Hello! Of course you may. I'm sorry this has taken as long as it did. I have written a long one.

I have finally finished playing 3 days ago and your request has given me an idea to start a mini series of one-shot based on Your time to shine called "Y/n's time to shine". Thank you! I had a blast writing this! 🧡

🌴Y/n's time to shine

Kai Satou x reader

Being stuck on an island wasn't as bad as it sounded, at least for you it wasn't. You weren't alone, you had your allies with you and together you made this place liveable.

You were closest to the 6th grader Gin Ibushi and homemaker Kai Satou. You often went crafting with them.

Gin approached you "Hey Big sis/bro/sib Y/n! Do you have a moment?"

"Yes, of course. What do you need?" You said.

"I was wondering if you could help me with something, meow." He said.

"Of course, what is it?" You said

"Well, long haired apron guy and I are working on 'Make mom cry with joy' project. You are good with chores, meow. Can you help me, meow? I think it will be more successful with two tutors, woof." Gin told you excitedly.

"Is that so? That is wonderful. How would I ever be able to turn you down with such heartwarming project?" You replied enthusiastically.

After a little bit of chores later you were able to teach Gin the basics of dusting.

He smiled and said "You are amazing Big sis/bro/sib Y/n! Is there anything you can't do?"

You replied most seriously "You are overestimating me Gin. There is certainly a lot of things I can't do."

"Hmm..." He looked at you curiously "Like what?"

"Well..." You started "I cannot help sick people as I did not receive medical education. I cannot sing very well. I cannot for the life of me find a husband. I cannot cook... Oh, please... Do not ask me to cook..."

"Big sis/bro/sib Y/n can't cook! I can't imagine it!" Gin seemed a bit surprised.

You looked at him awkwardly "It is better that you don't know how bad I really am."

"And what was that about not finding a husband?" He asked you "I can't imagine that there isn't a line of guys just waiting to marry you. You must have pretty high standards."

"W-Well... I guess so." You replied.

"Would you like to?" He asked. "Would you like to get married, I mean."

"Honestly...I want to get married but I'm scared I will be too late." You answered.

"Got it, meow!" Gin exclaimed. "You need to start looking now. I'm gonna help you, woof. I know what to do."

"Hold on, you can't just-" He was off before you could finish your thought.

You had a fun time with Gin.

Later that day you were visited by none other than Kai Satou, the handsome homemaker.

"Hello Miss/Mr/Mx Y/n. May I ask you something?"

"Kai, did you need anything from me?" You asked him.

"I have noticed that my disciple has been showing a huge improvement in his dusting. He is showing some really advanced techniques. I know for sure that I didn't teach him that." Kai said.

"I'm guessing that you came to ask me if I was the one that taught him that." You said.

"Well... I couldn't think of anyone else on this island who could have. You are very advanced in the art of doing chores." He said. "But... Gin is my disciple after all."

You looked at him "What is that supposed to mean?"

"It simply means..." Kai paused "I must assassinate you."

"Huh?!" You exclaimed "Excuse me!?"

His eyes were so serious at that moment, you felt like he was really going to assassinate you. His eyes turned to more playful ones after a few moments.

Kai chuckled "That was a joke."

"Hehe..." You laughed awkwardly "I didn't know you were such a jokester Kai."

"I would like you to help me with Gin's training Miss/Mr/Mx Y/n." Kai said. "It would appear you are a great teacher as you have teached him techniques that are a struggle even for advanced homemakers."

"I would love to." You answered him.

You had a fun time with Kai.

The following days, you were helping Gin's training and spending time with both Kai and Gin.

You and Kai had been getting closer day by day and Gin has started to notice that.

"Hey!!! Big sis/bro/sib Y/n! Long haired apron master! Can today's lesson be about cooking, meow!?" Gin asked excitedly.

"Of course Kai can teach you how to cook." You told him.

"No! I meant both of you, woof." Gin protested.

"Of course my disciple. We shall cover the basics." Kai said.

You started packing a little bit "Great! You can go do that! I have some... Things to attend to, I'll see you later." You tried so desperately to leave.

Kai stopped you before you could get any further. "Excuse me Miss/Mr/Mx Y/n, you said you didn't have anything in particular planned for today. What's with the sudden change of plans?"

"I-I-" before you could say another word, Gin interrupted you.

"Y/n is just embarrassed by the fact that she cannot cook well." Gin said "But don't worry Big sis/bro/sib! I wanted long haired apron master to teach us both, meow. So you won't be so embarrassed."

"So... That is what is causing you discomfort." Kai said "Do not worry Miss/Mr/Mx Y/n, I shall do my very best to be a great teacher!"

"A-alright, but don't expect anything! You'll just end up disappointed." You said and your lesson begun.

Kai was surprised, to say the least, he did not expect you to be as bad as you were.

"You are not doing this right." He came closer to you.

Your body's touching each other. You could feel the warmth rising at your face. You couldn't even focus on the cooking, not that it would turn out worse than what you would've normally cooked.

Your food surprisingly turned out decent.

"So... Big sis/bro/sib, we have crossed two things off of the list of what you can't do, meow." Gin said.

"Eh!? What do you mean two?" You asked.

"You learned how to cook decently and you found a husband. I'm a great matchmaker, aren't I?" Gin said.

You were very flustered, so you decided to just walk away.

You had a fun time with Kai and Gin.

Few days have passed and you tried avoiding Kai and Gin. It was not because you were uncomfortable, it was because you needed to get your feelings sorted.

"Miss/Mr/Mx Y/n, we need to talk." Kai suddenly approached you.

"Oh... Alright..." You told him.

"It was brought to my attention that you have been avoiding me and Gin." Kai said "And I wish to apologize for making you uncomfortable."

"No, you got it wrong. I'm not uncomfortable at all." You said.

"By all means, please come back to us. Gin misses you a lot... And so do I..." Kai said. The last part was almost a whisper.

"I... Really want to but... I do not wish to make things awkward between us." You told him.

Kai looked somewhat confused when you said that. "I apologize... I don't think I follow..."

"I... I really like you... Like, like you like you... I like you in a way I have never liked another man before..." You confessed.

It was silent for a few moments. You just started at Kai's shocked expression. You could master the words to say anything more up until he broke the silence.

"I'm absolutely delighted. I could have never imagined we feel the same way Miss/Mr/Mx Y/n. I'm moved to tears." Kai brought his frying pan to his face.

"Really?" You asked.

"Yes... I like you a lot Miss/Mr/Mx Y/n..." Kai got close to your face and kissed you. Just then he noticed a little boy in a cat hoodie watching you looking somewhat satisfied.

"How about we go somewhere more private?" Kai told you.

You had a fun time with Kai.

YTTD Drabble: Your Turn To Die But Everyone's Stuck In A RV Going On A Road Trip

Keiji should get a medal for focusing on the road around him. The RV Q-Taro rented out is packed wall to wall with their friends. They elected him to be the designated driver for this little road trip. It makes sense. He's the only one who doesn't risk the public when he drives. Well, other than Kai. Who sits in the passenger awaiting his turn to drive. If it was just Kai, the drive might be peaceful. But from the back come's the sound of an argument. Shin and Sara might start trying to shove each other out of the moving car if they don't arrive soon.

"YOU'RE DOING THAT ON PURPOSE!"

"What do you mean, Miss Sara?"

Shin's foot yanks on her seat belt. It's an annoying pull that makes Sara want to beat him with his own suitcases. If she had more faith in Keiji to not run them off the road at the sound of screaming, she would.

She looks to Joe for help, but he's wrapped up playing eye spy with Gin. They find each crack in the ceiling and stickers placed on the walls by Kanna for their game.

"Meow, I spy with my little eye, something tacky, woof!"

"Man, is that that your way of saying I'm gaudy?"

Joe's moping is laid out bare on his face. But that isn't what Gin seems to be mentioning.

"Meow nope! I spy with my little eye, Alice's hair!!"

"EXCUSE ME??!!"

Alice's voice comes from the front of the car as he moves to talk with Keiji. But Sara isn't as worried about Alice arguing with Gin as she feels a pull yet again on her seat belt.

"What's wrong, Miss Sara? Ahaha, you have a scary look in your eye. Am I bothering you?"

She won't give him an answer to that. That's what he wants. She has a card hidden that's much scarier than she could ever dream of being.

She catches the eyes of Reko, who snarls when she sees what Shin is up to. Poor guy. She almost feels bad for him as Reko turns to address him.

"Hey!!! Knock it the hell off, or we'll leave you at the side of the road!!"

Reko's eyes glare with such a fury Shin's face pales. He yanks his foot towards him and quietly stares out the window. That should be enough of that.

A moment of silence fills the car. But it doesn't last. Would it ever in a group like this?

"THAT CAR'S GETTING OVER!!"

"Yep. Mr.Policeman sees it."

Alice's voice echoes through the small car. Neither Keiji nor Kai looks amused as they safely get over.

"Alice. There's no need to backseat drive. Keiji has this under control."

Kai tries to calm his nerves, but Alice focus's back on the road. They would have him drive. But his license was revoked for driving into a ditch. Thrice. That doesn't stop him from telling Keiji at a high volume how to drive.

You have to envy Q-Taro, who sits off to the side, tuning out the group's antics. Anyone in the room could see he used to belong to a sports team. A sports team can't be much different than their group. You've got people talking loudly and....well, it's just the noise. If you ask Q-Taro, they're louder than a stadium. At this point, it's hard to tell if he's joking.

"Alice!! Want to help me draw a portrait of professor Mishima? Gin gave me his doodle board to work with."

You have to give it to Nao as she raises her voice over the ten others, holding out a magnetic drawing pad like it's the holy grail.

"Nao Egokoro, do you think I'm five- unless you enjoy it.....in which case I suppose I can give it a try!! But be warned...my art skills are mildly average!! Mwhaha, I'll show you what an average artist can do!!"

He takes a seat by Nao, and Shin stands to sit with them. Okay with Sara, who's glad she didn't have to break his foot before this trip is done.

With Alice's chaos momentarily contained, Mishima's voice finally clearly cuts through the RV. Kanna sits with him in the back. She listens with wonderment as Mishima lists off things to do on their vacation destination. To no one's shock, he's studied up and wants to put his teaching degree to good use.

"Kanna wants to find an ice cream shop! They could have new flavors to the ones back home!!"

"How wonderful, Miss Kanna! Enjoying your youth! I'm sure we can find one in town. Right, Miss Nao?"

"Yes!! Surely one of them will have banana ice cream! Such a rare flavor!!"

"I could go for a mocha."

Reko sits on the arm of Nao's chair, already daydreaming about the coffee she'll grab when they get there.

The mention of a sweat treat settles everyone down. It's something for their bored minds to look forward to. They all know the silence won't last, but it's nice while it stays.

Sure enough, Kanna's voice fills the air in no time at all.

"Um, Keiji? Do you know when we'll get there?"

Keiji looks back with a pale face. His knuckles grip the steering wheel until they are white. He looks as if he's seen the dead walking.

"Kanna. We've only been driving for an hour. We have five more to go."

A collective groan goes through the van. Today is going to be a long day.

Hello 💜 I might have been spamming you a bit with the likes but I really do enjoy your meta💜 I also wanted to mention that I really do like the way Reko says she wants to reach out to Shin if you go Reko/Sou route? Gin and Reko being worried about him (w/ Gin likely feeling guilt for having voted for Kanna) was pretty sweet, especially with him treating Gin nicely in general and Reko having tried to get him open up early into 2-2 Main Game too? I don't think that route will end well but (p1)

(p2) I would honestly dig Reko and Shin being on friendly terms if the cast made out, especially with how Alice/Kanna route has Alice ending up being a big bro protector figure to Kanna, while Reko the only adult Shin has yet to be betrayed by that's alive and had the sense to vote for him than Kanna is the younger sister who plays big sis to a good deal of the cast. It's just an interesting thing actually, that how dysfunctional Reko/Sou route vs Alice/Kanna is?

(p3) With former, there is still some awkwardness compared to Reko/Kanna with Reko having already taken a big sisterly role with her, but Alice is more than willing to look out for this child, while with Reko/Sou you can see that Reko genuinely feels bad for him and wants to amend things, yet Kanna's death really was the last straw for Shin that at best she is going to get Shin not looking out for chances to actively harm her (or Gin) while they might be collateral damage anyway.

Part idk bc I forgot to mention: I like how his "I-I wouldn't leave you behind..." to Gin right after they visit Gashu's secret room sounds like he is hurt that he would think he would leave a primary schooler back if he found an escape path too, especially with him in ch 1 saying Gin should rest with him and Kanna and likely having planned to look out for him too, if Gin wouldn't have said he gives him weird vibes and stuck to Sara. And offers him snacks to leave him work in Nao's room gfkfg

Okay I swear last part but I forgot to mention that I also like that Gin says he hates loner but doesn't want him to die/says he feels sorry for him for smelling gloomy and he is actually one of the members who while saying he hates him in 2-2 Main Game, he also does get worried for the "outsider" types, saying he is worried they might not get enough clear chips? That said wow bullied by a primary schooler rip Shin

Hello there! I really enjoy your meta too! 💜

I absolutely love this ask. You wrote so much, so I wish I could think of interesting things to say, but all I want to say is “I love Shin’s relationships with Gin and Reko too!! I love them so much!!”

I suppose, in a way, Gin and Reko act as a barometer for how a “normal, decent person” would react to Shin. They are suspicious of him and sympathetic towards him at all the right moments in the narrative. They are neither as cynical as Keiji nor as optimistic as Kanna. But they are hilarious and I love that for them!

Like, you just mentioned all these genuinely sweet moments for them. But if I can pull up some contentious memories:

REKO: I'm gonna take that bastard out, I swear...!!

GIN: I bet he's just hiding under the bed in his room or something, woof!!

REKO: Perfect spot for a treacherous ass like him! Let's check it out!

This comes from the beginning of Chapter 2 when the whole team is on a witch hunt for Shin, and I just! I love how eager and aggressive they are in their pursuit of justice, oh my god haha. I love how well they both team up against him. It’s such fantastic dark humor.

Then I love how you can tell from Nankidai’s writing that Reko aggressively shakes Shin when they finally find him!

KANNA: What in the world happened?

SOU: Eh...? / T... That's what I wanna know... / Where is this place... When did I get here...?

REKO: Cram it, you bastard...! Like hell anybody's gonna worry about you now! / What're you plotting?! Tell me!

SOU: W... Waugh?! Hold on...!

KEIJI: Now, now. Violence isn't the answer, Reko.

REKO: Tch...!!

SOU: W... What is it...? You're so mean suddenly...

Featuring a bonus obnoxious “Now now” from Keiji, LMAO get a load of this filthy hypocrite.

I just love to imagine Reko grabbing Shin by the scarf and shaking him! Nankidai blesses us with the wackiest scenarios.

Also remember when Gin wanted to scribble on Shin’s doll??

GIN: Let’s scribble on the loner’s doll, meow!

SARA: Gin…

CHOICE: Don’t get us caught

SARA: Safalin will find out. Don’t touch them.

GIN: Meow! You’ll live to see another day, loner!

And they always call him “Beanie Man” and “Loner” instead of his name… They crack me up so much!! I could go on and on about them!

Anyway, the only reason I bring up these contentious moments is to highlight how sweet it is that they don’t actually hate Shin at all. As you pointed out, they end up sympathizing a lot with him! If Shin was just being his regular vulnerable self, they would probably be protective of him. (And just a little bit teasing!) I think that speaks very well for both Reko and Gin. It shows what genuine good souls they are.

I also love that you pointed to examples of Shin being protective of Gin! It’s lovely to imagine that if Shin hadn’t taken on the Sou persona, we could have seen more “big brother Shin” moments like that! Personally, I’m very fond of imagining Shin as a good big brother figure towards all three children in the Simulations. I want to think, in his true heart, Shin is someone who couldn’t stand to see the children die before him.

That makes it all the more tragic if they end up becoming collateral damage for Shin’s revenge. :(

I also love to imagine that they could become friends if Shin lived, and if things worked out just a little bit better. I don’t believe Shin actively hates them. Reko voted for him, and he would just hate Sara more for “tricking” Gin into helping to murder Kanna. I don’t know if Shin…wants to live anymore…in the route where Kanna dies… But if they managed to escape, I think Reko and Gin would both worry a lot about him! And they would want to help him. I’m certain!

Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me. I’m a huge, huge fan of the loner’s relationships with the rock star and the furry kid. Seeing fan art or fanfiction of them being actual friends gets straight to my heart.

Hey mod Kokichi, can I get a kin match up for any Danganronpa, Your turn to die and/or My hero academia characters? Thanks so much for what you do btw!

I view myself as very chaotic, bustling with energy, and a bit too friendly (it can make me gulliable or a bit afraid to conflict with others at times, but overall I’m confident in saying whatever.) I have adhd and the hyperness shows a bit, I also have no shame / dignity when it comes to making jokes (either puns, pick up lines or sexual). I am the type to make a chaotic joke in front of others just to see their reactions. I also am a bit spontaneous, I sometimes make animal noises randomly as a joke or greet people with a “rawr” to see how they react, and I am very goofy and love cute or sleepy speech, over using emoticons and owo when I text or the phrase nom nom.

I’m also however known as the mom or big sister friend of my group, I’m very bubbly and the type to bring snacks, and I constantly love spam or dote on my friends. I tend to go out of my way to cheer people up, doing anything and everything I can for them. I probably am a bit eccentric and extra lol, I just love supporting and gifting stuff to people. I absolutely love to tease my friends, this goes into my love for seeing people’s reactions. Often times I can be a bit too excited to be around them or mess with them though. It also makes me ramble a lot. They also are a bit worried because I can be a bit oblivious sometimes, lacking in life smarts and also being a platonic flirt who can never notice when people like me. I’m a bit clumsy too, and very dorky. I’m known as the token nerd because I am very very sweet and smart, I honestly am the biggest nerd I know as I love all subjects in school, especially Calculus and Literature. I get very excited when it comes to learning new topics or finishing my work. I also write, like a bunch. Poetry, short stories, essays, news articles, you name it! I’m also a journalist and take honesty and trust very seriously, and I inspire to be the things I admire in my friends. I’m also very cuddly, like extremely cuddly. Especially with my best friends or crush! Oh, and I am a wlw and a huge simp for my crushes.

I have a lot of interests, so much so that it’s hard to say what my favorite is! Besides writing, I love to draw and listen to music, game with my friends, play sports, dance, and do research. I am comfortable with myself and goals for my future, knowing I want to go into either the engineering field or the communications field. There is just so much I want to know and do, and I am very competitive so I always try my best. I also love doing sports like football, soccer, hockey and swimming, but at the same time I would take pizza, doughnuts, and dancing to some edgy music any day over it lol. My music taste ranges from musicals to what gives me gay vibes to a more sad vibe like Jeremy Zucker to even edgy with Set it off and Get Scared.

I also tend to overthink or really regret stuff, like a lot, and I have major anxiety that sometimes affects my health. But I move on both thanks to being open with my friends and to protect my friends. They are very important to me and I will do anything for them. I’m also a huge extrovert, the only one in my friend group actually, so I tend to help out with a bunch of stuff already!

Ibuki Mioda

Firstly I thought of Ibuki Mioda, Ibuki is very up beat and has so much energy in which she can be sorta chaotic as well. She's also pretty confident with speaking and doesn't really think through it before she does even if it may be inappropriate. She seems to be pretty confident and hyper as well. I think Ibuki would be the type of person to make animal noises and say "nom nom" due to her saying "good nom nom nomming". She's pretty bubbly and would definitely be engaged with her friends and making sure they're doing alright and taking care of themselves. She also would probably show a lot of love and affection. She tends to forget things quite easily which could play into her possibly being more oblivious. Due to her passion for music she might have some sort of interest in writing, mainly for lyrics though. She's also definitely more extroverted, possibly focusing on other people and things to forget her own problems.

Kazuichi Souda

Secondly I thought of Kazuichi Souda, Kazuichi can tend to be a little more hyper and or chaotic. He doesn't seem to have a filter for what he says sometimes and doesn't seem to be embarrassed by it easily. He does seem to care about people due to helping Akane when Nekomaru died by giving her a mechanical doll of him. He tends to be slightly more flirty and cling onto people he likes like he seems to do with Sonia in the game. Kazuichi is also a mechanic, due to you thinking about going into the engineering field I feel like this fits in. He also seems to get frightened pretty easily.

Ryota Minitari

Lastly I thought of Ryota Minitari, Ryota is a little more on the shy side though he can know what to say and when. Especially if it ends up helping someone out. You could say he's a mom-type friend in some way due to feeling the desire to help people out. He's also against violence and doesn't care for conflicting much either. I think he'd overthink about a lot of things, especially if he does something he regrets. He's also pretty anxious as well.

Gin Ibushi

Firstly I thought of Gin Ibushi, Gin is definitely full of energy and overly friendly as well. He's also pretty gullible if you ask me and would rather choose to avoid conflicts. He can also tend to be more hyper. Like you saying "rawr" Gin tends to say "meow" or "woof" quite a lot which cloud also tie into you making animal noises. He also likes to try and cheer people up if he can and be more cuddly or clingy to people he's grown to trust.

Joe Tazuna

Secondly I thought of Joe Tazuna, Joe definently more upbeat and as a considerable amount of energy. He's also quite loyal and would do just about anything for his friends. He likes to try and make sure they're doing alright and taking care of themselves. It's also not awfully hard for him to sympathize with people. He also tends to say things or joke around at the wrong time.

Reko Yabusame

Lastly I thought of Reko Yabusame, Reko is pretty friendly to others for the most part she also takes on the more "motherly" role to those she cares about. She'll do what she can to help her friends when they need it. She's also really into music.

Denki Kaminari

Firstly I thought of Denki Kaminari, Denki is usually pretty energetic and isn't afraid to joke around with others at all. Though he may go a little too far sometimes. He's also pretty friendly as well. It could also be possible Denki may have adhd and he also has anxiety I'm pretty sure. He also may not be the smartest sometimes, but he can know what to say and how to help others when they need it and will definitely try his best to help those in need. He also seems to know a bit about music, art, and literature.

Mina Ashido

Secondly I thought of Mina Ashido, Mina definitely has a lot of energy and is pretty outgoing and bubbly, she's also pretty friendly. She also seems to like dancing pretty well. Mina tries her best to help others, especially her friends.

Momo Yaoyorozu

Lastly I thought of Momo Yaoyorozu, Momo is usually pretty friendly. She could also probably be seen as the mom friend of the group due to helping them quite a lot. Like when she helps some of the other students study. Along with this she's pretty smart academically. When normally she can be seen as somewhat confident she can also be pretty doubtful in herself and tends to focus on past things a lot.
