What initially made you want to interact more with Shane?

Like, first playthrough, first time experiencing him telling you to basically fuck off lmao, what made you want to continue trying to talk to him?

picked up stardew valley again, i havent played it since 2018(!) so theres a lot of new stuff to experience. heres some shanes i was fiddling with while taking a break from working on something else. id like to say thanks to my friend synth for valuable input during this process

Literally it's so annoying trying to enjoy the npc I like and it's just getting spammed by people who hate the character.

It's literally called a salt tag or hate tag for a reason. Learn about it and stop filling up the main tag with your distaste for the character cause other people don't feel the same way.

We get it. Not every npc is going to be your taste. Just move on and stop spamming.

i'm thinking abt if/once shane becomes more involved in jas's life (trying to do better by her & stuff) that at events her & vincent will tire themselves out & shane will pick jas up (she's sleeping or almost asleep) & make eye contact with jodi or kent holding a sleepy vincent & it's just. silent understanding.

Currently thinking about how when if Shane now lives with an has kids with the farmer Jas probably start to resent Shane when she grows older and more aware. It's like "He was supposed be my godfather... He barely did anything with that status, leaving Aunt Marnie to raise me and then while I was like 8 he goes off and raises two new children with the new farmer? Bullshit" Godddddd I shit and piss everywhere every time it crosses my mind. I fffffucking WISH WE COULD ADOPT JAS!!!

When she's an adult she'll probably forgive Shane, knowing he was going through a really hard time because his friends died and he was suffering with being an alcoholic, but she would still be upset with Shane having kids, kind of like a "Why not me? Why couldn't you just have been there for me? I was suffering through grief too, and I was a child, I would have done anything for that loving family you created, why couldn't I be apart of it?"

I KNOW IT'S TOO MUCH TO ASK BUT PLEASEEEE AT LEAST LET HER IN ON OUR LIFEEEE!!! Like maybe the first kid you have with Shane is actually just Jas, like instead he's like "Can Jas be out daughter?" Shane, even at his lowest, has the farmer want to see him and care about hearing how he's doing. Even when he was at his meanest/lowest points in the game, everyone that collectively put in the effort to see those hearts with him rise up knew what they were walking into. They still came by sometimes every single day they could to give him something they hoped he liked and talked to him to see how he was doing. They genuinely wanted to see him smiling and happy with his aunt and niece and get better. Whether platonically or romantically they care for him

You deserve your own farmer.

You deserve to treat yourself like how the farmer treats Shane when they're trying to get his heart events

here's the thing i supported their patreon (at their lowest tier but still) because i genuinely liked them and wanted them to succeed and i felt like i was contributing to that even if it was in a very small way. but i did that voluntarily and because i could afford it and it helped them make content that was free for people who couldn't afford it. forcing people to pay for your previously free content- which is currently just one 30ish minute video a week- feels greedy and dismissive of the goodwill and love they've built up within their fanbase
