So I’ve been recently getting into Dp x Dc so I wanted to add my own little thing I guess.

So it’s basically just.

Dear Nezu, I do believe something is wrong with two of my teachers one fake being a stutterer and I heard him talking alone only for a voice to respond to him, also my potion teacher is hating me but I don't know why ??

After a few letters 1A and Nezu are ready to storm a castle. No one messes with their little brother not even the dark wizard

To be entirely fair they would probably get to the troll incident before nearly two dozen foreign heroes descended upon Hogwarts to pull Harry out and more than likely get the damn place shut down as the hazard it is… if Harry told them of course… or if his letters actually arrived to them. Japan is a very long way away and these things do get… lost from time to time.

… Particularly when Harry is such a well known public figure saying things that would absolutely get him taken from Hogwarts.

The thing about Saint Seiya (at least the anime & original Manga, haven't checked out much of the rest) is that it has a nice diversity for character designs, which means everyone is easy to recognize

But then you go look for heights because you wanna be aware of people's relative sizes in fics and the info is out there anyway, and you realize that either those orphans were specifically bred for size or cosmos just naturally makes you tall x)

Something about the way Michael said “slinky hips” and the way David laughed at it made me think, what if it’s an inside joke? The host says “lovely outfit” before Micheal tacks on “and his slinky hips” and gives David what I can only call a knowing look, which makes him laugh even harder.

Perhaps I might as well be wearing a rainbow wig and big red nose but, please please please let there be a scene in GO2 where Crowley’s slinky hips get mentioned by or in front of Aziraphale.

neo twewy is interesting because the climax of the story comes before the end of the gameplay + final boss. in og twewy the climax of the story wasn’t until after the final boss. neither game’s ultimate conflict is about having the physical strength or even courage to defeat a particular enemy. both of them are about the protagonists’ development and crucial character-defining decisions. the final bosses aren’t the story climaxes here- in the first game it was still part of the rising action, and in the second game it was actually already part of the falling action. that’s wild to me

#for a long time i disliked neo’s final battle/ending bc i failed to realize this #it just felt like cleanup to tie up these loose ends #as opposed to some epic battle #and then i realized yeah it is and that’s actually fine! bc the moment of truth is already past!#the first game’s final fight was like boy i am so confused here help??? um???#the second game’s final fight is like you’re old news sucker i’m not afraid of you! take that birdbrain!!#bc the key emotionally impactful moment already happened #but when playing for the first time you might not realize it #which to be fair #the ending of og twewy left me very confused too at first it’s only after replaying the game and getting the secret reports #that everything actually clicks and you start truly feeling things and getting what this is all about #a golden ntwewy replay #the world ends with you #twewy #ntwewy #neo the world ends with you #mine: twewy #subaseka tag

That^ is my highschool band from my freshman year. It was supposed to be our assessment performance, buuuutttt we found out pretty much on that day that we recorded it- the day before assessment- that it was ‘postponed indefinitely’ due to Covid.

So my (old)band director, being the amazing man he is, saw that as ‘okay so let’s hope it is only postponed- but just in case- let’s record it.’ So that day, during our usual class time, we went through our music like a performance.

I think this was maybe the second take of this piece, but I don’t think we did more than three takes on any one piece.

I should probably mention; the piece was Homage- Three Tapestries

We did all three, the big pauses between parts being each movement/‘tapestry’

It’s just something I’m proud of and think sounds fucking AWESOME

But same as Empedocles died far too early to understand DNA and Darwinism, Aristotle died too soon to really understand the nightmare of statistics. And, to be fair, without DNA as evidence that there is some degree of chance in reproduction, Empedocles’s argument cannot hold up. If there was always a chance that offspring would be born a “monster”, then most children would be “monsters.” (I use quotation marks around monster as I, a disabled woman, would be considered a monster in Aristotle’s eyes, and for obvious reasons I object to the use of this term in this sense. But Aristotle, like my grandfather, is far too old to be able to adjust his world view for this.)

Lol it's pretty short. It's a mix of songs I think are nifty and songs that I intend on actually using in the fic (or have already used in the fic.) If you're curious, I'll put explanations for most of the songs under the cut. Spoilers for Wax and Wane (though nothing specific past chapter 16)

And to those that don't know, Wax and Wane is my season 5, (very) canon divergent longfic with a focus on ghost Cole, though I try to give everyone important roles and development and what have you, because you can't explore Cole without exploring his relationship with his loved ones! It's pinned on my blog if you're curious!

Come Little Children - as I said in that other post, this is the Preeminent's theme in my heart. What she sounds like when she talks to her children, the cursed and hurting spirits that reject the hand they were dealt. I put two versions on here because I like the vibes of both.

Soldier - A Cole song (that'll be a few of these) about his struggle, especially in the Cursed Realm.

Human- another Cole theme, though this one is less specific. Just about his general struggle with how being a ghost has been for him.

Keep your Faith & Throw your Mask away - a version with lyrics because I like the vibes. For a future point in the story.

Lost in Hopelessness - look ignore that it's hetaoni that's just how I first found the song. The song for the fight between Cole, Morro, and the other ninja in Underworld

Pathway - the theme of the tomb when the ninja were told there was nothing they could do but grieve.

Twilight Memories - The song for Cole's final message to his friends

Bitter Taste of Truth - a sad melody accompanying Lou receiving the worst possible news.

Don't ever Forget - for next chapter. A song of grief and moving forward despite it.

The next bunch I don't really have specific points for.

Arrival of the Birds and Conturbatio are probably for some other points in act two when the grief hits someone particularly hard. It's hard to just move past what happened to the ninja.

Day of the Departed theme speaks for itself.

Isabella's lullaby - a song sung by someone trapped, forced to make the best of an awful situation

Theme of Laura - a ballad of nostalgia and pain that clings to a time long gone, to something you can no longer have. A song for Cole in the Cursed Realm.

Keep your Faith - no lyrics version cuz I wanna use it at some point

Cole's theme - because obviously this would be here.

Anyway uh, sometimes I add to this but I don't spend that much time on this playlist lol. But it was fun to make. It's fun to find songs to embed in the fic. I have worked really hard on wax and wane, and this is part of how I relax when I still want to think about the fic, I guess? Who knows.
