This might be more accurate to pre time skip perona bc I’m watching impel down arc, hope you all don’t mind 💗

I just really like her and wanted to write for her since she’s underrated <3 (plus from the poll)

Idk how you and perona met or when but y’all together soo !! 🤷‍♀️

if your dumb/dense- (lol) like zoro or luffy she’s gonna go insane

she loves you..! but your just…..a bit slow..

no matter how through her instructions are you always somehow end up doing the opposite

she has to do a lot of things herself which triggers her because she considers herself a princess

she gets mad at you, but not mad like how should would to bearsy, more so a ‘you can’t do anything with out me 🤦‍♀️‘ typa mad

in fact she usually ends up helping YOU out

”I’m only doing this because I love you, you know??”

she says that while pouting all the time

but if you return the favor by helping her carry something heavy, giving her a kiss on the cheek, or just sincerely thanking her?

shes a blushing mess in denial 💝

if your smart !!

She finally has someone that gets her and is on her side!!

she makes you spend lots of time with her

picking out what outfit she should wear

watching the sunset

she does all sorts of romantic stuff with you <3

dw she has a great taste in fashion, she’s very stylish

she puts you in black and your favorite color

so that you two are kinda matching

ngl she’s pretty sentimental

one moment she loves the crap out of you and the next she’s attacking you with hollows

ok I know that seems more moody or bipolar or smth but it’s just because she’s sensitive!

it’s more so that what you say affects her deeply because she loves you

so if you choose the wrong dress and you say it’s cuter than the one she was hoping you’d choose, she’s gonna think you think she’s ugly

(don’t ask me how that translates she’s overthinking it)

Your less prone to this if your average smarts or above

but again if your on the slow side, your love is gonna seem like push and pull

She makes you help her with everything, whatever she needs

and she’s kinda clingy, she always has to have you around

at least in the same room, if your not she looks for you

its not because she’s insecure or anything she just likes being in your presence

If she wants to reorganize a room? She’s instructing you and your doing the actual work

she wants the dishes done? Why didn’t you wash them??

(you make a point that she’s the one who used a crap ton trying to cook and she ends up helping you)

she’s fair for the most part though she may be a bit bossy..

perona’s love languages are quality time and physical touch

(lol physical touch is irony but anyway)

yeah I’ve pretty much been mentioning quality time throughout this whole thing

she basically just loves to be around you, doing anything with you whatever!

she doesn’t like to be bored though so you guys are gonna have to figure out fun things to do

playing hide and seek is always fun with her!

she’s really good at it but sometimes you feel like her devil fruit is cheating 😒

you’ve found her a couple times though!

she was proud of you but also kinda upset at the same time 😂

If she hears you getting close to her hiding spot she immediately moves

So it’s very rare you do win

and as a seeker she uses her hollows (sometimes zoro too, he does it begrudgingly though) to find you

she also goes through walls so yeah that helps, when she hears you she can get to you faster

If your a straw hat Kuma mighta sent you there for stealth training 😂😂

I feel if your highly intelligent you could outsmart her though, especially if you learn her way of thinking

with physical affection perona loves to cuddle, hug and give cheek kisses

NOT around zoro and mihawk though

she gets so embarrassed about it

pda does not amuse her so don’t try it

she doesn’t really like using her hollows on you but she just might

she loves to show you off despite that!

oddly enough

she constantly brags about your feats and accomplishments

she may as well be more proud than you!

Even if you haven’t done much she still prasies you

The ghost princess absolutely cherishes you!

anyway yeah she gives you a forehead kiss before you go to sleep

and she expects one back!

but wait til right before she falls asleep!

it’s more romantic that way 😍

(yes she wants it that specific way or she’s going to be pouty with you the next day)

if you don’t do it right she will ignore you

But she gives in first bc 1) she loves you too much 2) she gets bored 3) she likes your attention

she also does this thing where she holds onto your arm and floats

She secretly wants you to kabedon her

shell never tell you that..

(look it up if you don’t know what it is :P)

She reminds you of a cat when cuddling

she practically curls up into a ball on your lap

she gives you cheek kisses whenever you do her a favor or if she’s just feeling particularly happy

(for more dense m/n that’ll be if you did something smart or didn’t tick her off on accident today)

perona will also simp if you have abs/muscles

will avoid you for a bit if you catch her though

I mean she can go through walls so if your changing and she’s comes in..

OF COURSE SHE DOESN’T STAY FOR THE FULL THING SHE’S NOT A PERVERT IT’S JUST-

even if you don’t mind she doesn’t want you to catch her admiring you

she spies on you working out still, since that’s less suspicious

if you don’t have abs that’s all right

she romanticizes you anyways so no matter what you look like or what you do she absolutely adores you!

Season: Autumn

Location: Empty Classroom

Izumi: That Ou-sama! Where the hell did he go? Our starting time has come and gone, and yet he’s nowhere to be seen!

We’ve already made plans, and I even went out of my way to remind him.

Surely he didn’t get lost this time? Seriously, can he spare us some worry? Can’t he act more like a senior and a leader in front of the juniors?!

Tsukasa: Sena-senpai, p-please calm down. You pacing around anxiously won’t help solve the problem at hand.

Although I am rather worried as well, Leader is known for disappearing at times. So please do not panic, have a seat and simmer down, Sena-senpai.

Izumi: Haaa?! What are you saying? Are you trying to insinuate that just because the King is prone to disappearing, I should be used to such acts from him, and should just sit here all prettily, waiting for him to come back like some obedient dog? Is that it? Are you saying I’m in the wrong? Are you looking for a fight?

Tsukasa: N-no…, I… I just wanted to comfort Sena-senpai… I’m quite worried too…

Arashi: (Seems like everyone’s mood took a sharp decline because of the King’s disappearance… If things continue on this way, proceeding with training would be pointless. I’ll need to find a more lighthearted topic to talk about…)

(Ah! I got it. I hope you’ll be able to play along, Ritsu-chan.)

Speaking of which, Ritsu-chan, ahahaha……

Ritsu: Nacchan~, what’s up with you? You start laughing before you’ve even finished your sentence…

Arashi: Mm, I just thought of how Ritsu-chan slept while sunning the blanket, and couldn’t control my laughter.

Ritsu: Eh? But was that really that… interesting, Nacchan~?

Arashi: But of course. No matter how you think of it, doing it that way is really unique.

Tsukasa-chan, Izumi-chan, don’t you think it’s rather avant garde?

Tsukasa: Oh… So the reason why Ritsu-senpai was sleeping over there was because you were sunning your blanket… I was wondering why Onee-sama tried to help you air it when the sun had nearly disappeared beyond the horizon…

But because Ritsu-senpai needed sleep, and Onee-sama had wanted to help you with the blanket, so you dozed off and sunned the blanket at the same time… is that right?

Ritsu: Mhm, I guess so. Though, Suu~chan, mind explaining why you’re smiling like that? Laughing at your seniors is a no-no.

Tsukasa: A-apologies, Ritsu-senpai. I merely thought that this method was very Interesting, and thus laughed.

Izumi: Kuma-kun’s way of doing things is very peculiar indeed – people laughing because of it is nothing out of the ordinary, hehehe~

Ritsu: Hey hey hey, why are you all snickering one after another?

What the hell, hurry up and practice. Stop slacking off, the whole lot of you, get moving!!

Arashi: Ritsu-chan’s right, we should start practising. Even if Ou-sama isnt around, we need to continue working hard.

(Thank you, Ritsu-chan. It’s all thanks to you that everyone’s mood lifted.)

Tsukasa: Seems like Leader still hasn’t…

Leo: Oh! I’m here! Hahaha! Sorry, I’m late!

Ritsu: Book? I don’t remember giving Anzu any books, though?

You’re saying that it was found under my blanket when you went to air it?

Shouldn’t be the case… I remembered that I didn’t bring any books there. Let me have a look.

Judging by its contents, it’s not mine. Why would it be under my blanket? Perhaps someone left it there while I was dozing?

Leo: Lemme see, lemme see!

Ritsu: So? Ou-sama, what did you find?

Hey, Ou-sama, I’m talking to you! Hey!

Leo: Ahh, oopsies! The book’s content was super fascinating, so I accidentally got sucked into its world.

It seems to be a script of some sort. There’s even a bunch of resources in the back about different types of weapons. It could belong to the Theatre Club, maybe? It’s probably safer if we hand it over to the lost-and-found — at least, it’ll prevent us from misidentifying the owner.

As my way of apologising for coming late, I’ll go hand the book over. How’s this?

To be honest, I wanna continue reading it on the way there. I have an inkling that after I’ve browsed its contents, my inspiration will flow like an unstoppable avalanche!

Izumi: To be honest, you’re only trying to evade my lecture, aren’t you?

Leo: Ah? Sena, did you say something? Don’t worry about it, yeah? Everyone’s worked hard today! Hurry up and go home, shoo! I’ll go return the book! Bye bye ☆

Angst Alphabet - Roronoa Zoro

a/n: hiya!!! thank y’all so much!!<3 hope you enjoy this 😌

A-Accident (would they blame themselves if you died in an accident?)

He may not blame himself entirely if you were to die in an accident. But Zoro would think himself weak. How could he possibly become the words greatest swordsman if he can’t even protect his s/o.

B-Break up (How would they break up with you?)

Before breaking up with you Zoro would start to distance himself a little to try and make it easier on the both of you for when he does break up with you. Other than that, he is likely to just come right out and say exactly what he wants to say. He’s brutally honest and straightforward so he won’t try to sugar coat anything or beat around the bush.

C-Crying (how would they make you cry?)

Zoro does this horrible thing where he likes to overwork himself to the point of exhaustion. No matter how many times you tell him to stop and express your concerns for his health, he just doesn’t listen. It hurts seeing the man you love more than anything exhausting himself.

D-Death (how would they react to your death?)

Speaking of overworking, after your death he works himself harder than he ever has before. Day in, day out he’s training. He trains every possible minute to distract himself from your death and make himself stronger to ensure he never loses a loved one ever again.

E-Emotion (what is one emotion they would try to hide the most and how would they do it?)

Being openly vulnerable is something Zoro doesn’t like to do. He really only shows his vulnerable side with his s/o and even then, it took him a really long time to do it.

F-Fight (do you two ever fight? How big are the fights? What do you fight about? Etc.)

Very rarely do your fights get serious. Your fights are often just light-hearted teases and jokes towards one another. Where its always followed by laughter or eye rolls.

If your fight was to get serious, it would result in a lot of yelling at one another and with Zoros blunt personality, a lot of hurtful words (which he ALWAYS apologizes for in the end).

G-Guilt (what is the biggest thing they feel guilty about?)

The events of Sabaody weigh heavily on Zoro’s mind. He was the first one to get sent away by Kuma, so feels as though he failed not only his captain, but the whole crew as well. He wasn’t there to protect them, to help them. Instead, he was a complete failure. And, because of his weakness his captain had to fight and suffer alone.

H-Heartbreak (what would cause them pain in the relationship? How would they deal during a break-up?)

During a break-up Zoro does what he would in any other situation: workout. He keeps himself occupied by working out, and actually he drinks a little bit more than usual too. It could even get to the point where the rest of the crew feels as though they need to step in.

I-Injured (how would they react if you are badly injured?).

He turns dark. Basically, a demon in human form. Moves you from wherever you are so that you’re out of the way of more danger AND THEN HE TIES HIS BANDANA ROUND HIS HEAD BECAUSE THIS SHIT IS SERIOUS.

J-Jealousy (what do they do if they are jealous?)

Its ridiculously obvious when this swordsman is jealous. He gets super grumpy and tries to intimidate the other person. He’ll stand right behind you and honestly, that’s intimidating enough on its own. But, if the other person doesn’t get the hint he’ll place his hand, ever so casually, on his swords.

K-Kill (would they kill for revenge?)

Ever since joining the Straw Hats, Zoro doesn’t kill others (its not something Luffy wants his nakama to do, so Zoro doesn’t do it). However, that mindset goes straight out the window depending on who he’s taking revenge for (i.e if it’s for his s/o).

Most of the time Zoro just leaves them wishing they were dead. (this seems to be a common thing amongst One Piece characters).

L-Loss (what is their greatest loss?)

I would actually say losing some of his pride. Zoro is a poud man, who refuses to lower his head to anyone. However, after receiving the message from Luffy to train and meet up again in two years, Zoro knew he had to lower his and beg Mihawk for his guidance. It was definitely a hit on his pride, but, honestly… He doesn’t regret that one bit – anything for his captain.

M-Mistake (what is the worst mistake they ever made with you?).

During one of the few big fights you guys have had things got really heated and the fight ended up getting so off topic. Insults and mean words were being thrown out left and right. Zoro got so caught up in it all that he said something that targeted one of your deepest insecurities. He knew he had screwed up so badly when you walked away without even saying anything.

N-Nightmares (how often do they have them? What are they about? How do they deal with it?).

He doesn’t often get nightmares, but when he does they tend to be about Sabaody and when the crew got separated from one another (or really any other incident where he was unable to help properly). After he wakes up, he gets straight out of bed and starts working out – determined to make sure nothing like that ever happens again.

O-Outrage (how and why would they get mad at you?)

Zoro doesn’t get mad at you for much, mainly if you pay any attention to that shitty cook, like seriously, he doesn’t understand why you have to give Sanji any attention when Zoro is literally your boyfriend….

P-Past (what has happened in your relationship that changed the way you saw each other?)

Even though you never found out exactly what happened on Thriller Bark (its something Zoro refuses to tell even you), it made you realize that you need to step up and not rely on Zoro so much because although he may act like it, he’s not actually indestructible.

Q-Quality (what is their most dangerous/toxic quality?).

(SORRY I FEEL LIKE I’M BEING VERY REPETITIVE HERE AH BUT YEAH…) He never allows himself to heal from an injury properly. He always starts training immediately despite Chopper’s best attempts to stop him.

R-Rejection (how would they react to you rejecting their confession (or the other way around)).

If you were to reject his confession, he’d probably try to justify it to himself by saying “yeah actually it’s probably better this way. I don’t need anymore distractions in life.” But, he would definitely be a little down in the dumps about it. He made himself vulnerable for this and it didn’t work the way he wanted.

S-Scars (battle or self-inflicted)

Zoro has many scars. The scar over his left eye was a result of his two years of training with Mihawk, though no one knows the exact cause of it – only that it appeared during those two years. Zoro also has a scar on his chest from his very first encounter with Mihawk. He may also have scars on his ankles from the time he tried to chop of his own legs on Little Garden (I can’t recall if these are actually scars or if they healed completely).

T-Trust (have they ever broken your trust?).

This answer is short and sweet: No. Never. Not even in his wildest of dreams. Loyalty is basically Zoro’s entire character. He would never violate your trust. If he did… well Zoro, wouldn’t be Zoro anymore. (only thing he’s done that comes close is keep you from finding out what really happened to him on Thriller Bark).

U-Urge (how badly do they want to see you after you guys separated?)

Honestly, he is probably one of the few who are able to cope with missing you the longest. He still wants to see you of course – your presence is reassuring, so he definitely prefers when you are around – but he can handle not seeing you for a while by focusing on the task at hand and just remembering that this separation isn’t permanent.

V-Vicious (what do they do when they lash out on you?).

Similar to what I’ve said before, he says some really harsh things. He has always been blunt and straightforward, but when he’s lashing out at you he tends to make things a little more personal.

W-Weak (what makes them feel weak how do they try to avoid it?).

Zoro hates losing. Not because he’s competitive or anything but because losing makes him feel weak. Whenever he loses he feels so far away from his goal. To make up for this he works out. He trains and trains and trains until he can no longer move. He will keep going until he never loses another fight.

X-X-ray (what do they hate and show it most obviously?)

Obviously, he shows his hate of Sanji very frequently. The two pirates are constantly arguing and at one anothers throat.

But another thing he hates is people getting in the way of his dream. He agreed to join Luffy so long as he didn’t get in the way of his dream – and if luffy were to get in the way Zoro made him promise to commit seppuku (although whether or not I think Zoro would actually make him do that anymore is a different thing that I could go on about for a while so imma stop there…).

Y-Yearn (what is one thing that they want but can’t have?)

Zoro wants to be the world’s greatest/strongest swordsman. It’s not currently a title he can have, however, day-by-day he is getting just that much closer.

Z-Zero (what do they do/say in your dying moments?)

I don’t think a lot is said or done by Zoro in your final moments. He probably whispers a few thank you’s and I’m sorry’s. He won’t mourn properly until he’s completely alone.

BLCD Review: Sex Suit Love Battle

Title: Sex Suit Love Battle (セックススーツラブバトル)

Synopsis: Taga Masashi happens to catch his boss, Ibuki Keisuke walking out of a hotel with one of his sex friends. To keep his mouth shut, Keisuke proposes that he’ll be Masashi’s sex friend!

Huh, I was right with the names!

Anyway, I was really iffed by the art, so I wasn’t that interested in this at first, but hey, I was Shingaki Tarusuke trash. As y’all have probably noticed by now, the first BLCDs in my second 2019 log are all risque but are also voiced by my favorite and or veteran seiyuus. Luckily for Sex Suit, I didn’t have the raws for this, so I breezed through this BLCD with only their voices. That being said, I wouldn’t be able to judge the accuracy of this to the original content. Despite that, I’m happy to say that the plot wasn’t that bad. This was like a better version of Takasaki Bosco’s Torokeru Kuchibiru seeing as they both deal with the element of blackmail. I did think that they could have tackled Akira and Keisuke’s relationship better and got Kyoko in the mix. Also, I did think that it was too convenient of Taga to have already been in love with Keisuke from the start.

Moving on.

Yo, what the heck? Shingaki Tarusuke sounds like Okitsu here while Ryouta-san sounds like Kawahara Yoshihisa! I keep on forgetting that I was hearing Shingaki even. I mean, I’ve known for quite a while that he and Okitsu has more or less the same tone of voice and range, but I didn’t know that they could sound that similar! It’s been two years since the last time I’ve heard Shingaki Tarusuke in an uke role and I put it just after a Okitsu work in one log, so I really wasn’t prepared for that! 😂 That just adds to the reason why I think that Sex Suit is a better version of Torokeru Kuchibiru and that also means that I think that Shingaki Tarusuke was the better bottom. Sorry, bb Miyauchi. 😢 However, this won’t be the last time I’ll be seeing Shingaki Tarusuke, because Saezuru 6 is part of my 2020 log. My heart is not ready!!! Speaking of bb Yashiro, Shingaki Tarusuke used a lighter pitch closer to his natural one here as compared to Yashiro’s, so these two roles are still pretty distinct with each other. I think the highest I’ve ever heard him is in BnHA where he does Mirio, and I wouldn’t even know that he was Mirio if I hadn’t looked who Mirio’s VA was up!!! We stan a versatile man. ❤️

As for Ryouta-san, I was honestly shocked when I saw his name on that cast list. He really isn’t that active in the BL industry and is a rare one, so Ryouta-san was actually the one who urged me to listen to this BLCD because despite my love for Shingaki Tarusuke and Okitsu, I don’t really listen to any of their risque works. Ryouta-san actually has a DK Hajimete no with Okitsu which I haven’t listened to because I’m not a fan of the franchise, but I might just listen to it to see if Okitsu and Shingaki Tarusuke’s voices still sound similar there. Anyway, I’m actually a fan of Ryouta-san through his performance of Ren in DMMD, but I haven’t heard it in so long that it didn’t occur to me that he and Kawahara sounded so similar as well! His voice is like the love child of Yasumoto Hiroki and Kawahara Yoshihisa really. Whoo! I love this BLCD for letting me make new discoveries! As with Okitsu and Tarusuke’s range, I think that this type of deep booming husky seme voice is also endangered in the BL industry. To my knowledge, there is no one from the new gens that has this voice. Makonyan and Kuma-chan have probably the lowest registers in the newer gens and are the new age OnoD’s...but OnoD’s lowest register is at a way way higher place than Ryouta and Kawahara’s. I’m praying so hard for Takeuchi Shunsuke to enter the BL industry, but I know that it might be a pipe dream. However, back to the main topic of his performance, it would be a lie if I didn’t say that he didn’t struggle here. Both Ushiwaka—excuse me for one second, SHIIIIRATORIZAWA!!! CLAP CLAP! CLAP! CLAP CLAP! and Taga were deeper than Ryouta-san’s natural voice, but Taga’s was not only deeper, but also slower. Usually, when seiyuus do that, their voices go flat (i.e Furukawa Makoto’s Shida-kun in Alternative) and it makes it harder for them to catch up whenever their characters have sudden changes in expressions. In Ryouta-san’s case, it’s like he almost stumbles in doing so. However, we can’t all be Yasumoto Hiroki, so there’s that.

Speaking of seiyuus, is Mama No-Ton??? They sound so similar, but No-Ton and Mama are credited to two different people, but No-Ton’s VA used an alias. 🤔

Hmm. If it really wasn’t for the VAs, I don’t think that this BLCD would sell as much as it did. However, as I’ve said again and again these past few reviews, I feel like it’s such a waste to cast such great actors in stuff like this. There’s better stuff to adapt than this, come onnnn. 😩 I personally wouldn’t recommend Sex Suit Love Battle’s manga because I’m not a fan of the art, but the BLCD would probably be okay to listen to because of the seiyuus. Also, what’s with the title, though? Is it because they’re office mates? But that’s rather vague. 🤷

I’LL START WITH TRIGGER HAPPY HAVOC FOR THE HELL OF IT !!!

OK PARTIALLY IT IS but seriously speaking- I think there’s something to like about MOST of the characters, save for a select few. alongside byakuya, I THOROUGHLY enjoyed toko’s erratic behavior & I think she just deserves a LOT better. I EXTREMELY appreciate junko enoshima for her nasty little antics & I thought she was a great antagonist that just really makes you think? BUT after going through danganronpa: IF, I also SUPER adore mukuro & the goal that these twisted sisters began to strive for & what it became in that universe; I SUPER hope mukuro was able to give junko the despair she deserved, but not in a good way :thumbs_up: & OF COURSE I really like monokuma as a general mascot for the game, another NASTY little creature that just makes things so enjoyable with his wacky-tackyness it’s also just an interestingly kind of disturbing to know that THIS is the mascot for a whole bunch of horror & murder & I do enjoy actually being creeped out by him

AGAIN THOUGH, everybody-- ESPECIALLY in trigger happy havoc has something to enjoy about them & I catch myself thinking about characters like chihiro, hifumi, mondo, celeste, & ishimaru a whole lot even just based on their designs

Long Ass Enta Rant

The only thing more problematic than defending Enta’s behavior because he’s “14″ and “we all did dumb things as kids” (I sure as hell didn’t do the things Enta does toward my crush at 14 but I’m not going to get into that) is claiming that any hate/criticism directed at Enta is based on homophobia?? Or an adult not understanding how a child’s mind works when they’re in love?

And after seeing so many posts in the tags about it, I’m going to explain why that’s a garbage conclusion to come to.

Like, y’all do realize that Reo and Mabu are the fandom’s favorite characters, the most popular characters to come out of the show while it’s airing regardless of whether people read the Manga first or not, and they’re both undoubtedly, definitely, and indisputably gay? And they’re both ADULTS out here relentlessly murdering people but they’re still well liked.

Where are these homophobia claims coming from? They’re both baseless and stupid. A characters sexuality should NOT be a shield from criticism. Ever.

For people who shit on Reo and Mabu fans for still liking them but in the same breath, criticizing Enta, People can continue to like Reo and Mabu despite all the things they do because we can acknowledge that they’re the bad guys and they’re intended to be the shows main villains or at least so far that is what we are being lead to believe. No one tries to justify the things they do. No one is saying Reo is in the right for trying to kill multiple children and MAYBE succeeding the second time around. They’re villains. They don’t try to justify their actions or so far have not made themselves out to be victims. And most of all, we don’t see their fans jumping to their defense every time they do something inherently wrong. Most of us were just as shocked as anyone else that Reo’s crazy ass shot Enta. But moving on.

In the case of Enta, what’s worse than the things he unapologetically does is his fans acting like the things he does aren’t bad and use his age and sexuality to guilt people and deflect criticism from him as a character. First of all, gay people do not need to be coddled and treated like they can do no wrong. Real gay people are human beings who make mistakes and eventually own up to them. Enta has not and has only continued to make mistakes while learning nothing from them. I understand that Sarazanmai is short and fast paced, but that’s still no excuse in my opinion. Second of all, No one is vilifying Enta because he’s gay. That aspect of his character is largely irrelevant compared to the things he does. Enta is not being singled out because he’s the only openly gay character of the main trio. He’s being criticized because the things he does are inherently wrong and mostly without justification. And he’s not the only one being criticized.

Kazuki, Mabu and Reo have all come under fire for the things they do. Chikai maybe has faced backlash as well, especially for what he does in episode 8, but I haven’t went out of my way to look for it. The only one of the relevant cast, Sara aside, who hasn’t done a thing to warrant backlash is maybe Tooi. You can bring up the fact that he killed someone and his brother covered it up, but he was a child, even younger than Enta and he did it in self-defense - and was lead to believe that was something he must do to project his brother who shifted the blame onto himself. It is in my opinion that Chikai pretty much conditioned him into thinking this was an acceptable lifestyle and choice, but I’m not entirely confident that it was written with that intent so just take that for a grain of salt.

As per the Ikuhara character standard nowadays, Enta is a piece of shit. He makes himself out to be a victim and his fans treat him as such. He refuses to see the error of his ways even if he hurts the person he cares about the most and wants to connect to in the process. He’s not entirely unsympathetic and sometimes he may even be understandable, but he’s shown to take things to illogical extremes, as Ikuhara characters tend to do. He acts entitled to Kazuki, and only loves the idealized version that he once knew or ultimately made up in his head, refusing to accept that Kazuki doesn’t reciprocate his feelings. Enta is the type of character that everyone would hate if he was a straight male character doing these things to a disinterested female character. But suddenly because he’s gay it’s justifiable and endearing and anyone that doesn’t like him is a homophobe? That’s ridiculous. I don’t give a shit what a character or human beings sexuality is. A piece of shit is a piece of shit.

I’m not even going to lie. I wanted to like Enta at first. I was following Sarazanmai since it was first announced and when the character designs first came out, Right off the bat, I wasn’t a fan of his design or how aggressive he was toward the other characters in the trailers. For me, those were red flags. But I still tried to like him regardless. when he kissed Kazuki, I got excited until the implications of his actions fully set in for me. Kissing someone without their consent isn’t okay, especially if the person is asleep. That was already another red flag for me. And then they reveal that he just stepped up to the next level of creepy by making him sniff kazukis clothes and suck on his recorder for indirect kisses? He has delusions about him? And people tried to justify it because he’s 14 as if it wouldn’t be creepy if it happened to someone in real life or again, if a male anime character did it to a female anime character? Only scenario I could see this not receiving hate wildly in is if it was a comedy anime or something but then we’d still have a number of people labeling the character as a creep.

Enta’s love for Kazuki is unhealthy. It’s more than just being a dumb awkward gay 14 year old who has their first crush on someone. He’s just a character in a long line of Ikuhara character’s that don’t display their love for another person in way that is understandable or healthy. I don’t see how relatable this character could be on a surface level when you think of all the things he’s done. He’s not a borderline rapist like Ringo from Mawaru Penguindrum, which I’m grateful for because she may be one of the most unlikeable characters Ikuhara has ever written, but he’s basically Lulu 2.0 from Yuri Kuma Arashi except a guy. He even ““dies”” in the same way as her.

While Kazuki is no saint and getting some of the backlash he deserves, Enta is not entitled to Kazuki and part of the hate directed at Kazuki shouldn’t have anything to do with his feelings or the lack of them toward Enta or being too dim-witted to acknowledge them. Enta is not a victim just because his love is unrequited. He’s a flawed character, borderline unlikeable for some including myself and relatable for others but a flawed Ikuhara character nonetheless. The criticism he receives is not baseless. It’s not based on homophobia. He’s not being singled out because he’s an ““awkward gay 14 year old” as if a homophobe would sit through this show for 8 episodes anyway just to come to that conclusion. Episode 1 was a turn off for even people who aren’t homophobic anyway —

He’s criticized because he’s a flawed character that shows no remorse for his actions, acts entitled, acts like a victim in situations where he’s in the wrong, is a creep and is currently fighting Kazuki for the title of the most unlikeable, most unsympathetic character in the cast for me and no amount of ““self sacrifice” is going to change that for me until i see him change. I think next to Tooi, he’s better written than Kazuki, who imo has been bland and never stopped being bland. But that doesn’t necessarily make him a good character or ““well-written” either.

At the end of the day, it boils down to your opinions and perspectives. It just gets tiresome seeing people trying to write off criticism toward Enta as irrelevant just because he’s gay or because he’s “14″ as if this “14″ year old wasn’t written by a grown man with a history of writing problematic underage characters? Ringo didn’t initially get a slap on the wrist when she was shitty until she truly earned her sympathy card. None of the characters in Yuri Kuma did either except Lulu who ended up dying despite being the most likeable character in the cast.

The amount of people I see defending him makes me think this is a lot of you’s first Ikuhara anime. Most of us who have seen Ikuhara anime before would have expected a character like this due to his repetitive story-telling and character molds. Like I said before, Ikuhara has a history of writing problematic characters. Everyone in the main cast is in a way, even Tooi. Sara is squeaky clean for now, but she may end up being a morally grey character as well.

I just can’t take the opinions of people who make baseless claims like that seriously. Or people who try to justify Enta’s actions because of his age either. He’s a FICTIONAL CHARACTER. not a real 14 year old. I don’t get why people are so defensive over him either. I get that we can relate to characters sometimes, but the amount of projection I’m seeing is almost as unhealthy as his obsession with Kazuki.

Anyway, come for me if you want. Send hate or whatever. If you wanna discuss your perspective on Enta’s character, feel free to do that too.

If anything, y’all should be mad that all the most outwardly problematic characters in the show are gay and barely have any justification for their actions. I mean Kazuki tried to kidnap someone and impersonated Sara because he wanted to form a connection with his brother, but he not only failed at getting Sara kidnapped, he also learns from his actions and tries to form a genuine connection with Haruka on his own. Being dismissive of Enta’s romantic feelings for him shouldn’t be an subject of criticism and shouldn’t warrant a justification. If you aren’t interested, you aren’t interested. Onto Tooi - We don’t know what Tooi’s sexuality is, but his justification for killing a guy was self defense and he was most likely conditioned into believing that the lifestyle he lives is acceptable by his brother.

What’s Enta’s excuse other than that he was jealous? Reo and Mabu didn’t didnt have a genuine excuse to kill all of those people, including trying to kill Harukawa and then shooting Enta. I understand that they’re threatened with death, but They could have just threatened Kazuki and Enta into giving up the dishes of hope since they had a gun. Just saying.

Anyway rant over. If you lasted this long, what are you doing with your life. And what am I since I sat down and wrote all this shit.

Thoughts on Sarazanmai Ep1: “I Want To Be Connected, But I Want To Lie”

Oh boy, are y’all ready for Ikuhara’s newest Wild Ride as we experience the joys of young boys transforming into kappas and stealing magical orbs out of people’s anuses and finding out about their deepest secrets?

Because I’m not.

I’m not ready at all.

But I’m still gonna try and be here every week writing about my thoughts on each episode because I can’t help but respect someone who goes so far and does so much, all for The Gays.

[Thoughts under the cut]

I’m kinda regretting the fact that the only Ikuhara anime I’ve watched before this is Utena, since this seems way more similar to both Penguindrum and Yuri Kuma Arashi, based on what I know about those series. I’ll get to them eventually, lol. It’ll definitely wait until after this is done, since I don’t think my mind can physically handle watching multiple Ikuhara anime at the same time.

I can really see what people who went to the pre-screening meant about how even the very first scenes seem packed with foreshadowing, and about how they were surprised that this was allowed to air on TV at all.

At first I thought that that might have just been a bit of an exaggeration, but nah not really. Ikuhara really be out here making us look at some boys-turned-kappas acting as maybe not so metaphorical anal beads to extract a magical Desire Organ [tm] out of a giant zombie’s anus. And lest we forget about whatever the fuck was going on in the scene with Keppi extracting Kazuki’s shirikodama. LEST WE FORGET.

I’m still kinda worried about whether or not Ikuhara is gonna be able to actually tell a well-paced and coherent story in just 11 episodes, but thus far the actual meat of the story in terms of the character dynamics seems relatively focused enough that it probably won’t be a bit deal. It at least looks like the series will just focus on the main trio [plus our favourite Gay Cop Dads, and also Sara], with the supporting cast being there to support the character arcs of the main trio. So hopefully Ikuhara isn’t trying to juggle too many things at once here.

I’m not even gonna try and seriously speculate at length about most of what happened in the first half of this episode since most of it seemed like stuff designed to make sense on a rewatch, but I did think almost immediately that the whole dramatic monologue about ‘not wanting to lose the connection this time’, mixed with some of the weird cuts and time skips and references to memory erasure and dreams, gave me a bit of a “time loop” vibe. Though knowing Ikuhara I doubt it’d be just as simple as “time got looped after things happened and ended up badly”.

There’s also probably gonna be a whole lot of symbolism based around kappas, and other parts of Japanese folklore/history that’ll probably go over my head, so I’ll probably just leave that to other people to talk about, lol.

Based on the promotional material I kinda pieced it together, but it looks like this is, at least at first, basically gonna play out like a monster of the week magical boy show where the main trio fight a new zombie. Which will probably be a good way to make each episode have it’s own satisfying set-up and conclusion while also setting up all sorts of other plot threads.

And on the note of the whole zombie thing, we don’t really have any idea what’s going on with them or what their goals are beyond the fact that they also have their own desires they’re trying to keep locked up, but it looks like the Gay Cop Dads are intentionally setting them off and turning them into zombies, based on the final bit of the episode. There’s not much to say about these two at the moment, but I feel like their motives and actions are gonna be a core part of whatever this series has to say about the BL genre and societal views/expectations towards gay/bi men, if it has anything to say about that at all. I also wouldn’t be too surprised if there’s some stuff about monogamy vs polyamory, given that their official joint twitter account is called keeponly1luv. And if anyone’s gonna be out there making in-character official anime character twitter accounts plot-relevant, it’s this dude.

Also, these two remind me a lot of Mikage from Utena already, so that’s cool. That whole arc was one of my favourite parts of Utena, so if we can get a whole season of not one, but two mysterious queer anime dudes provoking people’s innermost desires and conflicts for unknown reasons, then that’s even more cool.

I guess I should actually get around to talking about the main trio of the show. I suppose that’s pretty important, lol. There’s really not much to say about any of them at the moment since this episode was more about introducing the setting and style of this whole show rather than really showing off the characters, but I really like this episode’s whole central twist with Kazuki. I didn’t expect it at all, but it was really cool. I certainly wasn’t expecting his big secret to be that he secretly cross-dresses as Sara and basically roleplays as her to send texts to his little brother. I’m guessing that Kazuki for one reason or another feels unable to have a direct connection with his little brother, and so he’s doing this whole complicated daily routine of dressing up as Sara and sending texts to him because it’s the only way he can connect with him. It looks like they live together and even sleep in the same room, so if there’s any sort of distance between them it’s probably an emotional one.

Also, on the note of Kazuki’s whole thing in this episode, I have a feeling that the subtitles using feminine pronouns for the person he’s connecting with might be inaccurate if he was actually just talking about connecting with his little brother. Who I at least think is a boy. I was actually kinda thrown off at first at the implication that Kazuki had a secret girlfriend, lmao.

There’s also not a whole lot to say about Toi and Enta thus far, but it looks like another part of the whole monster of the week formula is that after each fight, one of their secrets is gonna get telepathically broadcast to the rest of them, like what happened in this episode with Kazuki, so there’s clearly a lot to unravel with both of them as well. Going by the OP theme, it seems like there’s gonna be importance placed on Kazuki’s relationship with his little brother, Toi’s relationship with his older brother, and Enta’s relationship with Kazuki. So I can’t help but wonder if one of the ‘twists’ later on will be about the idea of Enta having a crush on Kazuki. It looks like he was packaging a present for him early in the episode which got stolen by the kappa zombie underling things, so that might come up later.

I’ve also got no real predictions about what kind of role Sara is gonna have in this, especially not after whatever the fuck happened at the end of the Gay Cop Dads spin-off manga. At the very least I think she’ll probably be kinda like the shadow girls in Utena. Ikuhara really likes having characters who exist mostly to provide cryptic running commentary on the events of the show.

Aside from everything about the story, which was the number one memorable part of the episode, I was really pleasantly surprised at how nice the animation was throughout the whole thing, especially in the whole kappa zombie fight sequence. I hope that this quality can keep up the whole way through.

Also the ED theme is fantastic and I’m glad that they were able to use the ‘anime characters in real environments’ aesthetic of the trailers in at least some part of the show itself.

Anyway that’s about it for this episode. Will I end up having too little or far too much to say about the rest of the series after this? Who knows. That’s for me to not initially know and for me to find out one way or another.

In Praise of Thriller Bark:

Thriller Bark is one of my fave OP arcs but for some reason it’s so underrated and hardly ever talked about (and there are some fools out there who downright hate it) so Imma remind you all why this arc is fucking FANTASTIC

- first things first, introduces the Best Goddamn Mothafuckin Skeleton in the World. I love Brook so much. (Franky sobbing ‘I LOVE THAT SKELETON GODDAMMIT’ is the biggest mood tbh.)

- also gives us Brook’s HEARTBREAKING backstory and EXPLAINS WHO LABOON WAS WAITING FOR AND I CAN’T BELIEVE ODA LINKED BROOK BACK TO A CHARACTER WE MET 400 CHAPTERS PRIOR. 10/10 WRITING

- “Quartet... trio.... duet... solo....” excuse me I’m fucking crying??? fuck u Oda honestly.. Also, Bink’s Sake? WHAT AN ABSOLUTE TUNE.

- the entire aesthetic of Thriller Bark is so fcking cool?? Spooky forest, cerberus, zombies, ghosts, giant haunted castle, SHADOW CREATURES?? PERONA’S GOTH PRINCESS DESIGN?? and the FUCKING ZOMBIE DANCE???

- SO MANY GREAT Strawhat combo moves!!!! 600 mil beri jackpot!! Super Frapper Gong!! Robicho Suplex!!!! ICONIC

- Luffy’s shadow is put into a giant fuckin monster and the first thing the monster says?? “MEAAAAAAAAAT” Sanji being put into that hideous dog-penguin was also HILARIOUS

- All of the Strawhats vs Oars is srsly one of my fave goddamn fights in all of OP because unlike a lot of other arcs where they all split up and have individual fights, this really showed how great they work together as a team and there were so many great and memorable moments!! ONE DOWN!!!

- That fight also gave us The Greatest Series of Panels in Existence:

- NEGATIVE ZORO/LUFFY/FRANKY IS THE FUNNIEST SHIT

- “I WAS NEGATIVE FROM THE START” bitch me too the fuck

- introduced Lola who a) is a total fucking angel b) indirectly saved the crew’s ass during WCI (also Nami and Lola’s friendship is the purest fucking thing)

- TACTICS 15 DOCKING. GIANT ROBOT WARRIOR: BIG EMPEROR

- “It’s embarrassing as a human being”

- “A BEAUTIFUL FEMALE SWORDSMAN JUST BROUGHT A LOT OF MEAT” “beautiful?” “swordsman?” “meat?”

- first mentions of Wano and how Kaido annihilated Moriah’s entire crew and I swear we’re gonna get some SERIOUS Thriller Bark pay off during the Wano arc

- Zoro fighting Ryuma and getting Shusui was such a good fuckin fight and also again, HUGE Wano pay-off?? not to mention how COOL the entire fight was with them running up ad down the rooftop and Zoro getting Brook’s shadow back

- that scene where Zoro welcomes Brook to the crew by saying “you’re gonna have your hands full” is equal parts cute and fucking dumb like alright welcome aboard but u made a fuckin mistake my guy

- This is the funniest scene in manga history if not all of fiction in general: Do NOT argue with me:

- okay I shouldn’t even have to bring this up but... y’all... the end of the arc... “how can I protect my dream when I can��t even protect my captain”....Zoro taking in all of Luffy’s pain.... ready to die and abandoning his own dream bc he knows that Luffy HAS to be pirate king... the most METAL FUCKING THING ON EARTH (and it KILLS me that Luffy still doesn’t know) “... nothing... happened...” a bitch is shook to THIS DAY (and pls remember that Robin and Brook also know what happened)

- when Kuma tells them to hand over Luffy and EVERYONE basically yells “FUCK U”

- Kuma saying “I’ve heard that Strawhat Luffy has gathered some skilled crewmembers” followed by THIS ?? LIKE HOW CUTE

- Absalom is absolute trash and the worst thing about the arc but fuck me if Nami didn’t look beautiful in the wedding dress

I was tagged by @rinthegreat to do this meme and I’m definitely up for it so y’all can cringe at my bad old writing. Rules: 1. Post a quote or short excerpt from your early days of writing/ARTING. The Cringe Section: Sadly my oldest fanfics were posted on a geocities website hosted by someone I knew at the time and are gone forever. But I did back some of them up onto deviantART and I think this is the oldest one. It’s from a Sonic the Hedgehog (lol yeah) fanfic called “SU Forever”. I was going to just post a couple of paragraphs, but then I found this hilarious part where my over-powered Gary-Stu OC takes down “Robo Knux” and I just had to include the whole thing for the full cringe effect: It took awhile for this information to reach the hedgehog's ears as he was still staring in awe at the amazing design of this robot, the Freedom Fighters didn't stand a chance... But after a short silence he spoke, "You-you're Robo Knuckles aren't you?" The words sounded stupid even as they left his mouth, but since he was no longer facing the computer he hadn't seen the picture. "I prefer Robo Knux if you don't mind," answered the Metallix still with a set smirk upon his face, "My friends call me RK, but you are not one of them, however you may call me that if you wish. And you must be Artemis Fowl, although I severely doubt that is your real name since you don't look like a character from a child's story book." After finishing this he stood with his menacing claws intertwined waiting for a reply. It was the hedgehog's turn to smirk now, "Well done, you are the first person in this Empire to actually find me, but that's all you've done. You haven't caught me and you don't know my real name," was the reply. Robo Knux let out a dedicative laugh, he seized the hedgehog by the collar of his white t-shirt and pulled him forwards so that they were so close the he could see himself reflected in the metallix's eyes. After pausing for effect he said in a cool, bone chilling voice, "That's what I intend to do." The hedgehog struggled for a few seconds but didn't give an answer so RK tried again, "Come on Arty I don't have all day! There's Freedom Fighters out there far more dangerous then you that I could be taking down." "Oh really?" said Artemis flinging himself backwards so that his feet came forwards hitting off the robot's metallic chest and sending him flying back against the wall. RK was stunned, more from the mere shock that this spy had hurt him then from the actual physical damage. He sat there just staring at the yellow hedgehog. "I doubt you'll meet a Freedom Fighter out there who's more of a threat then me," Continued Artemis, allowing himself to be bigheaded for a minute. Then he jumped past RK and disappeared out of the door. Robo Knux could have got up and gave chase, probably even catching his prey, he knew that he could. But for some reason he sat there in thought. His main thought was how to explain his failure to Doctor Robotnik. Something I’m Proud Of: I was torn between a few fics I’ve been proud of lately, but in the end I settled for a scene from “Prison Food”, the second story in the Trail Mix series, where zombie Haru calls Hayato out on his bullshit (if you’re not familiar with Trail Mix, Haru’s voice is fucked, which is why his dialogue reads like that): “I beg your pardon?” gaped Hayato. “...Don't aa-ct like th-that... I be-lieve yoou thaaat you're u-under press-uure... buuut you c-clearly g-get your ownn... waaay a lot here... The people all l-liike you...” said Haru, “...Come a looong w-way, haveen't you, Ha-aayato...?” Hayato sat down again. The angry pacing must have tired him out. He ran his hand through his hair, something that... Haru remembered Kisumi doing when he was stressed. In many ways Hayato was like Kisumi, but in many more ways he wasn't. “I'm doing this all for my family...” he mumbled, “But there have been... perks. I've gotten comfortable. I like my job. That doesn't seem wrong to me, but... you're right. You said to me that being around other zombies ran the risk of setting you back, I just didn't expect such a severe reaction out of nowhere to just that one.” “...He wasss f-from Iwa-aatobi...” Haru pointed out. He needed to know for sure. “Yes, I admit that they've started taking in samples from there, despite my protests,” answered Hayato, “So don't you dare say I get my own way all the time again. I actually; for once, don’t like this character - you might think it’s based off of his looks, ew, never assume I dislike a character on appearances alone. I appear and seem shallow but I’m really not, it’s like a cover. Well disguised cover.

I hate his personality traits.

He acts so high on power; like he’s untouchable and unbeatable but the moment he knows he’s on the losing side, he’ll cry, cower and ask for mercy like the sniveling little shit he is.

He reminds of people I pushed out of my life for a good reason. Weak, manipulative and conniving.

But you know what; the fact that he’s able to will this sort of reaction and feelings - shows that he’s a good character, good at what he’s doing. I can respect that.

Great character, but like the majority in One Piece - overconfident and arrogant, like it’s kind of why y’all get your ass kicked by a boy. Age doesn’t mean maturity or all your decisions are made wisely.

I would like to know more about his backstory, we got everyone else’s because they’re going to be pushed aside but him - he needs his and I’m waiting.

He’s not a really trusting man; much like Doflamingo - like a lot of these older pirates aren’t trusting either.

Fuck boi, fight me, like right now.

No but seriously, I gravitated to this character more than any other in this series - his love for pink, his carefree nature and his controlling tendencies - Like a moth to a flame and I’m willing to burn in hell for them.

I spend the better part of being in this fandom hyperfixated on them, oops.

But yeah, I do that often actually - I base my life around characters to keep me somewhat sane and emotionally stable. Too bad for everyone though, me fixating on him made me more honest, mayde me more egotistical and so goddamn flamboyant.

He teaches you to be you and that’s cool. I love Doflamingo but I’mma slam dunk his ass down a trash chute.

If you want a romantic ship with this character, well you know - it wouldn’t be very romantic because he’s not the type to let go easily; he holds onto you because you belong to him and well, if you aren’t strong or capable, expect death being your only way out.

How I feel about this character

You know, I don’t say this often - much like Gin and a couple of side characters or antagonists, Moriah has made an impact on me. What affected me a lot is that expression when he spoke about his crew - I can relate, I don’t want to lose anyone important to me and when we do, it’s a huge loss on our psyche and our mentality from then on.

I love him honestly.

He’s lazy, he’s got an agenda and he acknowledges it. Honest, he’s just out right with what he thinks. He’s not physically appealing and his theme is halloweeny, what a weeny. The guy wears fishnet… Amazing!

No one, really.

His crew; whomever they were - Moriah deserves to have his friends and crew. A father/daughter relationship between him and Perona.

Eh, I never really make fun of people or even character’s appearances - I just can’t do it, because you know… I’m not that terrible of a person. And I know it’s suppose to be, you know, funny but my sort of my fun or humor is like at no one’s expense.

One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.

Please, come back? You didn’t die. Also fuck up Kaido, he’s bleh… Reminds me of someone I know and I think he deserves to keel over.

On With The Show | Mastermind Trial | Keiichi, Ike, Kojima | ATTN: ALL

Kojima merely shrugged off the words of the others, but his silence was tense as he walked over to Keiichi. “The key to get out of here is the mindchip that Ishiguro had helped me develop. Not any mindchip would work, so don’t start trying to pry it off of your PDAs… Only the original one will do, the one in Keiichi’s neck here.”

Keiichi’s eyes widened, and he took a few steps back as the scientist tried to near him and Kimiko. “Woahwoahwoah-- y- you- you are NOT going to--”

“You’re right, I will not,” he interrupted his creation. Keiichi still remained on the defense with his arm out in front of Kimiko, eyeing him carefully for any sudden moves. Kojima continued as he began to explain.

“Keiichi-- when I involved you in this experiment… I had wanted to see how far you had developed as not just an android, but as a person,” he said as he crossed his arms, “You’ve… surprised me everyday-- I hadn’t expected you to do or the say the things you’ve said after reprogramming you. You weren’t just a carbon copy of myself when I was younger- in fact, you did more than I could as a teenager.”

Keiichi’s brows furrowed together as his father smiled at him.

“You’ve made so many people happy, you partook in activities and clubs, you had real dreams. I loved seeing you wake up and tell me all of these ideas you had in that head of yours- talking about how excited you were to go to university or to start teaching. And then-- then your smarts! You taught yourself a whole language! In just a month? Who just goes and learns Chinese because ‘it sounds fun’?”

“S- Stop… Stop it…” Keiichi said quietly, but Kojima didn’t catch it. He flinched as he walked towards him, still going on.

“I wanted to prove to my superiors how human you were, Keiichi. You’re not just a clone or a preservation of me- you are your own person. You’re my son. You’re my only proudest creation.” The scientist’s voice remained strong, but his eyes were growing wet with tears. “I had promised my superiors… that the second you were to go out of line during this game, the very moment you attempt to attack any of your classmates-- you would be permanently shut down.”

Kojima closed his eyes as he sighed, appearing thankful. “And you didn’t. Even now, you’re trying to make sure no one else will die by my hand… I couldn’t be any prouder of you.”

Keiichi shook, trying to keep his own breath steady. He hated how emotional he felt now all of sudden. He hated remembering his father so fondly before and worrying about his life just a few weeks ago, and now all of this coming out to him. His evils and wrong-doings, and yet finding the heart in him to say these sort of things to him.

The old man stepped away, saying to the class. “Keiichi here… wasn’t the one you saw in the video before. The android before the reprogramming would be Ike here.”

Ike clicked his tongue, rolling his eyes before tugging on the black choker around his neck. Kojima continued, “He’s been helping me along the experiment since we started our work at Jokiku District, with most of the motives and other things, like assembly and programming as well.”

“Keiichi and Ike… are different. While Keiichi was able to live the life of a loving family and attend high school, Ike has… retained my original memories as a teenager. He is much closer to me in all ways physically and mentally than Keiichi was.”

“Barely,” Ike snorted.

Kojima frowned, looking to him. “Yes… barely… You’ve been going off in a different direction recently. One could even say you’ve been plotting to kill me since we officially started this murder game.”

Ike laughed, “Pffhaha, yeah, guilty.” The android sighed, smiling to his creator as he mused, “Y’think I couldn’t have done a better job than you? I already have, by a long shot.”

The senior closed his eyes, pinching the bridge of his nose. “I would wake up in the middle of the nights… thinking I was still in a nightmare when I would see him hovering over me with a knife in his hand. I couldn’t believe how far gone he was, but then he would talk feverishly about what to do next, what sort of threats to place, and when to attack… Unlike Keiichi, Ike wouldn’t waste a second to kill me or anyone here if he had the chance.”

Kojima then opened his eyes tiredly as he said, “So that is why while I have considered EIAC24 a success… I will be shutting you down permanently, Ike.”

Ike’s amusement shifted quickly to anger as he yelled out, “WHAT? No. NO. You’re kidding--- are you insane?!”

The android moved quickly to Kojima, taking him by the collar of his shirt as he sneered at him. “You’re NOTHING without me-- you think you can just decide when to shut me down and act as if you can keep this going with JUST HIM? No. NO. I’ll kill you-- I’ll keep this project going on my own terms, and if you think you can--”

“EIAC23, input 1290984058603.45.”

Ike immediately whirred down to a stop. There was a few still moments of silence, as everyone waited to see if he would boot back up like Keiichi had done previously. However, Ike remained still and lifeless and Kojima carefully removed himself from his grip.

“Now then. Seeing as this one is now useless to me and useful to y’all, we can just take the mindchip from him.” Kojima straightened the collar of his shirt before reaching forward to Ike’s head and adjusting him. “It should only take about a few seconds if I just--”

A loud and heavy CRRRRAAACK shook the trial room as Kojima held the sides of Ike’s head and snapped his neck clean off his shoulders. He stood there emotionlessly, watching the body fall backwards like a statue before walking back to Keiichi’s podium with Ike’s head in his hands.

Keiichi’s eyes were wide, clutching his chest. “H- Holy sh*t.”

“Language, Keii-chan,” Kojima warned him, his fingers fiddling with the remains of Ike’s neck as he tore at the skin and parts with what little strength he could. “These androids here are actually very weak. This is a warning to you, Keiichi-- don’t let anyone near ya head.” Then, he held up a small blue chip. “That’s ya key.”

Then he tossed it over to Jo, saying, “It’s in better hands to this one I would think. It’s not difficult-- just insert the chip into its key slot and you’ll be safe.”

And what would be outside for them? Where would they go? It looked as if he was purposely ignoring those questions as Kojima stepped back from the podium and then clapped his hands together.

“I’d hate to waste any more of y’all’s time, so let’s get this rollin’. Karoshi-kuma?”

He nodded to the purple bear before looking back to the others and nodded to them.

“Thank you for your involvement.”

With that, a metal collar sprung forth from behind Kojima and clasped around his neck. Then he was pulled backwards into the darkness behind him, onto his execution.

No Laughing Matter (Okay, Maybe a Little) || Dororou Fufuto || Trial 5.1 || Re: Boom and other assorted Revelations || Attn: All

When the first heard the bangs, Dororou came as soon as he could. Not because he was afraid, no, if anything, he was curious. To be fair, he hadn’t ever heard a gun - for all he knew someone was banging pots and pans together - so when everyone was gathered around the entrance to the second floor’s bathroom, he tried to peek past everyone - and at 6’4”, it was pretty easy - and saw… Rachele, struggling there on the floor. He… he…

He chuckled. After all, it was just a big joke, right?

“Nyuff, Nyuff… Knock it of, Giordani-chan,”

He stood there chuckling to himself until she died, right there in front of them. When the lights came back, it was then the severity of it all hit him. No laughter, no bawling, this time… Dororou was silent. What was there to say? Only to rush downstairs at the next bang only to find Matsu dead too…

This alone was enough to bring rain clouds to his mood - it wasn’t like him to laugh off a classmate dying in front of him like that, could he have been more insensitive? But after finding out something else from Karoushi-kuma so unrealistic, so implausible, it was just downright unbelievable… then again, something so out of left field like that couldn’t be made up… it somehow went downhill from there.

So when all the power went wonky, and checking with Karoushi about what the deal was showed the bot powerless too… it was his chance. His chance to act. So after giving Karoushi a mullet, he got himself a screwdriver and jammed it into the bear. Unfortunately for him he didn’t really predict the outcome of the bear eventually exploding... leaving him with nothing to do but swing on the swings until people started showing up.

However, before anyone could show up, they did. The human… er, bear, wave of Karoushi-kuma units. And they inflicted the harshest punishment the city had yet to see…

… they took his fanny pack.

So from there he stood pouting as the others assembled, only to be rudely pushed by the mass towards the fountain - he muttered something under his breath when he reached his classmates… at the least he was back up with them.

“Hmmph! Smelly old geezers…”

Normally these kinda things usually are a little more drawn out compared to now, with everything happening at lightning speed… Dororou barely had a chance to react.a mastermind trial? Well, considering it would mean getting out of this place Dororou was in favour of that. But first it seemed there was the murders that needed addressed, and thanks to Hideo that was out of the way pretty quickly.

“Kimiko…”

The first time he actually got to touch base with her was way back before the first time they were in here - when Yeichi killed that employee fellow. She said she was a fan of his… and from what he’d seen of her, he was a fan of hers too - see seemed upbeat most of the time, and was a rather genuine person… so learning that she did this… learning why she did this… learning how she felt about it…

...it hurt. It hurt a lot, and he wasn’t gonna stand by and watch her tear into herself like that. Besides, he has something he should probably say.

“They’re right, Kimiko. The best thing you can do right now is not die. That’s what the mastermind wants, because then the cycle continues. If you die, then what’s the point in their deaths? The deaths of three people may not weigh on your shoulders but the weight is still there, you feel? Besides, you shouldn't be blaming yourself over it - at least not entirely,”

Wait… did he say three? Is this another miscounting thing with the six fingers? He rubs the back of his neck, and sighs - having a little ironic chuckle before continuing.

“Hehehe, Yeah… I miiiiight have messed up. How was I supposed to know putting a screwdriver through Karoushi’s belly button would make the bear explode? So not only did the wave of ‘Bosses’ take my fanny pack, but if the trial would end like it was planned, Kimiko probably wouldn’t be the only one getting executed… I know I pulled that thing last trial so if you don’t want to believe me then don’t… but I think we all agree figuring out ‘big picture’ stuff is probs the top priority of all of us,”

Well, looks like he might have spoken too soon, as next thing he knew he was presented with a question, and taking one glance at his own question practically had him already saying his goodbyes to Kimiko. It’s a shame he couldn’t phone a friend, as looking around the room he was sure multiple people - though Jo in particular - could help him out with this one.

This is where you stabbed my Karoshi-kuma. Tell me, which part of the computer is responsible for performing the calculations and processes within a computer system? a) CPU b) Motherboard c) Hard Drive

Since obviously Dororou has below-basic computer skills, it seemed he was gonna have to give this the good ol’ educated guess. Now his gut instinct told him to pick B for Banana - well, Belly Button too but still - but at the same time… that seemed like the answer they would want him to pick, so not B. Now that left Hard Drive and CPU, and Dororou was fairly certain there were a lot more c’s and p’s in the question than anything about driving, not to mention CPU was an anagram for CUP, which sounds like CUPuter. Sheer intelect here, y’all.

Dororou makes his choice. Now it seemed he had to wait for everyone else to finish before continuing, however it seemed Akihiko was fully intent on keeping things going. When he mentioned setting off an explosive in the park, he laughed.

“Hey Akihiko, looks like we’re matching! I never got any messages or anything like that, but I also managed to blow up the park! Nyuff, Nyuff, Nyuff,”

As soon as he started getting accusatory, however, then he has to step in for his robro.

“Though I don’t really think now is the time to point fingers - Keiichi’s always been a pretty cool dude, I mean I might be a little out of the loop as to why you think that, but I thought we were all on the same page that Keiichi… was human? I mean with all the ‘transference’ stuff with his mom kinda figured that’s what’s up with him too? I mean he didn’t even know he was a robot himself, so I was under the assumption he wasn’t always? I don’t know, but I don’t think he’s responsible. Involved? Definitely. Responsible? Never. Plus the two Keiichis angle doesn’t make sense - not only are we the only ones here besides that employee, who’s already dead, but also wasn’t transference fatal? Like I thought that’s what happened to… yeah...”

He clapped his hands together. That was all he had to say on that, which meant it was time to change subjects before they broke Keiichi again.

“For now let’s focus on what we know… or don’t. Kimiko-chan went after Giordani-chan first, and then Matsukaze-san was just in the wrong place at the wrong time, right? Does that mean that Giordani was targeted, or was that random too? If so, why would the mastermind want her dead? I mean she never actually told us her talent - at least that I know of - which I’m assuming the mastermind knew along with the rest of our secrets, so was whatever she was the reason why? Or does… did she know something we didn’t? Or am I just getting ahead of myself?"
