Love hurts
Yandere!Best Jeanist does what needs to make Shinya his. Angst (?), kidnapping, open ending
„Best Jeanist and I are merely friends, there is really nothing more to it.”
Edgeshot spoke, into a microphone held close to him by an interviewer. He was smiling underneath his mask, Jeanist could see that by the wrinkles forming around his eyes. Friends. That word stung in his heart. It had always stung, ever since they had been teenagers. Ever since he had first fallen in love with Shinya.
This pain, this unbelievable ache tearing on his heartstrings, broke Tsunagu down more and more with every passing day. Every time the silver-haired hero’s attention wasn’t on him. Every time anyone else spoke to or flirted with him. He had made people cease contact with him before. He still could, but with being a hero, it seemed impossible to keep everyone away from him.
He loved him. So much that it hurt. Loved him so much that it made his stomach turn with every night he had to think about how the other always just called him his Friend. It tore him apart, like ripping open a small hole in one’s clothes, making it worse with every little tear he had to endure.
After the interview, Tsunagu walked over to Shinya:
“Hey. Do you want to come over to my place tonight? And watch a movie?”
“Sorry, dude, Ryukyu asked me to hang out already.”
These words stirred his jealousy even more, and it made him so angry; he had gotten rid of people before. Cleverly, without anyone even suspecting it to have been cold-blooded murder. But he couldn’t do that to a hero. Not because he wasn’t willing, quite the opposite, but because he knew it would be much more suspicious. Much more investigated.
“But you promised to spend time with me today.”
He lied, squinting his eyes slightly. Shinya frowned and tilted his head; clearly unsure of what he was talking about:
“Did I?”
“Yes. You did, last week. When you already hung out with her.”
They were getting too close to each other for Tsunagu’s taste, and he was uncomfortable at the thought of something more happening between them. He wanted, needed, Shinya Kamihara to be his. He always daydreamed about holding him. Going on dates with him, and marrying him one day. And yet, the other had never once looked at Tsunagu that way. No, it had always been other people who had his attention, his heart, but all Jeanist had was being his Friend.
“I- I don’t remember that. I’m sorry.”
“You can’t leave me hanging like that again, Shinya. You promised not to put others above our friendship.”
The word would barely go over his lips. But his heart fluttered as the shorter one sighed and nodded:
“I’m sure I said that. I will cancel my plans with her.”
He had always been so easy to gaslight. So easy to wrap around his finger. That’s why he had always assumed he wouldn’t need to take more drastic measures.
“Alright. I will cook your favorite food, how does that sound?”
Shinya seemed a bit down about not getting to meet Ryukyu, and Tsunagu’s eye twitched unnoticeably as he realized that.
Later, the two of them sat on the couch, watching a movie together; Shinya’s favorite, and the two of them could speak almost all the lines by now. They laughed, and the blonde’s heart fluttered at this wonderful moment; at Shinya’s laugh and the way he was enjoying his company. Tsunagu was brushing his hair, as he often did when seeing it messy after a long day, and he could get lost in the softness and smell of it for hours.
“You have such beautiful hair, Shi.”
He spoke softly, with admiration, and love, but as always, the other took it as nothing more than a platonic compliment:
“Thanks, Tsu. I really try to keep it soft since you gave me tips on how to keep it healthy.”
“Mh, I’m pleased to hear that. You’re doing a really good job with it.”
Tsunagu replied, feeling his stomach grumble:
“How about I make dinner now?”
Shinya agreed, with a smile that drove the blonde insane and nodded.
As they ate – onigiri with cucumber salad – the ninja hero started to feel drowsy. With a practiced, fake-confused head tilt, Jeanist looked at him:
“Shinya. What’s wrong. You don’t look so good.”
His voice was almost too soft and kind, to the extent that it creeped the younger one out. It was unsettling, to see his smile, which was less worried and more absolutely crazy; like a villain who had just succeeded with an evil plan. He slapped a hand in front of his mouth, dropping the onigiri as realization began to settle in, but it was too late. Tsunagu slowly made his way over to him, caressing his shoulders, and hair, and leaned down, speaking in a low and much too loving voice:
“You left me no choice. I didn’t want to rush this. Oh, you have no idea how much I didn’t want to rush this. But. You’re getting too close to Ryukyu. And I cannot lose you to her. How will you love me if you love her?”
He spoke, his smile spreading wider as Shinya tried but failed to use his quirk. Despite struggling, it was too late; the drug was spreading out in his bloodstream, and his head dropped, caught swiftly as Tsunagu manipulated the fibers of his scarf to keep him from crashing into the table:
“I’ll need you to sleep a bit, my love.”
With that, the world went black.
When Shinya woke up, he was tied to a bed; a big and comfortable one, and he looked around to take in any information he could about his environment; as a hero, he knew what to do in situations like this, and the first thing always had to be to take in as much about one’s surroundings as possible. A low chuckle caught his attention, as Tsunagu walked into the room:
“You’re awake!”
He exclaimed, clearly happy, but it wasn’t the Tsunagu Shinya knew; this one didn’t look at him nicely, with a small smile, and asked about his day. This one smiled like a maniac, with eyes he could only describe as hearteyes, and with an aura of possessiveness.
“Hakamada. What’s going on.”
Shinya spoke firmly, watching the other’s grin drop; clearly disliking being called by his last name. He didn’t reply, only came over to caress his cheek:
“My love.. my sweet little needle. You have no idea how much I’ve wanted you to be with me.
I’m so happy you’re with me.”
Edgeshot shuddered at these words; the way they were spoken dripping with delusion, and utter obsession, and he wasn’t sure what to reply.
“Won’t you answer, my darling?”
“What are you talking about. You were my friend. What are you doing?”
He insisted, but the other shook his head, clearly upset:
“Do you have any idea how much pain I was in? Watching you talk to other people. Flirt with other people. Love other people? I need your love but you always gave it to others. I was tearing apart, you can’t even understand, you didn’t leave me a choice. I’ll do anything to have you with me, only me, I need you to love me.”
Not want to. Need to. Shinya thought, seeing now just how far gone the other man was. In a moment of surprise, he wanted to use his quirk again, groaning as it didn’t work; the collar around his neck prevented him from using it.
“What are you doing my fiber? You can’t leave. I just got you. Please, just agree to stay that’s all I need you to do.”
As a human, Shinya wanted to resist and put up a scene. But as a hero, he knew this wasn’t safe; he didn’t know how far the other was willing to go, he had already drugged and kidnapped him. He couldn’t risk being hurt, or worse; getting others hurt. Cooperating also reduced the risk of the denim hero using torture as a device to get Shinya to break. So he let it happen. Just for now, while he came up with a plan and to buy the other heroes some time. What made the situation more dangerous was that Tsunagu was also a hero; no matter how far into his delusion he fell, as the number 4 hero, he still knew all, if not more, of the tricks Shinya did.
“I will stay with you.”
He said, seeing the way his former friend’s face lit up; and it disgusted him. He didn’t struggle as the blonde kissed him.
“Oh I knew you would come around for me. I’ve been daydreaming about this. About being with you, marrying you...”
He rambled on, pulling out a ring; it looked expensive and was decorated with a beautiful blue stone. Edgeshot hated what this suggested, but simply watched in silence as Tsunagu put it on his finger:
“Won’t you be my husband, Shinya?”
It creeped the smaller one out, how natural and unproblematic this whole situation must have seemed to Jeanist; the way he spoke and moved, albeit much more exaggerated, was exactly how he had always spoken and acted around Shinya.
“I will be your husband.”
If only for his own safety, which held top priority right now. He couldn’t afford for the other to use more drastic measures. And even if he knew that Shinya was merely acting, as long as he gave the other what he wanted, it should be alright.
“Tell me you love me.”
“I love you, Tsunagu.”
A chuckle erupted from the other as he leaned down and caught Shinya in another kiss, crawling on top of him, but doing nothing more than that; only kissed, and cupped his face, with the same care with which he had put the ring on him. The obsession in his eyes cooled down to something Shinya couldn’t quite identify. He allowed the other to caress his face and hair, mumbling variations of
“I love you so much”, “You’re all mine now..” and even “You know I had to do this right?”
What was relieving was that the other didn’t seem to want to hurt him; he didn’t seem to want more than kisses, and Shinya could get through that. As long as he didn’t give the other a reason to lose his patience again, he was comparably safe. Shinya closed his eyes, and took a deep breath to calm his still-racing heart down; he was scared, but as long as he played it safe, there wasn’t too much to worry about. Tsunagu alone wouldn’t be able to defeat multiple other heroes, realistically seen, so all Shinya needed to do was hold through and wait for help. He had done that before, and this situation only hurt so much because it was someone he had thought he could trust. Someone he had liked and appreciated as a friend. Maybe, if Tsunagu had spoken about his feelings, he could have even returned them.
“Tsu.”
He said, more softly than before:
“Could you please get off me?”
Quickly the other obliged, lying down next to him instead, with more soft touches to his face:
“Of course, darling. Fiber of my heart, I’d do anything for you. Anything to make you happy, anything I can.”
So he’s willing to keep me ‘comfortable’. That’s good. Edgeshot thought, turning his head towards the other man; he couldn’t help but feel sorry in a way. The way he acted, it was clear how badly he had been craving having Shinya to himself. It didn’t excuse his behavior, but Shinya knew that he needed to think deeper than his own understanding; Tsunagu had expressed it as painful, so he needed to believe that, if he wanted to cooperate in a safe manner. If it was painful to the taller man to not have Shinya’s love, surely it would be beneficial to play pretend to get him into a better mood.
“If you want me happy you have to promise not to hurt anyone. Focus on me.”
“I couldn’t focus on anyone else right now, you’re with me. That’s all that matters. And I will never hurt you. It feels so good to have you here, do you know that? Don’t you feel the same?”
The lovesickness in his eyes only grew, as Shinya nodded, but that wasn’t enough. He urged the other to speak it out loud. Not with words or actions, but simply with an expectant glance.
“Yes, it’s nice.”
It seemed like Tsunagu wasn’t eager to hurt anyone per se, and if not given a reason to, would avoid it. Still a hero, after all, just one with twisted morals and lacking limits on how far to go for love. Shinya didn’t even want to know how long he had been like that or if anything between them had ever been normal. Didn’t want to know if any of the disappearances of people he knew oh so briefly, could be led back to Tsunagu. For his own sanity, he chose to pretend that his kidnapper had never hurt anyone.
“Are you hungry my love? Thirsty?”
“Not very, no.”
“Alright. Wonderful.”
The blonde said, his voice almost a giggle, as he wrapped his arm around Edgeshot, catching him in an embrace, and resting his head on the ninja-heroes chest. Listening to his heartbeat. And the younger one let him, knowing it was all he could do to get a moment to think. His mind flashed with thoughts about how surely, the Denim Hero wouldn’t be stupid enough to untie him at any point or take off his collar. He imagined he would feed him, and wash him, and dress him however he desired. At least the threads holding him in place weren’t painful.
He turned his head, looking at his former friend; who was sleeping peacefully with a soft smile on his lips. It was almost scary how sound asleep he was in a situation like that, but Shinya understood, in a way, that this relief of tension and pain must have made him tired. A tear ran down his face now, which he tried to wipe away on the pillow; he was scared, of course, as anyone would be, but more than that he was saddened. Saddened about how someone he considered a good friend, his best friend even, could do something like this. How his mind wasn’t normal like he had always thought it was. How they would never normally watch movies together again. Shinya didn’t doubt that he would be rescued and that Tsunagu would be put to justice. But despite all of that, it hurt to realize that all the times they spent together would be washed away now. He had liked him, he really had. Deeply, and he had cherished their friendship ever since they started talking.
With his mind running, he looked back up at the ceiling, closed his eyes, and hoped to be lulled back into some form of rest soon.

Title: Progression.
Pairing: Yandere!Best-Jeanist/Reader.
Commission for the lovely @99shadowcat99.
Word Count: 1.6k.
Synopsis: You’re sure Hakamada only has your best interests in mind. You came to him in a time of need, after all, and as a hero, it’s only natural that he’d want to see you improve. You’re sure he does, you only wish he didn’t have such a cold way of showing it.
TW: Toxic Relationships, Financial Abuse, Emotional Manipulation, Gaslighting, and Slight Stockholm Syndrome.
Tumblr media
It probably didn’t help that you’d been at such a low point, when Hakamada first found you.
It was something you couldn’t deny, something you didn’t try to deny, not when it had such a lasting impact on your relationship. He’d pitied you, back then, met you when you were broke and desperate and willing to do just about anything for a recommendation, a place to stay, a steady wage and all the stability he and his agency could provide, if you just managed to worm your way in. You could only be thankful he’d decided to interview you personally, despite his position. You never would’ve gotten the job, otherwise.
You’d never admitted that to him, not out loud, but that was something you liked about Hakamada - he picked up on little details, no matter how subtle. He noticed up on your willingness to work overtime, your erratic apologies whenever he called you into his office, regardless of the reason why. Your chronic lateness, your reliance on the charity of your coworkers whenever the staff went out for after-hour drinks. You’d never told him, but you never needed to. He was more than willing to help you, whether or not you let him know how much you appreciated it. He was a Hero, after all. It only made sense that he'd do whatever he could for someone in need.
The job hadn’t lasted, you weren’t really cut out for it, but Hakamada had.
Some days, you could even convince yourself he’d done it out of love.
Tonight, the task was easier than it usually was. In his penthouse, standing in front of the full-body mirror he’d had brought in and installed just for you, it was easy to fall into the idea that you were the object of his affections, the apple of his eye, someone he cared about and someone he cared about genuinely, especially when you were already dressed in clothes he’d bought, wearing the jewelry he’d been generous enough to pay for. You knew it wasn’t much, for him. Even if everything he gave you was designer, expensive enough to make your heart speed up and your throat go dry, it wouldn’t make a dent in his salary, and he seemed to like providing for you more than you liked being provided for, honestly. But, you couldn’t refuse. Hakamada had done so much for you, he was still doing so much for you. If he wanted someone to spoil, you couldn’t refuse. And, while you were on the topic…
“Are you ready, beautiful?”
You couldn’t let him know you were so reluctant, either.
You hadn’t heard him come in, but that didn’t stop you from leaning into his touch as you felt his hand cup your cheek, its twin coming to rest on your hip. He was gentle, if nothing else, his chest barely touching your back as he leaned forward, eyes scanning over your reflection, searching patiently for something to correct. You didn’t mind, submitting yourself to his scrutiny with minimal resistance. He was a perfectionist. He looked at everyone like a project, and you weren’t an exception.
Still, you tried to sound confident when you answered. Even if that meant lying through your teeth. “I think so,” You said, smoothing over your outfit one last time. “It’s a Hero’s gala, right? It’s not like anyone’s going to bother paying attention to me.”
“If you’re on my arm, they will.” He always sounded so stern. This wasn’t your first event, you’d gone plenty of times as his assistant and as his partner, but Hakamada liked to be thorough. Before, he’d dug the heel of his palm into the base of your spine, pinched your cheek whenever your attention started to drift, and even after his valet had already arrived, he’d still spend the better half of the drive searching for loose threads and stray hairs to aggressively correct. Now, to fix your posture, he was kind enough to stop at squeezing your hip, his free hand nudging gently at your shoulder. It was merciful, in comparison, but it was still difficult not to feel like a prized mutt, locked into a muzzle and dragged onto a pedestal. “Keep your back straight. You remember everything we went over, don’t you?”
Of course. He’d only spent the past three hours drilling it into you. “I do, Hakamada.”
There was a pause, just the slightest bit of hesitation. “Hakamada?”
To your credit, you caught your mistake a second after he did. “I mean, I do, Tsunagu--”
“You’re really going to address me like that in front of journalists?”
Your eyes dropped below the mirror. For whatever reason, you didn’t want to look at him, anymore. “I’m sorry, Tsun’.”
Luckily, that seemed to satisfy him. Hakamada let out a heavy sigh, and you could feel him shaking his head, more out of disappointment than genuine annoyance. The gesture was familiar, as was the anger-tinged guilt that accompanied it, but he still took his time, letting the feeling brew before he bothered to speak. Sometimes, you had to wonder if he did that on purpose, if he knew he was only making you feel worse by trying to act so forgiving. Most of the time, though, you pushed the thought out before you could dwell on it. You’d only be making things worse for yourself, if you started thinking about things like that. “I’m just trying to help,” He started, the mantra already engraved into your mind. “You’ve come so far since I first found you. All that progress shouldn’t go to waste.”
It wasn’t a question. He didn’t need you to agree. It shouldn’t, and as far as Hakamada was concerned, you didn’t get a choice in the matter. “I know. I’ve come too far to backtrack.”
“You’ve come too far to throw it away.” That was something you didn’t like, when you’d worked for him. It was all or nothing, with Hakamada. A mission was either a success or a disaster. His newest sidekick was either a prodigy or a wash-out waiting to happen. Failure wasn’t an option, not when the slightest mistake meant disrepair. “Things have gotten better for you, haven’t they? You’ve enjoyed your time with me?” It was a question, this time, but he didn’t want an answer, even if he paused as gloved fingers trailed over your side, only leaving your skin for a moment before he cupped your jaw, tilting your head back just far enough for the change to be noticeable. Just far enough to force you to look at your reflection, whether or not you wanted to. “It’d be such a shame if all of this had to come to an end just because of a few insignificant, avoidable mistakes.”
Suddenly, your throat went dry, your heart drawing a little too tight in your chest. It'd been happening more than it should, lately, considering how careful Hakamada encouraged you to be with your health. “You’re… This is going to end?”
He always seemed to enjoy it, when you said things like that. Maybe it was your tone, the softened desperation you didn’t try to hide, or maybe he took it as a confession, a sign that you cared for him, or that you cared for what he could provide, at least. You hoped it was the latter. He liked it when you were desperate, and you liked to pretend that he didn’t. “Of course not, dear,” He soothed, his disappointment suddenly gone and replaced with something more assuring, something more sentimental. As sentimental as Hakamada was capable of being, anyway. “I’d sooner lock you up completely than ever let my little muse run off. Besides...” He trailed off, a light chuckle fading into a scoff. “Even if I did lose you, I wouldn’t be able to let you go, not entirely. It wouldn’t be fitting for my partner, past or present, to go back to living in some tiny apartment, struggling to make ends meet. It’d be embarrassing, for both of us, and I don’t know if I’d be able to stand the distance.”
You didn’t say anything, but you didn’t have to. Hakamada was distracted, now, pressing a light kiss into the dip of your shoulder before he pulled away, fiddling with the cuffs of his suit. “We’re already running late. When you’re ready, come find me. I’ll be waiting.”
You didn’t turn around. You heard the door to his bedroom close, his footsteps growing more distant as the seconds ticked by, but you didn’t feel the need to watch him, you didn’t want to see him, his face, how unaffected he was by the doubts that plagued you like some ever-lasting, unshakable waking nightmare. You knew it wasn’t healthy, objectively. You shouldn’t have to wonder if your boyfriend really likes you. You shouldn’t have to practice your smile, lower your voice, contort yourself to fit his standards of perfection, your needs be damned. It wasn’t healthy, it wasn’t even pleasant, but…
He was right. You didn’t go back to the way things used to be. Starving, working yourself to the bone to make rent, letting any Pro-Hero who showed an interest turn you into something soft and toothless and malleable. It was easier to be with Hakamada. It was easier to let him have his way.
It was easier to tell yourself that you’d still be allowed to leave, if you wanted to.
With that in mind, you turned on your heel, starting in the direction he’d gone off in. You would stay. You had to stay.
You wouldn’t know how to be yourself without him, anymore.

Note
Since you wrote about Yandere Villians with Y/N having a cute fairy quirk, how about a Yandere Hero having a Y/N with a monstrous quirk? SO...you pick the hero! Pick any male hero who you believe can handle Y/N. You do such amazing writing.
Y/N have to wear a face mask to hide the muzzle she wears going outside. Y/N have a quirk where she goes on a frenzy. Her eyes turn red, her veins pop out of her skin, she starts growling and trying to bite anyone near by. A monster who craves to rip flesh and bones. Y/N can turn on her quirk if she feels so much anger or fear. Y/N doesn't want to hurt anyone. She wants to live a quiet and alone life.
Wolf
Pairing: Best Jeanist x f!reader
Warnings: light yandere content, power abuse, threats
Thank you so much for the compliment, dear anon! I went soft with the monster idea that I just made the reader into a werewolf...hope it is still good! I was torn between Kiri and Best Jeanist! I really like Best Jeanist, I wish he got some more screen time ... Maybe I’ll do another one for the shark boy later.
Tumblr media
Some groundwork:
When your quirk manifested at four years old, you were not surprised: you come from a family of Mutant quirks, after all.
Your quirk, wolf, means you can transform into a wolf anytime. The longevity is unknown to you since you barely use it. Even in your normal human form, you still have wolf ears and tail. You also have a sensitive nose, just like canines. You (hair color) fluffy fur is the same color as your hair. In acient times, before quirks become a thing, you would be seen as a werewolf.
While transformed, it is hard to supress the wolf’s wild instincts, the desire to hunt, to kill and consume raw meat (extremely difficult if you are hungry). You hate it, being like a beast instead of human. You had outbursts in the past that nearly killed one of your friends. There fore you stay in human at all times.
So most of the time, you just kept a muzzle near you, just in case you would lose yourself to the beast again.
You always feel this...strange sense of difference between you and normal people, so all of your friends have mutant quirks. You kept your social circle small, only letting those who are deemed trustworthy close to you (you told them to run if they see any signs of you getting wild)
You always had a soft spot for animals, therefore you decided to work in a pet shop. Dogs especially loves you, maybe because your canine quirk. Cats not so much, as they had left quite a few marks on you when you just started.
Now you are the assistant manager, the salary is decent, so you do not look for anything more. You never thought of having a romantic relationship because you do not trust yourself: you do not want to hurt the person you love. So even if you had crushes you just kept those feelings hidden until they went away.
Best Jeanist/Tsunagu Hakamada
Did you know his favorite animal is wolf? Therefore he is a furry
Being the No.4 pro hero means taking on lots of stress, so Tsunagu decides to have an animal friend at home who he can talk to freely, without worrying leaking information (I mean how can animals pass on information).
He went into the nearest pet shop, hoping to find a furry companion, preferably dogs.
What he did not expect is to find you there, with those literal puppy eyes and fluffy ears sticking out of your hair, tending to the puppies.
Tsunagu met people with similar quirks before, and he finds them aesthetically pleasing. But seeing you with a litter of adorable puppies, laughing and petting them? He felt like his heart just melted.
“Hello sir. How may I help you today?” You put on your usual smile. Tsunagu is wearing his civilian clothes, so he is just another customer to you. A fashionable one, though. You took notice at his stylish blonde hair.
Tsunagu would ask you about all the options for adopting a puppy. However he is only half-listening: he is drawn to how your ears twitch towards any abnormal sounds...
“Oh, my ears? Sorry if they are distracting. It’s part of my quirk.”
Would get you to talk to him as much as possible, with lots of polite questions.
When you bid him good day as he walks out the door, holding a poodle puppy with its supplies, Tsunagu is determined to see you more.
You are warm, like a ray of sunlight in this stormy world. Having worked as a pro hero for so long, dealing with many negative things so often, make him attracted to positive people. Those furry wolf ears and tail only added to his admiration.
Whenever Best Jeanist is not needed at his agency, Tsunagu Hakamada would find excuses to drop by your shop. Whether it be buying new accessories for his puppy or simply need some advice on her, he would find a way to talk to you, to hear your voice.
Until he become acquainted with you enough, Tsunagu finally asked for you name.
“I’m (y/n), and you, sir?” “Tsunagu. Tusnagu Hakamada.”
Never have once you associated your friendly customer with the No.4 Pro hero of Japan. Tsunagu is charismatic and talkative (at least to you), never putting on airs like Endeavor. Since he wears a mask, the public does not have a good idea what he looks like.
Then you noticed those small gestures, how Tsunagu’s hands would “unintentionally” brush against yours when you hand over his paid items, how his body would lean in slightly towards you whenever you are talking. Or how his lips would curl upwards whenever your tails wags with excitement. You also seen him way more frequently compare to average customers.
“He got a crush on you.” One of you co workers, teases after Tsunagu left the store.
“No he doesn’t.” You blush, although considering her hypothesis.
You seen some of his clothes in fashion magazines, one of them costs more then your monthly salary. Tsunagu is clearly a rich man, a fashion designer perhaps.
“Ms.(y/n), sorry if this sounds intrusive, but do you have a lover?”
That was...unexpected. “No, I do not. Why did you ask, Mr. Hakamata?”
That saves him trouble. Best Jeanist has got this flawless reputation for years, he prefers not to taint it. But if he must, Tsunagu would not hesitate. You belong with him, and him only. “Well, it’s possible such a beautiful lady like you already has a significant other.”
“Mr. Hakamata...I-” You were not sure to blush or to smile. Now it is clear to you: This blonde is interested in you. However you do not know what to respond.
“Call me Tsunagu, please.”
The next day you would find a lily bouquet wrapped in denim on the store counter?! Who use that as a bouquet wrapper? Flatter as you are, you still find this unsettling. He did not show up for the rest of the day, which gives you time to think.
Tsunagu is handsome and kind. He seems like a perfect choice, but you wonder what he would say if he saw you as a bloodthirsty wolf, feral and hungry for killing.
You decide to turn him down, not wanting to give him false hope.
Some minor villain is causing trouble in the streets when you were walking home. You were just going to sprint away at first, but in the corner of your eye you saw a mother with her toddler daughter being corner by the villain. The way the mother tries to protect her child triggered something in you. You have to do something!
“Grr!!!” Suddenly a piece of flesh is ripped off the villain’s leg. The villain screams in pain, but you dodged every last one of his attacks while leaving deep bite marks on him. Soon the sidewalk is stained crimson with blood. You know the two had already gotten away, you should stop now. But the wolf instincts got the better of you. You crave blood, lots of it. The growing pool under you is not enough.
You heard police sirens, someone yelling for you to stop, but the wolf is not willing to. It seems it would not be satiated unless this villain dies a brutal death.
Streams of fibers wrapped around you, restraining you until you cannot move anymore.
When you regained consciousness, you were in a clean jail cell, still in your wolf form. You assumed that you are being confined in a hero agency since you just lost control.
The door cracked. It is Tsunagu! What is he doing here? And why is he wearing a jean mask?
Then you saw the rest of his outfit. Demin jeans suit from head to toe, the...the No.4?
He is Best Jeanist? What is happening now?
Tsunagu wanted to take things slow, he wanted to date you normally, letting you know everything about him, but this seems like too good of an oppertunity to pass up.
“(y/n), can you understand me?” He crouches down with a concerned look on his face.
You nod. You are not able to speak human languages while in wolf form, another draw back.
“Do your clothes come back when you transform? Or do you need some clothes?”
You left your clothes behind a dumpster before, so you just shook your head. If you were to transform now, it could be quite embarrassing.
Handing you a denim dress, Best Jeanist leaves to give you some privacy to change.
After you are dressed and back in human form, he took you to his office.
“I know you must have lots of question right now, but please allow me to explain somethings first.”
“The villain is in bad shape. You did quite a bit damage on him. His blood loss is immense; he is still in the ICU as we speak.”
Why don’t you just let him die, he’s a threat to society anyway. You ask yourself, silently.
“However, while he is a villain, you still hurt him too much. And it’s not even self-defence. You are not a hero, it’s illegal.”
You tense up. Would you face charges for this? For trying to protect other people.
“Would I go to Tartarus? For how long?”
“Oh, come now. As long as I have any say , I won’t allow that to happen.” Your eyes lit up, wanting to thank him.
“You can be my wife instead. Stay with me, and no charges would be pressed.”
What?
You know he likes you, but just asking to become his wife like that? Without dating first.
“Tsunagu, I... you...this...” He finds your stutters cute, as he traces his fingers along the edge of your wolf ears. Best Jeanist had been wanting to do that for so long, he worked so hard to restrain himself.
“Your choice. Either face court charges, or you can be with me, all is well.”
Tsunagu Hakamada is confident about his chances. An innocent, adorable civilian like you will not last long even in the most outer cells of Tartarus.
Tears slides down your chin as you give a reclutant reply. “I’ll...be with you.”
Who could have thought Tsunagu would do such a thing? He is always so nice and friendly. But now here he is, threatening you with this crime?
“Perfect.” Snapping a denim collar around your neck, he lifts your chin, forcing you to look up to him. “I can’t wait to get you home; you would be such a lovely little wolf. My little wolf.”
“Should you ever try to leave me, I’m sure Tartarus is always avaliable.”

Love Hurts (Part 2)
Yandere!Jeanist again except I prefer he didn't hurt or kill people. So he didn't lol. The Erikas are an idea I got from one of the Black Butler musicals that absolutely wrenched me free of every tear I could have possibly shed. Thanks again anon for the ask! :)
The first part has an open ending which I also liked so this isn't necessarily the only possible one :) Angst, positive ending, Yandere
It’s been weeks since Shinya had been taken away by Tsunagu. He was still tied to the bed, his limbs so numb they didn’t even hurt anymore. The blonde had been treating him nothing but well, aside from the involuntary kisses, but even those were kept short and gentle. Shinya thought that if Tsunagu had admitted something sooner, they could have even been a couple. He wouldn’t have suspected anything.
“My little fiber, I brought you rice balls. Please eat something?”
He asked; for a good reason. Shinya hadn’t accepted food in two days and was starting to be really hungry. It wasn’t that Tsunagu had drugged it again since kidnapping the Ninja hero, but it felt so wrong to accept his favorite food now. The Denim Hero sat down by the bed, holding out one of them for the younger one to take a bite. Smiling widely as he did so:
“Oh, I’m so glad. I was beginning to think you were sick. Is it good? I made it as always. Do you want soy sauce?”
“No thank you, Tsu.”
Shinya replied, calmly, as if nothing was wrong. This had worked those past weeks; it was almost scary how normal Tsunagu acted; he wasn’t forceful, wasn’t pushing him at all, always spoke with the same kindness his voice had held since the two of them had met. He seemed content with Shinya just being there, living in his own delusion of being happily married. Shinya wasn’t scared at all which allowed him to think rationally; the other heroes should come soon, probably having a very clear plan ready. Knowing Jeanist’s patterns would give them at least an idea of where the two of them might have disappeared to.
“Tsunagu? Can I ask you something?”
He asked carefully, catching the taller one’s attention:
“Of course, anything.”
“Why didn’t you confess to me? Earlier, I mean. Why did you keep this to yourself?”
It was a question asked in genuine curiosity. Why had the man let himself fall so deep into this pit of obsession and heartache?
“Oh! Oh, that’s easy. You never paid attention to me, the way you did to others.”
Hearing this hurt, but Shinya knew he was right; he had always seen Tsunagu as a friend, and seeing him flirt with others, of any gender no less, must have hurt like hell. Shinya understood that.
“Were you scared to lose me? We could have talked about it. We’ve known each other for so long.”
“I couldn’t live if I lost you, my darling.”
The denim hero replied, his voice sounding full of genuine fear and pain. He stayed silent until Shinya finished eating, then stood up, looking towards the door; like he was waiting. Of course, he knew that somebody would be coming to take away his love. To steal the medicine to a pain he couldn’t handle any longer. Shinya noticed his gaze:
“Tsu. Tsunagu, look at me.”
It was surprising to hear that, but the blonde did; his eyes shining with a strange mix of emotions. The bit of light that was shining in through the pulled-down blinds looked pretty on Shinya’s face, but with each passing day, his tied-up body felt more and more out of place. Tsunagu was trying to push down that feeling but he couldn’t. He went over, laying down, and caressing Shinya’s face, pressing a gentle kiss to his cheek, with a sadder expression.
“Are you happy seeing me like this? Unable to move? With no choice?”
Shinya asked, wondering just how deep this delusion Tsunagu had built up was; feeling like it had become more shallow. It was silent for a moment, time ticking by awfully slow, but there was no tension. Just silence and Shinya allowed himself to turn his head after a while:
“Tsu, please answer.”
“I can’t. I don’t want to.”
“Why is that? Because it becomes real when you do? I promise you, we can figure something out.”
The older one’s caresses became more firm, not in a mad way, it wasn’t angry at all, it was desperate. Scared, he was scared:
“I was so happy, having you with me, being able to kiss you. I was happy seeing you all the time but it feels.. wrong now. I want you... I want... I..”
“You are such a clever man, Tsu, you know you will be going to prison right? I can plead for you. If they believe me it’s not Stockholm. I can get you mental help.”
Shinya explained, giving a gentle smile for the first time in weeks, as Tsunagu only listened:
“Wouldn’t you like it if I visited you every day out of my own free will? If I came to see you because I care about you and not because you have me restrained? You haven’t hurt people. You haven’t killed anyone. Tsu, you are not beyond help. You just need to allow yourself to get it.”
“But I kidnapped you. I drugged you and stole you.”
Tsunagu said, and Shinya saw a single tear on the other’s cheek. The atmosphere was weirdly calming, and the gray-haired man continued talking:
“I forgive you for that. You need help, help I can’t give you and I know you’re not going to be happy like this long-term. I will make you a promise if you agree. I promise you will not lose me as a friend. I will not leave you. I will not let you serve more time than the court gives you. But I want you to promise in return to get help. There are good mental facilities, they are not all bad. I will support you.”
“But.. but you won’t love me.”
“Tsu, there are more kinds of love than romantic. I love you as a friend. I care about you so much. I want you to be okay, and I know you are not a bad person. You aren’t, you are a hero. I’ve known you for so long, and you are kind and nice, and talented. I admire you. But you have to prove to everyone that you can be good.”
Tsunagu was about to reply as the door flew open with a crash; seconds before people stormed in; Endeavor and Mirko first, followed by Hawks, all ready to fight and Tsunagu looked at his love with fear in his eyes.
“Don’t attack!!”
Shinya yelled, and the three froze, keeping out anyone still outside the door. One last kiss fell on his lips before Tsunagu got up from the bad, calmly and slowly how he had been taught to in a situation like that. He slowly raised his hands, closing them into fists to signify he wasn’t going to use his quirk on them.
The heroes all looked confused, even more so as Tsunagu began to cry more, with heartwrenching sobs, not resisting at all as Mirko pinned him down. Shinya asked her to be gentle, and Jeanist only moved his hands to free Shinya from the threads holding him trapped against the bed; it hurt to move his limbs after so long, but he could stand with Hawks’ help:
I will keep my promise, I hope you know that Tsu. I want you to get better. I will just need to see when I can visit you. But I promise you I will come. It might hurt until then, and you might feel like I will not, but I promise you so much that I will.”
The days passed, it was a struggle for Shinya to rush through checkups, assuring the doctors and his colleagues he was fine. It was a struggle to get through psychological checkups and to convince people that his care for Tsunagu was genuine and not a result of trauma. It wasn’t Stockholm, because the feelings were the same as before; he wanted to be the blonde’s friend and wanted him to be happy. He couldn’t love him romantically, but he could platonically. And could and wanted to support him. It took a lot of convincing, especially to Endeavor and Mirko, to be allowed to go see Tsunagu again.
And when it was finally time, he brought a single Erika flower to the prison; Tsunagu looked terrible when Shinya saw him; thin, like he hadn’t eaten, and tired. His mind had probably gotten to him and he surely must have wondered if the younger one would really come.
“Hey. I finally made it. I’m sorry it took so long.”
He spoke gently, watching as the other perked up and came to the cell’s door:
“Shi.. I was-“
He started, but the younger one interrupted him; smiling and handing him the flower:
“I know. I had a hard time trying to be allowed to see you. I brought you a flower. Erikas signify friendship, I thought you might like it as a promise.”
“But flowers wilt..”
“I know they do. But our friendship won’t. Not if you get the help you need. If you promise to try your best to get better. And I make another promise; until your heart feels better, I will not start dating. Not Ryukyu and not anyone. I want you to be comfortable. And I don’t want you to feel like I do anything to hurt you on purpose. So I will wait.”
The blonde stared for a moment, then slowly nodded; he wanted to say Shinya didn’t have to do it but he appreciated it too much for that. His heart throbbed so badly already at the knowledge that the younger one would never reciprocate his romantic feelings.
“It hurts so much.”
“I know, Tsu. That’s why I hope that the facility you’ll be brought to will help. If you make an effort, they will shorten your sentence. I pleaded for that. I went through a psychological check-up, one that deemed me in the right state to make such a statement. It hurts me too to see you in pain like that. But I can’t soothe it by making myself unhappy by faking feelings that aren’t there. But a friendship isn’t worth less than a romance. I hope you know that. You won’t lose my attention. Not again.”
He said, taking the other’s hand through the bars; it was warm, and soft, and comfortable. For a moment they just stood there, calmly, and listening to the noises of other people talking:
“If you want to be a hero again, and regain everyone else’s trust, you will have to work really hard for that. I cannot promise it will be a success. I cannot promise you will be okay. I can only promise you that I will be there but only if you try.”
“What if I won’t be better?”
“I am optimistic. I know you. But if not then we will have to see from there. It’s normal that there won’t be instant improvements, and it’s normal for there to be declines from time to time. I want you to know that so you don’t lose hope. You will need that hope and you can’t give up.”
Shinya spoke, his voice still soft and calm. Tsunagu looked at him, being the one to let go of the short one’s hand:
“What if I tried only for you?”
“Then you still try. I’m sure you will be able to do it for yourself, once you start improving. I just want you to know you’re not alone at all. I know your mind will plague you enough.”
For the rest of the allowed visitation time, the two talked; not always about relevant things, some moments were spent entirely on memories, jokes and plans. Shinya promised to take him skating again. To have movie nights and dinners still. Tsunagu even agreed to try and speak with Ryukyu as well about everything. Once her anger died down.
Months flew by like minutes, and the mental facility Tsunagu stayed at permanently now, after his seven-month-long prison sentence, helped him greatly. Therapy was provided and he could speak freely about his feelings. His obsession and the unbearable pain. He was trying different medications, all safely observed by doctors, and Shinya visited him often. After around three months, other heroes had also started seeing him again. Especially scary was the moment of Gang Orca stomping towards him, causing him to flinch thinking he’d hit him only to be pulled into a tight hug.
“Tsunagu how much of an idiot are you?!”
He had said, but with the explanations and Tsunagu’s attempt at redemption, was more worried than angry. Shinya forgave him after all, so he was willing to do the same. It didn’t change what he did and that certainly wouldn’t be forgotten, but there was room for forgiveness nonetheless.
There was improvement, good improvement, only interrupted by days where Tsunagu felt like dying; pain overwhelming him along with despair of having surrendered without a fight. He was upset those days, angry with himself, and the only talking he did with people was when he asked the staff for some time alone. As alone as they let him be at that point. But overall, the worst thing about this facility was that he couldn’t wear his beloved denim fabric; trapped in ugly uncreative clothes he wanted to pimp with literally anything.
After over a year, he was allowed to return to his own apartment; still needing to serve mandatory therapy sessions, but overall free again. He did a lot of social work during this time, soon retaking leadership of his agency. Many of his sidekicks had left, while others stayed loyal to him albeit with cracked trust.
The pain was also a loyal companion, but now it wasn’t as bad. He wasn’t keeping it hidden to himself. Shinya wasn’t unaware of his feelings. Everyone knew now and everyone supported him when he needed time. It wasn’t jealousy now when Shinya was with Ryukyu, it was something else he couldn’t explain. But he got the other’s attention in equal amounts now, and the platonic aura, the different look Shinya gave him began to feel like something special rather than something bad. They were best friends. They could rely on each other. And fight together and even though he would never wake up to kiss Shinya, he could still wake up laughing with him after falling asleep on the couch during a movie.
But what was even stronger than the pain was the pure happiness of not losing Shinya’s light. He would be able to appreciate the friendship fully, one day, he knew that he could, if he just kept on putting effort into accepting the help that had been long overdue.
And that brought him a spark of peace he’d never felt.

Currently writing a second part to Yandere Jeanist and I made a change; he dind't kill anyone here because I like the image of obsession and heartbreak without the murder part? Somehow I feel that makes it.. more interesting in a way. And Shinya promising to get him help and making him promise to try to be better.
