In order to work my way around the ten elements that Maochaus' magic system is supposedly based on, I got the silly little people to come up with the idea of "spectre abilities" = abilities that are supernatural, like abnormal strength or enhanced hearing.
It's one of many magic system theories!! Easier to have them speculate on the magic system and create theories that all sound interesting than for me to set down one law, one magic system that everyone has to follow. It's boring like that.
The OC here is Lokita, the personal astrologer of Empress Divina. Astrologers in Maochaus are rare, with powers to see futures, truths, memories... abstract abilities that don’t fit into the element system or other theorized magic systems.

I am never inclined to make fun of tumblr's cheesy attempts to make money and generally support them even if you consider them cringe. Websites need money to operate and tumblr needs to find a way to make money consistently or it will cease to exist. I do not want tumblr to cease to exist, and the most common alternative method of making money is to collect and sell all of our personal data, which I do not want either. Websites that can support themselves via people willing to spend $25 bucks to commit to a bit is a sign of a brighter and more sustainable version of the internet.
#people are so weirdly averse to the idea of tumblr making money lol#like...websites need money to pay for things. your blog costs money to host and operate#the version of the world u want--where everything is perfectly free always but also never takes your data or asks anything of you#does not and cannot exist unless it's run on donations or something#and if tumblr tried to ask for donations you would eat them alive#so let them sell crabs and blue checks. this is the better universe. i promise

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but DONT take conch shells or large snail shells from the ocean!!!!! If you are snorkeling, wading, scuba diving, whatever, LEAVE THE SHELLS! You may think it’s empty. It’s most likely not.
One time I, a marine biologist, found a beautiful conch shell while snorkeling. I had 2 of my professors check that it was empty (2!!!) and guess what? I still woke up the next day to a dead, stinking hermit crab that had tried to claw its way out of my drawstring bag overnight. Hermit crabs are excellent hiders. This animal died needlessly, and what for?? A pretty shell to put on my shelf?
TLDR; DONT take “empty” conch shells from the ocean. They’re not empty.

I am late to the crabs, but here is a review
Dislikes:
The part where I try to pet them and they go ":(" and turn into money bags? The unwanted touch of capitalism destroys crab friends?
Why are they saying "hand"? Why this body part? Why ONLY this body part? Is this what they will eat first of me should I slumber in the Tumblr deep?
