its funny this bootleg is of one of the fusion lab fusions,,, like the people making this kinda did a bit of research considering fourmutt/wildarms/whateveryouwannacallit doesnt even exist in the show

So I saw that former WildARMs and Shadow Hearts devs are trying to get spiritual successors backed on Kickstarter—together.  You can find it here. I’m kinda boggled that they’re doing it together (which also ends up setting a higher goal value, versus if separate, at least ONE of them might get funded).  The two series and the successors presented on this page both appeal to two very different types of audiences: yes, they’re both jRPGs but, as someone who is a fan of both and has played all installments, they are two different beasts.

Even comments I’ve seen say that people are interested in one game over the other. Few are saying both.

As for me, I won’t be backing.  I have backed a few things on KS, including Bloodstained, I just... hm.

I would be interested in Penny Blood if it gets released; I loved Koudelka/Shadow Hearts and while From the New World was... not that great, overall the theme, atmosphere, and feel of the SH series are different and appealing compared to typical jRPG fare.  If this was funded on its own, I’d probably be more inclined to back it.

I loved the first WildARMs but each sequel just felt more and more removed of what made the first game charming, especially as they kept trying to make the battle system “unique,” with 5 just being flat out terrible in story and gameplay. I can’t say this Armed Fantasia looks appealing either and gives me vibes it’d be more of the same as what the post-3 WAs have been.  If the game came out, I might give it a shot, but I’d still prioritize Penny Blood.

Overall I am fairly wary of spiritual successors via KS; most don’t really have a great track record of being good games or being games that even properly captured what they’re trying to capture in the first place. I do wish them the best of luck and success cause these are definitely two underappreciated series, especially SH, and I wouldn’t mind seeing them able to continue on, but let’s just say I’m pretty cautious.

I have not played XV before so other than some summary of the game was like I have no context of Notics' personality or which part of his game he's from.

Went in as NIN since Lvl 50 and SMN is still in the mid 40s

XIV needs more campfire scenes. Can't remember if VI had them or was it Breath of Fire series (or even Wildarms or Secret of Mana) that had Camping scenes during camping out save breaks (tents)

Alhazad comforting Talathia and murmuring sweet nothings as she sleeps. I mean, the phrase coming from nearly anyone else would be absolutely horrifying. Wild Arms 5 is a game I slept on when it first released, but when I first played it back in 2014 I fell in love. I was really impressed how good the graphics were for being a PS2 game.
