I've decided the only reason Lloyd, known descendant of dragons, didn't tell this to Egalt, who refuses to train non-dragons, is for the same reason he never mentioned he's the First Spinjitsu Master's grandson. It just never came up. Nobody asked him directly about it. And besides, he's only like, one-fourth dragon, so does it really count? He doesn't look like a dragon, and he has never in his life considered himself a dragon. Mentioning his ancestry to Egalt probably would've just made him look like some hotshot, or make him more annoyed. There's no need to bring up such a silly little fact. He's sure it won't be important later.

the job market truly sucks right now. I'm gonna share my story without doxxing myself in hopes its helpful to you. I got my degree in film making about 20 years ago and have done a lot of free lance work since then, specifically producing reality tv shows so think jersey shore, tlc, etc.
However, as you know in any art/music/tv/creative industry, it's so hard to find consistent work/projects to make a living. When I wasn't finding consistent work, I applied to a state job in the Court system as a clerk and I did that for a number of years. Eventually, I got tired of my court job because it was getting mundane so I left and did reality tv full time. However, I stayed long enough at that court job to qualify for a pension and health insurance so If i wasnt finding work at least I know I have my benefits from my old job.
a few years ago, I left reality tv and went back to doing a state job, this time at CPS. i like CPS because I get to apply what I learned in the film industry at CPS too. with reality tv I interview the stars and with CPS im interviewing people to get information I need. Now, because I have already worked for the state for a certain # of years, i am now vested so my salary is higher then most people starting at CPS. I would still need to do a certain amount of years at CPS before I retire but it wont be the typical 20-25 yrs like most jobs. This would be because I'm already vested in the system here then I can retire.
My point is, apply to state jobs you think your degree is qualified for. You may end up doing something completely then what you went to school for but at least you will have security. and that to me at least is the most important thing a job can offer you.
ik my reply to this is really late but thank u so much anon, this is rly kind of u to go out of ur way to say and it means a lot. i couldn't have predicted my industry imploding but i'm definitely giving this a shot, and ik a few ppl that have gone this route and been much happier as a result, so here's to hoping that something goes thru and works out!!!

honestly if I were ever to throw the Suitehearts into any of my Killjoys stuff the dynamic would literally be the stupidest thing in the world. you do not want to have the Four and those guys together in any setting. it's a recipe for disaster. Jet and Benzedrine bitch and bicker like old ladies. telepathic warfare is waged via a complex language of glares and eyebrow movements between everyone in the room. Sandman makes a wholeheartedly joking comment to Ghoul like "I want to study you in a lab" and Kobra Kid gives him a black eye on the spot. Crab and Donnie end up playing hide n seek with the Girl until someone else who isn't aware of the game accidentally dumps a whole dude out of their hiding spot on accident and then gets elbowed for it. everyone hates each other but they're also kind of pals in the way that people who occasionally help each other out but don't see each other outside of that can be. that kind of thing

Slightly nsfw:
The most embarrassing moment in Cyclone's carrier is from back then, when he was like 30 and working for the first time under Ice and developed the biggest fucking crush on him. A morning, after a heavy night of drinking, he answers yes, daddy instead that yes, sir and Ice tries to dissimulate with a I'm not your father kinda of joke but Slider tells it all to Mav and he gets kinda of jealous and vengeful and makes Cyclone pay catching them in the act, in one of the offices, while he calls Ice daddy. It's not really their thing but Mav can get what he wants when he really wants and Cyclone can't watch either of them in the eyes the following week.

Minnie Pearl on Elvis in Hawaii after the 1961 U.S.S. Arizona Benefit Concert
"...and Sunday afternoon, a bunch of us were down on Waikiki Beach, cavorting and kidding and having a big time. We got to talking about how we wished Elvis would come down and be with us, and we turned and looked up at his penthouse, which was facing the ocean. He was standing on the balcony, looking down at us, this solitary figure, lonely looking, watching us have such a good time. He was just getting ready to start making the film, and he literally was a prisoner because of the fans. We sat there on the beach and talked about how it would be--what a price you pay for that sort of fame.”
