If the Mutant Massacre happens in X-Men '97, do you think Gambit will be involved in it like he was in the comics? Do you think the writers for '97 would be willing to adapt The Trial of Gambit for the show?

Given that the general remit of XTAS was often to remix classic Claremont era stories and the 90s comics together, I would expect that since Gambit is a core part of the cast, they would incorporate the retcon about his involvement in the Mutant Massacre into the plot, because that's a really good hook.

I imagine there would be some sort of fallout, but I don't think they'd do the whole Magneto in Disguise, Gambit walks home from Antarctica thing.
