For a future Splatoon instalment, I want Squid Surge entirely replaced with a charge dash that you can use on both walls AND the ground. It'd be able to do exactly what Squid Surge can, and more

I REALLY want Splatoon to get far more physics-y in the future—it's such a natural direction to take the series in, considering a lot of what sets Splatoon apart (or at least used to) from other shooters is its focus on momentum. And now Splatoon 3 literally even has a far more sophisticated physics engine than the past games but it DOESN'T EVEN REALLY UTILISE IT

Also as an example to prove my point even further, you can IMMEDIATELY see just how much better the original Scorch Gorge concepts would work in a more physics-heavy game with this type of movement. Everything just lines up

Basically what I really want is for Splatoon to be more like the Fancy Pants Adventure games

#on the gourgeist post‚ when i clicked Add to queue‚ tumblr just Hung for a solid two minutes until i refreshed the page #and then i checked the queue and it was already queued up anyway. but the page reloaded all weird and looked like for a split second #some posts from my dash had entered the queue. so in lieu of this Being A Website‚ i'm gonna leave that post where it is and hope the queue #has not been contaminated #anyway i thought this thing was gen 8 because that was the first place i saw it. which is weird because i'm the big gen 6 proponent #but i guess i just never saw this one when i played pokémon X as a kid #inb4 someone is like. yeah it's pokémon Y exclusive. like what happened with spritzee #naw bulbapedia says it's not. i was just bad at video games i guess. or it's a rare spawn or something. or i just got unlucky #bergmite #however the pokédex entries seem to suggest it has gotten two (2) degrees warmer since generation 8 #from gen 6 to gen 8 the dex entries stated it used air of -150ºF #but now in gen 9 the dex entry states it's only -148ºF #climate change is affecting even the bergmite. what has this world come to

Some more of that Chai joins Vandelay for half a day AU. Or just a picture of a kinda OOC Kale chilling if you wanna gloss over those comics. I'm still not sure if the colours are too garish or not.

These were mostly done with the premise of treating Kale's office like the hideout. I also really like how mundane, or familiar, the interactions between Chai and Kale can be in the game so I wanted to draw some stuff exploring more like that. But also, there's the ulterior motive of shipping so I included an out of context scene because I can't bother drawing the rest of it (though it seems like a huge jump in their relationship as a result. I think they're so big headed that they get stuck in a feedback loop of stroking the other's ego if an excuse comes up to do so)

I would love to see a heartfelt, gut-wrenching goodbye kiss from Finnick and Annie because you know they've had a good few of those kisses in their traumatic life.

When the alarm goes off, Annie doesn’t move. She’s been awake for what feels like hours. She still isn’t going to move, because if she does, then this will splinter and fracture and it will actually be the morning, and he will actually need to leave.

At least he’s leaving in the morning. She hates when he leaves at night. It means that he won’t get any sleep and then he’ll be expected to perform even more exhausted than he normally is. She doesn’t think he slept much anyway. She doesn’t know.

She’s spinning out, so she squeezes her eyes shut and pretends it’s not the morning until Finnick turns the alarm off. He exhales slowly next to her.

He has to know she’s awake. Has to. But he needs her to not be upset, and Annie’s fraying around the edges too much to keep it together the way he needs her to.

She drags herself out of bed at the last second. She knows they’ve both put it off, he’ll have to run the whole way to make it to the train on time, so she runs down the stairs and nearly collides with him as she stumbles on the last step.

He catches her. It’s almost thoughtless, the way he does it. Like he’ll always catch her.

“Finnick,” she says helplessly, and draws his head down to hers so she can kiss him.

It’s quicker than she wants. She wants to lose herself in it. She knows she can’t, but she does, just for a second, in the feel of his lips on hers. How soft his hair is under her fingertips.

“You’d better run,” she says against his lips. “Don’t want to be late.” Her voice cracks.

Finnick kisses her again and then turns and dashes out the door. He never said a word to her. She doesn’t think he could.

Annie collapses into a kitchen chair and stays there, staring at the wood grain of the table, for a long, long time.

Peeta’s and Katniss’ roles reversed Part 2

(Well, yes, that topic is still very much on my mind and I want to start writing this soon)

So... if Peeta’s and Katniss’ roles were reversed in Mockingjay and Peeta is the one who gets rescued from the arena and not Katniss, another thing I can’t stop thinking about is who is he stuck with in D13.

No matter who got saved or not from the arena, the Capitol would still taking it out on D12 to set an example and to punish the star-crossed lovers. Gale would still see the warning signs and start evacuating people. Still a lot of people would not react fast enough and therefore be left in D12, when the bombing starts. Peeta’s family would be among them and therefore be dead.

There he is, alive and somehow well, in D13. His family is gone, Katniss is in the Capitol and he is stuck with... sober Haymitch, crying Finnick and... raging Gale. Well, of course, there would be Prim, Mrs. Everdeen and Delly, but let’s focus on the male characters first.

Peeta, very much like Katniss, would definitely attack Haymitch, just not physically like she did, more like with words filled with spite and rage. “You promised me to safe her! You owed me this!” Uhm, and that’s still on the nicer end of things he would say to Haymitch. So, I’ll guess, they won’t be spending much time together at first in D13.

Finnick is still devastated about losing Annie, but Peeta can so hardcore relate to what Finnick is feeling and what he is going through, they would quickly become friends. Maybe even getting a room together, while Katniss and Annie are still in the Capitol. (Similar to Johanna and Katniss) They would be tying knots together and console each other during their breakdowns.

But because Peeta is approached by Coin to be the face of the revolution, it’s safe to say, at this point, Katniss is the only thing, he lives for. If she hadn’t saved him in the first Hunger Games and then was left behind in the Quell, he would not be standing here. He knows that. And we all read how tough he was, when it came to protecting her before the Quell, while she was still there. Just imagine him going absolutely feral and becoming a bad-ass motherfucker, while still remaining a good and decent person. (And yes, I very much believe this is possible, just say one word and I will elaborate the shit out of this one)

Therefore Peeta is forced to leave Finnick be Finnick for a while and start doing something to get Katniss and Annie back. (And Johanna and the other remaining Victors). And guess who is the most concerned about Katniss’ rescue and is also in a more important position in the rebellion?

Right, it’s Gale. And they would fight a lot. I mean, Katniss already picked every possible fight with Gale, and they were best friends at that time. I guess with Peeta it would have been similar or worse.

Gale would act very childish and bitter, because he saw the Quell, right? The beach scene, the goodbye kiss... Uhm, he is going to be jealous. Even if he doesn’t want to let it out on Peeta, he still has all that pent up anger with no way to go. (other than planning to kill civilians, lmao)

And Peeta on the other and could not leave some thing unsaid. Not about Katniss, actually, everybody knows his stance on this topic, but Peeta would be disgusted beyond compare, when learning about Gale’s war pinterest board with Beetee.

However, they both have the same goal in mind, so they would find a way to work together, even though it might take a while, since both have very different approaches handling stressful situations. They wouldn’t hate each other, but they are not going to become friends either.

The stress of today troubles melts away with his beloved star gentle kiss. Moments like these are fleeting that if Yinyue Jun isn't careful- it'll be gone in a blink of an eye. For Yingxing and his short life, he savors every bit of his love freely given to him. Yet it was never enough for Yinyue Jun.

To think the esteemed High Elder became so greedy. Every second of the day spent with his star is a treasure he zealously guards close to his heart like a possessive dragon.

"Yingxing." Yinyue Jun sighs happily against his lips. He raises his hands to cup Yingxing cheeks, "I wish for this moment to last forever, my burning star."

But "forever" is crueler than death as "love" can become poison.

The dream crumbles like sand and slips between his fingers.

In front of Yinyue Jun is a stranger who wears the same face as his beloved star. Instead of violet eyes filled with love, he meets a pair of crimson eyes twisted by hate. The hands grasping his cheek burns as if this man wants to turn him into ashes.

"You...!" The High Elder snarls, reaching to wrench this man hands away from him.

Then the squelch of a blade sinking into flesh is heard loud and clear.

Azure eyes are wide and horrified to see Cloud Piercer in his hands. The blade cutting flesh and crushing the sternum before it aims straight for the heart. Crimson rivulets drip down the spear, staining his hands red with his blood. His vision blurs, watching the man coughs on his own blood yet his beastly eyes never left him.

Realization dawns on Yinyue Jun and his voice wavers, "I...What have I-"

"I'm not him!" Another voice, younger and panicked, screams in the darkness.

The illusion is gone, Dan Heng shoulders tremble with barely concealed frustration. His eyes are wide with fear, but filled with determination to live and survive another day.

"How many times must I say it until will you accept it? That man crimes has nothing to do with me- He is dead."

Resolved, the youth digs his spear deeper into Blade heart waiting for his life to fade.

"I. Am. Not. Dan Feng!"

When the light is gone from Blade eyes, he retracts back his spear. The body goes limp, falling to the ground with a hole in his chest. Blood gathering into a pole underneath him, cold and unmoving. Dan Heng eyes him warily before he turns his back and leaves without another glance.

Sooner or later, and hopefully much later, the ghost will rise again after a brief respite in Death embrace.

The chase will continue. This dance of sword and spear, of life and death, will never end until one of them truly dies.

So you know how we all laughed a little at the end of The Plan when Dieter outlined the day he wanted to have with Murch? He literally came so close to quoting Jennifer Coolidge's "it makes me want a hot dog real bad." BUT Dieter is a man of his word, and he is 100% taking Murch on this date right then, right now.

They do have to get out of his place first though, and boy can that be distracting (but also very heartwarming because you know this boy is a softie):

Face breaking out into a brighter grin, Dieter closes the gap and plies you with soft, gentle kisses that light your skin on fire. You mold against him, fingers in his hair scratching along his scalp. He slots that full lower lip between yours and you suck on it with a flick of your tongue, letting him dive deeper with no aim but to drink from you. Where his tongue had plundered your mouth last night, now he’s careful as he traces your upper lip, laps against your own, and sighs into you.

“You’re so pretty,” he murmurs against your lips, your teeth clacking together for a moment of levity. He tips his head lower and you press a line of kisses along his nose, ending at his forehead while he ducks to scrape his teeth along your jaw. Pulling you into his arms he takes to mouthing along your neck and shoulder, your fingers occupied buried in his hair. When a particularly toe-curling suck pulls a moan from your mouth Dieter chuckles into your skin and hikes your leg over his hip.

“Love having you draped over me, sweetheart,” he purrs, and that nickname-of-a-nickname falls from his kiss-drunk lips as you grind against his hard cock. Dieter could take you at this angle but instead he eases you to your back, fitting himself against your side. His halo of curls, made more wild by your ministrations, hangs above your face.
