You watched as people entered and exited the gas station store, most not bothering to buy anything, which wasn't surprising. Most customers were passing through town on their way to someplace else, only stopping here to get some gas and pass some time by looking at the limited collection of snacks and essential items in the store. Usually, there would only be a handful of customers, many of whom lived in the town, but thanks to the beginning of summer, it felt like millions of people were coming and going.
The beginning of summer was always terrible to deal with. Especially with how many people would drive through your sleepy little town on their way to a summer vacation. What's worse is that the people who went to college were moving back in to live at home. Which unfortunately meant most of the people in your high school graduation class would be back in town. How wonderful. The only two you wanted to see were your friends Poppy and Tyler. Hopefully, you can avoid interactions with the other people in your graduating class.
A smile spread across your face as you thought about your friends. It felt like years since you talked to them face to face. Excitement bubbled to the surface as you thought about your summer plans with them, even if they weren't exceptionally grand. The three of you had decided to stay at a lovely Airbnb not too far from town but far enough away that people wouldn’t bother you and your friends. The house had originally been the home of a farmer, but after his death a couple years back, it was bought and renovated. Just remembering the pictures on the website had you nearly bouncing on the balls of your feet.
The snapping of fingers pulled you out of your thoughts. "Hello? Anyone home?" asked a guy who looked around your age.
"H-huh? Oh, yeah!" you said while straightening your posture. "What can I do for you?"
The guy chuckled and smiled wide, waving a hand a bit dismissively. "Hey, no need to get so flustered. Just want to buy these lighters," he said while placing at least five packs of pocket lighters on the counter.
Your eyes widened, and your jaw dropped at the amount of lighters he was buying. You heard the guy chuckle in response to your reaction, making you flush in embarrassment for gawking. Quickly, you began scanning the items for him to check out to move on from your embarrassing moment.
"That's a lot of lighters... Any reason you're getting so many?" you asked without looking at him.
"I tend to go through lighters fast, that's all," he simply explained. "My name is Ace, by the way, Portgas D Ace."
You raised an eyebrow while glancing at Ace. "Um... nice to meet you, Ace," you said while looking back at the register.
You thought it was weird that he introduced himself. You didn’t recognize him, so you assumed he was just passing through. Maybe he was just overly friendly? You weren’t sure.
Once you finished scanning the items, you quickly told Ace the cost of all the pocket lighters he was buying, and he tapped his card against the card reader. After seeing the payment go through, you put the lighters into a bag while the receipt printed out. The entire time, you could feel Ace drilling holes into you with his eyes.
"Here's your bag. The receipt is inside," you told Ace while handing him the plastic bag.
You expected him to leave now, more like hope, and when he didn't, you internally panicked. He leaned against the counter, eyebrow raised like he was waiting for something. An awkward silence settled between you two, and then your brain decided to take in his appearance.
At first glance, the most notable part of his appearance was the freckles on his face. He wore his button-up open instead of closed to show his chest and-- holy heck, those are some nice abs and a nice waist. You quickly blinked a few times to get your thoughts straight before looking back up at his face. You hated to admit it; that’s a lie, but he was handsome.
"Is... there something else you need?" you asked hesitantly.
"Aren't you going to tell me your name?" he asked, not missing a beat.
"H-huh? My name?" you questioned, visibly confused, while he only smiled again.
"Yeah! I told you my name; now tell me your name," he explained like that was supposed to be obvious.
"Oh... Why do you want to know my name?" you asked, still confused. "It's not like we'll ever see each other again."
For a moment, you saw something flicker across his face. It was an emotion too quick for you to identify, but it still had a chill running down your spine. A dry laugh fell from his lips as he slowly grinned, albeit more menacing now.
"Just humor me, will ya? You never know when you might meet someone again," Ace chuckled.
Something inside you forced you to hesitate. Your throat suddenly felt dry, and your hands clammy. Warning bells were going off in your head as your hair stood on end from how suddenly his temperament shifted. You hoped that your minor freak out would go unnoticed by him. Still, despite the freaking out, you swallowed hard and nodded in understanding.
"Right... My name is y/n l/n," you told him.
Suddenly, Ace's face brightened, and he laughed happily like he hadn't scared the living daylights out of you. He patted your head and ruffled your hair before sliding his hand into his pocket.
"Nice to meet you, y/n! Can't wait to see you again!" he said gleefully with a wave before walking out of the gas station store.

"Holy shit, are you sure you’re okay? That guy sounds like a total nutjob!" your friend Tyler said, a worried frown on his face.
“Yeah, yeah, I’m okay now,” you said to calm him down.
You sighed and leaned against the park bench, tilting your head back to look at the sky. It was later in the day now, and thankfully, Poppy and Tyler had arrived back in town just in time to hang out with you after work. The three of you had decided to get some ice cream before hanging out at the town park. You explained to your friends the weird interaction you had with that Ace guy during your shift, and, unsurprisingly, Tyler was worried, and Poppy was asking questions.
"Well, was he at least hot?" Poppy asked with a sly smile on her face.
“Poppy! Are you serious right now?” Tyler asked, looking at his friend with a scowl.
Poppy shrugged dismissively and licked her popsicle, “What? If a guy is going to be creepy, they should at least be hot.”
“That is a terrible mindset!”
Hearing that had you burst out in laughter, much to Tyler’s distraught, then you began sucking on the tip of your popsicle. He sighed and rubbed his eyes. “Can you two please be serious about this? That guy could be a serial killer for all we know!”
Poppy raised an eyebrow and stopped sucking on her popsicle. She moved her sunglasses down slightly to look at Tyler. “Ty, you're overreacting, like always. A serial killer in a little town like ours? That would be too cliche,” she said before readjusting her sunglasses.
“But-” Tyler tried to argue, but Poppy shut him down.
“I’m not here to talk about weird people y/n meets at work; I’m here to talk about how things will work with Airbnb. I mean, come on, people, we’re literally leaving tomorrow,” Poppy said before sucking her popsicle into her mouth.
Your eyes immediately lit up in excitement at the mention of the Airbnb. You pulled your popsicle out of your mouth with a satisfying pop and grinned. “Yes! I’ve been counting down the days to our little vacation since we decided on a date!” you exclaimed, giggling excitedly.
“But first, you need to answer my question from earlier,” Poppy suddenly said after biting her popsicle, causing you and Tyler to groan in annoyance.

After talking with your friends about the plans for the Airbnb trip, you all headed back to your homes to get ready to leave. You were giddy and restless the entire drive home, wanting nothing more than to finish preparing everything for the trip in a few days. Neither of your parents' cars were in the driveway when you reached your house, but you still decided to park on the curb. Turning off the car, you left to head inside but stopped when you noticed a moving truck in the neighbor's driveway. Your eyes widened in surprise, and you walked over to see who was moving into the house. It’d been empty for years, and you’re surprised someone actually bought it. You remember your parents talking about how the house price was ridiculously high. The garage door was open, and you could hear voices inside.
“Luffy, I swear to god, stop trying to help! You’re just dropping everything!” shouted a voice inside the garage.
“Huh? I’m not dropping things!” shouted another, much younger voice.
Soon after, you heard a loud crash, making your face pale, and dash to the garage entrance. Inside, you found a trio of boys moving boxes inside the house, one of whom you recognized as the guy you met this morning at the gas station. A semi-crushed box was at the feet of a boy wearing a straw hat, and a blonde guy with a scar on the left side of his face was coming into the garage from the house entrance.
You pressed your lips together and awkwardly glanced at the three guys. Internally, you were panicking since one of them was that Ace guy. You were about to say something, but the boy with the straw hat was the first person to speak.
“Oh, hi! My name is Monkey D Luffy! Nice to meet ya!” he exclaimed, greeting you with the biggest and purest smile you’ve ever seen.
You stare at Luffy in complete disbelief at how easily he forgot about the box he’d dropped on the floor. Ace lightly hit Luffy upside the head with a scowl on his face. “This is why I told you not to help! You broke whatever was in this box!” he exclaimed while gesturing to the box at Luffy’s feet.
“Oh yeah, guess I did. Whoops,” Luffy said while still grinning as he scratched the back of his head.
The blonde guy sighed and shook his head while stepping into the garage. “Sorry about them. Is there something we can help you with?” he asked with a kind smile.
“O-oh, um,” you began, “I live next door with my family and just got home. I noticed the moving truck, so I came to see who was moving in; then, I heard a crashing sound and thought someone might be hurt... you know the rest.”
The blonde guy nodded in understanding, placing a hand on his chin. “I see. Well, we were planning on introducing ourselves to you and your family along with our other neighbors, so now's as good a time as any,” he explained with a charming smile. “And thank you for your concern; it honestly means a lot.”
During the entire conversation, you could feel Ace’s gaze burning holes into you like earlier, seeming to completely forget about Luffy for a moment. You swallowed hard, tried to ignore his gaze, and stayed focused on the blonde guy.
“Of course. It would suck if one of you got hurt after just moving here,” you said with a small laugh to try to ease the tension you felt. “My name is y/n l/n, by the way.”
“A pleasure to meet you, y/n. My name is Sabo,” he said, gently taking hold of your hand and lifting it to kiss your knuckles.
A bright red blush bloomed on your face from the gesture; all you could do was nod while looking away. Sabo laughed softly while lowering your hand from his lips. “I didn’t expect you to become so flustered,” he said with another small laugh. “Luffy already introduced himself, but this is-”
“Oh hey! Nice to see you again!” Ace suddenly butted into the conversation, moving himself between you and Sabo, making the blonde let go of your hand. You immediately stepped back, looking up at him with a forced smile.
“Y-yeah. Good to see you again,” you responded with a nervous laugh.
Sabo’s eyes widened, and he stepped back, then laughed awkwardly while folding his arms. “So you two have met each other?” he asked, seeming almost disappointed.
“Yep!” Ace answered before you could open your mouth. He turned on his heel and moved to stand right next to you. “I met her when going to the gas station this morning. She works there as a cashier. Though I did recognize her since I saw her leave the house next door really early this morning.”
“Wait, what?!” you exclaimed while scowling. “You already knew we were neighbors? Is that why you introduced yourself? You could have, oh, I don’t know, told me that instead of letting me think you were some creep passing through town!”
Ace grinned down at you and laughed joyfully, his aggression toward Sabo seemingly forgotten. “Whoa, whoa! Sorry! I didn’t think you’d freak out so much from someone being friendly!” he said playfully.
“I do when someone is being so pushy about knowing my name!” you retorted, which made him laugh more, much to your dismay.
“Ace,” Sabo suddenly said, his eyes narrowed as he frowned. “... Why did you go to the gas station this morning? We filled the car with gas when we arrived last night.”
Ace's playfulness instantly disappeared when Sabo questioned why he went to the gas station. Ace laughed while waving a hand dismissively. “That’s… not important right now!” he said, placing his hands on your shoulders, pushing you forward a little. “Let’s focus on the fact we have such a kind and cute girl as our neighbor!”
Sabo didn’t stop looking at Ace with narrowed eyes. He turned his gaze to you, a somber expression on his face. “You work at the gas station, right? What did Ace buy?” he questioned.
You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion, looking back and forth between Sabo and Ace. “Um… He bought a bunch of pocket lighters. Is that a problem?” you answered, then asked in confusion.
You saw Sabo’s jaw visibly clench as he sighed through his nose. He slowly shook his head, the expression on his face showing disappointment as he stared at Ace. You looked at Ace to see him looking away and whistling like Sabo wasn’t giving him a death glare. You pressed your lips together and tried to ignore the tense air between the two guys.
“So… should I go, or…?” you asked while stepping back.
You flinched a little when both Sabo and Ace answered simultaneously, the former saying yes and the latter saying no. You laughed nervously and took a few more steps back while pointing behind you with your thumbs.
“I-I think I’ll come visit you all later with my parents so we can all officially introduce each other. Because we’re neighbors and stuff,” you explained quickly, saying anything that came to mind to get away from the tension between Sabo and Ace. Before either of them could respond, you turned away and rushed back to and inside your house.
Tumblr media
When your parents got home later that day, you told them about meeting the new neighbors next door. However, you left out the part where Sabo got upset with Ace about getting pocket lighters. You figured it would be better for you to forget that ever happened. Now, you were in your room checking over everything you had packed for the trip with your friends.
Music was blasting through your headphones, and you hummed along to the beat while looking through the clothes you had picked out. Deep down, you knew you didn't need to put this much effort into getting ready, especially since the Airbnb was an hour's drive from town, but you were just so excited to hang out with your friends for a whole week! Just thinking about hanging out with your friends with no one else around made you smile.
A sudden movement in the corner of your eye from your window had you yelping and turning to see what had moved. When you saw nothing, you furrowed your eyebrows in confusion and hesitantly walked to the window to look outside. Your face paled slightly when you noticed that your neighbor's window was across from your window, and you saw Ace leaning out the window with a big grin. He said something, but you couldn't hear him with the window closed and your headphones on. Hesitantly, you paused your music and removed your headphones before opening your window.
"Um… hi?" you said with a slight wave.
"Hey! How are you?" he asked, a grin still on his face.
You frown and lean against the window ledge. "Good… How are you?" you asked, not sure what Ace wanted.
Ace sighed and shrugged while placing his chin on the palm of his hand. "Could be better. After you left, Sabo lectured me about a bunch of stuff, but I honestly didn't listen to most of what he said," he responded, then chuckled softly.
"Oh. I'm sorry, that doesn't sound too great…" you said with a slight frown.
Ace just smiled and chuckled. "Don't apologize. I should be the one apologizing. You shouldn't have seen me and my brothers like that. You seemed uncomfortable."
Your eyes widened in surprise, and you quickly shook your head while waving your hands. "No, don't apologize! I didn't want to intrude on your family business!" you explained, then paused. "Wait, you three are brothers?"
Ace hummed with a nod. "Yep! Not by blood, of course, but we're still brothers," he answered.
"Huh…" you mumble. "I thought you three were roommates."
Ace chuckled and straightened his posture while leaning out the window slightly more. "Yeah, we get told that a lot," he said. "That, and most people think Luffy and I are blood-related since we look so similar."
"I did think that too, actually. Sorry…" you admitted sheepishly.
Ace laughed softly and waved his hand dismissively. "You don't need to apologize. People make assumptions about people all the time; I know that better than most," he said and explained calmly, but you could see a sort of bitter sadness in his eyes.
"But enough about me, what are you doing?" he asked while peeking over your shoulder.
You quickly moved to hide your room from his gaze. A small, awkward laugh forced its way out of your lungs. "I'm just finishing up some packing for a trip I'm going on with my friends, haha…" you explained and hoped that satisfied his curiosity.
"Oh yeah? Where are you going?" he asked, genuinely interested.
You swallow hard and quickly glance back into your room. It wouldn't hurt to tell Ace, right? He somewhat redeemed himself from this morning when he told you he already knew you two were neighbors. Plus, he even apologized just now for having to see him and his brother argue. Now that you knew him a little, he didn't seem that bad.
"We're going to stay at an Airbnb for a week. It's about an hour's drive away from town," you answer, albeit hesitantly.
Ace stared at you for a couple of seconds before starting to laugh. "That doesn't sound like much of a trip to me," he commented.
Your face turned bright red, and you scowled. "What?! It's definitely a trip! You wouldn't be saying that if you saw how pretty this place looks!" you argued, which only made him laugh more.
"Really? Then why don't you show me, Firecracker?" he teased with a shit-eating grin.
Without a second thought, you stepped away from your window to pull your computer from where you packed it. You were grumbling under your breath weak insults about Ace as you pulled up the website. Once you had it up, you walked back to the window to show him the screen.
"See! This place is definitely worthy of a trip!" you said with a grin.
"Well, I can't see anything with you scrolling through the webpage so fast," he said, trying and failing to hide his laughter. "Why don't you come into my room so I can look at it properly."
"Huh?" you said, and your eyes widened. "Wait, you mean, like, come over to your house?"
"No, I mean climb over to my window. Hand me your computer first, then I'll help you over," Ace explained, leaning out the window more with his arms outstretched.
You quickly shook your head while backing away from your window. "I am not doing that," you say with a nervous laugh.
Ace pouted and let his arms drop. "Aw, come on! I promise I won't let you or your computer fall, okay?"
You swallowed hard, taking a moment to decide if you trusted him enough to pull you over to his room and be in his room. You knew it was a bad idea, a terrible idea even, but the need to prove him wrong about the trip with your friends outweighed your rational thinking.
"Fine," you eventually grumble while returning to the window. A wide smile spread across Ace's face as he lifted his arms again. "But I'll kick your ass if you drop my computer or me."
"Fair enough," he laughed.
Hesitantly, you stretched out your arms to give him your computer, and you could feel your heart pounding against your ribs when you let go of your computer. Your heart nearly stopped when he jokingly acted like he would drop your laptop. A scowl formed on your face as you glared at Ace, but he just laughed while pulling your computer into his room.
"Alright, now your turn," he said once he had his arms outstretched again.
"R-right…" you mumbled while nervously reaching out your arms for him to grab.
His touch was warm, much warmer than you expected. You tensed up as you felt his hands grip your forearms. He smiled at you before quickly yanking on your arms to pull you over to his room. A short scream ripped from your throat, and you crashed into Ace, making you both fall onto his bedroom floor. You groaned and rolled off of him to lay next to him on the floor.
"That was awesome," Ace said, turning his head to look at you with a giant grin.
"That was the opposite of awesome," you scowled.
After a moment, you sat up and went to his bed to grab your computer. You glanced around his room to see many fire-patterned things, even though most had just been pulled out of boxes. Even his bed's blanket had a flame pattern. You returned to Ace and sat beside him while your computer turned on. He sat up with a slight groan and placed his hands in his lap. You glanced at him, noticing how he was drilling holes into you again.
"Why do you keep looking at me like that?" you asked while logging into your computer.
"Huh? What are you talking about?" he asked with an awkward laugh.
You rolled your eyes and shook your head in disbelief. "You keep staring at me, and it's honestly kind of unnerving."
"Oh shit, really?" he asked, seeming to genuinely feel guilty. "You're just so pretty I can't take my eyes off you.
You tensed up for a second and looked at Ace. You narrowed your eyes at him, trying to see if he was lying or messing with you. "... Thanks," you eventually responded, focusing back on your computer as a light blush appeared on your face.
"Aww, Firecracker is embarrassed," he sang while poking your cheek.
"No, I'm not! Now look at the Airbnb," you quickly said while turning your computer a little so he could see the screen.
Ace hummed softly as he looked through the pictures of the Airbnb farmhouse. A small smile appeared on his face as he looked at you. "I guess it looks like a nice place," he said.
"What do you mean 'I guess'? It's a stunning place!" you argued, then sighed and closed the computer before putting it aside. "By the way… What's with all the fire and flame in your room?"
Ace's eyes lit up, and a genuinely happy smile appeared. "I've always liked fire. Just looking at it soothes me and makes me feel whole. I go through lighters fast because I sit and watch the fire," he explained before standing up and walking over to one of the boxes in the room.
"So that's why you bought all those lighters?" you asked.
"Yep!" he answered while digging through a moving box. "Sabo calls it an addiction and says I should stop wasting lighters just to stare at the fire, but when I'm stressed, I can't help myself from lighting one."
You slowly nod, not fully understanding, but you still kind of get it. "Yeah, I guess fire can be pretty to look at sometimes," you agreed.
"More like all the time," he said with a chuckle while pulling out a lighter. "This here is my favorite lighter. A friend gave it to me a long time ago, and every time I light it, it looks like the fire is alive."
Ace quickly came back over to you and sat down next to you. He carefully handed you a bright orange lighter with red circles wrapping around just under the lighter's lid. On one side was a blue smiley face, grinning, and on the other was a similar smiley face but frowning instead of grinning. You could tell it was old, with some paint chipping at the edges, but it looked pristine.
"Wow…" you mumbled while handing it back to Ace. "It suits you."
"Thanks," Ace said with a slight chuckle. He flipped the lid open and ignited the lighter to create a small fire.
You and Ace sat together for a while; you weren't sure how long. You just stared at the fire created by the lighter. He was right when he said the fire looked like it was alive. The flame danced and flicked constantly like it would go out, but it never did. Eventually, you glanced at Ace's face to see him intently staring at the fire, almost like he was jealous of how it burned.
The moment ended when someone knocked on Ace's bedroom door. You and Ace flinched in surprise, and he closed the lighter before standing up.
"Ace! Sabo said we had to wait for you before eating, but I'm huuuuuungrrrrry!" whined Luffy as he kept knocking on the door. "Come downstairs already!"
You scrambled to the window, strangely scared to get caught in Ace's room. Ace quickly began helping you climb out his window and back to your room.
"How am I supposed to get back over?" you whispered to Ace. "I know this was a bad idea; I shouldn't have listened to you!"
"Yeah, well, too late for that," he whispered back. "Okay, I'm going to hold you by the waist and stretch you out the window so you can grab hold of the window ledge. Got it? Okay, let's go"
"Wait, no, I don't get it-" you tried to say, but he was already pushing you out the window.
You squeaked, quickly reached the window ledge, and grabbed it as tightly as possible. Much to your dismay, you slowly began pulling yourself through your window and back into your bedroom. You heard a door opening behind you, and suddenly, you were pushed inside your room and fell onto the floor.
"Ow…" you mumbled while slowly getting up.
You looked back at the window to Ace's room, seeing it was now closed and the curtains pulled together. A slight frown appeared, and you sighed before closing your window and the curtains.

The following day, you woke up bright and early, excited to meet up with your friends before heading to the Airbnb. The three of you planned to only use one car to save gas because you didn't see a reason for having three cars when you’d be staying at Airbnb the whole time.
You put your suitcase and all your bags into the trunk of your car and said goodbye to your parents before getting in to pick up your friends. Tyler didn’t have much luggage to put in the car, but Poppy practically filled the back with all her bags. Most of it was her health care products and other things she used to care for her skin.
Once everything was squished into the car, you and your friends headed to the Airbnb. The drive there was full of karaoke and excited talk about the plans to be lazy for the next week. The drive felt short as soon as you pulled up to the farmhouse. It was huge, and surrounding it were fields with no other buildings in the distance. It's the perfect place to forget about the rest of the world for a while.
You parked the car, and then you and your friends exited the vehicle. You quickly bring in all the suitcases, not bothering to unpack yet as you explore the farmhouse. The three of you went through each room slowly, taking your time to enjoy the house's atmosphere, and before you knew it, the sky had already grown dark.
Now that it was night, you and your friends began to work on unpacking the things you will need immediately tonight and for tomorrow morning. However, as you pulled items out of your suitcase, you realized something was missing.
“Oh crap,” you mumbled while pulling everything out of your suitcase.
Tyler looked over at you and furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. “What’s wrong, y/n?” he asked, worried.
“I think I forgot my computer at home,” you quickly say while looking up at your friend with panic.
“How did you forget your computer?” Poppy asked in a mixture of disbelief and annoyance. “I thought you were all packed up days ago!”
“I-I was! Maybe I pulled it out to use it sometime? I-I don’t know, but I need to go get my computer!” you explain while standing up and grabbing the car keys.
Poppy quickly blocked your path as you walked to the front. She folded her arms and glared at you while shaking her head. “We all agreed not to leave the Airbnb unless it was an emergency. I don’t think not having your computer is that big of an emergency,” she frowned.
You groaned in frustration and shook your head. “Yes, it is! All the plans I had for this next week are there, plus the three of us can’t play video games together if I don’t have my computer! I swear I’ll be fast, and it’s late enough that most people won’t be on the roads. Please, Poppy, just let me go back to get my computer real fast,” you pleaded with your friend.
“I-I agree with y/n,” Tyler chimed in. “Besides, it wouldn’t hurt for her to head back. It’s our first day here, Poppy.”
Poppy glanced between you and Tyler a couple of times, the frown on her face becoming a scowl. “Fine. Go get your computer. I won’t be waiting up for you,” she scoffed before walking past you.
You frown at your friend, suddenly having a sinking feeling in your gut, but only nod and wave before you rush outside. You unlocked the car and got inside while reaching around the wheel to start the car. Once you were buckled in and the engine was on, you drove off into the night.
Tumblr media
When you were about halfway back to town, you remembered where you left your computer. It was in Ace’s room from when you showed him pictures of the Airbnb. You cursed under your breath, then sighed before turning the car around. It was late, and you didn’t want to bother your neighbor at this time of night. You knew Poppy would be pissed with you, but it’d be better to get it in the morning. A slight frown appeared as you thought about how much this might affect the rest of the trip. Poppy will probably be agitated for the next few days,
You saw the smoke and flames before reaching the farmhouse's driveway. Panic flooded your senses as you floored the gas pedal, hoping you could save your friends from a fiery death. Your mind reeled as you tried to imagine what could have caused a fire. Your friends could be dumb sometimes, sure, but not that dumb.
When the farmhouse came into view, you slammed on the brakes to slow down even though you knew you'd need to get a replacement. You scrambled out of the car when it came to a stop and went to rush inside. However, you stopped short upon seeing the outline of a person standing in front of the building.
You couldn’t tell who he was because of the mask he wore, but your body froze when you saw the lighter in his hand. He absentmindedly flicked it open and closed, sounding like nails on a chalkboard to your ears since you recognized the bright orange lighter. He had yet to notice you despite how loud your car probably was when you slammed on the brakes. He looked too focused on watching the flames destroying the farmhouse. Swallowing hard, you carefully and quietly began to approach him. You really, really hoped that you were wrong and that this freak just happened to have the same lighter as your new neighbor.
He stopped messing with the lighter as you got close enough to touch him. You immediately stopped moving, adrenaline pumping through your veins. He groaned in annoyance and rolled his neck to lean his head to the side.
"I swear to god, Luffy, don't fucking try to sneak up on-" he started talking, but you quickly pounced on him before he could finish.
He wasn't wearing a shirt, so it was hard for you to get any leverage while wrestling him on the ground. Though it didn't seem to matter from how easily he overpowered you, despite your best efforts. You were still kicking and fighting against him when he pinned you to the ground with his body weight. He didn't bother with pinning your arms down and instead focused on keeping your body under him.
"... Holy shit," he mumbled, grabbing you by the hair to pull your head back to look at your face.
The man who pinned you to the ground took off his mask and then threw it to the side. Tears welled up in your eyes at the sight of your new neighbor, Ace, hovering above you and staring down at you in what looked like disbelief. However, that didn't last long, as a grin soon split across his face.
"Holy fucking, shit," he laughed while moving down to have his nose touching yours. "I thought you were in the building with your friends… I should’ve guessed you were gone since I didn’t see a car when-"
"Go to hell!" you screamed at him, tears of frustration in your eyes as you kept trying to get out from under him.
Ace's eyes narrowed, and he glared down at you, a scowl quickly replacing the grin on his face. A scream tore from your throat as he yanked your hair, pulling out some strands. He forced your head to tilt back as he moved his mouth to your ear.
"Don't fucking interrupt me. I don't want to kill you but keep interrupting me, and I'll turn you into a charred corpse like your friends inside," he growled into your ear, practically kissing it with how close he was.
His threat made you tense up and stop struggling. A shiver ran down your spine from feeling how his scowl turned into a grin. "That's better," he hummed, lifting his head to look down at you.
You began trembling in fear as he stared down at you; a mixture of lust and obsession swirled in his eyes. There was also a spark in his eyes that was terrifyingly similar to the ones you'd see in the eyes of someone who just won the lottery. He tilted his head slightly to the side as he wrapped a hand around your neck, squeezing slightly.
"I thought it’d be easy to kill you, like Sabo said," he whispered, and you felt disgust form in your gut from how sensual his tone sounded. “Should’ve known the love of my life wouldn’t go down so easily.”
"The only reason I tried was because fucking Sabo said getting close to anyone would end badly. It was him who convinced me to kill you along with your friends," he continued, slowly sliding his hand down your neck to your body.
"Wha-" you began to say but quickly stopped when Ace glared down at you.
He sucked in some air and shivered, a light flush appearing on his freckled face. "Fuck you're so easy to scare into submission," he groaned while rutting his hips against you.
You screamed and thrashed under him, only to hear him laughing with genuine joy. You flinched when you felt his warm hand slip under your shirt. Shaking your head, you tried to push his arm away from under your shirt, but he didn't budge even a little bit.
"Even your screams are gorgeous," he sighed, leaning his forehead against yours.
"I've wanted to make you mine since the first time I saw you," he admitted with an almost shy grin. "Everything about you turns me on and makes me happy..." he continued, rutting his hips against you again, watching with a sick glee as more tears welled up in your eyes.
“Like that time a few days ago when you were at the park with your friends. I was so jealous of that popsicle you were eating. I couldn’t stop imagining that instead of a popsicle, you were sucking my cock. Swallowing my cum like a good girl,” he explained, his breathing heavy. “Or when you came into my room to hang out. God, I wanted to burn off your clothes so badly to feel your skin against mine.”
He slipped his hand under your bra and roughly cupped your left breast with his hand. He squeezed, making you cry out in pain, and slowly began to massage it. He bit his lower lip while looking you in the eyes, trying to keep his breathing steady. “That’s why Sabo wanted you dead,” he admitted like it was completely normal. “He said you would be a distraction from our work. He actually wanted to kill you himself since you were so cute, but there was no way in hell I’d let that happen. If someone was going to kill you, it was going to me. I saw you first, I met you first, you’re mine.”
If you didn’t think he was out of his mind before, you were sure of it now. You continued trying to push Ace away, but everything you did went completely unnoticed by him, and you swore he was actually turned on by how much you were struggling. What’s worse is that you could feel unwelcome arousal starting to boil in your core.
“You like me too, right?” he suddenly asked while swiping his thumb over your perky nipple, causing you to yelp and squirm. “You trusted me enough to pull you over into my room. Hell, you trusted me enough to come into my room.”
“I only went into your room to prove you wrong,” you hissed angrily. “How could I ever like the person who killed my two best friends? I fucking hate you, Ace.”
Ace froze and stopped moving. He stared down at you, his eyes widening and gaining a far-off look. He swallowed hard, making his adam's apple bounce. Suddenly, he tore your shirt and bra off while his breathing got heavier. A chill ran down your spine from the lukewarm air brushing against your skin. The gravely road rubbed against your back, making you whimper in pain while trying to push Ace away. He buried his face into your neck and aggressively kissed and nipped at your skin.
“You’re lying,” he hissed, letting go of your hair to grab your shoulders and pin you to the ground. “You do love me. You have to love me; there’s no way you don’t love me,” he continued, his voice cracking slightly with desperation.
You shook your head, grabbing the back of his head with his hair before trying to pull him away from your neck. “No, I don’t! I don’t love you! Maybe I liked you once for a second, but that was before you murdered my friends!” you screamed while tears started rolling down your face.
The reality of your friend’s deaths was slowly sinking into your thoughts, but you tried to push away the way you wanted to mourn your friends right now. Before you can do anything, you need to get away from Ace.
“SHUT UP!” Ace yelled, his voice frantic, mixed with anger and desperation. “I love you too much to let you not love me! You do love me! You will love me!”
Suddenly, he took a hand off your shoulder to move down and lift up your hips. He quickly began pulling off your pants and underwear, ignoring the screams and insults you threw at him. He tossed the last of your clothes behind him and wrapped your legs around his hips. A dry laugh came from him when he saw how some of your slick was staining his pants.
“You keep saying you don’t love me, but clearly you do since you seem to be enjoying how I’m treating you,” he said in a deep, rough tone. “Does my Firecracker have a filthy brain? Such a naughty girl… not that I’m complaining.”
You yelped and threw your head back as he thrust the bulge in his pants against your bare cunt and clit. He let out a deep, shaky sigh while leaning his head against your shoulder. “This wasn’t how I planned our first time together would be, but this is as good a place as any,” he mumbled, continuing to move his hips against you. “I wanted us to fuck in my room, make it all romantic while making you cum over and over. Then I’d fuck you properly and make you feel nice and full. Maybe we can still do that sometime, huh?”
“F-fuck you,” you hissed angrily, hating the way he dragged out the arousal deep inside you.
“I’d rather fuck you instead,” he whispered into your ear.
“I know I should help you get ready to take my cock, but fuck I can’t wait any longer,” he suddenly whispered while shifting a little to take off his pants.
Your eyes widened in panic, and you quickly shook your head and pounded your fists against his chest. He didn’t take his pants and boxers off all the way, just enough to let his cock spring free. You glanced down to see how pre-cum was smeared all over the rip and dripping down the shaft. There was no way you’d be able to take him right now, so you desperately began trying to get away from him.
“Let go of me! Go away! I hate you!” you screamed while tears rolled down your face.
You watched how his eye twitched slightly while he carefully aligned himself with your hole. “Ya know, I was going to be considerate and let you take me in slowly, but since you keep saying shit like that and I’ll just push in all at once.”
He thrusted his length inside you before you got the chance to respond. You threw your head back and cried out in a mixture of pain and pleasure. You heard how he groaned and sucked in his breath, and you weakly lifted your head to look at him. He was staring down at you, taking in every little movement of your face as you got used to him inside you, and you hoped with all your might that he wouldn’t move yet.
To your disgust, Ace gently wrapped his arms around you and pulled you close. Touching his skin felt like you were in the burning building; everywhere he touched, it felt like a burn should have been left behind. Still, his body's warmth was unnaturally comforting, and you hated it.
Soon, Ace slowly pulled out of your pussy till only his tip was inside, then sharply thrusted back inside you. Your body jolted, and you gasped while trying to cling to him the best you could. He chuckled softly while rubbing circles into your back as he slowly began repeating those motions, the sound of skin slapping ringing in your ears.
“F-fuck, you're tight,” he mumbled before kissing you hard on the lips, keeping that steady pace as he carved a path deep inside you.
A small sob fell from your lips while he kissed you passionately. You closed your eyes and tried to ignore the feeling of his lips on yours, but that only made you acutely aware of how well he was fucking you. He forced his tongue into your mouth and explored wildly while his pace slowly sped up. The way he kissed you felt suffocating, and soon, you harshly bit his lower lip in an attempt to make him pull away. Instead, he just groaned and kissed you harder, like he was trying to swallow you whole.
Soon, a fog of pleasure began settling in your mind despite your best efforts to ignore the arousal and pleasure Ace was giving you. You slowly started to cling to him more desperately, aching to reach a high you never wanted in the first place. That fog only solidified as Ace began rubbing circles against your clit. Your fingernails dug into his back, making thin crescent marks that started to turn red.
“G-gonna make you cum first,” Ace mumbled against your lips. “Wanna see the cute fucked out expression you’ll have.”
You absentmindedly nodded in agreement as you began rocking your hips to meet his thrusts. The heat in your core grew hotter by the second, threatening to go past the metaphorical boiling point. A small squeak got caught in your throat, and your eyes rolled back a little as you felt the rush of your high washing over you all at once, your cum coating his cock and spurring him to keep going. Ace pulled away from the kiss to look at your face, admiring the tear streaks and drool leaving your mouth.
“You're so cute,” he whispered in a husky voice, biting his lip while staring down at you. “You can cum one more time for me, yeah? I-I don’t wanna stop feeling your pussy yet.”
You quickly shook your head as the pleasure slowly crept into the area of pain. “‘s too much-” you babbled with a small hick-up.
“No, no, you can do it. Give me one more. Wanna feel your cute cunt sucking me in again,” Ace groaned as he rubbed your clit faster.
A whimper left you as you leaned your head against his shoulder, clinging to him as your body shook from the overload of pleasure running through your veins. Your toes curled, and you moaned with each harsh slap of his hips against yours. You could barely think, let alone pay attention or remember the crimes he had committed just while you were away from your friends.
A scream of pleasure ripped from your throat as you creamed on his dick again. Your head leaned back, and you breathed hard to get air back into your lungs as you recovered from reaching your second high. Ace squeezed your body against his while beginning to thrust into you wildly, chasing his own release as he basked in the feeling of your gummy walls around his dick.
“L-love you,” you mumbled, not thinking straight. “Love you so much,” you continued while moving to lean your forehead against Ace's.
Ace’s eyes locked with yours, little hearts practically in his eyes. “Say it again,” he demanded. “Say that you love me.”
“I-I love you,” you repeated, slowly beginning to say that repeatedly under your breath.
Hearing that, Ace thrust deep inside you, groaning as he released his seed into the deepest parts of your cunt. He breathed hard, still squeezing your body against his as a wave of tiredness began washing over him. “Love you too, Firecracker,” he mumbled, a manic grin on his face before he fell asleep on top of you.

helloo!! ^^
i saw that ur requests were open! could i request a yandere ace headcanons? :D
(i didnt see one piece in ur fandom list but i thought it was worth a shot to ask! just ignore this if ur not comfortable with doing a new fandom!)
Ok so listen, out of all Japanese kids I was that one kid who never watched One Piece (I was a Sailor Moon kid lmao). Like all I know is Nami, Chopper, Luffy, and Zoro.
So I did read the info on Ace, and I have like a basic idea of what his personality is like. But again, I only know briefly of his backstory. Honestly the conclusions I came up with are: Luffy but a little bit more calm + fire fire go bang bang
Tw: brief self-glorification I suppose, maybe in the manipulation category?, brief violence, not that extreme cuz I don't know him for shit
Yandere Ace Hcs (An Attempt)
(I'm too lazy to start on how he gets obsessed with MC, so we're just gonna go straight from when he's obsessed)
He's protective of MC, but only when they're in danger. Otherwise, he lets them roam around a little. But still within his area.
He's kind of possessive, but really only shows it towards other people. What I mean by that is he might hug MC or kiss them on the face briefly if he wants people to back off. Maybe do a little smug smile right after to express his greatest achievement: you
If MC is in danger, the enemy better be prepared because he's going to fight until their corpse is literally mutilated. He'll go back to MC and won't leave them for a few days.
I feel he wouldn't kidnap MC, but rather make them trust him completely. He'll act like he's the reason they're safe and happy.
Very lovey-dovey in private. He'll hold you and try to kiss your cheeks and lips one too many times. He gets a little huffy if you don't let him right away.
(Well that's a general idea I can think of. For ppl who have watched One Piece, tell me on a 1-10 scale how well I did. I'm genuinely curious.)
- Celina [If I get a 3, I'll be happy honestly haha]

Yandere Portgas D. Ace
Tumblr media
• Known as the 'fire fist' Ace and part of the whitebeard crew. Ace is quite a charmer and friendly at first meeting or if you happen to bump into the guy as a fellow villager on an island.
• Ace is the yandere that needs and I mean NEEDS his darling mix with he feels like he has to protect you against anyone or anything that looks like a threat.
• clingy, possessive and quite short temper but he doesn't take it out on you. his type are more of the positive side and he loves to praise his darling and or if they give him attention/affection.
• He travels quite a lot with the whitebeard crew so likely there's a chance you'll be there with him (depending on the situation) I do see him having you somewhere safe until he returns.
• At times his narcolepsy kicks in at the random moments or he would pretend it (like in the morning). (Meal times are more of you telling him to be careful)
"Ace time to get up"
"Zzzz" *has arms around you close* (he wants five more minutes)
• quite has paranoia with the thought of you missing or worse if he doesn't see you. (Which lead to sticking by his side), of course he introduces you to those who are close with him but if you introduce a friend of yours than it feels scary (friend can see the daggers in his eyes).
• Ace would love to know more about you even if there's nothing else perhaps about your day instead or (if you happen to be thinking of him like he does with you)
• his love language is affection and gifts as he'll make it his goal to make sure you're happy and I mean he'll do anything.

Can I please have prompt 4 or 22 with Sanji or Ace??? I’m so glad to see you returning!!!
It's good to be back! I missed yandere for sure.
Ace x GN Reader SFW WC: 583 TW: alcohol, yandere, drugging
Tumblr media
Ace chewed at the skin of his finger, gnawing at the flesh as his eyes darted from one side of the deck to another, nervous, fidgeting in place as he bit a little too hard at his thumb, hissing pain, sharp and sobering.
He crossed his arms over his chest, tapping his boot against the deck. You said you’d meet him, said you were happy to get a drink with him. But you were late and he was impatient. Ace stared at the sky, the darkness that stretched across the world, a blanket of stars.
If he wasn’t a such a state right now he was sure he would be enjoying the view. But you were late and he was terrified you’d decided you didn’t want to be around him. That thought hurt more than the self-inflicted pain on his thumb.
A prickle of fire sparked across his shoulders, his frayed nerves starting to show in ways he was struggling to control. His heart thundered in his chest when he heard footsteps when he heard your voice.
“I am so sorry I’m late Ace.” You say, with a sheepish smile.
He washed away his anxiety, he wore the biggest smile, the mask of confidence back in place when you said his name, he loved how his name sounded in your voice. He shrugged his shoulders acting like it was no big deal.
“It’s okay, your here now right?” you nodded and felt the warm hand on your back, leading you towards his room where he promised he had some of the good stuff he’d stolen from Thatch.
You and Ace were good friends, there had been a bit of a setback caused a few weeks ago when he had come to you, confessing his feelings, but it wasn’t just an admittance of a crush but it was a declaration of love and it had stunned you.
Avoiding Ace had just seemed to make him worse, make him agitated and cranky. Marco had been the one to suggest trying to act like it hadn’t happened, act like it was nothing. The sooner you tried to get over it and go back to normal the sooner Ace would get over it.
Perhaps that had been both you and the doctor's mistake, following Ace to his room, sitting with him and drinking from the bottle you hadn’t checked had been sealed before Ace opened it.
You’d always trusted Ace, as you did all your crewmates, lulled into a sense of safety under the name of Nakama. You thought you knew Ace but you only knew the Ace he’d carefully crafted, the fake confidence and the warm smile that hid an emotional turmoil.
Vision blurry as the shot glass slipped out of your grasp, rolling across the floor with a pleasing sound that echoed as you tried to focus on a point, everything was doubled as you struggled to sit. You slumped against the warmth that was Ace as he tried to hush your questions, tracing your lips with a trembling finger as you mumbled.
“I love you, and I know you love me too. Even if you refuse to admit it.” his voice soft, his gaze downcast, watching your lips trying to form words.
The last thing you saw was the freckled face before you closed your eyes, the need for rest overpowering you, unsure what mess you’d be in when the spell of the bottled concoction wore off and you were left to his mercy.

Ooh I wonder how would Yandere ace work in your au ? Would he have a connection with a character in the book or would he fall for the reader before he reads the book if that make sense ?
Sorry for taking so long to respond to this, I need to be in the mood to write for certain things and I recently found myself in the mood today
But your concept... Falling for the Y/N he reads the book? That’s quite an interesting concept, I honestly have to say! I really never thought about something like that so let’s focus on that for him
Hope you don’t mind, friend! Also I apologize in advance because I’m not the best at writing Ace...

Misunderstandings, Forced Marriage, Noncon, Delusions
!-Potential Trigger Warnings-!
MINORS DNI
So when I think of how Ace would probably wind up meeting Y/N before he ever wrote the book is that I can imagine him winding up on the island where you currently are
He probably meet you at some kind of event for your book which is probably a book signing but whether or not it was after or during the book signing could lead to different outcomes
After the book signing, he could have protected you from some sort of creepy person who was trying to pull some shit like whether it be some very unsavory acts or what, Ace sends the person running off with a fire on their bum only to wind up on the receiving end of your gratitude once the creepy person was out of sight
If it was during the book signing then he probably noticed the crowd of people hanging around one area and got curious about what it could possibly be about so he came over and found out that it was for your book and you were even selling copies of it at the event
He probably picked one up out of sheer curiosity but didn’t really plan to read it as he doesn’t really have time to do so when he’s out having adventures and looking for Crackbeard aka Teach plus I feel like he wouldn’t be all that interested in a romance novel so let’s say that he picked it up because “Oh hey! Pirate adventures!”, realized what it was actually about, and just decided to keep it
He probably stays on the island for a bit more than likely heading to a restaurant so he can get some food and probably pass out in a plate but when he gets there, he finds that the place is busy but hey no worries as they have a nice table that he can chow down at
So as he’s waiting for his food, who else should walk in but the author of the book that he bought? You were hungry and wanting to eat at your favorite restaurant but they were packed and didn’t have an available place for you
Ace saw you about to leave and the empty chair across from him so he invited you to sit with him and you jumped at the chance as you had been craving your favorite meal from this place
You ordered and the two of you sat together just waiting in a kind of awkward silence before you tried to spark a conversation cueing the two of you to wind up talking about all sorts of things as you waited
I feel like he wouldn’t be able to tell right away that you’re the author of the book so he’d probably tell you about this purchase that he made of what he thought was a cool pirate book only for it to turn out to be a romance novel
You try to suggest that he just reads it as he might like it but your food gets there and you both decide to eat although Ace passing out in his food scares the ever loving crap out of you especially when he just as suddenly wakes up
He winds up heading to the bathroom when you’ve finished your meal and you decide to cover the cost of his food as well before you leave and when Ace comes back, he finds that you’re gone when he wanted to honestly ask you on a date
He’s disappointed until he sees a piece of paper on the table, it’s your phone number and proceed to him getting all excited because “Woo! She likes me!” when written on the back of the paper is “Try the book, we can talk about it sometime!”
The two of you wind up hanging out for as long as Ace is on the island with you under the impression that you’re just friends while Ace is under the impression that you have a crush on him like you’ll be sitting there reading a book thinking that it’s a lovely day to be with such a good friend as he rests his head on your lap to take a nap thinking that it’s a great day with this girl
Eventually Ace has to leave and he decides to keep in contact with you and come back someday to ask you to be his girlfriend or potentially more than that
He’s away for quite a long time and when he finally comes back, he decides to make it a double surprise as not only is he here but he read the pirate novel that you’ve been wanting him to read as well and turns out that he did like it
But of course just like every Pages AU, he sees the authors name and realizes that you wrote it but not only that... Is it just him or is the Pirate in the story supposed to be him? Black hair, tattoo on the back, likes spicy food, and not only that but there was that scene too where he used that torch to fight and you described it as it being like he was controlling the flame!
And the ending? Well looks like he’s coming back earlier than expected! The main character who is so obviously meant to be you and the pirate love interest got married? You better bet that he’s on his way
He can’t believe it! You like him back! You love him back!! You want to get married to him!! And not only that, it looks like you may want him to fuck you senseless too on your wedding night!!
He rushes back to the island where he knows that you are, he runs all over looking for you and trying to find you only to find you at your house. You answer the door as he frantically knocks on it only to wind up with him bursting through your front door much to your surprise
He takes your hands and before you can even say hello and ask what he’s doing here, he says “Yes!! I will marry you!!” to you in this overly happy voice that just leaves you confused as you haven’t even kissed this man and he’s saying that he’ll marry you
He grabs your hands in his as he tells you about how he put the pieces together after reading your book and you should have just told him from the start that you wanted to marry him seeing as you were so insistent on wanting him to read the book
You may try to explain yourself to him but do you really think that he’s going to listen, I mean it’s not like you can say anything when his mouth covers yours in a kiss and he starts backing you up against the wall
He pulls back and claims that you might not be able to have a nice ceremony like you did in the story but he can at least give you two of the things that you wanted like getting married to him and also something long and thick which you aren’t sure what means until he lifts your legs up to wrap around his waist
There’s no stopping it now especially as the front door shuts, almost like some kind of deranged wedding god is trying to encourage this and give the two of you some alone time on your “wedding night”
And as the sound of a zipper rings out alongside the sound of your clothes ripping, I can only pray for two things for you...
I hope that you don’t have a partner and that you’re on some form of birth control...

Hello dear, I was wondering if you can do some yandere for the very infamous OP men shanks, mihawk, ace, and sabo with normal y/n who's younger than them in separate senariors..
Y/N traits : innocent, sweetheart, warm personality, enchanted beauty with extremely cutie pie face and amazing warm and calm voice that melts the snow from its sweetness it's make anyone feel at ease only by hearing it , it's one of the most reasons why those men had gone insane over her ,why they want to possess her at any cost .
TY and have a good day ☺️.
TW/CW: Yandere, Age gap is up to 3 years, obsession, implied murder, implied poisoning, mention of murder & arson, manipulation (for Sabo)
Notes: I'll be honest I have no clue how to do an innocent reader. And it's gonna be GN Sorry I don't particularly do Female readers Also sorry for not writing in so long :^
Tumblr media
Shanks
Shanks was a popular Model, he can flirt with anyone without hesitation.
Then there was you, you weren't popular at all. When he saw you he felt the urge to just... Take you.
He felt jealous of the guys around you that soaked in your attention, in your voice and innocence and especially your beauty.
He just needed it. Needed you.
Eventually he started obsessing over you trying to find every photo there was of you, eventually it got worse
Just hope for both your innocence and sanity you don't meet him.
Until you did.
And suddenly you started to notice people around you get killed, you somehow trusted the red bloody haired man with your safety.
"You'll be fine I'm here after all! All you need is me sweetheart."
After all what did you know?
You're innocent after all
And that's what made Shanks' job of getting you to be his more easier.
Mihawk
Mihawk was a famous swordsman and you were always interested in swords so naturally you took interest in Mihawk.
Unfortunately he took a interest in you as well.
You ended always staying behind the classes because of how much trouble you had with sword, you'd have small conversations with Mihawk.
Slowly Mihawk started to know everything about you and wrote of it down in a notebook that was always locked in a case.
When someone annoyed you too much or confessed to you they suddenly would fall ill and be unable to attend.
Due to Mihawk naturally being cold people didn't notice anything different about him and you didn't know better.
Though you slowly started to blame yourself because people around you would get ill and naturally they ended up dying to the illness.
"My dear... It's not your fault, they naturally fell ill. It is not your fault and anyone who is saying such things is a horrible person who is just jealous. It is unfortunate they fell ill yes but there was nothing you could do. My dear..."
You never knew why they fell ill, and you may never know.
Maybe it's better if you never did anyways.
Ace
Ace was Ace, he's a popular play boy in the town but all he did was flirt and play with hearts.
That was before you came along.
He knew he needed you once first meeting your eyes.
You were most certainly more cuter than anyone else's hearts he's played with.
He wasn't gonna break your heart, no. He could never, he was gonna make sure he was the only one in your heart not matter what he had to do.
He would do whatever you wanted to do or needed.
He'd gladly kill with no hesitation.
Want him to stab that guy who catcalled you? Done.
Want him to burn down a place that has bad memories? Done before you could mention it.
No one went near Ace when the missing people news started getting known, knowing how cold he got when it came to that, they tried to warn you how cold he could be.
You always laugh it off and hang out with him anyways.
He'd act like nothing was happening.
Why read the news when you already know it before anyone else?
You wake up from your nap when you started hearing the news "Mmmh?" Ace turns off the Tv "Don't worry about it my love just go back to sleep."
Sabo
Sabo was the second in command of a powerful business.
Once you joined everything changed.
However unlike the other three Sabo wouldn't kill, no. Sabo wouldn't want his hand or gloves dirty and blood stains too.
Sabo would figure out your favorite things to do and food and everything and give it all to you.
He'd spoil you with everything you'd ever wanted.
He'd help you with a lot of things
He sublely manipulates you into being dependent on him and him alone.
No one would dare go near you if they cared for their job or reputation.
No one went near Sabo either, Sabo didn't mind this, it just meant he could give all his attention to you.
He tested it once day by hiding on purpose.
When you realized Sabo wasn't there you got really nervous and got a bit upset, until Sabo popped
up and helped you again which you immediately calmed down when he did.
Sabo smiled at you, he was glad that his plan was working and working well.
"Please don't leave me alone..." "I promise I won't ever again my angel..." "Thank you Sabo." "Anything for you. My sweet Angel."

It took the better part of a year, but I've finally figured out where to go with Joyride. A lot of people have been asking for this, so I hope it lives up to your expectations.
Joyride (Part 2)
Part 1
Yandere Ace x GN Isekai Reader
4.8k words
Warning! This contains pretty much every Ace related spoiler btw!
When going into a world you already know everything about, you don’t exactly expect to be surprised by anything. Sure, there will be slight changes and alternate interactions now that you’ve been unceremoniously dropped in, but you had been anticipating for the story to follow all the same beats.
Which is why you were really thrown off when Ace didn’t go his separate way when he was supposed to.
Luffy had succeeded in defeating Crocodile and stopping his plan for dictatorship of Alabasta, but Ace was still here. Granted, having Ace around was hardly the worst thing that could happen, but you didn’t understand what was going on with him.
After your downright bizarre interaction during the little joyride he took you on, you’d honestly had every intention of avoiding him going forward. Then he threw a curveball at you by sincerely apologizing later that night. With everything going on right now he just got a little carried away, that’s all, he won’t harass you about it again. Or so he claimed.
You were skeptical initially, but true to his word, he hasn’t brought up you joining the Whitebeard Pirates since. Between that, and him having an unknown advantage over you by being a favorite character of yours, it was easy to find it within yourself to forgive him. You two have been borderline inseparable since, much to the chagrin of your crewmates.
While Ace hadn’t openly made further attempts to convince you to join his pops’ crew, he’d found a thinly veiled loophole in the form of telling you all kinds of stories about them. You knew this was in and of itself, a method to win you over, but deemed it not worth calling out. Besides, who were you to refuse the opportunity to get some Whitebeard Pirates lore?
There were many late nights filled with quiet conversations about various shenanigans the crew got up to in their free time, of which there were many. An unsurprising fact because of course having that many sibling jam packed onto a ship would turn it into a vessel of chaos.
If you had a weaker resolve, these stories might have won you over. But no, you need to go home.
Even though you weren’t convinced on switching crews, or even just staying here, there was a different problem arising from all your quality time together.
The longer you spoke and goofed around with him, the deeper and more intricate the conversations became, the more human he became to you. Or course, he’d technically always been a human being, but your mind had always registered him (as well as everyone else here) as a “character” first and foremost. A figure in a fictional story which you just so happened to be in temporarily.
Now? After spending so much time with him, aftering seeing him make decisions based off his own experiences and preferences rather than being dictated by some omnipotent author, things have changed. He wasn’t Portgas D. Ace, the fan favorite character from One Piece. He was just Ace, your friend.
With this came something you never saw coming. Guilt. An all consuming, agonizing guilt that picked away at you every single second of the day.
You knew what was to come. You knew what was going to happen to him. What were you doing about it? Absolutely nothing. And for what? For the sake of preserving a story that’s already been altered from your mere presence?
What a disgusting excuse of a friend you were.
The internal conflict you were going through hadn’t gone unnoticed, not when it was taking such a high toll on you. Nami was the first to start grilling you on it. Naturally, she immediately started pointing fingers at Ace as being the cause, which while not wrong, she wasn’t correct in the way she believed herself to be either. It was hardly his fault that you had a heavy conscience.
Sanji had also picked up on your struggles and was very concerned about the bags under your eyes, even offering to make some tea to assist with sleeping. An offer you turned down perhaps more harshly than truly necessary, but being trapped in a deeper sleep sounded awful with the nightmares you’ve been having.
It had been upsetting enough to watch Ace die through a screen, but in your dreams you were right there. It felt so real.
A suffocating heat burned at your skin and seared your lungs with every panicked breath, which only became more frantic as hot blood splattered over your face. Life was rapidly draining from Ace’s eyes as he collapsed into the waiting arms of his now deeply traumatized brother.
Your feet were rooted to the ground, all you could do was stare in horror as he looked up at you with tearful, pleading eyes. “Why?” The word was more so coughed out than spoken, spraying out more blood that he couldn’t afford to lose. An arm extended towards you, the hand locking onto your own. His nails dug into your skin, drawing out blood of your own to mix with his into a revolting cocktail. “You could have stopped this. How could you do this to me?”
The last word was wheezed out and his body went limp as his dead, lifeless eyes stared through you. A soul wrenching scream tore its way out of Luffy’s throat, only to morph into your own as you were mercifully ripped from your slumber.
The screaming damn near gave Ace a heart attack, you’re sure of it. This nightmare had occurred after you and him had become separated from the rest of the group while traversing the desert, and you had found a compact cave for the two of you to pass the night in.
What made it worse was how he reacted. He was so concerned, even fretting over you as you desperately tried to get your breathing under control. The compassion in his eyes had done nothing to comfort you, it only served to further sicken you. Here he was wanting to save you from something as trivial as a nightmare, yet you couldn’t be bothered to speak up on and prevent his upcoming demise.
The guilt was killing you, and the solution was not only clear, but easy. So why couldn’t you bring yourself to just tell him? To plead and beg for him to give up the chase and not throw his life away. Yet your lips remained sealed.
All of these elements came to a boil and demanded your attention, so you did what seemed to be the easiest thing to do in your situation. Drink it away.
Now that Luffy had awoken from his brief coma after fighting Crocodile, Alubarna Palace was hosting a lavish party in celebration and thanks for what everyone had done. And what high end party would be complete without absurd amounts of alcohol?
It started with one, purely to help ease your nerves. However, when it didn’t, you poured yourself another. And then a few more. Zoro had initially been thrilled to have you as a drinking buddy, but apparently even he had his limits and had cut you off.
“The hell’s gotten into you? You’re drinking like you’re trying to run from demons,” the bottle of expensive liquor had been moved out of reach when you tried to go for it again.
“You have no idea,” you slurred out, head spinning from your evening of poor decision making.
Zoro shot you a questioning look, but didn’t press it, likely knowing full well that getting a coherent conversation out of you right now would be impossible. He heaved out a sigh and stood up, “I’m going to get you some water, stay right there.”
Thoroughly defeated, you slumped back into your chair. After all that, you still couldn’t get your dilemma out of your head. Your “demons” continued gnawing at your soul, and all that your drinking had done about it was ensure that you would have a miserable hangover in the morning.
Your head lulled to the side, and you caught sight of a familiar orange hat. Speak of the devil. While you were in the throws of self inflicted misery, Ace was happily taking advantage of all the food being offered. Good for him. He deserved a nice night.
As if acting on its own, your body managed to get up onto its feet. You shambled towards him, doing your best not to fall flat on your face with each uncoordinated step. Whatever invisible force that had been helping you to make the walk to Ace failed you at the last second, and you crashed into him from behind.
“Shit! Wha- Oh, it’s just you,” Ace whirled around, visibly agitated, but his features relaxed when he realized who it was. He appeared to be ready to say more but you cut him off.
“I need to talk to you.”
Ace quirked a brow, “Yeah? What’s up?”
From the expectant look he was giving you, it’s clear that he’s waiting for you to spill your guts here and now. You shook your head, “No, it’s… It’s a secret. We have to go somewhere else.” Realization flashed across his face and he nodded. Fortunately for you, he led the way. You honestly did not think you’d be able to scout out a place for this discussion. You were finally going to come clean and tell him everything before you could sober up and come to your senses.
It was going well. At least it was, until he passed out and took you down with him. You both collided onto the floor with a resounding thud, him on top of you. The hall you’d slipped into was empty, meaning there was no one here to help you.
You groaned as you attempted to move, the fall had hit you harder than it should have thanks to the copious amounts of alcohol in your system. You were also mentally kicking yourself for not seeing this coming. He was eating when you stumbled into him, of course it was only a matter of time before this happened.
Whatever, there isn’t time to be bemoaning a minor inconvenience. You manage to shimmy out from under him and use the wall to get to your feet. Ace is snoring on the floor, not a care in the world. Hopefully he’ll wake up soon.
Taking a look around, you see a door just a couple steps away. You inch your way over to it and try the knob. It clicks open, and you peer in. Looks like some sort of guest room, and it’s empty. Perfect.
Pushing the door open fully, you turn back to Ace. He’s still asleep, but you don’t want to wait around for him to wake up on his own and run the risk of being seen. You lean down to grab the closest part of him, his right foot, and pull. You’re not sure if he’s actually heavy, or if you’re just too drunk for this, but you tip over while trying to do this and fall flat on your ass.
“Huh?” Ace’s head snapped up and he looked around owlishly. The second his eyes connected with yours, he remembered what he was doing before his narcoleptic tendencies took the wheel. He laughed, a light blush on his face, as he got to his feet, “Sorry about that, you alright?”
“I’m fine, get in here,” you urged him to hurry, which he did. In the time it took you to stand again, Ace had already slipped into the room, closed the door, and flicked on a lamp so you two wouldn’t be talking in complete darkness. You eye the door for a moment, then grab a chair and drag it over to wedge it under the doorknob. Someone walking in on the conversation you were about to have would be something of a worst case scenario.
Ace watched this curiously, “Is everything okay?”
This probably looked weird, but oh well, it’s about to get a lot weirder. You decide to sit on the bed and motion for Ace to join you, which he does. You take one of his hands in both of yours and stare at him intensely, “I need to tell you something. It’s going to sound insane, but you need to promise me you won’t tell anyone about this.”
He repeated his previous question, asking again if everything was okay, but you cut him off, “Promise me, please!”
Your desperation got through to him, “Okay, I promise! What’s going on?”
Here goes nothing. You take a deep breath and take the leap, “You need to stop going after Blackbeard.”
Ace recoiled immediately, and if you hadn’t been holding onto his hand for dear life, he probably would have backed away from you. “What? I can’t do that, why would y-”
“Let me finish!” You snapped at him, only to immediately regret it. You sighed, “Please. There’s more, please let me finish talking first, and then you can talk.”
While he did not look happy about it, he did relax his shoulders and settled back into the bed. You took this as your cue to continue, “You need to stop going after Blackbeard because you will die if you do.” Ace exhaled sharply and rolled his eyes at this, assuming that this was coming from a place of fear and doubt.
“I know this because,” you took in a shuddering breath, steeling yourself for what was to come. “I know this because in the world that I came from… This world is a story.”
Ace stares at you wide eyed and slack jawed. He laughed, but was very clearly uncomfortable, “I, uh, I think you’ve had a little too much to drink tonight. How about I take you back to your room to sleep it off, okay?”
He tried to stand, but you yanked him back down, “No! I’m not drunk! Well, I mean, I am, but I know what I’m talking about! I can prove it.”
His expression was nothing short of incredulous, but he indulged you, “Yeah, okay, sure. Go ahead, prove it.”
“You’re hunting down Blackbeard because he murdered Thatch so he could steal his devil fruit,” you started light. Ace had told you about Thatch being the one he was avenging, but he’d never mentioned the devil fruit before, likely not deeming it an important enough detail. His brows knit together and his eyes drifted upwards as he racked his brain to remember if maybe he actually had said something about it.
“Before you were with Whitebeard, you were captain of the Spade Pirates. Your first member was Masked Deuce, who you met while being stranded on an island together. It’s where you found your devil fruit and built Striker,” he hadn’t told you anything in regards to his old crew, and his face reflected that. You definitely had his attention now.
“You and Luffy were raised by mountain bandits because Garp couldn’t raise you two himself. It wasn’t just you guys, though, you had another brother named Sabo, but he was killed when he tried to set sail and got shot down,” at this point, you were saying whatever came to mind with no regard to whether or not it was a good idea to say this right now. You couldn’t bring yourself to keep looking him in the eye, so you settled for staring at his hand in yours. It was completely slack.
“Your parents are Portgas D. Rouge and Gol D. R-”
Before you could finish the sentence, Ace’s free hand clamped over your mouth with such ferocity that you almost fell off the bed. Forcing yourself to make eye contact again, you see that his are blown wide and wild. The color has been drained from his face and he looked physically ill from hearing everything you just threw at him.
An extremely tense moment passed with nothing to be heard beyond his labored breathing. Then, he hesitantly let go of your face and with a shaky voice said, “Okay. I’m sorry. I believe you. What… What’s going to happen if I keep pursuing Blackbeard?”
You attempted to swallow the lump in your throat, but it refused to go away, “When you catch up with him, you’ll fight, but lose. Your powers are no match for his, you don’t stand a chance against him. After your loss, he turns you in to the marines.
“Because of who your father is, they decide to make an example out of you and sentence you to death.”
“That bastard turns me in and I get executed?” He sounds like the wind has just been knocked out of him. Disbelief and bitterness are the two most prevalent emotions in his tone, but many others brew beneath the surface.
“Not exactly,” it’s true that he gets turned in and killed, but it’s nowhere near that simple and straightforward. “Luffy comes to your rescue at Marineford, and so does Whitebeard and a lot of his crew.”
Before you could go more into detail, Ace speaks up, “They… W-Why would they do that?”
“Why would they- You have to ask?!” Your voice raises and you have to remind yourself of just how much character development he has to go through in that arc to finally realize and accept the fact that he’s genuinely loved. “Because you’re family, their family! They care about you and don’t want to see you die!”
Your outburst shocked him, but not as much as seeing you start to cry did. His hand is abandoned and you lurch forward to bring him into a suffocatingly tight hug, “Y-You are so loved, you know that? They l-love you so much! A lot of people do! I do! We all want to see you live and be happy!” You limply hang off of him as more tears bubble to the surface, greedily taking the chance to escape with every sob as you finally let out everything you’ve been keeping in. Ace makes no move to return your embrace, he just sits there stiff as a board.
“A-And, at that battle, you’re killed by Admiral Akainu while protecting Luffy. He’s devastated by it, being forced to watch you die hurts him so bad,” you cling onto him tighter upon feeling him flinch from your words. “Whitebeard dies there too.”
“What?! How could anyone kill him? That can’t be right!” You’re wrenched off Ace violently and his stare is almost as unhinged as it was when you said his parents’ names.
“Blackbeard does it,” Ace freezes at this. “That should give you an idea of how strong he is. If he can kill Whitebeard, fighting you is nothing to him. Besides, you of all people would know how hard it is to kill him,” you chuckle but it’s humorless, empty even.
A heavy stretch of silence follows after that. Ace’s eyes don’t leave your face for even a second, desperately searching for anything that would tell him that this is all one big, sick joke. But there’s nothing of the sort.
Slowly, he releases your shoulders and he shifts away from you to rest his head in his hands. Without his support, you allow yourself to fall back onto the bed. Between all the alcohol and your emotional outburst, you’re exhausted and want nothing more than to sleep. You try to force yourself to stay awake, but it feels like an insurmountable task.
“Hey, Ace?” There’s no answer, but you continue anyway, “I’m sorry. I know that was a lot. If, um… If you don’t believe me about knowing what’s going to happen, stick around until after we set sail again. Bon Clay- Mr. 2- is going to bring the Going Merry over here so that we don’t have to backtrack. Marines will be all over the place, but he sacrifices himself so that Luffy and his crew can get away. Once they’ve lost the marines, Nico Robin will reveal herself to have been hiding on the ship and joins the crew.”
Ace continues to not react to what’s being said, you’re not even sure he’s listening to you at this point. As much as you want to comfort him, your limbs feel like lead and your head is swimming. The last thing you see is the jolly roger of the Whitebeard’s staring you down as you fade into darkness.
Consciousness comes back to you slowly. Painfully so. Before you can even make out your surroundings, you’re assaulted by the worst headache of your life. The stabbing pain behind your eyes is crippling, all you want is to retreat back to the comfort of sleep, but you know that’s not going to happen.
It doesn’t help that your mouth is so dry that you feel like you’re back in the desert. One hand comes up to gingerly massage your eyes. The action brought more discomfort than relief, but it did clear up your sight a little.
As your senses ebb back into you, you hone in on the pressure all over your body. It takes considerable effort, but you manage to lift your head enough to take a look. Your nose is less than an inch from bumping into someone else’s. Chopper’s to be exact. He was curled up into your side and using your chest as a pillow. Looking past him, Luffy was sprawled across your lap, belly up. Both of them were still asleep.
You prop yourself up on one arm. Chopper shifts, but doesn’t wake. Off to your side is a bedside table with a glass of water on it. Oh, thank God. Using the arm you aren’t propped up with, you grab it and bring the cup to your lips. The water is divine, an absolute blessing for your dry throat.
As you enjoy your drink, your eyes glance around to observe the rest of the room. It’s the one you all have been staying in since saving Alabasta. Most of your friends are in their respective beds, except for Chopper and Luffy, obviously. Zoro was also not in his bed, instead being slumped over in a chair next to your own.
Your eyes flicker over to the massive windows of the room, and you spot Ace sitting in the windowsill. From the way he’s positioned, he appears to be awake already. Your gaze narrows as you focus on him. Something tickled at the back of your mind, demanding to be remembered. But what?
“Y-You are so loved, you know that? They l-love you so much! A lot of people do! I do! We all want to see you live and be happy!”
The water going down your throat is suddenly going out of it when you choke. Memories come back and hit you like a train as you realize what exactly it is you did last night.
Naturally, this wakes up Chopper and Luffy, who are both jolted from their once peaceful sleep by you choking on your drink. Chopper immediately starts to panic, “AH! Don’t die, (Y/N)!”
It was crucial that you speak to Ace again, but it seemed like the world itself was committed to making sure that didn’t happen. Ace slipped out of the room while everyone was fussing over you, and it honestly felt like he was avoiding you now. Everytime you thought you might be able to catch him alone, either he vanishes, or someone else comes out of nowhere to drag you away.
Today was the day you all set sail from Alabasta, and while that did put you in close proximity with Ace, it also put everyone else within earshot of you two. And considering the delicate nature of what you needed to talk about, that was extremely inconvenient.
The only good thing was that the events following leaving Alabasta played out exactly how they were supposed to. Hopefully that meant that Ace would believe you and give up hunting down Blackbeard, but you won’t be able to confirm that unless you speak with him.
You were so stressed that you’d barely been able to focus on Robin being here. She “introduced” herself to you as if she hadn’t had an extremely uncomfortable run in with you in an alleyway back in Rainbase, but all you could manage was a half-assed handshake before excusing yourself.
For probably the fifteenth time today, you checked to make sure that Striker was still tied to the Merry. It was, much to your relief. But where was Ace hiding? You haven’t seen him since Robin showed herself.
The stress of trying and failing to corner him was doing nothing to help with your hangover, your head felt like it was about to explode. Did you still have Advil in the bag you got isekai’d here with? Maybe. Pushing off the railing, you march to where your room is while praying that you’re right about the painkillers.
You open the door without much thought, only to stop dead in your tracks when you catch sight of Ace rummaging through your belongings and stuffing them into his backpack. The door opening did briefly make him stop and peer over his shoulder to see who it was, but the second he saw it was you, he went right back to pillaging.
“Can I help you? Why are you robbing me?” You stomp over to where he’s crouched down and shove his shoulder.
“I’m not robbing you, I’m packing for you,” Ace mumbled, sounding lost in thought.
“Why would you be packing for me? Actually, you know what? That’s the least of my concerns right now, we need to talk about last night.”
“We’ll talk about it later, not here.” He still hasn’t properly faced you, and you were getting sick of only making eye contact with his tattoo and not him.
“Where else would we talk about it?!” You hissed.
Seeming content with his work, he stood up and kicked the dresser drawer shut, “On the Striker. Or maybe the Moby Dick, I guess. I’m going back and you’re coming with me.”
You can’t believe what you’re hearing, “Excuse me?”
“I’m going back to the Moby Dick, and you’re coming with me.” Ace had finally turned to face you. His eyes were sunken and vaguely bloodshot.
The sight catches you off guard, “Did you sleep at all last night?”
He shook his head, “No, we’re going to have to stop somewhere else to sleep before going the rest of the way back home.”
“Ace, I’m not going with you. Look, I’m happy that you’re calling off your hunt, relieved honestly, but I’m staying here.” You will ideally be figuring out how to go home sometime soon, there’s no sense in hopping around from crew to crew now.
One of his eyes twitched, and he looked exasperated, “You can’t stay here. You aren’t safe here.”
“What are you-”
“Let me finish,” the words were spoken calmly, but very firm. “I don’t think you understand how serious this is. You apparently know everything about this world and what’s going to happen in it, do you have any idea what will happen to you if word gets out about this?”
“You’re the only person I’ve told, so as long as you keep your mouth shut, I’ll be fine.”
“Until you get drunk again and tell someone else, then what?” His words were just as scathing as his gaze.
Your face flushed in shame, “That won’t happen again.”
“You don’t know that!” Ace snapped at you, then sighed and dragged a hand down his face, “This is for your own good. Nothing good will come from anyone else learning about this. If it ever got back to someone like Big Mom, she would send every single one of her children after you so she could have you on her side. And that’s the nicer option. I’m sure the marines would be more than happy to kill you off so that no one else could have you if they can’t.”
Throughout this entire conversation, his face had remained uncomfortably neutral, but now it cracked. Fondness peaked through the exhaustion as his expression softened ever so slightly. He steps forwards and brings you against him in a crushing embrace. His skin is hot to the touch, effectively chasing away any chill that you may have had.
“You said you wanted to see me live, and I want to see you live, too.” The words are hushed, you wouldn’t have been able to hear him if he hadn’t been speaking right next to your ear.
Reluctantly, he pulls himself away. His face is serious again, “We’re leaving tonight, be ready to go.”
“But-”
“If you don’t come willingly, I will make you. The only thing that you resisting will accomplish is making this messier than it needs to be. Even if you don’t like this now, you will thank me for it later.”
Ace spins on his heel and heads for the door. All you can do is stand there gawking at him as he leaves. Just before the door closes behind him, he spares a glance over his shoulder to say, “I’ll see you tonight.”

Yet again, this fic is inspired by @lovelybrooke ‘s Isekai reader stories.
I also want to say thank you for all the support and kind comments on the last story I wrote! I’ve actually been working on my own yandere one piece fic that I’m hoping to start posting in a few days give or take, so if you like what I’ve written so far, keep an eye out for that! All future writings are gonna be posted on my writing blog @rollinouttahere-writes so go follow that blog if you’re interested!

Trying to act normal and inconspicuous in the One Piece universe was a far from easy task. Being the massive fan of the series that you were, it was damn hard to not give away that you knew all about the crew that was so generously letting you stay with them after appearing on their ship with zero explanation.
It became even harder to stay lowkey when Ace temporarily joined up with the Strawhats. All you wanted was to hug that man and tell him how loved he is and that he deserves to live just as much as anyone else, but you really couldn’t say or do any of that without looking weird. You’ll just have to settle for being extremely nice to him, which was very easy.
Ace himself was already an easy guy to get along with (now at least), but he was noticeably very interested in you. You couldn’t blame him, what with Luffy almost immediately outing your insane situation to him. He seemed incredulous at first, but warmed up to and accepted the story way faster than you expected. It didn’t take long for his questions to go from feeling like an interrogation to being genuine.
You were so busy soaking up the attention from such a beloved character that you almost missed how jealous your crewmates were getting. Luffy, Usopp, and Chopper were taking it the best. Chopper probably because he was still so new to the crew that he wasn’t all that bothered by one of them not paying as much attention to him. Usopp was too busy building Nami’s weapon to concern himself with it too much. Meanwhile, Luffy was just so happy to see Ace again that he didn’t really notice that you were spending a lot of time with him. That, and he would usually be hanging out with both of you anyways.
The others though, oh boy did they not like this. Nami was the most blatant about it, straight up glowering at you and Ace whenever you two were too close for her liking. You’re pretty sure the only thing keeping her from up and dragging you away from him is Luffy dismissing her complaints and telling her to stop fretting over it. You love being a part of their crew, so she should quit worrying!
Sanji and Zoro were both vying for your attention in their own ways as well. Sanji suddenly wanted more help around the kitchen, insisting that he needed an extra pair of hands now that there was another mouth to feed. Given that Ace’s appetite was on par with Luffy’s, you could understand the desire for help. Zoro’s attempts were considerably less convincing. One time he wanted you to spot him while he was working out, making you laugh right in his face at the mere idea that you would be able to help him with the ridiculous weights he lifts. His face had gone bright red after you pointed it out to him, prompting him to walk away immediately, much to your amusement.
Right now, though, you weren’t with Ace. Him and Luffy were busy doing something and you didn’t want to butt in on all their time together. Instead, you were ogling Ace’s boat that was currently tied to the side of the Going Merry.
You absolutely loved the design of his ship, it was such a clever idea to use his devil fruit ability to power a steam engine and make what looks like a tiny sailboat function like a jet ski. It didn’t appear in the anime too many times but everytime it was on screen it looked so cool.
“I wonder what it’d be like to ride that,” you quietly mused to yourself.
“Wanna find out?”
You almost jumped out of your skin at the sudden arrival of Ace. He laughed at your reaction, not a care in the world for the near heart attack he just gave you.
“Oh my God, Ace, you scared the hell out of me!” You lightly slapped at his shoulder, your other hand resting over your now racing heart.
He laughed some more, “I could tell, and I’m sorry about that.” He didn’t sound even vaguely sorry. Ace elbowed your side, “But seriously, do you want to go for a ride?”
The offer had you staring wide-eyed at him. Then the boat. Then back at him again. “Really? Are you sure?” You were desperately trying to keep your cool and not show how insanely excited you were about the idea.
“Of course! I wouldn’t have offered it if I wasn’t. Come on,” he hopped up onto the railing and held his hand out to you. You didn’t need to mull it over, eagerly taking hold and stepping up with him. As soon as you did, he wrapped an arm around you and was ready to jump down onto his boat when Nami started yelling.
“Woah, woah, woah, what the hell are you two doing???” Nami, who was previously pruning her trees, had abandoned the activity entirely in favor of sprinting over to where you were and grabbing onto your leg.
“(Y/N) wanted to try riding my boat, so we’re going for a little joyride, that’s all,” Ace flashed Nami a dazzling smile, not at all deterred by her interruption.
“No way! What if they fall off? That thing doesn’t look safe at all!” Nami was now pulling on you, trying to get you down from the railing.
Ace held on tighter in response, “It’s perfectly safe, it has to be. I’m a devil fruit user, remember? (Y/N) isn’t, so really, I’m in more danger on that than they are. It’s fine.”
You could tell Nami was ready to argue more, but thankfully Luffy piped up, “Don’t worry about it Nami! If Ace says it’s safe then it’s safe!” Luffy, who was perched on his special seat at the bow, came bounding over, “But I wanna go next!”
“Sure thing, Luffy, we’ll be back in a bit,” Ace was quick to jump down with you in tow, not wanting to give any of the other Strawhats a chance to object. After untying it from the Going Merry, he knelt down slightly, “Hop on my back, you’re not gonna want to have your feet down there when we get going.”
Not wanting to get set on fire, you obliged. If you weighed anything to him, he didn’t show it, simply standing up straight as soon as you were on. “Ready?”
You excitedly nod your head, holding on tight to Ace in preparation. It was a good thing too, because he decided to immediately start at the leisurely speed of what felt like mach 7. A shriek emits from your throat as you take off. You think you can hear Nami yelling something again, but couldn’t make it out over your own screaming and the noise of the steam engine roaring to life.
Ace laughed loudly at your reaction, but did slow down slightly, “Sorry about that, I just wanted to get some distance before anyone else tried to stop us.” One of his arms let go of your leg and tugged at your arms around his neck, “But would you mind easing up a bit? I won’t be able to take us back if you choke me out.”
“Oh oops, I’m sorry!” You immediately loosened your arms and readjusted them. Accidentally strangling Ace was not something you wanted to do today. Or any day really.
He simply shrugged it off, telling you not to worry about it. It’s not like you could really hurt him. “I’m gonna speed up again, you ready for it this time?”
The second you confirm that you are, the boat lurches forward, cutting through the waves like nothing. Now that you weren’t panicking, you could properly take in the experience and thoroughly enjoy it.
The wind was whipping through your hair and sea water misted the air, droplets clinging to both yours and Ace’s hair. He hit a particularly big wave causing the boat to go airborne for a moment before crashing back down. You found yourself laughing and cheering as Ace continued to show off, which only egged him on more.
After a while, Ace slowed to a stop and let you down from his back. “C’mere, step up on this,” he stepped to the side and motioned for you to step up onto the front of his boat. His hands rested on your hips to keep you steady, presumably not wanting to get chewed out by Nami if you came back sopping wet.
“This is one of the best parts of being at sea,” he was staring straight ahead. “Sunsets out here are something else, you don’t get a view like this on land.”
He was completely correct, it was beautiful. Orange, red, and pink hues colored the sky and reflected gorgeously in the ocean. It was a breathtaking view, one you would remember forever.
The two of you fell into a comfortable silence, quietly admiring the view with nothing but the natural sounds of the ocean around you. It was nice, very peaceful.
“What do you think about staying here?”
You tense at Ace suddenly speaking. “Like staying out here a little longer?” As lovely as this was, the others were bound to get antsy if you stayed out after dark.
“No, I mean staying here in this world,” he stepped closer to you, wrapping his arms fully around you and resting his head on your shoulder to be able to see your face. “It’s nice here, right? Why not stick around? I know Luffy wants you to. Hell, I’m sure the rest of the crew does, too.”
You were taken aback by this statement, and weren’t really sure how to respond. Sure, it could be nice here when you all weren’t being hunted for sport by marines, but this wasn’t a place you could see yourself staying long term. That, and you had a life back home, you couldn’t just throw your friends and family to the wind like that.
Sucking in a breath, you searched for the nicest way to say all that. “It is nice here, but I have to go back.” You could feel his posture stiffen behind you, “Don’t get me wrong, you all have been super nice to me! It’s just that I’ve got all my friends and family back home and I miss them terribly.”
“Your family?” Ace said this so quietly that you weren’t even sure he was saying that to you. Abruptly, he straightened up, “I know! If you want a family so bad you can join the Whitebeard pirates!”
What? You joining the Whitebeard pirates? You already feel inadequate enough around the Strawhats, you can’t imagine how pathetic you would feel around those people. Of course, it would be awesome to get to meet them, but you want to keep to yourself as much as possible since you will eventually have to go back home.
While you were thinking, Ace kept going, “Pops would love you, I just know it. We haven’t gotten another sibling in a while, everyone would be psyched to meet you.” His once comforting hug was growing tighter by the second. Suffocating even.
“Ace-”
“And you already have friends with my brother’s crew, so that’s all taken care of!”
“Ace, ple-”
“Of course, I’m your friend too, but after you join I’ll be your big brother!”
“ACE!” Your yell startled him, mercifully making him let go of you. You take the opportunity to inch forward and create some distance, however minute.  “That’s,” oh, how to put this without hurting his feelings, “that’s very kind of you to offer, but I’d rather stay with the Strawhats for now.”
“Oh…” You don’t even need to turn around to know how disappointed he was by this declaration. He chuckled awkwardly, “I’m sorry about that, looks like I got a little carried away there.”
“It’s fine, don’t worry about it,” frankly, you just wanted to go back to the ship after that. The atmosphere was uncomfortable now.
After a few more seconds of silence, Ace cleared his throat and spoke again, “We should probably head back now, it’s gonna be dark soon.”
You were quick to agree and clambered onto his back, “Yeah that’s a good idea, Nami would throw a fit if we stay out much longer.” She’ll probably be mad regardless, but still.
Ace got his boat going and began the trip back. The Going Merry was a lot further away than you’d realized, it was so small that you could just barely make it out in the distance. You internally cringe, your crewmates are no doubt unhappy about you being this far away.
Despite the distance, you couldn’t help but notice how slow Ace was going compared to earlier. It’s like he wanted to drag this out for as long as possible. You decided not to call him out on it, not deeming it worth it.
“I’m not giving up, you know.”
“What?”
“I’ll drop it for now, but I’m not giving up on you joining Whitebeard’s crew. Just… think about it, okay?” Ace’s voice was quiet, just barely loud enough to hear over the engine.
The rest of the ride back remained dead silent, giving you plenty of time to mull over what just happened. It felt so… Weird. Out of character, really. He’s known you for, what? 24 hours? If that. Yet he’s trying to talk you out of going home and seems dead set on replacing your family with his own. Granted, everyone’s been more clingy than you thought normal, but this was downright bizarre.
You really need to find a way home, and fast.

Yandere One Piece - Irish/Nordic Fae Folk Myth X F!Reader - Pookah!Luffy
PROLOGUE Pookah - a mischievous yet friendly fae, capable of shapeshifting into any form as they please - malevolent ones included. Legends have told that anyone lucky or unlucky enough to get a ride from Pookah will experience the wildest travel of their lives.
You barely have the time to calm yourself when the Pookah circles you around like a wolf waiting for its prey to move. You’ve been here for a few minutes and already you encountered a fairy folk! Fortunately, luck seemed to be on your side - Pookahs are not relatively dangerous unless you treat them with care.
However, Pookah’s personality is proven to be quite a challenge,  considering this one has the childish personality of a hyperactive boy, drunk with too many candies. Also, he seems to be the talkative type too, jumping around whenever you tried to side-stepped him.
“A human! Sweet! Haven’t seen a human for a while! I mean, on my side anyway. My brothers saw humans all the time because they got permission for it, but I don’t!” The Pookah grumbled, “They said that I need to practice more on my human transformation, but I think it’s perfect!” He gestured towards himself, forgetting about his longish furry ears and tail.
“I… see. That’s very nice, but I have to go.”
Frustratingly, Luffy seems to follow you around, not giving you a moment of rest. It did not help that he had no sense of personal space, always coming in inches close to you - a new toy that he had never seen.
“By the way, my name is Luffy! What’s yours?”
You are about to instinctively answer but a particular warning from your parents hit you on the head. An iron-clad superstition rules that any good children must follow to survive Grand Line if they happened to stumble upon it.
Never tell them your real name, Y/N. That’s how they control you - words have more power in the fairy world than in the human world.
Frowning, you turned your head away from Luffy, “You don’t need to know.”
“Aw, you’re no fun! What am I supposed to call you then? Seaweed? Meat-girl? Oh! I can call you… ‘Wet Blankie’! Because, you know-”
“Alright, I got it! Call me any way you like but you’ll never find out what my name is!” You boldly asserted, keeping to yourself that you can endure the humiliation of being weirdly dubbed for now.
“Fine!” Luffy stuck his tongue out, “...wet blankie.” he added the last part with a laugh, earning him a scowl.
Hurriedly, you walked at a faster pace, hoping to leave the Pookah to his ministrations
“So, whatcha doing here? Are you going somewhere?” “No, I’m lost! I don’t know where I am, what time is it…” You trailed mournfully, “I even started to lose my way around this place.”
“Oh well, Grand Line can be a maze sometimes. Heck, even my friend, Zoro got lost here plenty of times… and he’s a native!”
A certain name from Luffy’s speech puts you into a standstill horror, “Grand Line? As in… THE Grand Line? I’m here in THAT Grand Line?”
“Dang, no need to say three times. But yeah, you’re in Grand Line! You’ll love it! There are so many fun places here - there are so many interesting things happening around here-”
A shudder of panic courses through your body, “No, no, no, no, no! I’m not supposed to be here! My parents told me to stay away from this place! That’s where the fairy folks live, I’ve heard stories of what they’ll do to humans! I have to get out of here!”
Unbeknownst to you, Luffy studied you a little more carefully than the first time he met you. As if he can sense something beyond your appearance.
“That’s… an interesting way to put it,” Luffy droned, “Somehow, you felt different than other humans who fell here.” “You mean there are other humans besides me here?” “Great!” You raised your hands exasperatedly, “I’m lost in this god-forsaken forest,  I can’t find my classmates, and I’m supposed to be home right now! But I’m stuck here! This sucks!” You sobbed
“If you like to… I can give you a ride,” Luffy smiled gently, “I know my way around Grand Line, I can take you to the entrance.” You gasped indignantly at his idiocy, “Are you mad? I can’t trust fairies - that’s the third most important rule that everybody knows!” Luffy’s eyebrows raised in confusion, “Really? Then what’s the second one? I mean, you did tell me the first rule is-”
“-not to reveal my real name to a fairy, I KNOW. You KNOW,” You repeated the rule as if you were schooling a first grader, “The second rule is not to eat and drink anything that the fairies offer.”
“What?!” Luffy jumped in horror, “That’s a terrible rule! You can't do that! Everybody has to eat! Who made that? This is the first time I’ve ever heard it!”
You rolled your eyes in irritation, “Not if you’re a human. They’ll be bound to the fairy world forever if they eat anything in here, and I still want to go home.”
“Not if I can ask the bigwigs to change it!” An optimistic grin burst from Luffy’s face, “I mean, I managed to change a few rules after causing some trouble from time to time again. Which reminds me - I need to hide from my grandpa - he is so pissed off after I destroyed the palace’s garden the other day.”
“You do that while I’m searching for any entrances here,” you murmured, slipping by Luffy.
“Alright, suit yourself!” Luffy shrugged nonchalantly.
Time passed, and you still need to find an entrance. You felt as if the forest was keen on making you even more lost on your path - each shrub seemed to change, pebbles moving out of your marked gaze, not giving you the slightest hope of any exit. What makes matters worse is that you estimated that the sun will set soon. The risk of falling under the clutches of the fairy folk increases with each second you have wasted.
Just as you circled anguishedly around the rock for the fourth time, Luffy popped back again, keeping his irritating grin at your hopeless attempt. “You know, I still can help-”
“Oh, alright!” You snapped, realizing that it’s futile to rely on your own… for now, “But be warned - I have ways to kill you if you break your promise. Got it?”
“Sure thing! I can still take you on if you do! Shishishi!” Luffy innocently chuckled - you felt tempted to smack his head at his indifference.
In just one breath, Luffy transformed himself into a creature that wasn’t a horse but not a mammal either. It was more of like… a rabbit-horse. You were hesitant to approach him but Luffy casually grinned again, lowering his back before.
“Hop on! Don’t worry, I’ll make sure that you won’t fall!”
“I’ll make sure of it too.” You murmured, climbing onto his back.
Luffy is proof that all legends about Pookah giving their passengers the wildest ride of their lives are true. As you let yourself settle in, Luffy sprints at a breakneck speed - so fast and rough that you must hang onto his neck for your dear life. You didn’t even try to utter a scream, only small whimpers in fear of biting your tongue.
So many thoughts ran through your head. Is it a mistake to trust Luffy? How much time had passed - hopefully you would only miss a day or two. And will you make it out of here? You can almost imagine yourself running through the exit out of Grand Line, ignoring any of Luffy’s farewells and just stomping straight to Stelly and Sarie, giving them the beating of their lifetimes at the dining hall. There was also a huge hope that you would be reunited home again with your parents, maybe you could explain why you had lost your iron earrings and being in the Grand Line in the first place-
Luffy suddenly came to an abrupt stop. Before you can recollect yourself, Luffy turned back into his default form, unaware that he let his occupant fall behind his back.
You quickly rose to your feet, nursing your sore arm, “W-Wha? Why did you stop-?”
Luffy’s eyes grimaced, “Someone’s in our path. Look.” Luffy pointed towards a figure in a near distance.
It was a male fairy - an intimidating one at that. Build impressively in a visage fit for royalty, but contains plenty of rebelliousness on the side. Freckles adorn his face like stars and black, wavy hair frames his fiery visage. Behind his back are a pair of transparent, fiery wings that almost resemble that of a hawk. By mortal standards, he is… magnificent.
Your blood ran cold. You recognize the mark on his wings from the illustrations that your mother once drew. She is an impressive artist, painting one bestiary after another with near accuracy. There was no doubt that right in front of your mortal eyes was the son of the Fairy King himself, Portgas D. Ace.
The very same one who thinks burning mortals who pissed him off can be considered normal in Grand Line.
“Wha- what is he doing here? H-H-He’s not supposed to be here-” You stammered.
“Who’s not here who?” Luffy stared at you in question.
“That fairy! Ace! I heard stories about him - he’s dangerous! We have to go!” You furiously shook your head, already searching for a hiding spot.
Upon looking at the fairy in question, Luffy’s face lightens up, “Oh, yeah! You’re right! That’s my brother! OII! ACE-!”
You felt your heart drop at this revelation. Brother. He just has to be Luffy’s brother - why not? It didn’t help that Ace’s attention was stirred by Luffy’s ruckus. Rushing to Luffy’s side, you grabbed his arm as tightly as possible.
“No!” You pleaded, shaking, “Don’t let him see me! I can’t be seen by a fae folk, especially him!”
“What? Why not? I know Ace very well, he won’t hurt-”
“Luffy, please.”
There was a slight hesitation when Luffy analyzed the fear in your voice. It was a gamble, whether or not Luffy would listen to you. Pouting always works, that’s how you got a leeway from the authorities if you happen to be in any sort of problem - like that time you accidentally broke Mayor Woodlsap’s window for a lighter punishment from him. You put your best one yet, coupled with a doe eye that made you seem helpless and innocent.
A few seconds later, Luffy solemnly nodded, “Okay, I won’t tell him that you’re here. Just hide wherever you can, alright? I’ll come and get you when he’s gone.”
You didn’t think twice and made a run for the nearest bushes and rocks that concealed your entire body. Your head peered out upon the two fairy brothers conversing after Ace made his way to Luffy.
Everything about Ace is breathtaking. His beauty is every bit as true as the stories told by swoony-eyed village women. You also have to remind yourself - thanks to your father’s stern warnings time and time again - that Ace is also well-known for his trickery. He is a fairy that would burn humans into a pile of dust or turn them into trinkets if he fancies.
The fact that Ace is unpredictably harmful.
It felt like forever when you counted until five minutes passed by, trying to make out what Ace was saying to Luffy. He seems to whisper something into Luffy’s ears, but the distance is far too wide for you to listen. So you rely on your eyes instead, observing Luffy’s face slowly form into an enthusiastic expression as Ace conversed excitedly with his brother.
You silently breathed in relief when Luffy waved goodbye to Ace, gently coaxing you out of the hiding spot, “He’s gone, don’t worry.”
“What are you talking about with Ace?” You brushed off the dirt in a hurry and climbed to Luffy’s back once more.
“Noooo….thing?” Luffy innocently answered - you rolled your eyes.
“Okay, fine. How far are we to the edge of the entrance?”
“Won't be long now. We just need to make a BIIIG dash straight there…” Luffy pointed straight at a cluster of trees.
“Alright,” you nodded, “Let’s go.”
You barely notice a sliver of Luffy’s dark grin as he runs with all his might towards the clearing. You ignored all the branches, the leaves, and the force of the wind that blinded you - all you care about is reaching the end - to home.
A bright light blinded you at the end of the path. When Luffy stops and lets you off his back carefully, you slowly adjust your eyes to the new surroundings.
But it wasn't the entrance as you might have hoped.
It was a lakeside.
A lakeside that is also full of various fairy folks - bathing and playing and hanging around one another.
It dawns on you that Ace had persuaded his brother to lead you to a trap.
“Hey, guys!” Luffy shouted, dragging you towards them, “I brought a new friend!”
A green-haired demon-like fae folk sighed exasperatedly, getting out of the water, “Luffy. How many times do we have to tell you not to bring any more weird people-”
That’s when his eyes landed on you.
Everything went quiet. Several eyes gazed upon you in interest for a few seconds.
And then it exploded into elated chatters.
Oh no.
“Luffy…” A blonde nymph-like man with swirly eyebrows eyed you as if his birthday came early, “You didn't tell me that you caught a human girl.”
His statement brought an ominous wonder to the rest of the occupants in the lake.
“Somehow, you know how to lighten our day, Luffy.” A fae with a top hat chuckled, already getting up from his position, and making his way carefully around you.
“Come little human, would you like to join us…?” A pretty maiden with long dark hair and piercing blue gaze, a Huldufolk, she recognized, put down her book, and extended her arm at her.
“Listen up, I want her first.” A large troll with red hair quipped, taking in your fearful form.
“Mind your turn, Eustass-ya,” Another fae, dark and attractive, scanned your visage, “It’s been a while since I have a human to play with. The last one didn’t last long on my table.”
An overwhelming sensation flooded your brain - the fae folks sauntered towards you closely, each with every step you took back. Luffy’s reckless decision had earned you a cold, hard target from every fae folk on your back. In a split second, you did the only thing you could think of.
You ran.
Several cries of “Come back!”, “Play with us!” rang all across the field. But you did not listen. No, not when every mere form of danger is right by your footsteps.
Hurt. Sickened. Betrayed. These are the only things that are in your mind. Oh, how foolish you are - no matter how good his intentions are, Luffy is still a fairy who plays tricks upon humans - and now you are his next victim.
Your mind is made up in determination when Luffy springs before you again, trying to explain something. By now, you have already pulled out the cross from your bag and brandished it upon Luffy who backed away.
“I shouldn’t have trusted you,” You growled dangerously, hovering the cross like a weapon.
“Wait! What’s-your-name, I can explain-!”
“Oh, you have already explained enough! Now begone!”
Luffy drew a wicked grin, “Yeah, I was planning to take you back…” Luffy circled you in a predatory manner, “...but my brother Ace had better plans.”
Luffy effortlessly dodged the cross that you had swiped at him, “GET AWAY FROM ME! I wasted enough time with you around! I’ll go home myself!”
“I like you, you’re interesting. Join my pack.” You gasped - Luffy’s arms started to stretch like rubber, coiling onto your other weaponless arm.
“I refuse!” You hissed, trying to escape from his bond.
“Then I refuse your refusal!” Luffy starts to lose his calmness, and he holds you even tighter, “Please Wet blankie! What’s-your-name! I promise you, they are not going to hurt you-!”
“Go away!” You screeched with all your might, pushing Luffy away and hoping that your cross might make a nick on him. You kept running, you could care less if Luffy begged you to stop, you can't simply look back. Perhaps you assumed that Ace summoned himself right next to Luffy, his eyes boring at your running form. He grabbed Luffy by his shoulder, in a regality fit for a king.
“Don't let her go, Luff,” Ace spoke, honeyed and full of dark intent, “All of us had waited years to have her back. We can’t lose her now.”
“No…” Luffy nodded, “I won’t. We’ll get her.”
-
There is nothing worse than to run from fairies and get lost again in their forest. Exhausted as you are, there is no willingness from you to yield from their relentless pursuit. You are going home, and that is final.
Then your nose picked up a salt-like scent. The ground is becoming more coarser as well. You finally realize that as you are busy fleeing for your life, you end up on a sandy beach. Not too distant from you is an ominous cave on the seawater, far too eerie to enter.
And yet, as if curiosity overrides your logic, you decided to take a closer look at it instead.
“Come here…” You jumped. There was a faint voice coming from the cave. So you know how to play this game. You firmly planted your foot into the sand, ignoring the voice that keeps persistently trying to coax you inside.
You crossed your arms and looked away.
The cave lets out a guttural growl - something comes out. You kept your fingers clenched onto the cross as a creature, a merman-like being, swims out, and reaches near you. Aside from his long hair, a striking feature of him is his strange triangle-shaped eyebrows that frame his sharp eyes.
“Must you be so stubborn, child? I know what was going on here, and I am here to help.” He drawled.
Basil Hawkins, the Marmennill, is here to lead you.

(The whitebeard pirates) So if you write for them, can you write something along the lines that the (fem) reader gets princess treatment? who wouldn't enjoy that? I totally would!
Soft! Yandere <3
Like A Princess~
Out from your window the sunlight started to shine, making a slight groggy sound you groaned and pursed your lips together, yawning loudly and stretching to get the grogginess out of your system and fully wake up.
Slowly getting up from your rather large bed on the ship, you smiled softly.
“I wonder what we’ll be having for breakfast today!”
You said to yourself while stretching one more time and running your hands through your hair, your polished nails with your favorite color Izo painted for you showing your feminine grace perfectly. going to the bathroom and quickly getting ready for the day you quickly walked out onto the deck where pretty much everyone was.
The sweet scent of pancakes and other divine breakfast foods filled your nostrils, you grinned.
Your favorite!!…again..!
The sky was a beautiful set of pink, orange and blue to represent to the sunrise and you smiled softly, taking not of how amazing it was here..knowing that these people would do anything for you..
A loud laugh interrupted your thoughts as you blinked and turned around to see your captain, the famous Whitebeard with Marco calmly sitting on his shoulder with his usual lazy smile.
Grinning even more from ear to ear you looked up at the enormous man, placing your hands on his knee to get his attention.
“Good morning captain!” You Saïd cheerfully, staring up at the large and powerful man. Just that earned you a pat on the head, his rough and calloused hand gently rubbing your hair.
“Well if it isn’t our Y/N!..goodmorn’!”
Marco smiled calmly at you once again and flew down to stand beside you, giving a soft rub on the back which linger long enough for you to notice.
“You certainly took long to wake up..” he said with a soft chuckle. His smooth like butter voice ringing in your ears to the core.
Shrugging simply while your hands on your hips and smiling again you look up at him.
“A girls gotta have her beauty sleep!”
You said while looking around and squinting your eyes from the sun that was already high up in the sky by now.
“Speaking of sleep..where’s Ace?..”
You asked curiously while still looking around for him, trying to ignore the long stares you got from the two pirates like always.
“That boy’s probably somewhere burning something to flames again!”
Your captain chuckled again, causing a low rumble to come from his chest. You smiled and nodded while glancing around deck one more time.
“Ah! Alright then! Well I’m gonna go eat breakfast now! I’m craving pancakes epically this morning…” you said rather lowly and slowly tried to slip away from their stares and protective like closeness.
While walking back to the kitchen you let out a soft sigh of relief..
They were always so…watchful of you..
You loved the crew but you couldn’t deny they were rather personal with your clingy sometimes..
.
.
.
.
Walking into the kitchen you plastered on a cheerful smile and sat down by izou who was resting his eyes it seemed while waiting for the breakfast Thatch was cooking up.
Almost as soon as you sat down they both noticed you and seemed to put on a pleasured expression on their face. “Good morning guys!..what’re you cooking Thatch?..well besides pancakes of course!” You Saïd with a little laugh.
“Well good morning dear! And yes of course I just made your favorite again! I even added a little cinnamon..just the way you like it.” He Saïd in a rather soft tone with a sweet and charming smile.
The cook of the white beard pirates smiled at you and put down a plate full of pancakes on the table with a side of eggs and bacon.
You gave him a thank you and was just about to take a bite of your breakfast but then Ace came in with his cocky but kind and wide, he seemed to stride and and plop himself right next to you.
“Ah Ace! I was looking for you you fireball!” You Saïd whine stretching his cheek playfully, he chuckled and casually put his arm around your shoulder which you didn’t mind much. “Yeah yeah well I was just busy doing stuff!”
“Oh yeah like what? Sleeping?” A smooth but almost strict voice said, Izoukas his fork in hand with a piece of well cut pancake on it.
His eyes were staring at ace before glancing at you, causing you to smile and laugh some more. The action caused Ace to grunt and scoff with a snort.
Izou then suddenly caught eye of your nails and noticed that one in particular was chipped, he took your hand quickly but gently as to not hurt you with a huff. “Oh child I just painted these yesterday for you! How did these already get chipped?” He asked while raising an eyebrow and pulling out the same color of nail polish he bought you and started to redo them again, shaping them and even adding designs from his home, Wano.
You blinked and smiled softly. “I don’t know Izou! I wasn’t really doing much yesterday..”
Thatch then picked up your fork with a huff, aiming it correctly towards your mouth with that sand charming smile.
“Now Y/N, you have to eat! Here, let me feed you while he does your nails..” he said in a rather soft tone and shoving the fork in your mouth before you could even reply.
Ace then held up his finger and lifted your plate. “Oh yea and while they’re at it let me just heat up your plate a little it’s getting cold..” he said with a tone that couldn’t even give you the chance to argue.
You couldn’t help but giggle as you had one of the most dangerous pirates in all the seas treating you like royalty and papering you nonstop. Nodding happily you just let it happen like you always did.
Not knowing that they wouldn’t just pamper you to get you to stay with them..
A few hours later into the day and the ship finally got land which Rakuyo announced.
Excitedly, you quickly got dressed in a new outfit Ace got you on one of his travels. He said it was from Alabasta or some place you couldn’t remember..
Putting on the fine jewelry and stuffing trinkets of shiny things Thatch and Izou got you into your purse, you then said goodbye to your captain who gave you about he’d head pat and even a hug like always and then headed out go and adventure on the new island.
The sky was still sunny and most definitely clear as you went out with Ace and Thatch, laughter was almost everywhere while you explored this new place with your favorite people you loved most..sure sometimes they could be a bit much and especially overwhelming with how much they seemed to favor you, it was alright in the end.
You just couldn’t help but love to be here and love the fact that you were having such fun with everyone! Nothing was really wrong in the end!
But of course, you didn’t know about all of the corpse’s that were burned, cut and of course beaten to death by your dear crew mates because those men just got too close to you..even your captain had to really go to town on one of them for daring to touch you at a bar you all were at..
What can they say? They were just a complete sucker for you and they couldn’t help but treat you like a princess in more ways than one..
Hey guys!! I really hope you liked this one because I did! Although I’m not that familiar with all the whitebeard pirates character traits and persona’s I did try lol 😂 I really do like this and I tried to focus on four different characters to really get the feel of it! H A T for Ace? Hehe
Yandere Alphabet
pffffft 😂 hey, i should be the one making cheesy jokes here skadjk honestly, it might be my grand old age (not really) but he's such a soggy little man to me. you have been warned - he's very different to the ones posted so far.
tw.yandere, emotional manipulation, minors dni
Tumblr media
Hell: What would be their darling’s worst experience with them?
The whole fucking relationship. He depends on you, needs you. You’re his band-aid, his childhood plushie, his mom, his sibling, his partner, his best friend - Ace is the everything-issues man and all those deep-seated insecurities and all that trauma, all that hurt is coming out when he’s with you. He’ll never hurt you physically but it’s going to be a total mindfuck for you. This whole thing clearly isn't right; he is definitely out of line, you're in this situation against your will - but he's like a wet cat when he's with you and it's not an act. You'll feel like you're losing your mind - caught between being scared and forced to dry the tears of a man who has basically decided that you're his ersatz family. Maybe he'll snap one day? He doesn't seem to be the type but he already went so far - you never know with Ace.
Affection: How do they show their love and affection? How intense would it get?
He’s extremely affectionate. He’s constantly touching you, playing with your hair, your clothes, your accessories. He wants you to touch him, too - just dote on him, please, show him that you’re there, that you care for him.  Cup his cheeks, cradle his head - he’ll practically melt into your touch. If you initiate it, he’ll be so happy.  (Don't overdo it, though. Or else he's gonna start crying and you don't want that. Absolutely ghoulish.)
Tears: How do they feel about seeing their darling scream, cry, and/or isolate themselves?
Oh god, anything but tears, please. He simply can’t take those - it breaks his heart to see you sad. At first, he’ll try anything and everything to cheer you up - but it’s not only for you. It’s for him, too. I think he’s very unstable as a yandere, in the sense that he flip-flops between being delusional and being horribly self-aware of the things he has done to you. He didn't want to be a monster, ever. Now look at him, forcing someone into playing pretend with him. Maybe all those people were right and he really is a demon child.  But he can’t let you go, either. You soothe that sting in his heart, your touch is all he thinks about after a long day. As much as it eats away at him, he's too selfish to stop this.
So don’t cry, please, don’t make him face the reality of what this is. Play nice, play soft, play your part convincingly so he can forget about it all. Make him think you're here with him because you want to be and maybe he can finally believe that he deserves to be loved.
If your tears and silence don't get better, though - he’ll simply clam up and ignore you. Not out of malice, never out of malice - but he really can’t take it. He just reaches a certain point where he can't help you without spiraling himself and has to get away from those big, sad eyes.

Note
you've casually ripped my heart out and took a bite so I raise you
Sun God Nika.
ACES brother.
Warrior of LIBERATION.
meeting the very not liberated "s/o" of his brother (and I mean they gave him candy so now they're auto besties )
I imagine him being torn with helping his friend even if he has to fight ace because something is obviously wrong with him.
This isnt the brother luffy remembers.
his ace would never take someone's freedom like this, he couldn't...He could never...right?
Not after all they talked about
...right?....
But he did and luffy is ridiculously emotionally smart so he knows in his gut this is the truth and he has to do something for his new friend who asked for help in getting free.
hes strong enough now.its not like he has to kill anyone to safely get you both away but why does it hurt so much? Your okay and he isn't wounded..so why?why does he feel so...so...betrayed?
..By ace?...
for not being who he looked up to anymore.
he really wants to cry. He wants to excuse his actions but that would make him just as guilty wouldn't it?
At least your free now. Even if its left his heart beating different....
Sorry for spelling mistakes !
No apologies needed, but allow me to make it Worse.
Imagine escaping Ace and ending up on Luffy’s crew - we’re not going to worry about any other surrounding details, but the important bits are that you don’t know they’re brothers.
Luffy doesn’t know the terrifying person you’re running from is his brother. Couldn’t imagine it in a million years.
Maybe it’s post time skip, post Wano even, before you, Ace and Luffy occupy the same space (I am thinking shadow reader vibes, thatch and Ace are alive, etc.)
All through Alabasta the stars just didn’t align, and at Marineford you realize Luffy’s connection to Ace and maybe that’s why you leave with Crocodile again instead of Luffy when everyone’s going their separate ways.
However it works doesn’t matter.
Its just that moment when Ace finds you, he’s relieved and delighted and the others are going to be so happy you’re alive. And for a second Luffy is almost delirious with joy.
His friend and his brother are friends and now they’ve been reunited \o/
But then Luffy looks at you, and he knows.
Your fear is palpable, but more than that he’s putting the pieces of stories he’s heard over two years ago or more together. The emotions. All the details. Your fear is so obvious and strong even the rest of the crew knows without seeing.
Luffy grabs Ace’s wrist and pulls until Ace lets go of you. He doesn’t understand at first, “Luffy what are you doing?”
But the smile fades and the expression on Luffy’s face is a mix of sorrow and despair.
“They’re afraid of you Ace, can’t you see?”
And in those words is so much more. How could you? What did you do? Why is their fear so terrible? Ace - what happen to you to change you so much?
He hasn’t hurt like this since the day he thought Kuma had slaughtered his crew.
And for that to turn into a fight? Yeah, the drums of Liberation will have an almost manic edge to them after that. They cannot be somber, so instead they’ll be a little more wild, a little more free, a little more loud to drown the pain god bears.
