i feel like wolfwood having that weird "drug" makes him age faster thing in trimax is just weird all around lmao. the 90s anime didnt have that at all, and i think every person who stumbles upon that part in the manga stops and goes "uh... wait a second, is he like a teenager?" and its still confusing even when it shows he'd already been taken for a while, was trained, then they experimented on him, and more time passed, he finally betrayed chapel, then met vash (also comparing the ages of his fellow siblings who were from the orphanage). but it just felt so out of nowhere, like the drug that makes him superhuman suddenly and its so weird. it also feels odd bc the entire manga he has a very knowing, world-weary, experienced vibe about him, and it'd be weird if suddenly its revealed he isnt really like that. i dont know what it added to the story for it to suddenly be a thing, and stampede totally couldve gotten rid of it
