just got a new wrist brace that hurts less than the one from the hospital so thats cool

Soaked. like water kept comin-#-down from it in lil waterfalls. we ended up moving to an apartment on the fifth floor. flash forward thru the moving stuff and some days-#-after everything was done n we lived there. i look under the tatami of the kids room. n what do i see but the glitter from my childhood-#-deciding that it shall not be left alone in a leaky apartment but Shall plague me on the way to my adulthood #i am still impressed n horrified by it. glitter is insane

sometimes i really want to pet my fish but obviously i can't so i sit in front of the tank and stare like a hungry cat or something

#i have owned several different types of fish over the years #the closest i got to 'petting' one was with my betta (he followed my finger around)#and sometimes my hermit crab walked on my hand but my crayfish was very skittish (obviously. it's a crayfish.)#my frogs were too small to hold even for kindergarten me #anyway. currently watching one of my catfish bully the other. don't be mean dude

BORN TOO LATE TO SEE THE SUPERNOVA OF 1054. BORN TOO EARLY TO SEE BETELGEUSE GO SUPERNOVA. BORN JUST IN TIME TO WITNESS THE SPLENDOR OF THE PILLARS OF CREATION !!!

#the pillars of creation isnt like. technically a nebula #its part of the larger eagle nebula #but still. the pillars are like. one of my favorite.... Things....in general #also fun fact apparently the crab nebula is the remnant of the 1054 supernova which drives me insane to think about #like astronomical timescales are so fucking long #but like. sometimes. things happen on short enough time scales that humans can witness it.#like no individual was able to see both the supernova and the crab nebula as it appears now #but like. we as a species have been able to track it #over less than 1000 years too #like sometimes things in astronomy take so fucking long but sometimes they happen so quickly!#and how wonderful is it that it happened during this brief time period that we could actually record it!!!#and now im thinking along those lines with the pilalrs of creation #we have them photographed now and inevitably we will continue to make observations over the next 1000 years #we as a species will get to see in ''real'' (delayed) time their disintegration #and its just. screams. puts my head in my hands #and as like. awe-inspiring that is. it is also kinda sad to think that something as fucking beautiful as the pillars of creation #wont be around in as short of an amount of time as just 1000 years #the ephemeral beauty of nature..... thank god we get to witness it now #brot posts #astro posting

Forever thinking ab the time Scupa walked straight into the saltwater bowl and stayed underwater, unmoving, for like 10 full minutes

Then came out like nothing happened 😭

#he was responsive when i put my hand over the bowl like i was gonna grab him (tucked his eyes down) so i knew he was okay and i googled it #and they can hold their breath for like 20 or so minutes! he was just having a soak!#i was standing there like 😦 for most of the time sgdgdggd bc i didnt know what to do! and he never bathes fully (he dips briefly but never #submerges) and i didnt want to interrupt him bc i knew he was at the very least filling his shell reservoir with water to mositen his #gills but i was sooo scared sgdgdgdg shithead #marquilla #gurkle meanwhile just runs through the bowl one side to the other as fast as possible bc he HATES getting wet so badly but he needs it to #survive sgdgddgg #the party boys #scupa #crabs

he is so picturesque . ah. play time @ the beach .. i love his connection with the ocean. i bet that, even now (as scara) every now and again he longs for a view of a great big ocean that could just swallow him up. the smell of sea salt foam and spray. the cold morning waves rushing over his feet and sinking him into the sand. the white noise of pounding waves.. watching as the water rushes back into the basin of the sea and staring off into nothing… seabirds calling to one another, plunging into the depths and sitting like rubber ducks atop the waves when they finally catch a fish. aghhh he’s lost in thought.. i bet the ocean soothes him.. every little detail..
