve heading. Every year they put out a Halloween perfume in the PC for the following year, so it's always available, and that year they put out a matching pair, so both Bastet and Anubis were released, and the sample I got was instantly loved, and upgraded to a full bottle. It's become such a comfort scent to me, and has pulled me through some very dark days. I realized that I found myself reaching for it constantly when I was at my lowest points.

Notes that I really love when I'm down or anxious are sandalwood, frankincense, copal. So resins, they feel like a nice warm hug. I find the NA oudh absolutely sublime for this, too. And there's something very comforting about Nocturne Alchemy's ambers, too. That kind of falls in between two categories for me, as I also like fresh, clean scents, or herbal scents, and the ambers can be very fresh, and also resinous. I love sage, chamomile, patchouli, citrus, and occasionally lavender from the fresh/herbal/medicinal/clean category. Citrus can be such an uplifting note (or notes!) when you need your day brightened. I also find NA nag champa,or incense heavy blends, soothing.

But a lot of times it's sort of a gut instinct/strong scent memory that makes you feel like you're wearing scent armor. Rain mentioned that she loves her Eternal Ankh Anniversary during such times.

So a little list of possible scent suggestions.

From the SLs, Hessonite, Ember, Santal Ombre, Patchouli Ombre, Santalum, Pyramid Santalum, Frankincense Ombre, and even the new Oud Ombre. Eternal Ankh Anniversary, Eternal Egypt Anniversary are others to consider, if you find vanillas to be your "blanket" you might like Crystal, Crystalline, Kobalt, etcetera from that line. I really love the OP line, it gives me a boost of confidence and the incense is incredibly settling for me, particularly OP Baba, because of the nag champa and black musk - musks are a power scent type for me. I forgot to mention I like myrrh also as a comforting resin, so definitely Myrrh Ombre, one of my first purchases!

From the PCs, I cannot recommend the OM NAs enough. Temple NA, Eternity, and Balance in particular, although I should really try Khet, as it sounds lovely. Gabriel from the 7 section has both frankincense and myrrh. I like to layer Raphael, as I find it clean and fresh, with Santalum. The Royal Amber section is a veritable treasure trove of comfort scents, particularly Bastet Amber, Sekhmet Amber, Thoth Amber, Temple Amber, and Sky Amber. I'm wanting to add Priestess Amber to my collection, as all of the sandalwoods and amber sound like an amazing combination and I've been lucky enough to smell Rain's bottle and fallen in love. I have a full bottle of Black Frankincense from the Desecrated Tomb section that I find absolutely heavenly, and it layers well with so many SLs - and the Prehistoric collection, too, for that matter, but that's for my LC suggestion list. There's also a veritable treasure trove in the Eternals, but I will say for me the biggest one is Eternal Egypt. It's become just such a signature scent for me. I

Another set of oils to consider are the NA Purpose Oils, which can be found offsite at The Blackest Rose. I have Protection, and I find it absolutely fantastic, but I really want to get Strength and Guidance.

Now, there's also several LC (limited, seasonal collections) perfumes that I absolutely adore for these purposes, which have been occasionally brought back as Resurgence, but you could put out an "ISO" (in search of) in the NAVA Marketplace or Indie Perfume Lovers groups on Facebook. For me Horus Haven 2 is a warm hug of a scent. I also really love Polter-Guests, it's got that herbal/clean thing going on. And I always, always reach for my Holiday Egyptian Frankincense for layering. There's a whole treasure trove in the Prehistorics, Pteranodon is fantastic for adding sandalwood to any perfume, and of course I love Cryolophosaurus for the patch and amber. Camarasaurus from last year has become a huge favorite of mine, because copal just makes me feel like myself again. I'm going to go ahead and mention NA oudh, the Icons. I find their oudh to be so gloriously beautiful, and the ones I own are Egyptian Temple Oudh, Labyrinth, and of course my beloved Copal Oudh. Phantasm Kiss from the 2016 Halloween release is so good, I bought 2 bottles of it, and I wear it alone and layered with other perfumes to boost my spirits. There was a series of Dream Bottles that came out with the winter collection the year I started collecting NA, and it taught me that I could, indeed, wear and love lavender, so I'll mention the Blue Egypt and Dead Can Sleep Dream Bottles. There was a sandalwood as well, which I totally regret not nabbing! But although those were pretty exclusive and hard to find, you can still find the original Dead Can Sleep and Blue Egypt in the PC section.

I'm going to close this by giving you various suggestions from my Tent family. But I also wrote and asked if the NA crew had any suggestions for you, and Freja said she would recommend OM NA: Balance, Crystalline, and the Purpose Oil: Inner Love (which is also one of my friend Rain's favorites!). Suggestions from fans include Lavender Santalum, Pink Grapefruit Frankincense, Moonstone, Holiday Egyptian Sandalwood, Myrrh and White Amber from the LC Holiday 2017 Collection, OP Set (huuuuge fan of OP Set so I second this motion!), Santalum, OM NA Eternity, Orange and Sandalwood Vanilla which is an LC Holiday scent and SO comforting!...from my lovely friend Heather - Santal Ombre, Ember, Pteranodon, Protection, Speaking with Spirits! So, some great suggestions there, and definitely worth hunting down, I particularly had forgotten about Speaking With Spirits, and would add from that same LC Halloween 2017 collection, when I'm really struggling with sleeping, Sleep Elixir is absolutely divine. I can't wear it without falling asleep in minutes.

So, really there's a wide range of possibilities here, but just know, whatever makes you feel most comforted in a scent will really help you when you feel down. I forgot something that I should have mentioned, I also like peppermint for uplifting, and two LCs I absolutely adore are Victorian Candy Cane Crystalline and Bastet's Pink Snow.
