this is all my thoughts from as im listening to it, btw

reading wikis again, and the warriors thing is just such a mood, and idk if the creators understand dnd stats properly, or if he jus sucks that much at living, but negative stats are not possible. like players usually cant get below a 3. and -4 means he has like -7 con, so he has 1 hit points at first level, which is really pathetic. yes im going to nerd about this. (i think its super funny bc, like sure w a 19 for wisdom he probably wouldnt fail wis saves, but on the off chance that he did, viscious mockery, a bard cantrip, will knock him out no matter what, and if it rolls i think a 3 or 4 it completely kills him. he could be killed by a single insult.)

again, the stats are SO EXTREME. not as bad as sydney. he could feasibly weild a weapon (strenghth or dex if finesse i think) he has reasonable con which is good bc wizards have absolutely no health. idk whats up with his wisdom (ive heard it described as 'street smarts' and int as 'book smarts' but i think it kinda goes hand in hand with rizz for interactions, bc its used for like insight, which is kinda important to talk to people.) (thats actually something id say maybe doesnt work well with sydneys high wis. so far it seems like, while he is quite observant, hes not always super great at reading the room, or at least thats what ive gathered)

also idk about the charisma bc so far jedidiah seems a bit more put together in the persuasion/deception/intimidation area of things.

they both rarely do their actual work, and have someone they care about who has a (maybe) irrational fear of something they cant understand

General Thoughts

OKAY SO! Damn, what an episode. Really delved into Ford’s issues there 👀 got some bits of Sterling (cannot wait to see more of him ngl. he’s seems like the devil on Ford’s shoulder) Hardison and Eliot duo was iconic. Just two dudes trying to heist but panic horribly together lol. Parker was absolutely adorable (no notes, just me). It will be interesting to see how Sophie and Ford’s dynamic continues throughout this season bc they are in a rough patch 🤧 But I have high hopes

Doctor Who: The Church on Ruby Road Review- A Nice Big Plate of WTF?

So… I have… questions? Many of them aren’t even things I can express in words- they’re just helpless looks of confusion happening in my head and a general, non-specific yearning for answers. I’m not saying I disliked The Church on Ruby Road. I’m not saying I liked it, either. I’m saying that it’s so bafflingly other that I’m not 100% sure how to process my feelings about it. Consequently, this is going to be quite a short review. I mean, when Wild Blue Yonder and The Giggle blew me away, I knew exactly what it was I was enjoying and why. When The Star Beast disappointed, I knew exactly why it disappointed me (it felt like a first draft). I don’t even know what emotions I experienced while watching The Church on Ruby Road or if those emotions even have names, so it’s kind of difficult to talk about.

Okay, let’s start with something easy. I like Ncuti Gatwa’s take on the Doctor. That’s something I’m certain about. He’s breezy and bright and- occasionally- a tiny bit bitchy. I think he’s going to be an interesting addition to the line-up. Also, I think it’s really cool and progressive that he’s the first Doctor… WITH A MOUSTACHE! So yeah, he’s a perfectly fine actor for the role. I could have done with a slightly stronger, more sure-footed introduction- something like Ecclestone’s “Run!” or David Tenant just straight up grabbing a Sycorax energy-whip by the business end and yanking it away… but I get that he’s meant to be the fun, easy-going Doctor and I accept that his intro has to suit the character, which means a gradual, laid-back sort of interweaving. So yes: nice work on establishing Fifteen, Ruby Road.

But then there’s the goblins in flying wooden boats. Doctor Who had goblins now, and that’s fine… but they’re never really explained. We’re told they can surf the waves of time, but we’re never told where they came from. Are they just on Earth all the time? Have they always been here? Are they from space? Another dimension? We’re just kind of asked to accept them and the fact that they regularly abduct and eat babies (yet this has somehow never come up before). I mean, I’m okay with goblins, but I’m not sure how I feel about inadequately-explained goblins in a sci-fi show. Doctor Who has every right to be extremely silly- it’s practically in the charter- but there’s a razor-thin line between ‘silly’ and ‘stupid’ and I’m not sure which side of the divide big-eyed mischievous goblins in flying boats fall on. Especially when they start singing.

Ah, yes. Maybe I should have led with that. The goblins sing. And I don’t mean unearthly, alien singing of the kind befitting their essentially inhuman nature, nor even the type of shanties that would match their outfits and flying, old-fashioned sailing ship. No, no. They sing a full-on, carefully-orchestrated and choreographed, extremely catchy pop song… about eating babies. It’s fucking mental. I mean, it’s obviously meant to be funny and it made me laugh… but I’m not sure I was laughing at the intended joke or if I was just having a breakdown in response to seeing something so fucking inexplicable. I mean, when the Celestial Toymaker interrupted The Giggle for a musical number, it made sense. The Toymaker was characterised in such a way that murdering people to music perfectly fitted his character- he’s bloody psychotic. But with the goblins it just comes completely out of left-field.

I thought the overarching themes of family being about more than blood and people forming intricate webs of connection that depend more on love than superficial genetic ties were pretty solid and universal. On the other hand, making new companion Ruby Sunday such an enmeshed part of an adopted family meant her personality didn’t get much chance to come through properly, despite her more-than-ample screen-time. She always felt like a part of something larger- particularly with the fairly extravagant and entertaining personalities of her other family members (one in particular).

I think what’s weird about this episode is that it’s meant to be the start of a soft-reboot with the potential to draw in new fans, yet if you’re not familiar with Doctor Who already, it presents a bit of misleading picture of what the show is. It centres mythic and magical creatures over the show’s more standard cosmic and alien fare or scientific-disaster-style stories, while previous events are referenced with little or no context. As a long-time Who fan (who even forced myself to watch the execrable Chibnall/Whitaker episodes necessary for an appreciation of the plot), I understood what was being alluded to and also knew to make allowances for this being a daft, knock-about Christmas episode that won’t be typical of the season to come. But new fans? They’re likely to be completely bloody lost.

All things considered, I quite liked The Church on Ruby Road- it’s a bit of fun and it’s a reasonably good palette cleanser after the heavier themes of the previous two specials. Plus, it’s just nice to see a new Doctor in action and know he’s going to be good in the role. Does it set out to do what it was meant to do, though (i.e. set out the stall for new Whovians and provide a real flavour of the show? Erm. No. And, however enjoyable it might be overall, its more confusing elements do make me worry about showrunner Russel T. Davies’ mental state. At least we only have to wait until spring to find out just how mad he’s gone.

Bucky and I have sleepovers and cuddle sessions almost every night and besides that he speaks to me. He talks about the 40s all day long. It's cute. He started trying to catch up with the movies, books, music and fashion. We spend a lot of time together now and it's great. We cook together every day, we have weekly movie nights and weekends are for therapy sessions with each other, which, idk how much it helps him other then getting things off his chest.

Steve is still gone. He hasn't called me in 3 weeks now. I text him everyday and he replies maybe once a week or only if it's something about his buddy.

"Hey y/n! Tell me you don't have plans for tonight pls pls!"

"Haha . I don't but why?"

"I wanna watch Ice age! Really really bad and i know it s not Friday yet but please please please can we watch it?"

He's adorable. No wait. I can't think that. I have a boyfriend.

So i texted him i still haven't gotten any reply. Just seen. It hurts. Because i don't know what's happening. Why he acts this way. Idk if i did something to upset him or of he just lost interest. Maybe there's someone else...."

I didn't even realize I'm crying until he wiped off some tears off my cheeks.

"I know Steve. He wouldn't cheat on you, ok? And I've seen you with him. You take care off him and I've seen the way you look at him. You're beautiful and kind, you're sweet and caring and you put up with both of us which is just wow. My point is he has no reason to lose interest in you. He works a lot and it's a very stressful job so maybe he s distance come from not wanting to take it out on you. Talk to him. I'm sure he will explain everything." He hugs me.

Damn, so I guess giles and Jenny are over. Feel bad for Giles, he and buffy are so alone, it's sad. They share the same fate.

What happened to angel?

So, phew this episode, this was intense. I loved this one, it's like we are now continually picking pace. Giles dark past, honestly not that dark, I thought it's gonna be more darker and intense. Still, kinda wish we had more scenes of his past.

Whatever that monster was, wygon(?) I think, is inside angel or dead, I didn't quite understand that part. That was a smart move from willow.

Oh and Jenny and giles seem to be over, yeah it's sad but who can blame her, you can't be part of giles and Buffy's life unless you're part of the supernatural world, it's sad but it is what it is. Hopefully he will find someone someday. It has to get so lonely. It's honestly a sad life, minus saving the whole world thingy.

I guess that's it, loved the episode, it was interesting, especially giles past, I still wish we had more angel, as much as I love the chemistry between buffy and him, I can't exactly ship them when he's barely in the show. No spike or drusilla in this episode, no vampires. Also, no OZ, can we have him back.

Oh btw, fuck you Ethan.

**2 hours later of discussing random topics**

L: "Wait--how did we get to the subject of why pink is not part of the rainbow? Why did we even start talking in the first place?"

L: "Oh...right........." *flashbacks slowly start coming back*

R: "-All mattress stores are money laundering schemes. Discuss."

L: "Oh my gawd. Yes. Did you know that--"

*Iggy and Wendy outside the door*

W: "See, I told you they'd make up in under a week."

I: "*sigh*" *Hands her $20*

I: "Are they talking about money laundering schemes?"

W: "I think so? I bet $50 one of them brings Arby's into this."

Welcome to 4 Braincell au Hikari’s Chapter 5

The Chapter Begins with Hikari looking over at the Resting Grounds of Ku’s Warriors. A mirror to what Hikari was first doing when he was 18.

(Ritsu: Ready?

Hikari: Hah. I would say yes but that would be a lie.)

Everyone is getting ready for the final battle ahead of them and we get the scene where Ku’s citizens are willing to fight by Hikari’s side to overthrow Mugen. We also get the scene where Benkei is shown to be alive and a scene where Ritsu semi-lightly punches Kazan from keeping this a secret from all of them

This is also the moment when Hikari looks around and realizes Rai Mei is missing to which Kazan only cryptically says that it’s all part of the plan.

(Hikari: …Alright. If you say so Kazan.

Kazan: Do you still doubt the idea that we would not abandon you when the time comes to fight? My Prince, I hope you didn’t forget our scuffle in Stormhail.

Hikari: No no. I didn’t. I just need to clear my head a bit and remind myself of that.)

Ritsu, Hikari, and Kazan all then discuss the plan on how to get through the walls of Ku and the answer Kazan provided is met with Hikari having flat surprise while Ritsu is giving the biggest “WTF” look ever. Hikari and Ritsu both trust Kazan but you know it makes sense that skepticism that attacking the front gates and making a sandstorm.

Jokes on you Ritsu it works. He can control the winds without magic. Stop glaring, you’re just mad you don’t have that good of control on your wind magic and it took Kazan zero magic to do this.

Immediately when the storm clears they all rush through as in canon.

And just like in canon, when Hikari strikes the bell, Clan Mei comes out of hiding and strikes Mugen’s forces.

The thing that changes is that Hikari, Ritsu, Rai Mei, and Kazan canonically all go inside the Castle to defeat Mugen. Extra bonus points if you go and put them all into your party because that would be very good story telling and very satisfying to watch.

We get one less boss in the boss rush because that’s fair. Benkei is busy beating the hell out of Ageha and it’s great.

The moment they all reach the throne room the confrontation happens. Mugen probably tries to dramatically reveal that Kazan was the reason why Ku fell in the first place and. And Hikari, Ritsu, Rai Mei, and Kazan just stand there because. Because that’s been revealed months ago. They talked through that months ago.

The funny version to stop Mugen from talking is Ritsu just throwing a rock at the man and saying he’s an asshole. The more serious and likely version of events is Hikari stepping forward and saying something about how he knew about that long ago and that he chooses to put his trust in Kazan despite everything. Today, he fights for his friends and for peace.

We then cut to “In Pursuit of Kingship” music and cut to “Journey for the Dawn” music in the boss fight against Mugen.

First phase of Mugen is then down and we then get the lovely show of Hikari’s Shadow possessing him. Immediately we have the friend’s take notice and grow concerned.

Here’s the thing though, Mugen is very much gearing himself up to strike Hikari down in his inner turmoil so. Here’s a gambit: Trust that Hikari can conquer the Curse and just focus on defending him from Mugen.

Meanwhile Hikari is doing an internal battle against his Intrusive Thoughts. And so that the Curse battle doesn’t look absolutely stupid like it did in my playthrough (I overleveled Hikari and the Curse only did like 50 damage at a time in my 7000 health pool), the Curse scales with Hikari’s level.

So this is actually distressing for Hikari despite him trying to remain calm. But he keeps his ground and tries to go forward.

And then the Curse tries to take over Hikari and well-

(Ritsu: Hikari, when we first met, I told you that I would etch my name in history, and I still intend to do that. However, I find that there is no glory in walking that path alone. If you allow me to do so, I wish to walk by your side as we rebuild Ku and lead it to a brighter, better tomorrow.)

(Rai Mei: Throughout our youth, we have been told that war will always be by our doorstep and we do best to prepare for it at all times. I accepted this because I thought it was the only way for my Clan to survive. It is thanks to you that I now know better. To truly change things we must challenge the system itself with our heads held high. No longer will I be afraid.)

Oboro: …Oboro. My real name is Oboro. There is still so much I need to tell you and much I am hiding but I believe I can at least share that with all of you. For the longest time, I believed that the world is sick and cruel. And now…I have my doubts on how true that is. If you believe that you can all make the world better and softer, then I’ll live for that world. I’ll live for that world and for that tomorrow.)

Hikari blinks and rushes to Ritsu’s aid as Mugen’s sword comes down.

The moment it shows that Hikari conquered the Curse you can see disbelief just go through Mugen and Oboro while Rai Mei and Ritsu just express joy.

These emotions only last so long as Mugen goes and snaps out of it and just expresses pure anger and grabs the Darkblood Blade.

Cue the grotesque transformation of Mugen and having the final battle be at hand.

Once that battle is finished. We have the gang just go and announce Mugen’s defeat and Hikari’s victory. And the moment that’s settled and the four of them go back inside the castle to go and just pass out for several hours.

Several days later and it’s the day of the Coronation.

(Oboro: The crown suits you better than I could have imagined.

Rai Mei: Indeed. It suits you Hikari.

Ritsu: You look like a fucking dork.

Oboro:

Rai Mei:

Hikari:

Oboro: You er…do look a bit silly in that attire I will have to admit.

Rai Mei: It’a actually quite big on you… I find that your previous clothes were a better fit in a fashion and personality sense.

Hikari: I’m glad to know that no matter my status, you all will find a way to tease me.)

And we get the scene where Hikari ends Imperialism and grants independence to the Kingdoms and Colonies (And I say colonies because 100% Ku had those) Ku controlled.

It soon skips to the hill overlooking Ku and the four friends all looking out in the distance. Peace is going to be a huge effort and will take time…but at the very least, it is closer today than it was yesterday.

(Oboro: A toast to new tomorrow- Wait one second.

Oboro: *throws a crescent moon pendant out into the endless sands*

Oboro: Okay then. Now. A toast to new tomorrows.

Ritsu: Heh. Another secret K- Oboro?

Oboro: Mayhaps.

Rai Mei: When you’re ready, you can tell us. But for now. A toast.

Hikari: A toast. To friends we have made and the tomorrow we shall bring.)

Bonus Ending Card Image: It’s just all of them sleeping on a couch soundly while Benkei quietly puts a blanket on them. They need sleep let them have this.

Kiwi i adore all the little character moments and interactions you inject into these, as always. swing the characters being a little silly or having a glimpse of your commentary during these asks is always a delight to see

the whole time kazan’s doing his whole sandstorm thjng rigsu’s just kicking pebbles and mumbling about he could totally do the same thing with his wind magic.

mugen dramatically revealing that oboro is the reason Ku fell and. the entire gang just being unfazed becuase they talked through taht months ago and then ritsu just throwing a rock at mugen and calling him an asshole is delightful. they’ve all had enough of his shit at this point

AND THE CURSE FIGHT???? SOUNDS AMAZING????? the curse actually scaling with your level and therefore being an actual threat is cool enough but,,,,, the little dialogues from all his friends,,,,, and,,, and hikari breaking past the curse just in time to stop mugen’s sword from hitting ritsu,,,, and ritsu and rai mei being so so proud of him,,!!!!!!!!!!

after the fight ends and everyone calms down the four all just. get into one big bed and sleep for like 3 days. they’ve earned the rest.

the ‘You look like a fucking dork’ from Ritsu made me actually burst out laughing that is PERFECT he would absolutely poke fun at his best friend’s getup during his coronation

We’ve made it to the end! (Also I cry a lot.)

Was NOT expecting time travel to be part of this.

Hold on, need to write down these details for my Engage dragon fam headcanons (and I guess ocs). So, one older brother drowned; one older sister burned alive; little sister and little brother torn apart by the Corrupted.

Also HOLY FUCK THAT ONE. That must be why the Corrupted unnerve Alear.

More siblings that died in the war? GIVE ME A NUMBER PLEASE, I MUST KNOW FOR THE SAKE OF MAKING OCS OF THEM!!

I love the way red Alear is talking. Idk how exactly to describe it, but you can tell they’re traumatized from what happened to their siblings and trying to prove themselves to Sombron and that they’re trying to hide their emotions.

Also bruh the symbolism of Luz and Belos as the two main humans in this story. But Luz came to the Isles as an immigrant and Belos as a colonizer. And Luz learning over the course of the show that that makes them very different things and not to feel shame in association to him. They are not the same. Stomp on that skull!

My Most Anticipated Movies of 2023

Honorable mentions that didn’t make my list in no particular order : Killers of the Flower Moon (if it actually comes about this year. how many years have we been saying this is coming out?!), Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Napoleon, John Wick 4, and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. And now to my top 10!

10) Barbie

A lot of people are losing their shit over Barbie. I didn’t really care until I saw the photos of Ryan Gosling as Ken. I’m not the biggest fan of Greta Gerwig, I mostly enjoyed Little Women (although I am still BAFFLED at her decision to make it seem like Jo decided to be with Laurie and then got rejected like umm what ?!) , wasn’t too crazy about Lady Bird. And I won’t get into her non-performance in White Noise lol, but she is a competent director so I’m intrigued. I think Blake Lively would have made a better “Barbie” but Margot Robbie is always delightful so I’m looking forward to this one.

9) Creed III

I’ve never seen any of the Rocky movies, but for some reason I watched the first two Creeds, and I liked them both. Jonathan Majors looks isancely ripped in this trailer and yes i’m shallow enough to let that be enough to get my butt in the seat lol. But more seriously, this is Michael B. Jordan’s directorial debut and I’m very excited to see his directing chops.

8) Wonka

I am still scratching my head over who at Warner Brothers decided to cast Timothlee Chalamet as a Wonka, and make by default a Wonka that fucks. But here we are. When I heard about this casting news a couple years ago I literally said ‘wtf’ out loud, but when I saw the pictures I was sold. He has that mischevious Wonka smirk down pat. I am a little nervous about this after hearing the reaction to the footage that played at CinemaCon , and I’m like one of the few people on earth that didn’t love the Paddington movies, so the Paul King element isn’t comforting to me. But I’m excited to see Timmy in a musical. And the goddess Olivia Colman gushed about his performance, so I have faith. Although if the rumors are true that it was between him and Tom Holland , and Timmy isn’t good in this I will be so upset.

7) Oppenheimer

This cast list is insane, and the fact that he allegedly got to set of an actual nuke is absurd and suck a yep Christopher Nolan still a jackass thing to do lol. Don’t know much about the plot, and haven’t read the book, but looking forward to this one for sure.

Its also fun that this movie is coming out same day as Barbie. That is going to be a wild double feature day

6) Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

James Gunn’s first Guardians of the Galaxy is probably my favorite of the MCU movies. The second one , was uh , definitely not. I’m hoping that the trilogy ends on a high note and this one captures more of the charm from the first. Even if its bad, I know at least it will have a killer soundtrack.

5) The Super Mario Bros. Movie

I know the internet hates Chris Pratt , but I still like him. I think if he was truly a trash person then his co-stars wouldn’t speak of him so highly, and I’ll take the word of people that actually know someone over the opinion of the internet any day. But with that being said , I think it is almost INSANE that he was cast as Mario. Like it makes me laugh every time I think about it. I think its hilarious that multiple studio execs agreed , “yep, he’s our Mario.” I have no idea what this movie is going to be about and I don’t care, just going in with zero exception

4) Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania

Ant Man’s Scott Lang is one of my favorite of the marvel characters and I really enjoyed Jonathan Majors’ Kang in Loki. I’m excited to see what’ll happen in this one and hopefully it’ll have better muliverse content than DS Multiverse of Madness. I have to admit however that the trailers have been disappointing in terms of visuals - I’m not paticialry looking forward to an entire movie essentially filmed in the volume.

3) Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One

The fact that this movie’s title is Mission colon Impossible dash Dead Reckoning Part One is ridiulous , and I hope the movie is just as ridiculous lol Tom Cruise is a freak of nature , and seeing this clip in Imax last month got me hyped. And anything with Rebecca Ferguson? Absolutely.

2) Challengers

Zendaya as a milf in a love triangle with Josh O’Connor and Mike Fiast? Ummmm Sign me the fuck up. I will admit though I am nervous about this movie though because I didn’t love the script that was posted online, and although I know he’s widely known and respected as a great auteur filmmaker , I can’t say that I’ve ever really loved any of the Luca Guadagnino’s films that I’ve seen. I’m hoping that Zendaya gets to play this as a femme fatale kind of sex bomb character, and that it cements her as a movie star that can open a big movie.

1) Dune Part 2

I have truly have no idea why, but I have become almost obsessed with Dune over the past year. I watched it when it came out in 2021 and I thought it was fine , but I didn’t have an urge to revisit it. Then all of a sudden I got an urge to to watch Dune and after seeing it again I got really into the story. I’m really looking forward to seeing what Denis has planned for the second part of this adaptation, particialuar how he’s going to handle the trippy spice /water of life stuff, how they’re going to do Alia, ect. And everything the cast had crew has said about part 2 , that its bigger more cinematic etc has me so excited. And it seems like ever day we are getting another 🤯 cast announcment. I’m counting down the days for this one - November can’t get hear soon enough :)

obviously, spoilers...for this and the og series since I compare and contrast a bit at the end (I give my final thoughts at the end for the new anime overall, too!) ^^

EP 7

-OHHH the aliens new ship design looks Interesting. I see theyre just floating outside of Earth instead of some kinda inter-dimensional pocket area like they were in the original? Neat. the ship still looks super sparse, which, is weird imo. I get that on a meta level filling it w objects would take time and budget from the team doing this tho. but also I want to see their personal rooms or whatever. what do they eat. what do they do all day when they arent being menaces. -ik it happened in the original but its still very funny that deep blue basically grounded kish hahah. get grounded loser (affectionate) -ichigo's strawberry bento bag is so cute -ichigo BOOKING IT AND LEAPING A RAILING TO THANK AOYAMA FOR THE HANDKERCHIEF LMAO -and then her just awkwardly clutching his back for a full 30 seconds. I imagine he was like 'wtf' -masaya 'i cant figure out my feelings At All bc ive never Felt Them Before Now' aoyama and ichigo 'i feel SO Much So Intensely All The Time, loudly' momomiya are sO Fucking Cute I cant HANDLE anytime they speak to each other. glad aoyama initiated the next date!! -MINT LOSING HER MIND OVER ZAKURO IN UNIFORM. YES. THE GAYS. -cafe mew mews redesign is so cute -zakuro sucking ass at being a server but still being beloved by customers. gay icon -aoyama having an Ichigo Sense whenever shes nearby….I wonder if that has to do with the. U Know. her being a mew and him subconsciously reacting to her powers. am I thinking too hard abt this. maybe. -her goodluck charm is soo cute pls. -ichigo n aoyama smacking the shit out of wasps with sticks together. why was that so iconic -WHY DO the chimera anima ALWAYS fucking knock aoyama down. ik its prob bc theyre after ichigo who is Often Near Him but it makes me laugh every single time. get u a bf whos always a damsel (and also sometimes possessed by the big bad! he has the range) -aoyama lying to ichigo and saying he doesnt recognize her to make her feel ok…bc he sees shes distressed and not ready for him to know….king!!! i KNOW he knows. pls. be less cute u two

EP 8: -my god, showing ichigo's crush on aoyama then mints crush on zakuro directly after. really hammering it home. we GET IT they are IN LOVE. -lettuce scaring the shit out of some punks I am Losing My Mind. the fact dudes like that even walked in this ultragirly cafe…pls -supposedly environmentally minded cafe mew mew goes on a cruise, smth that is notoriously Bad for the Environment. lol -aoyama whipping out those environmental facts on the fly..once again I am saying autistic king. -PUDDINGS SIBLINGS!!! CUTIES. and they gave one of them a sort of personality. thats fun -and her lil sailor hat i am crying shes adorbs -not lettuce being infused with a porpoise and getting seasick awww…poor girl -wait are all the girls (sans ichigo) wearing each others colors in dresses…thats so CUTE I love their dresses -lettuce being SO good with puddings lil siblings further enforces my headcanon that shes a teacher as an adult. fuel for me personally -ichigo u got a MAN ON LAND. getting COZY with shirogane on a BOAT. the scandal. (really tho…dancing is fun! esp with nice music! its ok to have Fun queen. I feel like ryou rly didnt even Think abt what he was doing except trying to give his employee a nice lil time since shes not used to this kinda thing) -and also, he doesnt seem to have a sense of personal space with ANYONE, lol -the ocean turning BLOOD RED and the entire shipped being rocked from giant fish monsters. this is my literal nightmare. ur stuck on a boat, nowhere to GO. HELL NO. I will never be caught on a cruise ship. nightmare fuel -the amount of times mint/ichigo fall on each other or crash into each other. dare I say it again. ichimint can still win -PUDDING TART MEETING FINALLY. THEY ARE SUCH CHILDREN. -pudding holding that fish jaw open. her POWER -BRO THAT FISH SNATCHED A CHILD. -lettuce's dive then transformation sequence was def my fav so far. beautiful animation! -did …lettuce just see a glimpse of the alien's civilization going down?? Ohhh the lore..the plot thickens…when she got close to mew aqua too. hmmm!! thats a new mew aqua power! interesting! taking notes! -YESS MERMAID FORM GOOO -YESSS LETTUCE BEING THE FIRST TO FIND MEW AQUA. she looks SO good -PUDDING BROKE THAT FISHES JAW -of course it was regular orange juice…girl did u think he actually spiked it with like. magic. -ryou is such a nice boss sometimes. pls. im not even a huge ryou/lettuce shipper but theyre cute…

EP 9: -aoyama trying to deny ichigo was his gf when the friend gave him tickets but dude. ur friend never said who he thought ur gf was. u just immediately thought of ichigo. shes totally ur gf lol -did not expect to see seiji again. hm. nice surprise hes so involved with mints life ig, just. surprised -mint u absolutely cannot leave for america. what in the world. i feel bad tho bc the mew thing isnt gonna be forever and this would help but also. mint ur RICH rich. u can prob get any job or college u want bestie -ICHIGOS PJS NOOOO THEYRE SO CUTE. her heat shaped chair and strawberry pillow too!! -all the girls gawking at aoyama like hes a zoo animal. i do the SAME THING when my friends tell me they like someone LMAO theyre so real for this scene. nosy queens -then all of them GOSSPING PLSS LMAO -keiichiro side eyeing ryou while all the girls are looking at aoyama. he sus. rightfully so -THE GIRLS ARE SCHEMINGGGG. and it being zakuros plan. obsessed -THIS IS MY MOST FAVORITE THING EVER. THE BEST 4 WING WOMENS IN THE WORLD -MINTS MAN VOICE/CONSTRUCTION COSTUME PLS -nooo old ladies lettuce n pudding…. crying over this entire sequence -ZAKURO AND AOYAMAS ENGLISH. -god they are all such good friends to each other <3 -ive never been so pissed to see kishu. ever. EP 10: -god damn I love the aliens new ship design SO much. its a creature! -kish is officially ungrounded. good for him I GUESS. -ohh, the tokyo tower stuff! is the season finale going to be a 3 ep long thing?? Very Cool -god damn the tension between aoyama and ryou. lmao -does aoyama just always grab ichigo's wrist when hes nervous? EP 11: -the aliens posing for the helicopter camera HAHA -no way…mint and zakuro on a motorcycle together….the rituals...they are intricate….. -oh more alien lore -WHAT. did they change it from them being from earth originally??? they…said their HOME planet is no more than dust storms and heat (lava??) now….thats NOT EARTH??? ohhh. interesting. dont think I like that choice…bc them being originally from earth and humans being descended from db explained why the aliens look so humanoid!!!

-perhaps the concept of them being from another planet is a lie the trio was told? (I am def thinking too hard abt it. but also why would mew aqua let her see that? ? activity from a non-earth planet?? why does it suddenly have that power??? its MAGIC WATER.) -oh my god the underground/cave cities!!! fucking line up with my fanfic/headcanons!!! I am Living -PLSSS BABY ALIENS THEY ARE SO CUTE LITTOL PATAOTOES -I do wonder why their planet chose to send (3) children. like its assumed pie as the oldest is prob not older than 17-18? right? and kish is assumedly 15-16, tart is DEF puddings age….they took an entire ship! (that would kill everyone else) ok but would this premise not make for a fun fucked up apocalypse AU?? only the magical girls survive AU…. -ichIGO ATTACKING THE ALIENS DIRECTLY!!!! QUEEN YESS GOOO. GET THEIR ASSES -'GET CRAZY' -ICHIGO 2022 -HYPEST SEASON FINALE -mint making her choice to stay in japan bc of ichigo….ichimint win!!! -sorry, where did tart get BOMBS?? I miss the aliens old weapons, ngl -god the ost is SO good I keep saying it but the moment mint is rising up the tower and everyones covering her?? what kind of epic symphony… -LESBIAN ATTACK!!!!!!! SHE LAUNCHED HER INTO THE SKY!!!! i AM OBSESSED -mint being the first to use the mew aqua rod!!! im so happy for her!! and its BLUE!!!! oh it looks precious. theyre all gonna get to use it arent they!! at some point!! thats so great!!! -tho ichigos fun lil spin in the og series was my fav of course, this is still very pretty -the mew aqua rod being a …masha form… is not my fav new thing tho….I LIKED the implications of it being smth ancient from the og anime! oh well -w- I can still pull more from the og anime than this one for my fanfics hahah -aww, I like the strawberry rods new design! I still like the og more I think, but this one isnt bad or anything!! and the attack was amazing tbh -ryou almost had a heart attack. my headcanon of him greying before 20 is real. -ichilettuce pose near the end. cute -….I was fully expecting the blue knight to show up during that fight. season 2, I guess?? -zakumint momence near the end….sweet -OH M Y GOD THEYRE PLAYING THE SONG FOR THE FINALE. THE S O N G. A slowed version, too!! NOPE. i am weeping. I just got hit by 40000 tones of nostalgia -they didnt have to do this to me. AGH -PLEASEE MY GOD I CANT HANDLE THIS. THEYRE SO SWEET. SO TENDER. he 100% saw her ears and was being polite by covering them. -NOOO HES CRYING TOO. THEYRE SO CUTE. HE DOESNT EVEN PRESS FOR AN EXPLANATION EITHER. -and a deep blue tease! ok! kind of expected as much. OOF THOUGH that my sweetheart got me so good im still reeling. the girls mustve lost their minds when they heard that. im girls.

-overall thoughts:

-VERY good!!! there were times the animation got wonky, but that happened many times in the og anime too, so. eh. this one at least kept mostly stylistically similar, whereas in the og the faces style could change WILDLY ep from ep. this one was more like, quality changes from scene to scene but still roughly the same style. which is fine, I know how budget and time restraints are. its Understandable.

-there were other things I def liked better in the og, too, like the outfits n transformations, but the colors here were amazing, the costume colors esp worked super nice when all the girls were in the same shot, they looked awesome together!

-I love that each girl will assumedly get a turn w the mew aqua rod! and it changes color to suit each one!

-I loved the OST. So Much. def gonna have to listen to each song again

-and all of the masago moments were REALLY cute. idk, ppl who know me know I love them both a lot in the og anime and the ship. but this one, it rly felt like they let aoyama be more..shy?? I guess?? it was CUTE. also he was a damsel far more, which was also cute. really, I love Strong Catgirl GF and Awkward Normie Shy BF. (normie for NOW. season 2 when)

-the pacing was nice (I do like the og animes fillers, but I can do w/out them! it still felt fleshed out enough! things happened at a really nice pace when u watch back to back, not sure how it wouldve felt waiting a week between and digesting them more?)

-I didn't super love the changing of the aliens backstory from earth to some rando planet, or masha being the mew aqua rod?? or something?? but those are SUCH minor nitpicks honestly.

-I loved how scheme-y the girls got together. their friendship is so sweet and the best thing from the show for me. mint being the og and ichigo not being like, The Leader (yet?) but all of them feeling pretty equal standing is Nice. they rly seem like real friends and I love just. how supportive they all are of each other!! I rly do feel like they work so well together by the end of the season as a team.

-im glad they kept the animation pretty silly and let the girls make goofy funny faces!!! like, they were still cute/pretty in a lot of shots, but they kept the Silliness and Antics at a Max Level. they felt their age if that makes sense. I appreciate that

-like I KNEW what would happen, but the OST and lighting/color schemes on a lot of the scenes made me like. Genuinely Feel Panicked or Excited!!! (of course I was excited to watch)

-my god 'my sweetheart' got my blood PUMPING HEART RACING AT THE END I COULDNT BELIEVE IT. AAAAH!!!

-when is season 2 I need it NOW!!! Im still glad I waited to watch, bc now I have fanart to go thru :3 and I didnt have to wait to watch the next ep, waiting for s2 is gonna HURT. I want it SOON.
