Finally someone who loves wicked science and tobeth as much as I do, if only there was a 3th season...one more season was all elizabeth needed to get toby to love her back, he already felt attracted to her at the end of season 2.

ABSOLUTELY

Forget season 2 -- even in season 1 we already see hints that Toby is attracted to her. I'm talking about that scene in which they are meeting at the gym by night and Elizabeth dresses as if this is prom night (honestly, what a queen). He is trying to lure her into a trap, sure, but her proximity always made Toby flustered. If it wasn't for her crazy side, Toby would have go for it a long time ago, and I do think he will in college, after she has time to work on most of issues.

And honestly, EVEN the crazy side seen to have a strange pull on Toby. She embraces the genius potential to the fulliest in a way Toby finds dangerous, but exciting. If Elizabeth was a song, she would be The Pussycat Dolls - Don't Cha.

The biggest revelation of today’s evening is finding out that a ton of child/young adult series I watched as a kid are either from Australia or New Zealand. But because I watched them in the German dub version, they were made sort of ‘geographically nonspecific’, unless the place was relevant for the plot. Like rewatching H2O now has me in hysterics over the Aussie accents. What fun I missed out on!!!

was bored and did this ya books tier ranker … this is like the only ranked like this I’ve seen include individual books from series rather than just the first idk if I like that more or less

#in some cases it Is useful because I like the wicked king significantly more than the cruel prince for instance. in others it was a bit #confusing. did my best #the top row being trc tid and dosab makes so much sense.#I did try to go left to right in terms of favorite to least favorite in each row but it’s not an exact science #but for instance I def like the lunar chronicles way more than fangirl and they’re both in enjoyable but on different sides #there are also some books I read in high school or younger where I’m kind of dubious where they would rank now. we are okay for instance I #did like when I read it but didn’t have strong emotions vs I feel like if I read it now I’d connect to the subject matter a lot more #and then like fangirl would be the opposite I related to it in 8th grade but if I reread I think it might not hit #I also was mostly guessing about the tmi rankings I’d need to reread to be sure. but ik books 3 and 6 are the ones I liked best so they go #to enjoyable at least #did put all the Mara Dyer books in tier 2 because I just remember them making me so crazy. that should be my next paranormal reread fix nex #time I’m in the mood.#s speaks #s does things

Science Mini 5: Psychology: Bonus Customization Edition

As soon as I decided to include a self-portrait, I knew I wanted people to be able to customize it-- and easily, too, without having to find their own colors and draw their portrait from scratch. So I made a set of 9 different looks, including options for facial hair and accessories, and test-stitched them to make sure the thread colors looked nice.

There's three skin tones and four hair colors included, and the Etsy download includes digital mockups of every hair/skin combination, too, along with a couple printable templates for anyone who wants to design something original. :)

Many thanks to @lpanne for helping proofread the pattern for this! I've never made a customization guide before, and it was invaluable to have a second set of eyes on everything.

I love science. But also, I can clearly see how it is the western man’s explanation of explicit indigenous knowledge. ESPECIALLY in agriculture and food systems. Isn’t it quite interesting to think about how regenerative agriculture was THE way of living. We’ve strewn so far from this form of food production that now rich white women with masters degrees and inherited land get to teach others “regenerative agriculture” for profit. It irritates me that our culture (mostly white culture) needs the chemical, biological, physical, scientific proof that something works when oral traditions have been tried and true on this continent for 10,000 years. Is the scientific method a means of distraction so big ag, big pharma, big oil, and big chem can make a profit?

Are we here to wrestle with the meaning of humanity and love? Yes, of course we are. In my biased opinion, there is nothing better.

I want a forbidden love that is legitimately forbidden because if they fall in love an ancient magic rains hell upon the earth. Marriages of convenience simply work better when the two diverging kingdoms may destroy each other (with magic or robots) if your wedding doesn’t happen. Give me the introduction scene normal people receive when they learn about all the things that go bump in the night. I need all your secret societies that are actually vampires or werewolves or whatever else you want to throw at me.

I am a bit of a queer SFF romance fanatic. In general, if it has a romance with a ghost, reaper, werewolf, witch, robot, or spaceship, I want to read it. I love it all. Theoretically, I can read the same set of tropes and premises over and over, and I am not sure I will ever tire. I haven’t yet, and trust me when I say I could name 20 books about vampires and vampire hunters falling in love right now without breaking a sweat.“
