I’m so weddinged-out. I’ve always been a funeral girl (my family is generally older so 🤷🏻♀️) I hadn’t been to a wedding until I was 17 and then the next one when I was 22. Now I’ve been to 6 weddings in two years. I’m tapped out physically, emotionally, and mostly financially. I think there will be at least 2 more in the next two years too 🙃 Also I’ve been to about…idk 6000 baby showers. I cannot afford to have friends 🤣

Has held a friendsgiving before, loves any moment where she can host gatherings or attend them! either is quite fine. She loves being around people
the only time she likes to look back on the past is to see how she and her family carried themselves then and how the evolved into who they are now, it’s interesting to see

Don’t get it twisted, she still went to those too & had her fun but definitely felt like it was the same routine and nothing ever felt fulfilling at these functions after awhile
Well known with all the cliques around school but had her own group of friends that fit into many of those cliques but she never felt obligated to stick to one social group. If you were nice and cool with her, she was the same to you, if you weren’t? Depending on her mood, she’d ignore you/say things under her breath or be “fake nice” as a form of being the bigger person
Has a curly hair routine that she consistently follows (after struggling to find the right products to make them flourish) and gets annoyed with if her curls don’t turn out the way she knows they can, it’s always frustrating when things don’t turn out the way you want them to but isn’t afraid to at least try

All those stressful all-nighters will be worth it. She mostly did it on her own but is nothing but humble and Is thankful to those that have helped her along the way, what kind of person would she be if she didn’t mention them?
and when COVID hit, she was one of many already on the frontlines. Her studies became altered but this wouldn’t stop her for her mission on this earth, this was her purpose and she knew we would conquer it all—but definitely has empathy and gets angry with how it’s being handled from time to time
She’s been exposed to it first hand which aboustely worries her parents, seb, her friends, and friends from the villa
Keeps up to date when all medical news, has a whole app dedicated to health
Learning French with some of her free time and is doing well at it

They’ve hung out a few times on a double dates before the boat vacation & once just as girls before vieve left to Australia
Vieve is always offering advice but knows that every relationship is different and what works for her and seb won’t work for elladine and Nicky, she loves them together and knows everyone has bumps in the road
feels there’s some sort of tension between her and Harry now? Which she found a little off putting since they were supposed to be friends but she realizes that Harry has a condition but it’s also not an excuse for him to treat her shitty sometimes which he does and feels like it comes out of nowhere most times but he always apologizes yet vieve is slowly getting tired of this unhealthy habits

the Jellicles have been highly ranked in the top 15 for the past 60 years or so, as Deut’s leadership has gotten stranger. whereas they’ve been solidly in the top 3 - 6 for decades, they’ve been lingering around 9 - 12 and have even dipped to 14 since Macavity’s exile. this does have many repercussions.
tribal territory varies. the Jellicle Junkyard is considered one of the more medium-sized types.
tribal territory are essentially towns, or even cities if they’re large enough. the tribe that occupies Central Park is one of the smaller tribes, of course, but have a damningly incredible location. that tribe also hosts a guard that’s nearly unmatched. they also offer training there and a market that’s very, very highly sought. they are known for their rugs, woven items like bags/baskets and even clothes
CLOTHES ARE UNCOMMON, AS A WHOLE, THOUGH THERE ARE A FEW TRIBES THAT HAVE TAKEN TO FULL OUTFITS
IT’S CONSIDERED VERY STRANGE TO EVEN HAVE ACCESSORIES, AND TRIBES WITH FULL WARDROBES TEND TO “DRESS DOWN” IN MAJOR SOCIETY
GROOMING TO SHORT HAIR OR EVEN SHAVING IS WHAT IS DONE WITH THE SICK
TUGGER HAVING GROOMED HIMSELF TO A MANE AND SHORT HAIR AND WEARING ACCESSORIES IS SHOCKING, ESPECIALLY SINCE HE WAS A FULL LONG HAIR AND HE’S CHOSEN TO MESH BOTH LONG AND SHORT
(this was a ballsy idea and when he did it, Deut raised hell about it. Tugger very well could have destroyed the Jellicles’ social standing even more, and there was a huge uproar and the Jellicles were embarrassed. however, Tugger has proved himself - since this grooming was so revolutionary and rebellious that they expected him to be like Macavity in the way of a turncoat. it even affected his ambassador duties, since some tribes turned him away, refusing to have him amongst their people like that.
Tugger’s storytelling/bard abilities are highly valued in this society (and such talent is valuable elsewhere, too; the ? Festival in which he goes to compete against other storytellers across the country is two weeks long. it’s extremely competitive and even semi-finalists are treated with high honors. he made wild waves showing up to the Festival looking like that, as grooming is a mixed bag in other societies.
either way, his placing second that year was HUGE in his representing the Jellicles and the NY/NJ societies so that really softened opinions (but didn’t stop grumbling). he was invited back to tribes that had turned him away and the Jellicles’s ranking was saved - and improved.
however, his enormous steel balls are influencing society more and more, not just locally but across the country, since the Festival is bi-annual, and storytellers are the highest level of celebrity, considered extremely valuable and even revered. not many are bards as well as storytellers, and Tugger being both, as well as placing #1 at the Festival three years running, is doing stupid amounts of good for the society he’s a part of.
that should have been keeping the Jellicles high in their ranking in itself, but Deut and Macavity’s exile/leadership of the Syndicate/Outliers Clan is doing continuous damage.)
TRIBES ARE LARGELY GENERATIONAL, HOWEVER WILL WELCOME POTENTIAL TRIBAL MEMBERS FROM OTHER TRIBES (WITH RULES/LIMITATIONS) AND TEMPORARY MEMBERSHIP FOR TRAVELERS (LIKE A VISA) OR HOSPITALITY (LIKE A HOTEL)
(the Outliers Clan is only one piece of many under the Syndicate ofc, and his leadership of the Syndicate actually spans past NY/NJ, and this is an enormous deal, as the Outliers are growing in numbers and territory and this naturally makes A Lot Of People Mad).

Skimbleshanks is called the Railway Cat because he’s pretty much always on the railways as an electrician/engineer. he’s helping build and improve a facility in hopes of better transportation/making trains work again. he is a HIGHLY VALUABLE member of the Jellicles and society (across the entire country) and is a part of a coalition/guild for engineers/electricians/etc that are working to improve cross-country as well as local transportation and electrical advances.

Since I think I might finally have some more time, I’d love to start some new plots under the cut are a few I really want rn, but I’m always open to plotting something else out. If you like anything, just hum or hit the heart!

can someone pls give me a ‘you left 3 yrs ago in the middle of the night with not even a goodbye letter and now you’re on my door step w a kid that looks exactly like me’ plot pls
I really want to do a 1x1 where Muse A and Muse B, met at a bar one night and ended up having a deep conversation that culminated in a make-out session. Muse A promised to call Muse B, but never did and Muse B didn’t have Muse A’s phone number. A couple of months passed with Muse B thinking about their night with Muse A - not being able to find that connection with someone else. Then Muse B finally meets Muse A again, only to find Muse A is dating their best friend. Despite both parties trying to push aside their feelings after meeting again, things get complicated. (They could either decide to keep things friendly or it would lead to a relationship, depending on how the rp goes).

A plot based on cutting edge
consider this: classic “one of the boys” girl who hangs out with the frat bros accidentally falling in love with an elle woods-esque sorority girl that she meets at a party??? muse a comes from a family w like a million older brothers so ofc she makes a beeline for the frats when she gets to college bc she feels most comfortable around boys. the only thing is, she dreads their mixers with the sorority girls bc she hates the “prissy glitter bitches” and wants to vomit whenever she sees lilly pulitzer lmao. so when muse b comes up to her at one of these mixers and introduces herself, muse a is like lol ok w/e. but to her surprise, muse b is actually like…. interesting and smart and yes definitely ridiculous but she’s still shocked that she actually has a personality. and when muse b keeps seeking her out at the mixers, muse a suddenly finds herself more and more flustered as she realizes that she has a GIANT ASS CRUSH on this girl. honestly pls just give me cute college girls in love with frat bros cheering for them in a non-gross manner
give me a couple that met through youtube ( maybe one of them mentioned the other on their channel, through mutual friends, at an event/meet-up ? how they actually connected is up to you ! oh – and they could have polar opposite channels or similar channels ! ) who started off as friends doing trendy collab videos, but everyone fell in love with their dynamic and pointed out how natural their chemistry was or how one looked at the other and vice versa ––- the little things ! what the viewers didn’t know was that muse a was crushing hard on muse b and muse b was crushing equally hard on muse a, but obviously neither one of them were going to risk ruining their great friendship. soon enough, the two spilled their woes and became an item, however they kept it a secret for a few months. finally, after much debate they decided to go public and their subscribers went wild some saying ‘they knew all along’ or ‘they’re so happy’ while others said it ’wouldn’t last’ or ‘they’re doing it for the views’. fast forward to a few years later: now they’re living together in ( california, england, anywhere ! ), documenting their daily shenanigans for their shared vlogging channel, attending events, and keeping their separate channels fresh and exciting with occasional or frequent collabs !
13 going on 30 plot where they were really close when they were younger, and then they both went there separate ways. and then they meet up later on, and they just start spending a lot of time together and start becoming best friends and then they slowly start to fall in love with each other (✿◠‿◠) liKE PLEASE I NEED THIS!!
wild child: muse a is sent to a horrific private boarding school. no phone, no laptop. it’s like being back in the 17th century. muse a is a wild child, always has been, and they refused to be disciplined. they need a way out of this school and fast- and no better solution comes then muse b.. the principals child that comes to visit on weekends and is loved by all, and extremely good looking. the plan is easy, get muse b’s attention, make them fall for muse a and get caught by the principal and get out of this school. but then those pesky real feelings start to get in the way, and what started as a way to leave, has started to turn into a reason to stay.
the duff: muse a has never been conventionally attractive, and that has never bothered them before. until one day at a party when muse b asks muse a where their friends are. when muse a states it’s not their job to disclose information on their friends, muse b calls them something they’ll never forget. duff. designated. ugly. fat. friend. a mean word, sure, but then slowly… muse a starts to see it. their friends are incredible, good looking, everybody knows them. and muse a is a no one. forced to be paired together in a school assignment together, muse a can’t stand muse b and their cocky, arrogant attitude. muse b continues to call muse a ‘duffy’, thinking it’s funny and gets on their nerves. in a moment of blind anger- muse a finds themselves slamming muse b into a wall. and then proceeding to angrily make out with them. kissing turns into removal of clothes, and before they know it muse a and muse b have slept together. muse a swears it will never happen again, and muse b loves taunting muse a. but they just tick each other off in the wrong way, and end up having angry, hot, rushed sex more and more. it’s just physical anger relief for muse a, but muse b starts to genuinely fall for muse a. when they reveal it though- muse a blows up and demands to know why anybody would want to be with the duff, let alone muse b. suddenly, muse b realises the nickname was more then just a joke and a way to get under muse a’s skin and that they’ve really truly hurt the one person they love.
muse a and muse b had lived in the same town their entire lives. on the first day of kindergarten, they sat across from each other on the bus and muse b offered muse a one of his animal crackers. from then on, they were attached at the hip. they remained inseparable through elementary school, and by the time middle school came around, muse a found puberty working in her favor. muse a was outgoing, funny, and beautiful, and everyone wanted to be her friend. muse b, on the other hand, was awkward and shy, and the only attention he got was negative. despite their differences, muse a and muse b remained close friends, and muse a often found herself having to defend muse b against the bullying. in the middle of 8th grade, muse b disappeared from school and moved halfway across the country with his family. muse a tried to stay in touch, but it seemed like every time she reached out to him, she was brushed off. eventually the two lost connection and moved on.fast forward to high school. muse a finds herself caught up in the wrong crowd, and after a string of pregnancy rumors, she loses most of her close friends and becomes virtually invisible. muse a pours herself into her love of poetry and writing to try and entertain her loneliness. that is, until she walks into school to find an extremely attractive boy leaned up against her locker. muse b is back, and despite all of his new found attention from girls, he only has eyes for muse a.

Muse A just had their heart broken and decided to shy away from relationships, so their friends dragged them out for a night to get them out of the house. Enter muse B. Someone who spends the night flirting with muse A, but gets nowhere. Muse B gives muse A their number, saying if they change their mind to call. Muse A, after some prompting from friends, calls muse B and they go out on a date – one they both enjoy. But just as muse A comes around to the idea of a new relationship, muse B finds out that muse A’s ex, is muse B’s sibling.
Muse A and muse B had the perfect marriage. They were happy, just bought their first house and had a baby. Until muse B tragically died – or at least that’s what muse A thought. Muse B had witnessed a crime, and had to be put in witness protection. Not wanting to risk the life of muse A and their child, muse B let them believe that they were dead. When the trial is finally over with, and the threat is locked away, muse B is left to go back to their old life but has no idea how to tell muse A about what happened.
Muse A is seen as the town’s rebel and isn’t exactly well known for following the rules. Muse B is the new principle’s child, and wanting to get back at their parent for moving them without asking, muse B decides they want to date muse A. It’s just unfortunate timing, since muse A decided to try and clean up their act - something muse B is determined not to let happen.

summer camp counselors: between the ages of 18 ad 21, volunteers from colleges around the country (BONUS: around the entire world) flock here to guide children through the summer of their lives, coincidentally also making this the best summer of their own lives.
co-ed college dorms: Simply a group of students living in one building, trying to get along and figure themselves out in the process.
tour: There’s a band on the rise to fame and they’ve brought along two opening acts and entire crew that helps make the entire process that much smoother. Heads will clash, too many personalities together for too many months on end.
sleepy beach town: Every summer there are quite a few families that spend their summers unwinding in a town far from home. There are families that have become quite close due to the three months spent out of every month in this small town. There are also those families that are spending their first year here. This could test friendships and even relationships that have already developed.
kids of famous people: over the years, it’s been no secret that the celebrities we’ve known to love and care for from afar have grown to have families of their own. Now, it’s their children’s turn to make something of their lives. Do they follow in their parents footsteps or do they do something entirely different? Are they snotty self absorbed or do they give back every chance they get? There are millions of possibilities.
apartment complex: A bunch of diverse people all living in one building together. There’s this small family type bond between them but they still aren’t afraid to start crap when it’s necessary. At the end of the day, they will always have each others back when it’s needed
gossip girl: it’s been 25 years since Dam Humphry came out as Gossip Girl. There have been plenty of fakes trying to capture the things he’d been able to for all those years but no one could ever live up to the greatness that was the true Gossip Girl. Until now. There’s a new gossip site online that’s got their eye on everything happening around the New York elite. Rumors spread that Dan’s back in the game after all these years but there’s someone greater wreaking havoc on these young adults lives. (Could be the kids of the former group and their friends or an entirely different crew of elite)

Hi! Hi! I have a bit of a history challenge question/request for advice? :) I'm wondering if you have any ideas rn of how you're going to dress your sims for the colonial/western era (thats the era im on, for me theyre just one era together though)? Idk the difference between colonial/western clothes and industrial clothes? Any advice? Appreciated even if not! :)

At this point, I'm honestly not too fussed about getting cc together for gen6 + gen7 bc I literally just realized that I accidentally deleted most (if not all) the cc I had downloaded for gen5.....I take file folders of cc out of my mods folder periodically to free up space in my game for other saves....rip. I'm currently just going thru the motions of not wanting to redownload everything.....while also losing all desire to open the game at all!! Lol!!

When I think colonial, I think puritanical New England/Quakers, with their bonnets, heavy shift dresses, boots and a penchant for detestable behavior! Tricornes and waistcoats also seemed to be very popular among men.
It's a bit hard to find cc for any gen that is set in colonial America, bc these restrictive fashions were defined by LOTS of layers! Petticoats, aprons, and lots of chest coverage (bc god forbid anyone knew u had collarbones, u filthy harlot!!) Lots of historical cc, while gorgeous (I love you cc creators thank u for blessing me w/ur creations) favor rococo/southern belle-esque aesthetics (obviously, bc they're much more aesthetically pleasing than layers of gravy-colored fabric)
!! Which u can kind of get away with bc these styles actually WERE seen and worn in colonial America
Really, what it boiled down to was where you lived and how much money you had. (And mostly, who your dad was.) If you have, say, a wealthy family (of garbage people), their daughter might be bedecked in gorgeous frocks and day-dresses like those seen above. If you have a poorer family (of different, but ultimately probably still garbage people), you'd probably wear dull colored dresses and drooping bonnets (and hope that a bunch of your peers wouldn't rat u out to the nearest church as a witch to get some sweet sweet validation and attention in general)
@historicalsimslife, @javitrulovesims, @budgie2budgie have some beautiful pieces that I think you could definitely work into semi-colonial looks!

When it comes to western cc, there's sadly not a TON of strictly cowboy-driven creators out there! There are some, don't get me wrong! If you go through sssvitlans 'western' tag, there's some real winners that I downloaded without a second thought!!
Before I get into some of my inspo for cc hunting, please know that a lot of our perception of cowboys/the wild west comes from Hollywood and spaghetti westerns! And even though young Clint Eastwood is an entire snack and a half
he is NOT what most cowpokes looked like (not gonna get into how many cowboys were decidedly not white or straight but for the record, most of them were neither white nor straight lol)
Here's some Looks that I'm all about and that I used as CC-hunting inspo
Think neckerchief's, leather, vests, and trousers. Oh, and suits. Clothes in the Wild West were not mass-produced---if you needed new duds you had to make your way to a tailor. That's why you might see historical photography/films show their cowboys in suit coats/vests/dress pants....it wasn't for the fashion! It was because they were buying everything second-hand! The fancier the clothes, the harder to sell (if your main source of consumers is a bunch of guys who work long hot days out in the desert)....thus, the resell prices were cheaper
As for women! If she's out in the West, she's going for comfort and the basics---I mean, as much as she can with the restrictive fashions and general cultural/gendered norms of the day
Think muted colors, long skirts, belts, buttoned or high-necked blouses! There can be some overlap here with early Victorian looks, but keep it simple!
As for the industrial age, I honestly just consider that gen of the HC to be ripe for overlapping all the beautiful Victorian/Edwardian CC that the likes of @historicalsimslife and @retro-pixels have blessed us with! Corseted gowns, high necklines and beautiful hats!
I mainly look for inspo in the films I watch and the books/articles I read! Pinterest is a great tool to inspire some creative thought when it comes to CC-hunting. You might find the perfect blouse/trousers in a completely modern CC post. It just takes a little bit of a journey!
If u want like....a Wild West inspired CC lookbook....I could do that! I've actually been considering it for a bit lol

Oh I learned French too in highschool! It was honestly COMPLETELY USELESS BAHAH like now I just remember the names of certain fruits lol and I can understand how difficult it may be to see your students struggling so it’s can kind of difficult to not correlate that with how “good” of a teacher you are. Especially since you just want them to be successful in general and see them flourish! But I’m sure you’re not horrible! The fact that you are actively TRYING and not blaming the student is already more than enough! That in itself is already so helpful and yeah it will be difficult learning no matter the language it’s in but I’m sure you’re a great support system for all your students!!!
And those sound like such good books! And omg I didn’t know you were like into WWII themed stories!?! That’s so cute and honestly I see the vision! I went through a phase where I was obsessed with the 1920s, I know it’s not the same but I get it! And you should totally write something like that one day with Harry! You would obviously SLAY THAT SHIT!!!

I was also obsessed with the 1920s! If I could go back to school, I think history would be up there. I'm fascinated by it. I feel like everyone goes through a 1920s phase--like a right of passage.
One my first stories to break 100 notes on here, actually (it's on the garbage section of my blog so I wouldn't recommend reading it) was my "first big break." It was set in the 1920s. But at the time it was like super exciting and important to me. I think I reread it not too long ago and I think it's cute still, but very cringy. You can tell I wrote it when I was without a lot of real world and/or relationship experience and only read Sarah Dessen in my free time. I would love to do it over though. I have a mob/1920s vibe sort of story on my list of things to write in the future. So we'll see! 😊
I used to devour books. Then in high school/college the perfectionist in me just stopped and deemed the time too important to be reading for fun when I had scholarships to apply for and a degree to earn. I've got like 40 unread books on my shelf staring at me daily. But like I mentioned, I got back into the swing of things this year so hopefully I can narrow it further over the coming months. I would get married in a Barnes and Noble probably--it's one of my top 5 favorite stores and I would say my toxic trait is I can't leave without buying a book. I'm sure you'll get back to reading when you have the time. School is important and your brain only has so much time to handle everything.
I love it out East here. tbh, I don't think I could ever live anywhere else. I'm not sure if you saw my playlist thing (I wouldn't expect you to notice it) but I'm on a Noah Kahan kick rn. Several of his songs are about growing up in New England and it's like nostalgic even though I live here. Idk, it's like someone read my mind and put it in a song. It's magical.
That brain cell of ours working overtime being the mom of our friend groups. I remember in college it felt like a second job keeping everyone on track and I agree, I couldn't even help it! They were adults but it didn't feel like they were adults.
