Just Sex
Summary: Melissa is hooking up with the chief at the firehouse, so you decide that you can have your own fun.

After the failed relationship and proposal with Gary, Melissa has been going out to bars and staying out late at night. She finds herself in bed with quite a few men and women, and while she’s not thrilled that she’s back to this lifestyle, she’s impressed that she still has what it takes. Getting older did not make it any easier to attract people.
But then one night she sees the fire chief out at the bar, one thing leads to the other, and they’re in a friends with benefits sort of situationship.
Of course, all of this comes out when you’re renewing your CPR training certificate with the Abbott clan, and Barbara has made it quite clear that she’s upset Melissa didn’t tell her of this relationship before.
You had been busy trying to pass your test, but now it’s your partner’s turn to go, and you tune back into the world around you.
“But if I were gonna label it, I would say it’s just sex,” you hear Melissa tell her work wife in a low voice.
You don’t really know what she’s talking about, but you shrug it off. That is, until Janine comes back into the room and asks for the gossip. Barbara of course goes off, claiming that her friend of over fifteen years trusts her no more than a common street stranger. It becomes apparent to you that whatever hookup situation they’re talking about has been going on for a bit of time now. You feel a nasty pit settle in your stomach at that.
That pit only grows when you go out with the crew after the CPR course to celebrate the fact that you all passed. Of course, conversation leads back to Melissa and Jacob both having sexual relations with people from the firehouse.
“Well, I think I blew that one,” Jacob groans as he finishes off his aperol spritz. “But let’s talk about you, Mel Mel.”
“There ain’t nothin’ to talk about,” the redhead waves him off. “It’s just casual sex.”
“Casual sex that’s been going on for how long?” Barbara asks with a raised brow.
Melissa purses her lips as she thinks. “Couple weeks now?”
“A month,” Jacob cuts in. “C’mon, Melissa. When are you just going to admit that you like him?”
“I do not,” she states very clearly. “I just need something to take the edge off for me, and… he does that.”
“How kinky is it?” Ava asks, a smirk on her face.
Jacob opens his mouth, and Melissa very quickly shoves her hand over his mouth. “You say a word, and you’re out on the curb faster than you were out with Zach.”
The man’s eyes widen, and he nods quickly. She pulls her hand away from his mouth, and he breathes a deep sigh in relief.
“I’m not looking for a relationship or nothing… not unless the right person comes along,” the second grade teacher says as she finishes off her beer.
Barb turns to look at her work wife with a curious face. She knows of the little crush that her best friend has on you. Melissa just nods at the kindergarten teacher’s silent question.
But you don’t take it that way, because you have no idea that Melissa has had her eye on you since before she broke it off with Gary. You see it that you have no chance with your favorite coworker at all.
Feeling as though you could burst into tears at any given moment, you quietly excuse yourself from the rest of the outing and head for your apartment.
“What was that?” Melissa furrows a brow and purses her lips as she gazes in the direction that you left.
“I’m sure it was just a long day for her is all,” Janine tries to come up with some sort of logistical reason as to why you would leave early. “I did have a meeting with her before school even started today, so she’s been up for quite some time.”
Everybody seems to accept that reasoning, and they continue on with their night.
The next day, you march yourself into Ava’s office bright and early.
“Girl, what are you doin? I’m tryna get this knot out of my back,” your principal groans as she shuts off her personal back massager.
“I need your help,” you tell her, not even bothering to acknowledge that she isn’t doing her job at all.
“With?” She leans forward just slightly in her chair.
You smile at her. “I know you know a bunch of people… set me up with someone?”
“Oh, girl,” she laughs. “What’s gotten into you? Every other time I’ve asked if you want someone, you decline!”
“Just… thinking I should get myself out there,” you shrug. “You know? If Melissa can do it, so can I.”
Ava’s jaw drops. “So this is about Melissa.”
“What?”
“I knew you had the hots for her!” the principal grins.
“What? Not! I- I just figured, if everyone else can have at it, so can I?”
“Oh, girl,” she laughs in your face. “This ain’t you at all, but I am in full support of it. Give me til the end of the day, and I’ll have someone for you.”
You end up going out with a woman that night that Ava set you with, and you do end up actually liking her… and she’s pretty damn good in bed.
The next morning, you’re practically glowing while you drink your morning coffee in the break room. Julie, the woman that you ended up in bed with last night, is texting you about maybe meeting up again later this week.
And if you weren’t still in love with the redhead that comes in a few seconds later, you would say yes. Instead, you send her a text that says, Maybe. Kinda busy the next couple weeks.
She texts you back a picture… a rather scandalous picture. And you blush when you see it.
“What’s got you all giddy today?” the redhead asks as she leans over. She sees the picture before you can close out of it, and her eyebrows creep up her head.
“Who’s that?”
You shrug. “Just someone Ava set me up with.”
“Ava?” Melissa asks in disbelief. “How long have you been seeing her?”
“Not long,” you tell her. “It’s just sex, really.”
The redhead folds her arms over her chest. “I didn’t think you were like that.”
“I’m not, but I figured I might as well give it a shot,” you say. “Now, I have to head to my room to finish up some of my grading, but I’ll see you later.”
You don’t have any intention to see her later. And you don’t. You pull back from her and her group- although most of them still find their ways to you. It’s mostly just the redheaded second grade teacher that you avoid. And it happens that way for a few more days.
You’re in the break room heating up your lunch when Ava comes in. “Girl! Are you gonna text Julie back or not?”
Melissa makes her way in, and you sigh. “It’s just sex. I’m not looking for a relationship or nothing… not unless the right person comes along,” you unintentionally repeat what the second grade teacher had said out at the bar. The microwave indicates that your food is finished, and you pull it out before heading back down to your classroom for lunch.
You miss the scowl on Melissa’s face, but Ava sure as hell doesn’t.
“Girl, you jealous or something?” the principal leans in with a smirk.
“What would I be jealous of?”
“That someone else is hitting that hot piece of ass,” Ava says like it’s obvious. The second grade teacher rolls her eyes, but Ava continues. “I see the way you look at her. Practically undressing her with your eyes every time she walks into the room.”
Melissa crosses her arms again. “I can’t believe you set her up with someone if you knew I like her.”
“I was hoping it would give you a swift kick in the ass that she was gonna start hoeing it up,” Ava shrugs. “Now admit that you’re jealous before everyone else comes in here.”
“Okay, I’m jealous,” the redhead relents. “But it don’t matter anyway. She isn’t lookin’ for anyone- she just said that.”
“She said, and I quote, ‘I’m not looking for a relationship or nothing… not unless the right person comes along. And girl, you’re that person for her!”
Everyone else starts filing in, and Ava makes it so that she looks impossibly bored, although she is actually quite the opposite. “Okay, I’m leaving this snooze fest.” She heads out, but not before giving Melissa a subtle wink and tap on the wrist. “Get it, girl.”
That day, Melissa sits thoughtfully during her lunch period about what Ava said… maybe she’s right? But she can’t be sure, so after dismissal duty, the fiery second grade teacher heads down to the front office and bursts into the principal’s office.
“Schemmenti,” Ava grins. “You do it yet?”
“I ain’t doin’ nothin’ until I’m positive Y/N has a thing for me too,” Melissa sits down across from the woman. “So tell me what you know.”
Ava spends a long time telling the redhead about the various times she’s caught you checking Melissa and only Melissa out, how you always seem to linger around her during events, how the two of you are almost always partners for things now and how you being around always makes her soft and you absolutely bask in her warmth. She even confesses that you went down to her office to ask her to set you up because of Melissa.
“You convinced yet?” the principal asks after ten minutes.
Melissa bites her lip. “Yeah. Okay.”
“I’d make a move quick though. She said something about potentially seeing Julie today.”
“Isn’t that going to piss off your friend that Y/N might leave her for me?”
“She ain’t my friend,” Ava says as she files her nails. “I made a dating profile for Y/N and picked the first mildly attractive woman I saw.”
“You’re unbelievable sometimes,” the redhead pinches the bridge of her nose.
“Maybe, but ain’t you gonna go get your girl?”
Melissa stands from her chair and thanks the principal before rushing out and down your hallway. She hopes to catch you before you head out for the night. And of course, because you’re a dedicated teacher, you’re still there prepping for tomorrow. She knocks on your doorframe and leans against it.
“Just a sec!” you reply cheerily, not turning around yet. You’re hands deep in soil for the gardening project that your students will be participating in tomorrow.
“I don’t got a second,” Melissa says. You whip around at her voice.
“Hey,” you sigh, all joy in your voice gone.
“Don’t go out with Julie tonight,” the redhead tells you.
“Why wouldn’t I?”
“Because I want you to go out with me instead,” she tells you seriously.
“You’re dating the fire chief,” you deadpan.
“I ain’t dating nobody because the only person I want to date is you,” the redhead admits.
That gets you to drop the dirt that is currently in your hands. “What?”
“I told everyone I was just having casual sex and wasn’t looking for a relationship unless the right person came around because… because the only person I would want to be in a relationship is you, and I didn’t think I had a chance.”
“Melissa, are you an idiot?” You ask her. “I’ve shamelessly flirted with you since you broke it off with Gary and practically thrown myself at you in hopes that you would pick me instead of some random hookup.”
She crosses the room, and she’s kissing you before you even know what’s happening. You instinctively kiss her back, and… wow. When you pull away, you quickly wipe the dirt off of your hands before pulling her in close again.
“Don’t go out with Julie tonight,” she pleads again.
“Don’t go out with the fire chief anymore,” you mumble against her lips.
She nods and mutters, “I already called it off. You cancel on Julie, and meet me at my place?”
You end up at Melissa’s house within the hour, and she wines and dines you. And then you end up in her bed seeing stars. Your legs tremble for what feels like forever before she makes her way back up to you.
“And just so you know,” she husks into your ear. “There ain’t nothin’ casual about this. This ain’t just sex.”

if looks could kill, this fucking guy would be a pile of ash by now.
the teachers' lounge was uncharacteristically quiet. the tv had been muted; nobody cared to watch the morning news. all eyes flickered between you and the new male teacher on one side of the room, and your seething girlfriend on the other.
the redhead was visibly furious from the moment he walked in the door, eyes dragging down your body in your flowery sundress and matching tights.
"happy first day to me," he murmured to himself, thinking nobody would hear it. it took all of melissa's self-control and professionalism not to punch his lights out.
"spring looks good on you, sweetie," he drawled from behind you as you poured coffee from the communal pot into your favorite mug.
the hem of your dress floated up as you spun around to face him, and he licked his lips. you didn't notice it, but melissa did. her hands tightened into fists in her lap.
"thank you," you smiled warmly at the man in an attempt to be polite. he was tall and stocky, probably just a few years older than you. he seemed like the kind of guy who was used to getting whatever he wanted from women—with his handsome yet cocky grin and large arms crossed in front of his chest. "are you new here?"
"yep, and i like what i see already," he threw you a wink and you looked down at the floor. you heard melissa cracking her knuckles in the background. she only did that when she was holding back, either from pouncing on you or swinging at somebody else. "i'm jesse. i'll be teachin' math up on the second floor until ms. summers gets back from maternity leave.
"well, jesse, welcome to abbott," you said sweetly, hoping to escape this conversation and join your girlfriend on the couch. "i'm a first-grade teacher, so i won't be seeing you much. but it's nice to meet y—"
"actually, i was hoping you'd show me around," he cut you off, taking a few steps toward you. "if i get lost in this building, my preteen students will never let me live it down."
"oh, um..."
before you could finish your thought, he leaned in and whispered something in your ear. melissa saw the whole exchange, enraged at this man's audacity to even breathe in your direction. you were her girl. everybody knew that. and it was time for this guy to learn.
but when melissa stood up to confront him, you did something that made her see red: you walked out with him. the other teachers noticed her anger, of course, and tried to calm her down.
"melissa, relax," barbara said, gently pulling on her best friend's hand and guiding her to sit back down. "he's harmless."
"harmless?" melissa repeated indignantly. "barb, he was lookin' at her like he wanted to bend her over the damn table!"
"you look at her like that all the time..." gregory muttered, and melissa raised an eyebrow at him in accusation. he shrugged and averted his gaze.
"i look at her like i love her!" melissa insisted. "and she's my girlfriend. i get to look at her however i want. this jamie—"
"jesse," janine corrected.
"—can't just walk in and start undressin' her with his eyes!"
"if it helps, i can keep an eye on him, make sure he doesn't do anything untoward," jacob offered. "i'm pretty much the big dog on the second floor these days. i can set him straight if it comes to that."
"you couldn't even set yourself straight," melissa fired back, and jacob gave the camera a defeated look. "what, you think i can't handle this myself?"
"well, it's just that... jealousy is a dangerous emotion on you," jacob answered tentatively.
"jealousy? what am i, some kinda teenager? i don't get jealous."
"i don't know, you seemed pretty jealous at pecsa last year when the keynote speaker gave y/n his room number," gregory pointed out.
"he was just annoying."
"you poured your math-a-rita on his white suit jacket," janine chimed in.
"the jabroni shouldn't have worn white to a bar!"
"melissa, i know you're protective of y/n, but she's a grown woman capable of making her own decisions," barbara said, placing a comforting hand over the redhead's clenched fists. "she doesn't seem to have a problem with the man. at some point, you just need to trust her judgment."
"yeah, she and i are going to have a little conversation about her judgment when she gets back."
"whose judgment?" you asked as you strode back into the break room, jesse following close behind.
when your question was met with silence and anxious looks from your friends, jesse took hold of your hand and brought it to his lips.
"thanks for the tour, cutie," he said after pressing a chaste kiss to the back of your hand.
"thank you," you replied, shifting uneasily and look over your shoulder in anticipation of melissa's reaction. she didn't keep you waiting long.
"hey, hon," melissa approached the two of you, then hooked an arm around your waist and pulled you close. "the kids'll be here in half an hour, do you wanna go prep your classroom for the science lab?"
"i did that last night," you replied, not taking the hint.
"of course you did," mel cooed and planted a kiss behind your ear. jesse quirked an eyebrow in confusion. "maybe i just want some alone time with my lovely girlfriend before i start my day. that okay with you?"
you nodded sheepishly and leaned in to her. you could feel her possessive anger in her tough grip on your waist, could see it in the subtle wild edge to her green eyes. despite being in deep trouble, you still relaxed into the warmth of her casual touch and the familiar scent of patchouli on her skin.
jesse took a step back, opening his mouth as if to say something and sighing instead. as you and melissa exited the breakroom, jesse tried one more time to get your attention.
"hey, if you need any more—"
"i think we're good, janine," melissa cut him off with a dismissive gesture.
"it's jesse," the man sighed with a frustrated look at the camera.
---
"what the hell was that, huh?" melissa had you pinned up against her classroom door before you could even process what was happening. "you're givin' free tours now?"
"n-no!" you stammered frantically, squirming with unease (and excitement) at the fiery confrontation. "not free! i only did it so he would give me the extra chairs from his classroom. you know i've been down a few since the eighth graders tried to make 'chairing' a thing, and i can't let my kids spend another day on the floor. it's not fair!"
"how many times have i told you, i can get you anything you need?"
"yeah, and where's your 'chair guy' now? at least jesse can finish the job!"
oh, you fucked up. you knew it the moment the words left your mouth. melissa eased off of you physically, but her intense glare kept you frozen in place.
"we'll talk about this when we get home. i love you; don't forget it," melissa pecked your cheek and you cocked your head, confused at her sudden tranquility. she moved to whisper in your ear. "because tonight, i'm takin' all my jealousy out on you."
---
you had the misfortune of running into jesse one more time before the day was done. he wolf-whistled from behind you as you walked briskly from your classroom to the lobby, ready to meet melissa and head home.
melissa might have broken his nose if jacob and gregory hadn't been there to hold her back. in fact, she was a split-second away from swinging when jacob took hold of her dominant wrist, shaking his head. gregory followed suit with the other.
the redhead tried to wrench her arms free and glared sternly at the young men when she couldn't. sensing her frustration, you hurried over to her. melissa's gaze softened as soon as she saw you leaning over the counter. you gave jacob and gregory an appreciative nod.
the pair let go of her arms and you took her hands in yours. "let's go home," you said.
the two of you walked out of the building as jacob and gregory approached jesse.
"she's not interested, if you're still wondering," jacob said, patting jesse's shoulder in mock sympathy.
"should be pretty obvious by now," gregory added.
"first day, and you pissed off my scariest teacher and my favorite?" ava said while strutting out of her office. "nice career move, jason," she snarked. the teachers gave her a bewildered look. "what? i pay attention!"
---
once you got home, it all happened in a blur. melissa's possessive rage had you slipping into that fuzzy, pliable headspace before she even slammed the bedroom door behind you.
you couldn't concentrate on much besides her forceful touch, fingers digging into your hips and mouth sucking bruises into your neck. her low voice cut through the static occasionally, but she seemed to be venting to herself rather than you.
"mine..." her fingernails dug into the flesh of your waist. "touchin' my girl..." she spaced out the words between nips to your neck. "gotta mark you up, let the whole world know..." she landed a hard swat on your ass, then shoved you off of her. "on the bed."
---
"remind me again what he said when you spilled coffee on your shirt," melissa growled from above you. you were spread out on her bed, naked with your legs kept apart by turquoise ropes tied to the bedposts.
"he said, 'feel free to take it off. i wouldn't complain about the view,'" you whispered back.
"and you just let that slide, hm? you entertained him knowin' all he wanted was an eyeful of your tits?"
"yes, melissa."
"i'm sorry, does someone need a reminder of who owns her? i'm happy to provide, sweet girl. tell me," she dipped a finger into your folds and stroked you lightly, "who gets you this wet?"
"you do, ah, only you," you whimpered as she caressed you.
"uh-huh," she cooed, sounding unsatisfied still. "that's right, baby. and i'm the only one who gets to see you like this."
she gripped your hips harshly before gliding her hands up to your chest. she kneaded the swollen flesh of your tits and then zeroed in on your nipples, tweaking and tugging on them.
"that fucker," melissa began, breathing heavily. "will never know how soft these are."
you shook your head in frantic agreement as she massaged you. one of her hands slipped down between your legs again.
"he'll never hear how your breath catches in your throat when your clit's touched," she whispered, beginning to rub soft circles into your bundle of nerves. "or—" she withdrew suddenly and gave your pussy a swat, "how you cry at a spanking."
her jealous attitude had you soaked and sensitive. you were already close when she brought two fingers to your entrance and pushed in.
"and if he ever even imagines the face you make when you come, that pretty little lip bite you do," melissa pumped and curled her fingers roughly, "i'll take edith houghton to'm."
her speed quickly picked up and soon she was diving into you with force, bullying your g-spot with her fingertips.
"come. now," she ordered, and you fell over the edge. you spasmed around her fingers as she drove them in and out of you. she smirked with pride as she looked down at you.
but when you got too sensitive and started to squirm away from her touch, she doubled down. she pumped her fingers faster, and dipped down to suckle on your clit. you cried out. it felt like you were on fire, but the burn was oh so delicious.
"and he'll never guess what happens when you get all sensitive..." she picked her head up momentarily to say this before sucking hard on your nub and crooking her fingers inside you.
you felt the burn rise into a hot tidal wave. a flood of warm liquid spilled out of you. melissa helped you through it before withdrawing her touch, her hands retreating to your thighs. she looked down at you fondly, smiling with only a tiny bit of smug satisfaction.
"god, i love when you do that," she mused, smiling at your dazed, pretty, happy face. "it's like a gift just for me."
a gift. happy first day to me, he had said.
now reminded, melissa was pissed again. but the venom of her jealousy had trickled away, and now all that remained was an urgent need to give you the love and care you deserved.
"but you said somethin' earlier about 'finishing the job.' and i just feel like my job isn't finished, sweetheart," she smiled and cupped your cheeks. "how's a bubble bath sound?"
"mm-hmmm," you managed, fucked out and delirious.
---
"i really wasn't jealous, ya know," melissa murmured into your ear as you snuggled into bed, her chest pressed against your back.
"i find that hard to believe. i mentioned his name and you ripped my panties," you teased.
"okay, maybe a little bit."
"30 percent?"
"20."
"25."
"fine."
"then what was the other 75 percent?"
"i guess it just pisses me off when people don't treat you right. you're a beautiful angel, not a sex doll."
"i don't want you to feel... to feel like you have to take care of me all the time."
"baby girl, you know i don't do things i don't wanna do. you're the love of my life. i wanna spend every minute treatin' you like a princess."

a/n: hiii everyone!! this is my first little story, I hope you all enjoy it as much as I enjoyed writing it, if you want to see more of my writing feel free to send me a request!! Enjoy! ;) words: 1.9k
warnings: tiny bit of swearing, I wrote this with a fem reader, kinda jealous Melissa
When you walk into the staff room in the morning, the first person you notice is your beautiful girlfriend, sitting at her usual table, sipping her coffee with her work wife, Barb, right next to her. At first, she doesn’t notice you, being way too preoccupied by whatever story Barbara is telling. But when she does turn to you, with a frown still on her face from the conversation that was happening prior, her gaze softens and she gives you a soft smile only you can recognize as an “I love you”.
“There she is!” you hear Jacob saying from across the room “Where were you? How come you didn’t get here at the same time as Melissa? Oh no, did you guys fight?” He nervously says as he quickly makes his way over to you.
“Nooo!! No no, I was just running a little bit late so I told Mel to leave without me, thank you for your concern tho!” you laugh.
Everyone at Abbott knew you and Melissa were together, infact, they were the ones who had gotten you two together in the first place, six months ago and they were the biggest fans too. If anything ever happened between you two, your colleagues would probably be more crushed than you and your own girlfriend.
You hear the teacher’s lounge door open and turn around to see who it might be. Suddenly, one of your very close friends and fellow teacher at Abbott, Lauryn, bursts into the room with her usual smile plastered on her face. When she sees you waving, she makes her way over to you.
“Hey girl!! Such a nice day today huh?” she says.
“It is! Oh my god I love your dress!!” you exclaim as you look up and down at her outfit. She is wearing the most beautiful flower patterned dress. You make a mental note to look online for a similar one when you get home tonight.
“Thank you so much!! You know, I bet it would make that perfect ass of yours stand out, you should get one.” She says and proceeds to lick her lips.
You blush out of embarrassment. Did she forget you are with someone? Even worse, that Melissa is literally sitting not even 2 meters from where this very awkward interaction just took place and heard it? You quickly try and look at Jacob, trying to see if he heard the same thing, but unfortunately, he has already left and is talking to Gregory. You quickly glance over at your girlfriend who you can tell very well, has her fists clenched so hard and is fuming right now.
“Uh, thanks!” you try to say as normally as possible, trying to hide the confusion in your face.  “Um anyways, I really have to go, the kids are going to get here soon.” You quickly say and wave goodbye, smiling at her. You rush out of the room, wanting to get away from this whole situation as fast as possible. However, Melissa notices this weird behavior, as she is getting up to come check on you Barb sits her back down.
“Melissa, you heard what she said, the kids will be getting here soon, she probably just wants to prepare everything.” she says “And besides i'm not done with my story yet, so sit back down.” she adds, while tugging at her sleeve to bring her back down.
When you get to your classroom, you start writing everything you need down on the board, such as the date and the kids schedule that they can rely on during the day. While you’re writing with your favouite purple dry erase marker, your mind starts to wander off. You start to think about how everyone has been telling you for weeks now that Lauryn might be in love with you, but you’ve just been denying it and shrugging it off. But now, you’re starting to wonder if it’s actually true. It’s not like you’re into Lauryn or anything, you have the best girlfriend in the world! Infact, Lauryn’s flirty comments are starting to make you feel uncomfortable, you thought she knew that you were dating Melissa…maybe she forgot?
Before you know it, the bell rings and your little kiddos are running in and hugging you like they normally do every morning. You snap out of your thoughts and start your lesson, you’ll deal with the issue eventually, but for now, all that matters is your students.
After lunch was your free period while your students were in gym class. Today, you preferred to avoid everyone and stay in your classroom to do some grading on the most recent test.
Just as you put a sticker on the last copy, you hear a soft knock at the door, you turn arround expecting to see Melissa but you’re met with Lauryn’s grin, holding her cellphone.
“Hey! Am I bothering you?” She asks, peeking into your classroom to see if anyone else is there.
“Nope, I just finished grading these papers.” You reply, gesturing to the stack of documents on the corner of your desk.
“Ahhh alright well, I need to show you this video, it’s so us!” She says excitedly and comes to stand next to where you’re sitting down.
You start to watch the video but quickly realise it’s dedicated to couples… you stop paying attention and focus more on the reflection of the glass of the phone, when you see Lauryn, she’s not.. looking at the video? You try to see what she’s looking at and realize that she is staring directly at your cleavage, practically drooling too. You get red. You get uncomfortable. You start to pray for her to leave or someone to wal-
Someone knocks at the door, again.
“Am I interrupting something?” You look up, recognizing the voice.
Melissa is standing at the door, hands on her hips.
“Oh hey Melissa!” says Lauryn “You aren’t interrupting anything, I was just showing Y/N this video.” She goes to show Mel the clip.
Your girlfriend clearly also realizes the video is meant for couples and clears her throat, crossing her arms. This makes you look up at her. You can see that she’s jealous, she is part of the group of people that think Lauryn is in love with you and she is also not having it right now.
“Well, I’ll leave you two lovebirds to it!” Says Lauryn, she waves goodbye at the two of you and walks out of your classroom. Clearly she knows that you and Mel are together, so what is this all about?
You and your girlfriend stare at eachother for what feels like forever, until you decide to speak up first.
“Look I d-” You start.
“What the hell was that?” Your girlfriend cuts you off.
“Listen Melissa, I have no idea she just, ugh!” You say, being exhausted from this whole situation “Please don’t be mad, I don’t feel like fighting, I’ll talk to her later.” You finish.
“Hon,I'm not mad, heck if anything I'm jealous!” she says, uncrossing her arms and slowly walking towards you “She’s always making these comments and remarks about your body and undressing you with her eyes! I’m the only one who gets to do that here. And the worst part is, I can tell you hate it, it makes you extremely uncomfortable.” She continues, bending down infront of you and resting her hands on the armrests of your chair. You blush, she knows you perfectly.
“It does.” You say, getting more and more red. You quickly look down at her lips, unknowingly licking your own. The redhead in front of you notices.
“I know it does” she answers, bending her face down to yours, your mouths are inches away from each other “And no, i’ll be the one to do something about it.”
You smile before kissing her softly, she kisses you back with just as much softness. After a moment, the kiss starts to turn more and more hungry. She places her hand on the back of your neck, pulling you closer. You smile into the kiss. The school bell suddenly rings, signaling that you have to go get your kids from the gym.
You groan as you pull away from her mouth
“Fuck, I have to go get my kids at the gym! I’m so sorry Mel, I'll talk to you later!” You quickly peck her lips before exiting your class.
Melissa stays there for a moment, smiling to herself, thinking about how much she loves you.
It’s the end of the day, you students have alrea dy gone home and all that’s left to do is go down to the teacher’s lounge to collect your things that you had left there.
When you get there, you’re greeted by all your friends who are also gathering their things.
“Hey girl, did you have a good day? I didn’t see you around much?” Asks Janine, with a small frown, her face slightly coated in worry.
“Yes I had a good day, I just had a lot of grading to do and preferred to do it in my own space.” You reply reassuringly.
“Oh okay!” She smiles at you.
“Hey, uh, Y/N?” You recognize the voice, it’s Lauryn “Do you think maybe.. you’d wanna um, get drinks or something tonight?” She asks nervously.
“Uh, um” you have no idea what to say “I uh..”
Melissa, who was talking to Barb as per usual, notices you and Lauryn right away and decides that this is her time to shine, this is where this little Lauryn thing stops.
“Hey, Lauryn?” Melissa says while approaching you from behind “Have you ever noticed in the last six months that, I don’t know, me and Y/N are dating? Or did you just think we were joking?”
“Oh! Well..” The girl in front of you says
“Save it glasses, and save up that money for a new pair because this one isn’t working” Mel says “Now back the fuck off before I throw you down the stairs and the only drinks you’ll be getting are jello cups from the hospital” She finishes, before quickly turning around to grab her things and you by the arm and dragging you out the door.
“Oh, bye guys!!” She loudly says to everyone else in the room to make sure everyone heard.
“Bye Melissa!” Janine awkwardly says and makes her way towards Lauryn to check on her, not to comfort her, just to make sure no one ends up hating her in the future.
When you get to Melissa’s car, you can’t help but smile at her, and then well, laugh. You had no idea she was going to do this right then and there but she did. She joins the laughing fit after a few seconds.
“Oh how I love you!” You kiss her passionately before turning to your own car “I’ll see you at home sweetheart!” You yell at her before shutting your car door and starting your engine.
“I love you more hon, i’ll cook you your favorite pasta for dinner!” She yells back before shutting her car door as well.
With that, you both drive away to where was originally only Melissa’s house, but is now yours too, and you plan on it being for a very long time. Plus, you get to look for that new dress you want!

Eddie Diaz Masterlist
Part 1
Summary: (Y/n) has moved on from her abusive ex. She's happily married with a family. Until her ex sees her and attacks her in the street.
Enjoy.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tumblr media
"Stay still, baby, please?" (Y/n) couldn't keep the tiredness from her voice as her shoulders dropped and her teeth sank down on her bottom lip.
Evie wasn't making things easy for her.
Her little legs were kicking out and coiling up to her stomach like she was pretending to ride a bike or kick at a football. She wouldn't stay still. (Y/n) was sure her little girl didn't wriggle this much before she hurt her wrist. Evie seemed to be doing this on purpose because she knew (Y/n) was struggling to change her and get her dressed.
Maybe she was doing it so Eddie would come and change her. Maybe she thought it was funny that (Y/n) was getting easily irritable lately.
She poked her tongue between her teeth and tried again to get Evie's legs back into her onesie. It had taken a good ten minutes for (Y/n) to change her nappy with how she kept wriggling and trying to roll onto her tummy to get further up the bed.
(Y/n) had never been more relieved that Eddie had been at the hospital with her and had spoken for her.
After arriving at the hospital, everything blurred together. (Y/n) didn't know whether the nurse had given her anaesthetic to knock her out or if the pain relief and her concussion had made her pass out. All (Y/n) knew for sure was that after arriving in the emergency room, she had gone unconscious.
She had an MRI, a CT scan and even an X-ray all while she was unconscious, which seemed to have been the best thing as she didn't panic or scream or demand Eddie be in the room with her.
And he had told them not to give her a pot on her arm when they found out her left arm was fractured an inch below the wrist. She was extremely lucky she had two fractures in her arm rather than in her wrist. If Jamie had stomped on her just two inches higher up, he would have shattered her joint and made her recovery even worse.
Eddie told the doctor that (Y/n) was a new mum, she couldn't go round with a pot on her arm when she had a newborn to look after. And he knew whether or not they had Evie, (Y/n) wouldn't stand for feeling helpless with a pot.
They gave her a removeable foam cast that strapped with velcro around her wrist and hand. And it had two metal beams on either side for support and to keep her arm straight.
She had had the cast for five days now and (Y/n) couldn't cope. She didn't know how she was going to manage the next three weeks like this.
"Baby, please-"
Whatever bribe she was about to try and tell her daughter turned into a morphed cry when Evie kicked her in the arm.
It wasn't intentional, she was a baby with the attention span of a fish. She wasn't entertained having her nappy changed and she wanted to wriggle around and play and babble and find something amusing. But it felt personal. It felt like Evie was trying to hurt (Y/n) while she was already down.
Her teeth sank down on her tongue hard enough to draw blood and (Y/n) pulled away from the bed, coiling her throbbing arm to her chest like it was about to snap off.
Her knees sank down to the carpet and she groaned, smothering her face in the bed sheet to morph her scream.
Her fingers grazed up and down her arm while the cover soaked up her tears that wouldn't stop once they started. (Y/n) didn't want to scream and startle Evie or make her cry. She could barely soothe Evie when she was distressed. She couldn't rock her properly when she only had one good arm and she couldn't play or comfort her or lift her up. (Y/n) could barely carry her. Upsetting her wouldn't do either of them any favours.
"Mi amor… what's going on, hm?"
Eddie cautiously padded into the room, his eyes differing between his two girls to find out what the problem was.
He leaned over the bed and smiled softly at Evie who was cooeing and dribbling, but she was settled enough in the middle of the bed. She wasn't about to fall or roll off and she wasn't distressed or being fussy. Eddie gave her foot a little tug to grab her attention before he slowly crouched down beside (Y/n), shifting his weight from his heels to his toes.
He rested one hand on (Y/n)'s arm and gently slid his other hand beneath her cheek, carefully lifting her head up from the bed so he could look at her. If it wasn't for her quiet cries and the shaking in her shoulders, Eddie would have thought she had fainted.
"Baby…" He waited. Nothing but love and patience radiated off of Eddie while he waited for (Y/n) to tell him what was wrong.
She didn't say anything. The tears falling from her lashes and the way she gingerly held her trembling, swollen arm out towards him was worth a thousand words. She'd hurt her arm.
"Okay, let's get your cast back on."
He took a quick look around the room before he let go of (Y/n) and moved over to the chest of drawers beside the door to grab her cast. When he knelt down in front of her, (Y/n) kept her eyes on his knees but she held her arm out, trying to stop the shaking so he could get the cast on.
Her thumb slid easily into the groove and Eddie was gentle when he secured the velcro straps tight around her arm so the metal rods were pressing into her arm. Once it was pinned in place, he glided his thumb up and down the back of her hand.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm useless, I- I can't even change her," (Y/n) moved her hand to her temple but she quickly jerked her hand away when her temple throbbed.
She kept forgetting about the five stitches in her head.
She couldn't hide the stitches behind her hair, they split right across the left side of her temple. But even now the swelling had gone down from what it had been, touching the stitches or anywhere near them felt like someone was sending currents rocketing through (Y/n)'s blood. It was as if she was hitting that brick wall all over again whenever she tried to touch her forehead.
She slumped her cheek down against the bed and closed her eyes, but it didn't do anything to hide or stop the tears from falling.
"Baby you're not useless because you're getting used to something different. And it's not gonna be like this for long."
Eddie laid his left elbow on the bed and propped his head on his hand while he reached his right hand out and started to glide his fingertips up and down her thigh. He knew how she felt. After he got shot he couldn't use his right arm for nearly a month and he'd never felt more hopeless and frustrated all at once. If he didn't have (Y/n) around to help look after Chris and help Eddie get dressed and washed, he didn't know how he would of coped.
But she wasn't useless. She had managed to change Evie, it was just a little harder to get her dressed but it wasn't impossible and if (Y/n) couldn't do it, all she had to do was ask Eddie. And Chris was more than willing to help, he had been trying to look after Evie since the moment they brought her home. He was thrilled to be stepping into the big brother role.
"It's three weeks."
"So for the next three weeks I'll change her and you feed her." There was a hint of a smile on Eddie's face but it disappeared when a fresh wave of tears poured down (Y/n)'s face.
"You'll change her at work?"
Eddie would have to go back to work eventually. It didn't matter whether he wanted to stay home with (Y/n) or not, he couldn't stay off work with her forever. And (Y/n) knew the longer Eddie stayed home, the more reluctant they would both be about him going back.
But she didn't want him to leave her.
If Eddie went to work, what was (Y/n) going to do? How would she feel safe when Jamie had made her more vulnerable by breaking her wrist and splitting her head open. How could she defend herself now?
How could she leave the house?
How was she going to look after the kids with Eddie away for twelve hours at a time? Leaving (Y/n) to get Evie changed and washed and dressed and helping Chris get ready and taking him to and from school. And making dinner and washing and cleaning and doing the shopping. (Y/n) couldn't see herself doing any of that right now.
"We'll sort something out, baby. I'm not going back to work yet, not until I know you're okay."
He leaned across and moved his hand to cup the back of (Y/n)'s neck. When she pushed forward into his chest, Eddie kissed the top of her head and smoothed his thumb up and down her skin. He took a few deep breaths, inhaling the scent of her shampoo while he felt her right hand scrunch up in his shirt.
He tilted his left wrist at an angle and glanced down at his watch before he clicked his tongue.
"Alright, school run." He murmured into her hair, managing a small smile when (Y/n)'s eyes followed him as he pushed up to his feet.
She let him curl his hands around her elbows and gently ease her up from the floor. And a smile formed on Eddie's lips when he looked down on the bed and saw Evie wafting her arms out in front of her like she was trying to catch something.
"Come here, wriggler."
It was almost irritating how quickly and easily Eddie wrangled Evie into her onesie and scooped her up. Almost like she had truly been playing (Y/n) up but now she was being as good as gold for Eddie. Her chin perched on his shoulder and she drooled against his neck while her legs kicked and tapped against his stomach.
"I'll take her with me for a stroll… do you wanna come with us for a walk?" Eddie bounced Evie on his chest and pressed a gentle kiss to her small wisps of hair as he headed down the hall, feeling (Y/n) close behind him.
It wasn't far to the school and it would be good to get Evie out for some fresh air. And Eddie didn't have to rush off to work so he could take the time to walk Chris to and from school instead of drive him there.
Eddie headed down the hall and slipped on his trainers, but when he turned to look over his shoulder, dread pooled in his stomach. He thought (Y/n) was following behind him because she was agreeing to come with him to pick up Chris. But he could feel his heart hammering away in his chest making his stomach churn when he watched (Y/n)'s face fall.
It was as if he'd told her he was leaving for the whole week rather than just for half an hour. Her teeth clamped down on her lower lip but it didn't stop her lips from falling into a frown and when her eyes began to water, Eddie felt like crying too.
"No."
"Okay, I'll take Evie with me, I won't-"
He barely curled his hand around the pram before (Y/n) moved so she was stood in front of him. She tried to grab his wrist but had to switch hands when she remembered the cast that was constricting her left hand. Her grip on his wrist was sharp and sudden and Eddie froze, watching with panic in his eyes as (Y/n) started to shake her head.
She pushed the pram and pulled Eddie's hand away as if it was fragile and he was going to break it. What was she doing? What was wrong?
"No, don't take her. She can stay with me." The desperation in her voice caught Eddie off guard. Why wasn't he supposed to take Evie with him? It was only for a walk.
"Why?" He couldn't hide the caution from his voice or the unease that was written across his face.
"It's not safe."
"What's not safe?"
"If, if he sees her, he'll know. He'll know she's ours and he'll hurt her."
Eddie could feel his shoulders tensing up and when (Y/n) let go of his wrist, he moved his hand to gently cup the back of Evie's head. He pressed another kiss against her head, trying to slow down his breathing and stop himself from panicking as much as (Y/n).
His thumb danced across Evie's cheek and he could feel (Y/n)'s eyes burning into him when he took two steps forward and leaned over the pram. He couldn't have this conversation and try to console (Y/n) while he had Evie in his arms. He had to put her down despite the way (Y/n)'s words made him want to cling to his daughter tighter in a vain attempt to keep her safe.
He turned so he was facing (Y/n) and he kept his movements slow while he held his hands out towards her. When she didn't pull away or take a step back, Eddie cupped her face in his hands and stood close enough so their chests were touching.
He could feel her breaths turning shallow and how she was panting to try and take in enough oxygen. He wanted desperately to press his forehead down against hers, but he couldn't without touching her stitches and inflicting agony on her.
"Baby, I promise you that he isn't going to get anywhere near you or Evie. I won't let him. She's safe, I'll keep her safe-"
"She's safe here! He doesn't know about her, let her stay with me… Eddie he- he stomped on my wrist because he s-saw my rings. If he sees you with a pram, he'll know a-and he'll try to hurt her. I can't- he can hurt me but not Evie!"
(Y/n) had been so thankful that her mum had looked after Evie when Jamie stumbled into her and attacked her. She didn't know what he would do. She had no idea whether he would try to take Evie to torment (Y/n) or if he would resort to hurting a baby or frightening her. The possibilities were endless and frightening and tormenting.
But right now, Evie was safe. Jamie didn't know (Y/n) and Eddie had had a baby. If he saw Eddie with a pram, it wouldn't take a genius to figure out that it was (Y/n)'s child and that would infuriate Jamie. He broke her arm because he found out she had married Eddie, (Y/n) didn't want to imagine what he would do if he found out she'd started a family with him and was moving on with her life, without Jamie.
If Evie stayed home with (Y/n), there was no chance of bumping into Jamie on the street while he was out on bail. He wouldn't find out and (Y/n) could keep Evie safe.
"No."
Eddie's gritty voice took (Y/n) by surprise and she shivered, at the point of cowering down. She didn't know what he meant.
"Don't- Don't say that. Hurting you isn't okay. If the team hadn't been there the other day, I'd of snapped his neck for what he's done to you. But I won't let him do it again, he won't see or touch either of you."
He hated that (Y/n) felt like she had to rationalise this and think that if she got hurt it was okay, as long as Evie stayed safe. Eddie didn't want her to think like that. He needed (Y/n) to understand that getting hurt was not acceptable and Jamie needed to be held accountable for what he'd done.
Eddie knew without a shadow of a doubt that if the team hadn't of been there with him in that moment, Jamie wouldn't have made it out alive. Eddie would have smashed his head into that wall. He would of broken every bone he could find and leave him bleeding out in that alley like he deserved for everything he had put (Y/n) through.
He wasn't letting Jamie do that again and he would never let him get near Evie. Eddie would die before that happened.
"So, so let Evie stay home with me… baby we're safe here-" (Y/n) scrunched her hands up in Eddie's shirt so tightly he could feel the desperation radiating off of her and it made his eyes water.
"Oh mi amor… I can't keep you two locked up in the house. You think I don't want to? I know you're all safe here with me, I wanna keep you here and take you with me to work or wherever I go so I know nothing's gonna happen to you. But I can't do that. You can't stay locked up in the house with the kids to keep them safe."
He wanted to. God, Eddie wanted to lock that front door with fifty bolts everytime he was going to leave (Y/n) alone.
He would take her with him if he could. He would bring (Y/n), Chris and Evie to the station and watch over them at all times. He would get the team to come over to the house and keep them safe if Eddie had to go out anywhere. But he couldn't do any of that.
If Eddie let (Y/n) stay cooped up in the house with Evie, it was going to enforce the fact that her anxiety was right and the house was the only safe place for her. She couldn't think like that or she would never leave the house.
It had been a struggle in the beginning for (Y/n) to feel brave enough to leave the house before her attack. Now Jamie had set her back miles and frightened her to the point of wanting to stay locked up in her own home so she didn't have to fear getting hurt. He was locking her in a cage without even knowing it and that killed Eddie. It killed him that Jamie could have this much power over them and could continue to hurt (Y/n) when he had no right.
"Come with me. Take a walk down to the school with me baby-"
"It's not safe!"
"I'll keep you safe. No one's gonna go near you, I won't let him or anyone else hurt you, I promise."
(Y/n) leaned forward and smothered her face in Eddie's chest, crying harder at the pain that burned behind her temple and blinded her eyes with white spots. She could feel her knees buckling and her lungs cutting off from the panic and the throbbing agony mixing together inside of her like a churning cauldron.
When he felt her murmuring 'I can't' over and over into his chest, Eddie cupped the back of her head and kissed her hair.
"Okay, okay, shh. It's alright." He began to sway them from side to side with his arm tightening around her waist. "Let me take Evie to get Chris, let me show you she's gonna be okay, I'm not gonna let anything happen to her or Chris, you know that."
He almost fainted with relief when he realised (Y/n) was nodding against his chest. She was agreeing with him on this. She would stay home while Eddie went to pick up Chris and (Y/n) would see that nothing was going to happen.
It didn't matter whether Eddie ran into Jamie in the street or if Jamie saw Eddie with a ten year old and a newborn in a pram. Because Eddie would keep their kids safe. He wouldn't let Jamie approach them or say one word to the kids.
And in a few days, Eddie was going to try and get (Y/n) out the house. They would start small, going round the block or just out on the front. But he couldn't go back to work if (Y/n) was going to hibernate in the house. He had to help her move forward and get some sense of normality and control back before he dared think about leaving her for any amount of time.
"It's all gonna be okay."
***
"I don't want to."
(Y/n) coiled her left arm to her chest and began to glide her fingertips up and down the foam cast and along the metal beam supporting the cast in place. Her eyes cast down to her feet that were fidgeting on the spot.
Her head was filling up with air. The stitches in her temple were throbbing. Her temple felt like it was swelling up, about to explode. Her arm was aching like it was being fractured all over again and it felt like it was going to drop off. Adrenaline was shooting through her stomach and she felt like she was going to be sick.
She couldn't do this.
She began to shake her head as tears pooled in the corners of her eyes but when she looked up at Eddie, she felt her knees tremble.
"Baby, it's just a walk. I'm gonna be with you, you're safe with me aren't you?"
When Eddie reached out and moved his hands to her hips, (Y/n) pushed forward and burrowed her head into the crook of his neck.
He wasn't opening the front door and pushing (Y/n) out all alone to fend for herself. He wasn't forcing her to go out alone and walk the streets and feel like a prey waiting to be captured. He was going to go out with her and see how far they could walk. Even if it was just up and down the street or round the block.
Eddie just needed to get (Y/n) outside.
One week in the house was enough or else (Y/n) was never going to feel safe going out and Eddie needed to make her feel safe. He would do anything in his power to make her feel safe.
(Y/n) moved her hand, pressing her palm against Eddie's chest and she looked up at him for a few seconds before she looked across towards the living room.
"They're fine, Hen's watching them." He could see the worries floating around in her head.
He knew it would be too much for (Y/n) to try and go out with the kids on the first try. She would panic too much about bumping into Jamie and struggling to keep the kids safe and get them back home. Eddie needed to get her out on a walk, just the two of them to show (Y/n) she was okay before they tried going out with the kids.
"Come on, just a quick walk."
(Y/n) looped her good hand around Eddie's arm and tucked herself into his side as much as she could without knocking him over.
She couldn't help but close her eyes and mesh her forehead into his shoulder but she knew he didn't mind.
Stepping outside didn't feel too bad. Getting out the house wasn't so much a problem as the thought of being outside or more specifically, being away from the house. How would (Y/n) be safe if Jamie was walking the street? What if he tried to hurt her? What if he went for Eddie and hurt him? What if Eddie retaliated and took things too far, what was (Y/n) going to do?
Eddie could feel the tension radiating off of (Y/n) when they walked down the drive. It was as if the world was screaming at her and all (Y/n) could do was cringe and listen.
You're not safe anymore! You're a target! Protect yourself, get back inside!
(Y/n) took a deep breath and tried to find something to focus on. Her eyes fell on Eddie's shoes and she took to watching each step he took. Counting the steps; ten feet from home. Fifteen feet, twenty feet.
The further they walked, the higher the red alert went off in (Y/n)'s mind.
Her left arm stayed wrapped around her front and she couldn't help but twitch and dance her fingers up and down to get rid of some of the energy rattling through her. At least she had her cast on now while she wasn't doing much, then when they were back home and safe, she could take it off to try and chance Evie and sort out tea.
"Breathe; you're doing so good, and I'm right here."
She let her eyes tear away from Eddie's shoes when his hand moved to rest beneath her chin and he gently tilted her head up in his direction.
There was no annoyance or irritation in his eyes like a small part of (Y/n) was expecting. All she could see was adoration and understanding and when he pressed a sweet, gentle kiss to her lips, (Y/n) could of melted.
He slowly unravelled his arm that she was clinging to and moved it around her waist so she could tuck closer into his side like she was finding shelter under his wing. He kissed her again, then again, then her cheek while his fingers danced across her jaw.
They carried on walking as slow as possible when Eddie was sure (Y/n) was breathing properly and she wasn't about to collapse.
Eddie felt like smiling when they carried on walking and he could feel (Y/n) relaxing more and more into his side. He knew she was still focusing on the ground and she wasn't looking around at their surroundings, but she was pushing forward and walking further away from home which is all Eddie could ask for right now.
"Okay?" He murmured softly against her hair when she came to a sudden stop near the corner.
He went to carry on walking round the corner towards the left but he stopped abruptly when (Y/n) didn't move. She stayed rooted to the spot and her eyes finally lifted from the floor to look up at Eddie with those piercing eyes that could make him burn the world down for her.
"That way." She shakily leaned into Eddie to nudge him towards the right and then it clicked.
The doctor's office was that way. That was the route (Y/n) had taken when she got attacked. She wasn't walking a foot in that direction. Not yet. Not today.
He nodded wordlessly and attached his lips to her temple while they turned to head in the other direction. Eddie would never want to walk (Y/n) down there this soon after the incident. He knew better than anyone that going down there would only send her into a spiral and give her flashbacks.
(Y/n) looped her right arm around Eddie's torso and leaned her head on his arm. She tried to focus on what he was saying, but she couldn't help but turn her head and look behind them.
She closed her eyes and pressed her lips and nose against Eddie's shoulder.
Deep breaths. No one's following you. Eddie will keep you safe.
But was that man following them? He was walking ten feet behind them and he was keeping up the pace with them. He didn't turn the corner, he continued walking their way.
Was Jamie going to be around the next corner? Was anyone else going to crawl out the woodwork and try to follow them or attack them?
The more she thought about it, the worse her anxiety became until all (Y/n) could think about was going home.
If Jamie attacks Eddie that will be your fault. You have to protect him from Jamie. If he hurts any of your family it will be on your head.
Eddie tilted his head down and looked down at (Y/n) when he realised she was slowing down again. It took him a few seconds to realise she was in fact, shaking against him.
He moved his hand to rest between her hips and when (Y/n) stopped walking, he stopped with her. He turned so their chests were touching and his free hand cupped the side of her face and tilted her head back so they were looking at one another.
Tears were welling up in her eyes again and she was barely breathing.
"Mi amor, look at me. Everything's okay," He realised his words weren't getting through to her. (Y/n)'s lips were moving, she was muttering something but her voice was so quiet Eddie couldn't hear her. All he knew was that she was panicking to the point she was going to pass out and he couldn't have that.
Her pupils were blown wide but Eddie could of sworn she was having some kind of seizure or episode.
"Let's get you home."
They had tried and they had gotten this far. That was an achievement and Eddie couldn't push (Y/n) any further than this. They had to go home. He had to make her feel safe.
He was relieved (Y/n) kept moving when he turned her around, bound his arms around her waist and steered her back down the street. His arms looped tight around her waist and he pressed his lips to the side of her head, murmuring "You're doing so good," against the shell of her ear.
The closer to home they got, the more Eddie could feel (Y/n) wanted to run. She was desperate to break out into a run and bolt inside, but she didn't have the courage or the energy. She could barely put one foot in front of the other until it was Eddie steering and pushing her forward towards the house.
Eddie bound his arm tighter around her waist when he opened the front door and he felt her legs giving way.
As soon as they were inside, (Y/n) slumped down on her knees. She felt her chest seizing up and her head flopped forward, but she didn't get chance to fold in on herself.
Eddie was right behind her. He reeled her back up into his chest and tilted her head back on his shoulder. His hands gave her a tight squeeze and he glided his fingers up and down the side of her chest while his lips pressed over her ear.
"Breathe, mi amor. In… out, with me, look? That's it. Everything's okay, nothing's happened. Everyone is safe."
They were moving in the right direction. She had gone outside and that was all Eddie had been asking for.
They would do this together. He wasn't going to leave her at any point; (Y/n) wasn't doing any of this on her own.
You help your grand girls pick out Simon’s favorite flowers
Warnings: little tooth rotting love, Fluff, small smut, mention of simon’s past, angst (a lot of it), hint of dementia, major character death
simon x reader fluff/angst list
Giggling and pattered feet ran across the hall. You knew that sound. You smiled as you turned around from the kitchen chair. Two small children looked up at you. “Nana we want to pick flowers for papa.” The youngest said, you seen the mix of your son and his wife into the children. Beautiful grandkids that you loved so dear.
“For papa,” You whispered looking up into the hallway that leads to different rooms. You looked back down. “Okay, his favorite flowers are coming out at the moment.”
Flowers. You both don’t even know how you got into the topic, the area could have been invaded by enemies at any time, and NOW was the time to talk about flowers. “Lovie is this the best time?” Ghost whispered looking through the scope.
You sighed standing next to him. “Marriage is next week.” Looking around your surroundings, you both were ordered into the Alps for recon on the Russians. Definitely not the time or place.
Ghost sighed shaking his head. “If we get home in time.”
“I’m serious,” You responded. “Mom has been on my fucking ass. What is your favorite flowers?”
Ghost adjusted himself and let out a long sigh. “Your mother,” He mumbled before sighing once more. “I always loved hibiscus. My mum would get excited when Tommy and I brought them in.” He briefly explained, making a quick look before looking back into scope.
It shocked you when he just threw that at you. He hadn’t opened up for a while and when he did it would be private. “Those are beautiful…”
“Those are beautiful Mels.” You said as she picked some of the hibiscus. She looked back at you with her beautiful brown eyes.
“Nana! Nana! Do you think papa would like these?” You turned slowly learning that your body is becoming frail with even a fast movement.
She held up a sunflower. You smiled nodding your head. “I think papa will like whatever you girls give him.”
They giggled as you led them into the kitchen bringing out a vase. “Let’s put them all into this yeah?” You asked bringing it to their level.
They carefully and slowly put the flowers in one by one. You smiled as their tiny hands went to work running to grab some ribbon and other craft related things. You let them decorate the vase as what they thought that fit into the decoration. You looked around and saw the painting that was covering a hole in the wall. Years ago that hole had formed there, hell before you even had your son.
Simon propped you up to his hips as he kissed you. It was full of love and need, it made your head dizzy. You both just bought the home and him stating that we should break it in made you rub your thighs.
“Fuck baby,” He whispered pushing your back into the wall. “All those pretty noises just for me.”
You nodded grinding on him. “Si-Stop teasing. I need you.”
Simon chuckled as he placed sloppy kisses on your neck, that you knew that would leave marks. “As you wish.” He mumbled. He rutted against you as you moaned and groaned. His teeth making marks on your neck.
As the clothes got off and he shoved his cock into you. It was a brutal pace, you both were fucking on the table, chair, and now against the wall. You started to pant and claw at his naked back. “Fuck fuck fuck.” Simon whispered picking up the pace.
“Yeah baby,” You panted grabbing his cheeks and kissing him hard. “I am almost there.” You whined.
Just like that he was hitting that fucking spot that made you see stars. Without even realizing how hard you threw your head back it slams right into the wall. The wall sunk in with your head. Simon stills and grabs at your face. “Lovie,” He asks with concern. You laughed and cackled as you turned your head to the wall. “Jesus fucking Christ.” He mumbled, chuckling as well checking your head.
You sighed and grabbed his cheeks again. Giving a small kiss. “We will fix it later.”
“Papa! Papa!” Yelled the youngest running to the hallway as the oldest was right behind her.
You followed the girls close behind hearing you bones creak by every step. “You do ya girls have,” The familiar British voice rang through the room. “For me?”
When you stepped in he had the girls on his lap and the case sitting on the near by coffee table. “Nana helped us!” The oldest said excitingly. He looked up at you smiling.
You could tell the old age was there. Wrinkles the hair that once was the dirty blonde now nearly white. “Did she now?”
You chuckled as you stepped into the room. “They needed the help.” You said shuffling your way to him.
The girls looked at both of you as you leaned down to kiss him. “Ew!” The screamed, hopping down and running out.
Simon chuckled as he looked up at you placing a hand on your cheek. The soft light came through the window, illuminating his brown eyes. “Never thought we would be here.” He whispered. “Grandkids.”
You smiled grabbing his hand to help him up. “No we did not huh.” When he stood up all the way, he still was tall as he was before, little less broad. He leaned down to give you a forehead kiss before walking pass you. When you turned to watch him, he wasn’t there. You panicked at first looking around. “Simon?” When you hurriedly walked around the house he was nowhere to be found. “Simon.” You eyes started to water.
“Mum?” You snapped your head to see your son.
“Oh sorry honey I can’t seem to find your father. I just talked to him. Have you seen him?” You said wiping the tears away.
Your son frowned. “Mum dad died almost 5 years ago.”
You frowned looking around. “No I just talked to him. I swear. The little ones gave him flowers and we picked them.” You started to explain.
Your son walked to you and placed a hand on your arm. “Mum Ellie and Melonie are much older now remember?”
You shook your head even more confused. “But…”
“Have you taken your meds?” Your son said as he asked away grabbing the pill schedule holder.
You stood there looking down the hall. You didn’t even realize it was dark out. You swore it was day time then You remembered Simon did pass away, after all the things he survived age got the best of him. He fell after trying to get up the stairs knocking his head. He was fine until he fell into a coma and slowly passed.
Soap and you were the only ones left from the Task Force. So when you called him to have him say his goodbyes to Simon he was there instantly. You watched as Johnny cried and told him about all the stories and adventures that they went on. You both laughed at some. Your kids said goodbyes to him as did the grandkids. You waited until it was time to unplug him, as his chest laid still. After that life became a blur.
“Mum.” you turned to see your son he has his features.
“I miss him.” You muttered, as you sobbed.
Your son came up to you and held you for a moment. Shushing your cries as you both stood there for a moment. “I bet dad does too.” he whispered holding back his tears.
You cried harder wishing that you both died together or you died first not wanting to have this heartache anymore. “Here come with me.” Your son said taking you to the living space.
He turned on the light and you stared at the chair he once sat in. “Dad told me that if he ever passed away, he knew you would be heartbroken.” He went to a radio and grabbed a disc putting it in.
You smiled a bit as he switched songs, knowing it was “Ghost’s Mixtape.” When Soap made it during the time in the force. Once the melody started to play your heart dropped. You looked at your son who smiled at you. “He taught me the little dance you guys would do when I was a baby.”
“My mum loved this song,” You looked over at Simon who had the disc that Soap gave him. You held your son that was cradled in a blanket. “Soap accidentally put this song into the mix.”
You giggled as he muttered the last word. After having your son, Simon softened a bit. He was at your side no matter what pampering you with kisses and praises. Saying “You are stronger than I lovie.” or “You look sexy as a mum.” And with you feeling under the weather he has been extra on that, especially when taking your son home just three weeks ago.
“Oh no is it some silly song like gummy bear?” You said rolling your eyes.
Simon snapped his head at you, offended look in his eyes. “Blood hell. Absolutely not,” The song came on with a soft beginning. The similar song that made your heart soften. “This…This was what my mum used to listen to when…when dad would be done with the beatings. She would turn it on to calm herself.” You stepped closer to him placing a hand on his cheek. These moments are rare for him. To speak freely about his past and bearing his heart out. So you try your best not to speak so he can get his thoughts out. “But when this played it brought me back to you, not at that time. You. It brought me to think how I never thought I could feel the way you make me feel y/n.”
You rubbed circles on his cheek, you just smiled tenderly at him. He grabbed your hand and led you to the center of the room. “What are you doing?” You giggled holding your son tighter.
Simon smiled down at you as he pressed you and your son close to his chest and rocked back and forth. You followed his lead. “I love you more than I can ever imagine.” He whispered placing his forehead against yours. “You have me a chance to be a father…to give my son a childhood.”
“Oh Simon,” You smiled placing a kiss on his lips. “I love you too Britain.”
La Cosa Nostra - Pt. 8
Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3 / Part 4 / Part 5 / Part 6 / Part 7
Cowritten w/ @janeyseymour
Summary: Sunday dinner brings unexpected news.
WC: 2.8k
Tumblr media
You practically have to pry both your daughters from Barbara and vice versa after breakfast. You promise the twins they'll see her again soon. Your wife promises Barb to do her best to make it before next Sunday.
You're home for much of the afternoon, unaware of the sudden lack of eyes following your every move. At least, for now. You entertain Cat and Rosie, reveling in the extra bit of twin time as you keep them out of the kitchen and thus out of your wife's way.
Sunday morning means church and breakfast with Barb and Gerald. Sunday evening means family dinner at Melissa’s mother’s. A much different affair than it had been when you'd picked the girls up from there earlier in the week. In the middle of the week, it rivals your own house. Relatively quiet aside from your twins and whatever they're getting into.
Tonight, the house is going to have a small handful of people in every room. Mel's large family is a decent portion of it but plenty of the kind of family neither of you are related to at all will be there too. The kind of family only had by the bond of the life you're all in. In reality, it'll probably be barely a fraction of that type of family too. The Schemmentis don't let just anyone in. A type of attitude that didn't begin with your wife, or even her mother.
Since they had to dress up a bit in Sunday best this morning, you compromise with the twins on their evening wear. You send them off to pick what they want to wear to Nonna's, reminding them that you might have to change a piece or two that they pick if it doesn't match. You mentally correct it to be when they don't match. You know they both will pick things from four different kinds of outfits to make into one. Still, it helps when they have some kind of input when you can let them.
You peek over Melissa’s shoulder as the twins are off in their room choosing. She's still busy packing up what you'll be taking over with you that she's made over the afternoon. As if she hasn't made enough to feed your own family three times.
You wrap your arms around her waist, kissing her cheek. “Lemme guess, the extra container is Sammy's branzino.” You mutter as you rest your chin to her shoulder.
“I ain't gonna let him say I ain't paid him. Not in front of Ma.” Melissa grumbles.
You squeeze your arms lightly around her. “His job ain't over yet, anyhow. I told him to be ready to sue the assholes for tearing up Twelve Tables once everything has been cleared.”
Melissa laughs. “Damn right, amore.”
You smile to hear her laugh. Seeing her a bit more at ease today has healed a bit of the stress and wear you've felt. You steal a kiss or two before you let her focus on making sure she's packed everything exactly how she likes.
“No more business talk, huh?” You say as you pull away. Family might be at the house tonight but Sundays are rest days. The one day of the week you don't have to worry like all the rest.
“Cat, you have to take a coat.” You sigh a few minutes later. Her little coat held in your hands as you all stood in the doorway, attempting to leave. You'd managed to get Rosie's on just fine but her sister refuses.
“Mam, the coat doesn't go!”
You look at your wife, a bit pointedly as you know exactly where this sudden phrase has been learned. Notoriously, Melissa is much more concerned with fashion than you are. You dress well, of course. It wouldn't do to be who you are and not dress well. Still, the phrase your daughter is echoing definitely didn't come with you.
“Sweetheart,” Your wife says, looking at your eldest twin. “You have blue in your outfit, don't you?”
Cat looks down, studying her outfit before looking back up to Melissa. “I do!”
“Then your purple coat goes with it. You don't want to be cold, especially when we leave Nonna's do you?
Reluctantly, Cat holds her little arms out to you to put her coat on. You kiss her small head in affection even if she'd been making you exasperated a few moments ago. “Thank you, A storin.” You whisper before taking both her and her sister's hand to walk to the car.
As much time as it took you to get little coats on is at most half the time it takes for them to be removed and dropped at your feet once you've walked into your mother-in-laws.
“No running!” You call after your girls that already aren't listening as they hurry to join their cousins to play. You sigh dramatically as you pluck little coats from the floor before trailing after your wife who has beelined for the kitchen.
You quickly say hello before putting the girls’ coats in the room that's designated theirs when they stay over. You know better than to linger in a Schemmenti kitchen when you haven't been asked to. Especially with more than one generation of Schemmenti women sharing it already.
You say hello and mingle with those who have beat you to the house already. Business and anything close to it doesn't surface at all. It's only talk of family and what everyone's kids are up to or in some cases what trouble they're getting into for the older ones.
It isn't until after dinner that things really settle. The various rooms of the house with small groups chatting quietly. You're sat on one of the couches in the living room, catching up with Kristen Marie when Melissa reappears, claiming the seat next to you. Instantly your arm wraps around her shoulders and your lips press a kiss to her temple.
“Next week it's your turn to do dishes after dinner.” She says to her sister as she leans against your side.
“It should be Mickey's.” Kristen Marie retorts. “I swear when he gets home I'm makin’ him do it every week.”
“Ya, good luck with Ma lettin’ him. You know she'll catch on a lot faster to him doin’ your chores than me doin’ ‘em. Just like when we were kids.”
“That was only ‘cause he was such a tattle tale, you know.”
“Hey, Y/N.”
You look away from the sisters to the figure calling for you. “Hey, Luca.” You greet easily as you look past your wife. “Did you just get here?” Your brow furrows as you realize you hadn't seen him earlier in the night. “You missed dinner.”
“I'm alright.” Luca assures, waving off your worry. “Can I steal ya for a minute?”
You nod, quickly kissing Melissa before you get up. “‘Course ya can.” You say as you follow him toward the kitchen.
You think he's going to fix a plate of the plentiful leftovers while you talk. It isn't unusual for the extended family of Italians to pick your brain about things. Even just for opinion. Melissa tells you it's because you're Irish. You grew up outside of all of this even if you still grew up in the life in your own way. Either way, you've never minded listening or talking things through with any of them.
Instead of stopping in the kitchen though, Luca keeps walking through it and steps into the family room. You trail after him, your brow furrowing. He really wasn't going to eat? That just wasn't normal for anyone in a Schemmenti house.
Once you step through to the family room, you realize you aren't alone. “Uncle Dom,” you greet the older man sat in one of the arm chairs just as easily as you had Luca. “How're you doin’?”
“Good, good, Y/N. I'm sorry to steal ya away from Mel. This'll just take a minute.” Uncle Dominic assures as he shakes your hand.
Luca closes the door that connects the room to the kitchen. Leaving just the three of you in the quiet room. You suddenly don't believe it will only be a minute. Luca remains near the door, his hands crossing at his waist as he stands patiently.
You sit in the other armchair at Uncle Dom's head nodding to it. You don't ask what's going on or what he wanted to speak to you for. You know not to press or hurry. The information is coming.
Uncle Dom sips from his wine glass before setting it back down. “I'll do this quick, like rippin’ a band aid, since you know I like ya, kid.” He says. His hand moves from the glass set down to fiddle with the head of the cane he's needed to start carrying the last two years or so as he's aged. “We're takin’ you off the salon.”
You blink. “I own the salon.” You answer lamely.
“Ya do.” Dom agrees. “But with everythin’ goin’ on right now, it's been decided that it's best if you ain't so…hands on.”
You sit stock still in your chair as you stare back at the older man. You're at a loss for words.
“You're to start actin’ like a…more silent partner from Monday on. Tony’ll take care of the day to day. You worry about your girls.”
You take a deep breath. “I own the salon.” you repeat, slowly leaning forward in your chair. Until your elbows rest against your knees. “And you're tellin’ me to act like Tony does?”
“For now. There's a lot of eyes, kid. It's better if you just stay home, worry about the twins.”
You bite your tongue, hard. You want to argue. You want to fight. Except you know better than to. It won't get you anywhere. This decision comes from higher than you and from more than one person, no doubt.
You push yourself up from the armchair. You don't bother saying anything else to Dom. “Oh, fuck off, Luca.” You mutter when he moves to open the door for you. You throw it open yourself as you storm past him.
You take your spot next to your wife again, as she watches your little girls play with her cousins, and she can immediately feel the tension radiating off of you.
“Mi amore?” She looks to you sharply, your nails just digging into her hip slightly as you take up your position again.
“We need to go, or I’m going to flip my God damn shit,” you whisper into her ear. “I don’t think you want me doing that in front of everybody.”
Melissa gathers the girls, and the four of you attempt an Irish goodbye- running out and leaving without anyone noticing. Somehow, someway, the only person that you run into is Dominic. You glare daggers at him and all but dare him to stop you. He raises his hands in surrender, and the four of you are in your car no sooner.
You absolutely blast the Disney songs through the speaker as you begin to curse in Irish at a rapid fire speed.
“Y/N,” Melissa squeezes your thigh as you drive. “What has you up in arms?”
“I’m going to fuckin’ kill ‘em,” you seethe.
The redhead rolls her eyes. “You couldn’t if you tried.”
“I’m going to,” you hiss. Then you switch to Italian, having run out of cuss words in your own tongue. And finally, you let out a, “Mother fucker!” as you slam your palm on the steering wheel.
Your wife’s brows raise as you continue to curse under your breath. She knows she’ll have to talk to you once she gets the kids to bed- because tonight you are clearly off of parental duties with the attitude you have now. You’re one minor inconvenience away from taking one of her baseball bats to someone’s car, and with the trouble you’re in right now you can’t afford it.
As you pull in, she sets a gentle hand on your upper thigh. “Let me take care of the girls tonight while you simmer on the couch,” she tells you. “Pour yourself a glass of wine, and try not to explode from your rage.”
You kill the engine and storm into the house, not even bothering to help your wife get the girls into the house.
“Mommy?” Rosie asks as you stomp into the house.
“Yes, my little love?” your wife asks as she climbs out of the car.
“Why didn’t Mam get me out?”
“Mam is a little frustrated,” the redhead tells your daughters. “She just needs some time to cool off.”
“Mam is more than a little frustrated,” Cat notes softly. “Mam is really mad.”
“Just let Mam be for now,” your wife tells your girls. “It’s time for the two of you to head to bed anyway.”
“But Mam is home, and I want her to read a bedtime story,” Rosie whines.
“Mommy can read a bedtime story,” Melissa tries to placate as she ushers the girls into the house and up towards their room.
“But Mam reads better!” Cat groans. “You don’t do the funny voices as good!”
Out in the kitchen, you can hear your girls moaning and groaning, and you sigh heavily. If you can’t have control of your business right now... Dom is right- you should focus on your girls. You do end up reading them a story, tucking them in with a few extra kisses for the night, and then you’re out in the kitchen downing at least two glasses worth of scotch.
“Honey,” Melissa wraps her arms around your waist as you throw the last of the liquor down the hatch, loving the way that it burns. “Slow down. You haven’t even told me what’s happening.”
“Dom and Tony are takin’ the business out from underneath me.”
“What?” Melissa asks, sounding as incredulous as you felt when you were first told. “They can't do that! You own it.”
You laugh as you pour yourself another glass. “The fuck they can't. You know as well as I do they can do whatever the hell they want.”
Melissa's hands reach from your waist to your own hands, still trying to get you to slow down. “Amore.”
You put both the glass and bottle down on the kitchen counter a bit harder than necessary. “I have done everything they asked.” You grit through your teeth. “From day one. Even when Bobby was still there. They trusted me more than him at the end of it. And this is what they pay me back with, huh? The hell do they think this is gonna solve? You think the Feds ain't gonna notice I'm all of a sudden not there?”
Melissa sighs at your shoulder, her hands rubbing along your arms to try and calm you. “You know they have some sorta story to feed them if it's asked about already, honey.” She says softly. She isn't trying to give more fuel to your fire, but it is true. You know it is. Nothing is done without being thoroughly thought through.
“Fuck.” You curse once more as you close your eyes. You let your weight lean back into your wife. Her arms wrapping around your waist again. “Is this what we chose?” You ask, your voice much quieter than it has been in the last hour aside from reading to your girls and kissing them goodnight. “We get taught and spout all this shit about family. You're family. You do it for the family. Nothin’ comes over the family. This don't feel like fuckin’ family.”
Melissa doesn't answer you. There isn't a clear cut one. It's a complicated life for even the average person. Add in the mix of mafia and mob and all that comes with them both and complicated is an understatement. Instead she keeps you close to her. One hand letting go of you in order to cap a bottle of scotch to carry as she guides you with the other back to your couch.
You curl in with her on the cushions. Trading the bottle back and forth. The silence of your home cuts only when your mind whirs back to life, and you're ranting your thoughts at her again. In turn, Melissa just pulls you closer to her each time, humming the confirmation of her listening.
Eventually, you end up laying down with Mel on your couch, tangled up together beneath the throw blanket. You raise your head, blinking at your wife for a few moments. You're definitely drunk. Even still, you think she's the most beautiful woman you've seen. “You're family, y’know? The kind everybody in this damn neighborhood wants to keep talkin’ ‘bout. That you do anything for. Nothin’ else above it, all that. It's you and the girls. That's it. The rest of ‘em can get fucked.”
<3
It was nearly seven, and you waited anxiously on your couch for Melissa to arrive. She had texted you after school to tell you she would pick you up, so you sat dressed and awaited her arrival. Out of nerves, you began playing with the edge of your dress, it was casual enough but still, made you look your best for her.
Although you were happy to finally have a date with Melissa, your mind was full to the brim with thoughts. Number one, she never told you where dinner was. Melissa just sent you a text that read, I’ll pick you up at seven, wear whatever makes you feel your best 😘, keeping the dinner plans to herself. Secondly, the events that led you to this very moment. Melissa’s pet name, everybody hearing it, and the kiss. Her kiss. She kissed you with so much care and want, you could only hope you would get to feel that again tonight.
Before you could drive yourself any crazier, there was a knock at your door. Straightening yourself out one last time for good luck, you opened the door and felt speechless. “Cat got your tongue?” Melissa teased you, bringing you back down to earth. “Sorry, you look…wow. Incredible,” you sheepishly replied, giving her another look over. Her fiery hair was full of waves, falling across her bare shoulders. All of her curves were accented perfectly by her black pantsuit, practically making you drool.
Once you met her eyes again, you realized she was eyeing you just as much, if not more. You felt your face heat up at the attention, feeling a sudden warmth in your stomach. “You don’t look too bad yourself babe. You ready?” Melissa finally spoke, offering her arm to you. She walked you to her car and opened your door for you. “Feeling chivalrous, are we?” You asked her with a smile. “I know how to treat my good girl,” Melissa said to you, but instead of a smile, she had a smirk across her face. Unfortunately, (or, perhaps fortunately), for you, Melissa somehow already knew all of your buttons to push. You silently wondered how long you would last through this date before becoming a needy puddle right in front of her.
“So, where are we going exactly?” You asked once on the road. Melissa took one of her hands off the wheel and rested it on your thigh, “Don’t worry about it kid.”
Before you knew it, you pulled up to a familiar driveway. “Did you forget something?” You asked, wondering why the two of you ended up back at Melissa’s. “No hon, we’re here.” She wasn’t taking you to dinner, she was making you dinner. Of course she was, honestly you should’ve expected it.
“Now, since you’re here, anything you see stays here, alright?” Melissa asked, stopping at her front door. You realized you had seen the outside of her house a few times, but never the inside. Nonetheless, you nodded your head in agreement and were led inside.
Immediately, you noticed all of the photos on her wall, but what took your attention was the dining room. Not only was it decorated so homey, but she had put in the effort to set the table, complete with flowers and candles.
“Mel, did you do all this for me?” You asked, turning to face her. She chose not to answer, instead giving you a small smile and looking back down at her feet. For the first time since you’ve met her, you saw Melissa nervous. You took her hand in yours and pulled her close to you, giving her a quick kiss to show your appreciation.
Without letting go of your hand, she led you to her kitchen, “Come sit in the kitchen while I cook, keep me entertained.” You do as she asked, pouring each of you a glass of wine and sitting yourself on her countertop. You watched Melissa meticulously, watching her dance around the kitchen getting ready to start dinner. You could tell this was her happy place, and you felt honored to be part of it.
“Can I taste the sauce you’re making?” You asked, finishing off your glass of wine. Melissa nodded and walked over to you with her spoon, blowing on it oh so gently. You reached out to take it from her, but she pulled back. Melissa used her free hand to gently open your legs to allow herself to be as close as possible, offering to feed you. “Good girl, always let me feed you,” she said as you closed your mouth around the spoon. “You have got to stop calling me that, Mel,” you said to her quietly. Of course, both of you knew you didn’t actually want her to stop. “You sure hon? Because the way your cheeks get red and you lose your words makes me think you like being called that,” Melissa said, pulling you by the hips so her front was flesh with your core. You were positive she could feel the throbbing coming from between your legs. She was warm against you, her hands squeezing just tight enough on your hips. This close, you got lost in her beautiful green eyes, getting a shade or two darker as she met your gaze.
“Hon?” Melissa’s voice interrupted your thoughts. Her hands pushed the edge of your dress up, rubbing circles on your inner thighs with her thumbs. “I’m sorry, am I distracting you?” She asked again, giving you the biggest smirk you’ve seen yet. “You know you are, Schemmenti. You’re quite good at that, y’know,” Melissa lightly laughed at your comment, “I’m quite good at a lot of things,” she replied, inching her fingers farther and farther up your thighs. “Oh yeah? Show me,” You told her, pulling her in to a deep kiss. The feeling of her fingers finding their way closer between your legs made you moan into Melissa’s mouth.
Melissa used her middle finger to gently rub between your folds, groaning at the wetness she could already feel. “All this for me, huh baby?” She teased you. Your hips bucked towards her, begging for more. “Melissa, please,” you begged between kisses.
She trailed wet kisses from your lips down your jaw, whispering in your ear, “use your words baby.” Melissa pulled the fabric of your underwear to the side and slowly ran her fingers between you. “God Mel, fuck me. Please fuck me.” You didn’t care how pathetic you sounded, you couldn’t care when Melissa was touching you this way. “Attagirl,” She said, gently pushing a finger inside you. She was fast to add another, quickening her pace and making you come completely undone right on her kitchen counter.
“Melissa I-“ You tried to speak, “I’m so close baby.” You felt her curl her fingers harder, move them faster. “Let go hon, I’ve got you,” Her breath was hot against your neck, her lips even hotter. When she nipped at your pulse point you were done for, clenching around her fingers and arms wrapped around her for dear life. “Such a good girl you are, my good girl,” Melissa cooed, giving you gentle kisses as you caught your breath.
“We should’ve done this sooner,” you smiled at her, still panting from earlier. “Yeah, a lot sooner,” Melissa said. Her smile was even bigger than yours as she gently picked you up off the counter and pulled you back to cook with her.
TOO LATE — A. ANDERSON.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
summary. abby cant say she fell for you at the same pace you fell for her, but when she did, it was too late for it to matter.
mentions of blood + death | light spoilers | some angst | no gender specified | most def not proofread
note. angst is NOT my strong suit and i only got this idea because i replayed the part where she beats the shit out of ellie in the theatre basement, idk where my thoughts went after that.
word count. 2.4k
Tumblr media
you were always there for her, weren’t you? she couldn’t recall all the times when she was alone, dealing with things on her own - you were in too many memories for her to count.
when her dad died, you were there besides her when owen wasn’t, and when she called things with owen, you were there too. during her late nights when nightmares would take away her sleep and panic would settle in her chest you were always there to hold her hand and guide her through it.
if she had to put it simple, you were the light she was looking for when she was lost in the darkness. though, when she finally put it together and realized this, it was far too late.
she never fully comprehended why her heart would beat days after things stopped with owen, the same rapid beating she would have even when she was with him — it wasn’t the same she felt when she was afraid, or when she would kiss owen. it was a delightful feeling, a spark lighting up in her body whenever your hands would touch, whenever you would hug her or smile at her.
your laugh was euphoric, she was addicted and yet she couldn’t comprehend why. maybe that was the reason she ended things with owen, he just wasn’t you, but she couldn’t comprehend thinking about you like that. you were just a friend, weren’t you?
you certainly thought of her as more, the reason for you always being there for her was because of your absolute fascination with her. her eyes, her laugh, the way she would always go above and beyond for what she stood for. she was the other end of your magnet, always pulling you towards her and yet you could never seem to fully connect as you longed for.
despite that, you stayed with her. you couldn’t leave her alone, you made it clear that you loved her and cared for her whenever you got the chance, and even if she couldn’t match the same and only saw your actions as friendly, you knew she cared a lot about you too. she was grateful for you, after all these years.
you were with her when abby and the group went to jackson to get joel - though you had the same mindset about killing the man as mel, you were still with her. you were still there, as she killed the man in front of ellie, and you were still there, making eye contact with the girl as she was knocked out.
you were with her when you, abby, and manny got called up to the fob, and you went with her when she set out to get owen after finding out he went awol - begrudgingly, of course, you wanted to make sure she was safe, and owen was your friend as much as anyone else was. you couldn’t sit back and leave him for whatever hell was out there, not when you could go with abby and do something about it.
you were with her when you found owen and got caught up with some scars - you took care of them, though you couldn’t have stayed with her for long. she began to get reluctant when it came to letting you out with her, practically begging you to stay behind at the aquarium where it was safe.
it was no different this time when her reluctance got worse, yelling at you when you tried going out with her and yara to get lev after he ran off to the island for their mother. everything was crashing on her, her exchange with owen and mel separately being too much as it is, and losing sight of lev made it worse. the last thing she needed was to lose you too.
the look in your eyes were watery, her yells getting under your skin. regardless, like always, you went with her words and wished her the best of luck, demanding she get back safe and leaving her in the damp hallway alone. she couldn’t find you before she had to leave, and she did her best to push that heavy weight in her chest to the side and get what she needed done.
she would make it up to you once she got back, she silently promised you that.
she would never get to do that though, her time on the island obviously kept her preoccupied - throughout her adventures, she couldn’t have known about the girl following her tracks to act out her revenge plan.
there was no way abby could have known that ellie had killed owen and mel, and now she had you tied to a chair in that same damp room where their bodies laid.
the bruises on your body ached with every movement, the knife dug into your knee left you still so the pain couldn’t get worse. your hair was in ellie’s hand via fisthold, forcing your eyes to connect to hers. your blood on her face from when you spat in it, which had only angered her more and led to that knifes current location.
her eyes were demanding, not the same as the broken ones you had seen back in jackson that day abby killed joel - they were filled with rage, red with anger and you knew there wasn’t going to be any mercy in this for you. “i’m going to ask you one more time, where the fuck is she?”
“go fuck yourself, mel gave you that information, and you fucking killed her.” ellie’s face crinkled up in disgust towards your response and towards herself, she knew she had killed a pregnant lady, but having you in this chair with valuable information she could pry out of you was overriding those emotions.
with a grunt, she roughly pushed your head to the side, hand going down to the knife in your knee - with a quick flick of her wrist, your kneecap was popped off. your screams bounced off the walls, hitting your ears as quick as they left your mouth. “go to hell.” you sobbed, eyes squinting and glaring at her through the damp hair dangling in your face.
“no other place for me to go, bitch, but i’m not going empty handed.” she stood up and left the room and, desperately, you gathered what strength you had left to try and find a way out of the chair.
there was too much going on in your body right now, too much pain and blood pouring from your wounds. the taste of iron was heavy in your mouth and you fought to keep your eyelids open, the tips of your fingers already going cold and numb.
there wasn’t enough time for you, and you knew this. no matter what you did, you were going to die anyway. there was no trace of mercy in that girls eyes, and yet you knew that’s exactly how abby had looked when she had ellie in this same position - helpless, watching those merciless eyes take the life of someone they held dear. except, ellie didn’t have abby beaten to a bloody pulp in front of you, she had you instead.
and as if on cue, your feeble attempts to free yourself landed you on the ground, your head slamming against the cold and wet tile of the aquarium floor. you laid in blood, though you couldn’t tell if it was your own or the blood that came from the bodies of your two dead friends. the thought had your eyes watering once again and you fought the tears away with constant blinks.
there was no use crying, not anymore.
it didn’t hurt to reminisce while you had these last few moments, unbothered and not having a knife enter and leave your body in different areas since ellie wasn’t in the room to do that for you. you thought back to the moments when you met abby, met the others and all the times in between that brought the best memories you could’ve made in any life. you thought about what you could’ve done different, and the what if’s.
what would’ve been if you hadn’t walked off on abby’s reluctance. if you had been able to just give her one last hug, to feel her embrace.
the thoughts ended as the door opened and the hasty steps echoed towards you. your eyes moved away from ellie’s approaching figure to the puddle you laid on. your reflection made you chuckle, how horrible you looked with your beaten and bloody face, the swollen eye and cuts lining your cheeks.
“i don’t see what’s so funny.” ellie spat, and you finally looked up at her, eyes tracing her figure down to the pipe that she held in her hand. she brought it more towards your face as if to show it off, and you knew exactly how she was going to finish the job. “i just look like shit,” you coughed out, pausing to catch your breath through a few heavy heaves. ellie rose a brow, bringing the pipe upwards.
“i just wanted to let you know, you look like shit too.”
the sound of metal slamming against the surface echoed through the hallways, and abby’s heavy breathing along with lev’s followed in unison. they had made it back, but something seemed off, and abby knew it, there was a quick pace in her steps, the rapid sound of her heartbeat echoing in her ears from worry.
you, owen, and mel knew how to take care of yourselves. the aquarium was blocked up nice and secure, wasn’t it? even then, you guys would have the upper hand in a quarrel, wouldn’t you? alice was there to protect you as well, being the best guard dog and companion she was, right?
well, abby wasn’t too sure after that, seeing as alice was laying on the ground with a trail of blood next to her body. the weapon used to do the damage wasn’t to be found, but it already sounded the alarms in abby’s head. lev had stayed close to her, ready to help defend the pair if anything were to happen, though nothing came to his immediate alert but the tension radiating off the woman in front of him.
cautiously, abby and lev trekked through the rooms which had obviously been scavenged through, proof someone else had been here. what really set this in stone, however, was the blood pouring into the hallway from the main room.
all thoughts in abby’s mind gathered together into one possibility - that it was someone else’s blood, and you, owen, and mel had been able to defend yourselves. it had to be just that, right? with how trained you and owen were, and if anything were to have happened that either of you got hurt, mel would be there to patch you guys up.
but the make shift operating room hadn’t been touched since yara’s operation, but that shouldn’t push the idea down all the way, right? you had to be okay, right? it wasn’t a question in abby’s mind, it was a focus. you were okay, and that’s what she kept telling herself as she pushed the door open.
and like any other time she needed you, there you were, ellie’s body next to yours in a heap of unmovable flesh. you were breathing, but barely, and yet you were able to give abby that same smile you always gave her. “i’m so.. sorry abby. i couldn’t help them, im sorry.” you broke down, arms going limp and chest rising and setting rapidly with your sobs. abby looked, heart breaking at the sight of mel and owens body a few paces away from yours. she fought back the nausea, but not the tears. you were okay, you were alive and she needed to get you medical attention.
without hesitation, after collecting what little she could, she basically threw herself at you. she gathered you in her arms, examining your wounds and being careful not to push you more than your body could handle. it was apparent you had lost a lot of blood, and she couldn’t let herself postpone anymore time when it could be used to start helping you.
though, she couldn’t help the rapid whispers of, “i’m so fucking glad you’re okay,” and, “i love you.”
at least, that’s what should’ve happened, if she hadn’t opened the door to see your battered and mangled body instead. her eyes trailed to the pipe laying a few feet away, bloodied footsteps trailing out to a door on the opposite end of the room. all at once, abby’s world crashed down on her.
your body, plus the bodies of her two friends, laying cold and lifeless on the floor. “fuck…” she breathed, the nausea taking control and leaving her helpless to falling to the ground and throwing her guts up. then, the tears came. she sobbed and wailed and lev felt useless to the woman as she let her emotions go.
it was painful to watch someone who seemed so held together break, but it was understandable. lev had lost yara, and given the chance he would’ve reacted the same way if he had time, so watching abby break her barriers completely and sluggishly crawl over to your body, still attached to that damn chair, wasn’t so hard to mold into sympathy.
abby undid your ties, catching your body as it rolled over sideways, feeling how limp you were in her arms. she gathered you upwards, brushing hair out of your face and bringing a hand to wipe away the blood off your lips. your eyes were open, terrifyingly still and lacking their usual light, but they were glossed over and stared right into abby.
with a heavy sob, she took one last look into your eyes, and brought her hand to carefully close them, knowing she would never wake up to them again. knowing that the light in her dark was burnt out, and that she would have to go the rest of her days without your presence, your attentive nature, and your love.
your love, she knew, was what she was going to miss the most. she came to regret never giving it back to you, hating herself that it took a small argument to draw the promise she would do better for you, and she would never get the chance to. it was too late.
but in this moment, as she started to gather herself after lev called out for her, there was only one thing she hated more than her lack of compassion.
ellie, and she swore to you that she was going to kill that son of a bitch - it wasn’t too late for that, at least.
can you do 4 and 5 for the smutty one liners pls!!!
Ok so I changed this up a bit- hinting at smut towards the end.
Exes and Ohs
“Another!” Ava calls the bartender as you take a breath, downing your third shot. Janine roped everyone into going out for an evening for Jacobs birthday because in one way or another, everyone had a soft spot for him. Now you’re buzzed around your co workers.
Being buzzed around your co workers wasnt the best idea, especially when there was a strange electric tension between you and a certain redhead. Melissa stands at a high table with Barb and Zack nursing whatever brown liquor she liked. You clench your jaw and grip the shot glass with white knuckles.
“Girl chill, I ain’t paying for broken glasses.” Ava snaps you out of it. “You two need to bone and get it over with.”
“What are you talking about?” You laugh. “She can’t stand me.”
Ava rolls her eyes lifting another shot glass to her lips. “Get your eyes checked. Have fun sulking over here.”
With that, she walks away leaving you with your shot glass. There’s no way Melissas into you. She was always short with you and hardly ever said a word, even when she did it was prompted by Barb.
You blow out a breath and turn around heading to the table top, mint prevalent on your tongue from the drink.
“Y/n! Come here,” Jacob calls, wrapping his arm around your shoulders in a side hug. When you come up to the table you meet the redheads eyes, her gorgeous eyes youd like to get lost in, but as quick as you meet them she’s looking away from you, whispering something to Barb before she goes to the bar.
You stand there listening to everyone’s conversation, Jacob telling a funny story about him and Zack as you eye Melissa’s frame while she leans against the bar waiting for a drink. As she waits, you see a man walk up to her. One she doesn’t look to pleased with. You keep an eye on her, your ears peeking up when you hear Barb.
“Oh no.”
“Is that the ex husband?” You ask quirking a brow.
When you watch Melissa’s hand ball into a fist and the man get right in her face you move across the floor like there’s a trail of fire behind you. Melissa being Melissa, doesn’t back down.
“You’re an asshole, joe!”
Coming up to the two you wrap your arm around Melissa’s waist pulling her back to put yourself between her and the man. With your shoulders back and your chin up, you meet the man’s eyes with a quirked brow. He was clearly already drinking elsewhere before he got here.
“Why dont you go sit down before you get yourself into trouble, little man.”
You feel a warm hand on the center of your back that sends a shiver up your spine. You’d never ever touched Melissa before and she never touched you.
You keep your chin up as Joe laughs, sizing you up before he looks over your shoulder at his ex wife. “Wow, Mel, what a downgrade” he wobbles slightly and your jaw clenches.
You can’t help but let out an actual laugh. “I don’t know what you’re thinking but I can’t imagine having a woman like Melissa and fumbling that hard. Like, wow.” You laugh this time at him. “Go sleep it off, dumbass.”
Melissa smirks, grabbing your arm pulling you towards the hall that leads to the bathrooms ignoring the group that was watching. You’re sure you hear Ava booing the guy.
Your heart is pounding. You’re sure you fucked up.
“Melissa I’m sorry, that wasn’t any of my business but I couldn’t stand him being in your face like that he-“
Melissa pulls you into the bathroom cutting you off. luckily you were the only ones in there.
“Hon, what the hell was that?” She laughs crossing her arms leaning against the counter.
You eye the woman, relieved she isn’t pissed. “Wait, so you’re not mad? Because I thought you hated me all year.”
“Hate you? Why would I hate you? You’re nothin but nice to everyone. It’s almost sick.” She teases you. “I did try to avoid you though.”
“Why?” You ask bewildered.
“It’s not obvious?” She asks taking a step forward, so close you can smell her perfume.
“No,” you laugh, “I legitimately thought you hated me. You only talk to me if it’s a group activity or Barb is there too. Plus I’m-“
Before you can finish your sentence warm hands cup your cheeks while soft lips meet yours. It takes you a moment to register what’s happening, but when you do you melt against the older woman wrapping your arms around her waist.
You break the kiss with a dazed smile keeping your arms around her.
“You know you could’ve done that a lot sooner than-“
Melissa stokes your cheek with her thumb pecking your lips.
“Staying quiet has never been your strong suit, huh?” She teases.
You take a page out of her book smirking, a warmth spreading through you.
“Make me shut up then.”
The red head meets your smirk with her own leading you out of the bathroom. Walking back to the table to grab your things everyone gives you knowing looks including the ever subtle Ava.
“Bout damn time!”
Chapter 5 - "I thought you didn't like me"
Note: This chapter is completely unrevised. I just spewed words into a word document until I couldn't come up with anything else. I hope you guys enjoy it at leas a bit.
Warnings: TW: emetophobia, throwing up, just fluff
Chapter 5
You go up to your apartment and start looking for something to wear for your date. It is only 12pm and the date is not for another 7 hours but you can’t contain your excitement. You know is just at her house but you still want to impress her. You love when Melissa looks at you like you are the 8th wonder of the world. You finally decide on some leather pants with a tight v neck top that will definitely make her imagination wander. You do your make up differently than how she is used to, you dont really wear your sharpest wing liner for school, but you will definitely will for her.
You sit in in your couch and anxiously wait for it to be time to drive to the redhead’s house. God you cant wait to be around her. She is like a drug to you, the good kind, but still a drug, when you are with her it feels like you are on a high and when you leave her you feel empty.
The clock hits 6 and you decide its time to head to the flower shop and get her a pretty bouquet with her favorite flowers. On the way out you also pass by an Italian bakery and get her a tiramisu. (You had searched the whole internet in order to find the best tiramisu in South Philly because she deserves nothing but the best. Also because she will accept nothing but the best when it comes to Italian cuisine).
You pull up into her drive way and nervously make your way to her door. Your hands are sweaty and your eye might be slightly twitching. It is your first official date with the redhead and yes you have been with her before, but she still makes you tremble.
After knocking a few times you notice that she is not answering, you begin to panic as you think that maybe she panicked and doesn’t want to see you anymore. After a few seconds, you can hear her coming towards the door and your smile lights up. Once she opens it, your smile drops and concern washes all over your face. She greets you in a low voice “hi hon”, she looks so pale and her make up is a little messed up but you know better than to point that out.
“Hi love, are you okay?” - you ask her concerned but you know that she won’t admit to whatever is happening with her
“Great now that you are here” - she softly kisses your lips “You look beautiful” she says in a soft tone
“Are you sure you are okay?” - you said setting down the tiramisu on her table and handing her the flowers.
“Got a pretty girl and flowers just as beautiful, why wouldn’t I be” - she says smirking but you can tell that she doesn’t feel good
“Come on, I gotta put the lasagna in the oven” - she grabs you by the waist and leads you to her kitchen
She is still in the clothes from this morning and you can tell that she has had no time to do anything.
She starts putting the lasagna in the oven and you just look at her, you know that whatever is going on, she will tell you when she has to. Watching her cook is like watching an artist paint, she does it so gracefully, so confidently, so sexy.
You are in a daze looking at her when she slams the door of the oven and runs to the restroom. You are left confused and follow her but she has the door locked.
“Melissa are you okay” - you ask while knocking on the door, hoping that she will open and let you in.
“Yup, be right there hon” - she says before she turns the fan on so you cant hear anything else
“Melissa, are you sick? Open this door right now” - you demand
Everything goes silent and after 5 mins or so, she opens the door, looking even paler than before and her looking obviously weak.
“Mel, whats going on? Why don’t you wanna tell me you are sick? I could hear you throwing up!”
Melissa stands there, looking upset at herself for giving away the fact that she was not feeling well, she didn’t want to ruin your first official date, or have you feel grossed out by her constantly puking, she just wanted to give you the perfect night and in her head everything was ruined.
“I just… didn’t want to ruin this whole night” - she said while looking down, unable to face you as if she just had committed a crime. “I got some kind of food poisoning, these chili cheese fries from the fair did a number on me, the owner will be getting an earful from this Schemmenti”
You look at her, grinning at how she thought she could ever ruin this night. “Mel, you could never ruin any moment I get to spend by your side, even if its holding your hair and stroking your back while you vomit”
“You sweet girl, but the lasagna…”
You cut her off “I will take the lasagna out of the oven and make you a soup, you wont be eating any pasta tonight ma’am”
“But…” - she complains
“I know you are Italian but meat and marinara sauce won’t help your case”
“Thats not what my Nonna said” - she playfully says
“Now go lay down while I make you a soup and then I will run you a bath” - you order her
“Huh I thought I was the bossy one” - she says under her breath
“What was that?” - you raise your eyebrow
“That you are so pretty, I’ll feel better if you give me a kiss” - Melissa says while biting her lower lip and pulling you close by the waist. The kiss is slow and tender, like you wish it was medicine that would cure her. You hold her close for a while, her head in your chest. God, nobody knows how much you love this woman, not even her, even you are scared of all this feelings.
“Come on, go lay down”
“But I’m so comfy in your arms” - she complains
“Alright how about I order you a soup instead and that way I can run a bath for both of us?”
She looks up and her face lights up “That sounds wonderful, y/n” “But make sure you order from Rossi’s because Lombardi’s soup totally sucks and they owe my cousin money and I’ll never hear the end of it if he finds out I’m eating their food”
You give her a confused look, she always talks about all these funny business her family is involved in and while it should probably scare you, you actually find it endearing.
“Of course, Mel” - you tell her with a soft smile and plant a kiss on her forehead.
Melissa goes up to her bedroom to lay down and you pull out your phone and order her a chicken noodle soup from Rossi’s, weird thing to order from an Italian restaurant but you are not going to fight her on this one.
It is going to be 50 mins before the soup arrives, so you turn the oven off for the time being and start running a bath. You look around her bathroom and throw in the water whatever salts and baths products you could find. Once it is ready you go to her room to let her know. You help her get up and lead her to the restroom.
“Hon, I am not in my deathbed, it is just food poisoning, I can walk” - she says teasing you but deep inside she enjoys that you are babying her
“I know, but I like taking care of you”, “What do you say I help you get out of these clothes”
“Not even going to get me dinner first?” - she smirks
“Actually did, Schemmenti, so now you are at my mercy”
“Sounds like something I would like”
You both laugh and you plant a chaste kiss on her lips while softly removing her clothes. Each piece you take off reveals more of her skin, you cant help but appreciate every inch of her body while she attentively watches you. For Melissa, this is like nothing she's ever felt before. She's soaking up all the love and care, loving the way you're checking her out with both softness and a whole lot of desire at the same time. It's like you've cranked up the affection dial to the max, and she's eating it up. It is just one of your first dates and you have already reached a level of intimacy that she had never felt comfortable having with anyone before.
As Melissa eases herself into the warm embrace of the bathwater, seeking solace from the discomfort that accompanies food poisoning, she finds a brief respite from the relentless waves of nausea and unease. The soothing water wraps around her body like a gentle hug, offering a momentary escape from the physical distress she has been grappling with.
“Well you did promise you were going to get in with me, hon, stop watching me and let me see you”
Following her playful command, you start undressing, and with each piece of clothing you remove, she watches attentively, showering you with praises and sultry smiles. The atmosphere becomes charged with mutual attraction.
“I thought it was this bath making me feel better, but holy shit hon, looking at you can cure any ache I might have, com’here” - she says and you blush at the words of adoration come out of her mouth
You settle yourself behind her, feeling her entire body pressed against you and you think to yourself that if you were going to die today, you would do so happily. You have this beautiful woman in in your arms and her skin is on yours, and her hair is all over your chest and all you can smell is her scent and the entire world has disappeared. For you, nothing else exists, only you and Melissa in that bathtub.
“Thank you” - she says while holding both your hands over her stomach. “Thank you for taking care of me even though I ruined our date, hon”
“Does it look like I’m having a bad time, Schemmenti?” - you jokingly say as you caress her stomach and kiss her hair.
The surface tension of the bathwater adds a unique dimension to the moment, heightening the sensations and creating a deep intimate experience. Fingers trace tender patterns across skin, leaving a trail of heightened sensitivity in their wake. The aromatic notes bath oils linger in the air, yet all you can smell is her. You are intoxicated by her.
Your fingers trace all over her freckles as if you were playing some kind of connect the dots game. Melissa feels content and safe in your arms, she feels as if she could make a home out of you. She becomes overwhelmed by all these feelings forming in her chest, but it all comes to a halt while you suddenly whisper something in her ear.
“I love you, Mel”
She turns around and looks at you with an unreadable expression in her face. You don’t know what she is thinking and waves of anxiety travel all throughout your body, a knot forming in your stomach. Your throat feels like you are about to cry and you cannot allow yourself to make a fool out of yourself in front of this woman, not more than you already have.
In that moment the bell rings and you quickly get out of the bathtub and wrap yourself in a robe to go open the door and receive the soup that you ordered for her with such love and care. You close the door after the dasher leaves, sighing to yourself, you set the container down in the kitchen aisle and lean over it with your hands in your face. You cannot believe you allowed such words to come out of your mouth, you knew it was too soon, you know Melissa had barely started to open up, you knew she wasn’t going to accept this level of commitment so quicky, you feel so dumb and so small, standing in her kitchen, embracing yourself tightly, whimpering like a wounded dog.
Suddenly you feel arms wrap around your body, you can smell her scent and feel her warm cheek on your neck “Hon, I -“ She begins to say.
“Melissa stop, you don’t.. you don’t have to say anything” - you say before she can complete her sentence “I got caught up in the moment, we were there, and it was so nice, it felt so good, to be so close to you, to take care of you, to have you on me, it was all amazing and I…”
Melissa interrupts you by turning you around and putting a finger on your lips “Shh, do you think I would ever let anyone this close to me if I didn’t love them?”
Your eyes widen and you stay silent for a moment, you are trying to process the words that have just come out of her mouth.. is she? Is she in love with you too?.. This is what you were hoping to hear but you didn’t expect it, you were upset at her reaction not the lack of reciprocation.
“Someone got your tongue?” - she grins as she brings you closer to her and starts kissing you ever so softly, her hands grabbing your waist and pulling you into her.
You look at her, eyes glistening from the tears that are barely forming at the declaration of love, your face lights up and you can’t form any coherent words “Do you..do..”
“I love you, I love you ya goof” - she pulls you closer to her and you feel like you just got a piece of heaven between your arms
“Now heat up that lasagna and lets eat, cant have a hungry night nurse” - she says as she separates herself from you and goes sit at her kitchen table, waiting for you to serve her.
“Night nurse?” - you raise your eyebrow at her
“Well you can’t leave this patient alone at night, you gotta stay over, play more of that connect the dots game you were so into earlier” - she winks at you and you can visibly see she feels better.
Oh you will be staying tonight, and you will be doing way more than tracing patters on her skin.
Ellie is all too excited as she eats her breakfast, wiggling with glee, as she tells you about how good she was for your girlfriend during church and how she was so surprised to see her father with you at the coffee shop.
You do your best to remain present with everything that your daughter is saying, but that’s proving to be hard when the ten minutes that Melissa requested for were up and she wasn’t knocking at your door. She was almost never late when she told you she would be to your apartment in a given amount of time. It’s also particularly hard to keep your focus on your daughter when your abdomen is absolutely on fire. You choose your eyes are a particularly bad cramp tears its way through your body, and when you open them Ellie is watching you curiously.
“Are you okay, Momma?”
You nod and smile at her with as much sincerity as you can muster up at this given time. “I’m okay, baby. Just bad cramps. You know how sometimes they like to sneak up on me.”
Your little girl nods in understanding, and you quietly pray that she isn’t also cursed with terrible PMS like you are. “Should I get Miss Mel?”
“It’s okay, hun,” you chuckle. “Momma can handle herself.”
“Cuddles will help?” Ellie suggests.
You roll your eyes at her suggestion. “Of course they will. Ellie girl cuddles always fix everything.”
“I know, Momma!” Your daughter’s eyes light up and she beams at you as though she had just figured out how to make pigs fly. She pulls you to the couch and forces you to recline back before she curls into your hold.
“Oh wait!” she pops back up and heads into the back hallway for a few seconds before you see her coming back out with your heating pad. She hands it to you with a shy smile.
You kiss her head softly, eyes welling with tears at her thoughtful consideration. “Thank you, sweet girl.”
You plug it in and press it to your stomach before she settles herself next to you again.
“I love you, Momma,” she whispers.
“I love you too, little girl,” you tell her. “I will always love you, no matter what. My sweet, strong girl.”
She grins at you toothily. “I know I telled Daddy Mel was my favoritest person in the world… but I think I lied.”
“Oh?” you look down at her.
“It’s you,” she says softly as she snuggles into your side before reaching for the remote and turning on the television.
“You’re my favoritest person in the whole world too, my little love bug,” you promise her with a kiss to her beautifully braided hair (thanks to Melissa).
Only once you’ve relaxed just a bit with the warmth from both the heating pad and your daughter does your body’s fight or flight response quit and you realize just how much it took out of you to confront your ex-husband. After only a few minutes of watching the Disney movie Ellie chose to watch, you end up dozing.
Dozing is a phrase to be used lightly, because when you wake up again, your little girl is no longer in your embrace, the heating pad has been switched out for a hot water bottle, and an entirely different Disney movie plays on your television than the one you had fallen asleep to.
You blearily open your eyes, and you can smell something on the stovetop that can only be a product of your girlfriend. Groaning as you stand and keeping the hot water bottle in your clutch, you make your way to the kitchen where Melissa has Ellie on her hip as she stirs whatever contents are in the pot.
You watch the two of them with soft and loving eyes for a few seconds before pulling out one of the barstools and making your presence known.
The redhead turns around at the sound. “Hey. When I came in you were asleep, and I knew El would be getting hungry soon.”
“I’m helping Mel make chicken noodle soup!” your daughter squeals from your girlfriend’s hip.
“You are,” Melissa kisses Ellie’s cheek before setting her down. “Why don’t you go grab the celery from my apartment, little miss?”
The little girl nods excitedly before racing off.
The woman shakes out her arm and cracks her hip. “I think I need to pull up a chair for her next time… she’s getting a little too big for me to cook and hold her at the same time.”
You chuckle softly at her. “Yeah. She’s growing up before my eyes.”
“How’re you feeling?” the redhead asks as she makes her way over to you.
“Like I’m being stabbed repeatedly in the uterus,” you tell her. “Thank you for the hot water bottle, by the way.”
She frowns. “You felt okay enough to go meet your husband though.”
“Ex-husband,” you correct.
“You still met him,” your girlfriend reminds you.
You sigh. “I did.”
“You lied to me,” she says dully, and you can hear the way that she’s trying to hide her hurt feelings.
“I didn’t lie to you, Mel,” you tell her. “I really don’t feel great.”
“Why didn’t you tell me you decided to respond? That you were meeting with him?” she asks, and you can tell she’s trying to keep her temper at bay.
You bite your lip. “Because I knew you would get all protective, and I can handle myself when it comes to him. Besides, I didn’t think that he would be such an ass… I was kind of hoping he would just hand me a check for the child support he owes me and we would go our separate ways.”
“Did he?”
You huff. “No. I told him that if I didn’t have the money in hand by the end of the month that I would get a lawyer. I was going to storm out when I ran into you two.”
Melissa just nods thoughtfully before Ellie comes running back into your apartment with the requested vegetable in hand. “Thank you, sweetheart,” your girlfriend smiles. “Great job. I think I have it from here because it’s just chopping up the celery and letting everything simmer, so why don’t you go play in your room while I take care of your momma?”
Your daughter beams at the praise and nods before raising her arms. Of course, your girlfriend obliges and lifts her onto her hip. Ellie presses a quick kiss to the redhead’s cheek and squeezes her gently before wiggling to get down again. She then comes to you and carefully winds her arms around you. And then she’s off giggling to herself about whatever make-believe game she was planning on playing.
Melissa chops and dices the celery quietly and deep in thought before throwing it into the pot.
You finally break the tension. “Mel, I’m sorry I didn’t tell you.”
She turns to you at that. She just shrugs. “Whatever.”
“Honey,” you sigh as you shuffle off of the barstool. You stumble slightly.
“Hey,” she catches you quickly. “Take it easy.”
“I’m sorry,” you whisper as you wrap an arm around her waist. “I’m really sorry. I didn’t mean to lie to you. I didn’t mean to make you so angry at me that you needed time to yourself to calm down after we got home.”
She takes a deep breath as she guides you back to your chair. “Hun, I’m not gonna lie… I wasn’t pleased to see you out and about, especially with him.”
“I know,” you mumble.
“But I get why you did what you did,” Melissa tells you gently. “And I ain’t mad… not anymore.”
You sigh a breath of relief.
“I told you I needed ten minutes, and that ten turned into twenty while I found the ingredients to make you soup,” she lets you know. “I still came over, I’m still taking care of you because it’s clear you really aren’t feeling well… don’t think I didn’t miss the way you nearly doubled over in pain at the shop.”
You smile at her gently. “I don’t know what I did to deserve you.”
She just rolls her eyes and kisses you softly. Then she tells you, “If you need a lawyer to get the child support, I know a guy. Just let me know, babe.”
The next time Jared messages you, you tell Melissa immediately. You tell her so immediately in fact, that you accidentally interrupt her science lesson with the kids.
“Miss Y/N?” she raises a brow. “I am in the middle of teaching.”
“I know, I know,” you apologize. “But just…” you hand her your phone.
She glances at it before closing her eyes and pinching the bridge of her nose. “We’ll deal with this later, okay?”
You nod. “Sorry. Continue on with your lesson.”
At lunch, you settle down in the staff room while she heats up your lunches.
“So, what are you going to do?”
“I guess take Ellie to the park today?” you shrug. “But come with me?”
She taps at her phone before groaning. “I have a meeting with Tyrone’s parents, but I’ll meet you there after?”
You end up walking down to the park with your daughter as she tells you all about the different things she had done today in first grade.
“I’m so glad you’re loving first grade, baby,” you smile down at her as she swings your hand with hers.
“I do,” she nods seriously. “But I do miss Mrs. Howard.”
“You still see Mrs. Howard all the time when she hangs out with Mel.”
‘Sn’t the same,” Ellie shrugs. And then when the two of you approach the park, she breaks out into the biggest grin at the sight of Jared.
“Daddy!” She drops your hand and runs for him. He lifts her up immediately with that sparkling smiles of his, and you catch up a few seconds later.
“Thanks for letting me have this one, babe,” he smirks at you.
You glare at him. “Don’t call me that.”
“Yeah,” Ellie pipes up. “Only Mel gets to call Momma that now.”
Jared looks to your daughter. “Oh?”
“Well, they are dating,” your daughter shrugs. Then she focuses her attention on the swings. “Push me on the swings?”
He takes her over immediately and gives her a big push on the playground equipment. Ellie giggles with glee the entire time. Then she runs off to go play with a few of the other kids that have made their way to the park after school, and you and your ex-husband find a bench to sit on while you watch her.
“So,” he looks you up and down.
You huff. “Screw off. I’m only doing this for my daughter.”
“Ours,” he corrects.
You fire out, “I’m still waiting for my child support check.”
“About that,” he rubs the back of his neck.
“Jared, I wasn’t kidding when I told you that if I didn’t have the money in hand by the end of the month I would sue your sorry ass.”
He raises his hands in surrender. “Okay, damn. Where was this fire when we were married? It makes you way hotter.”
“Oh, eat my shit.” You turn your attention to where your daughter is running around playing tag. You can tell she’s tiring herself out- at least she’ll sleep well tonight.
You don’t bother to speak to Jared again until Ellie comes running over to you. She immediately climbs into your lap and snuggles up against you.
“Momma, I’m hungry.”
“Okay, baby,” you brush a few of the flyaways away from her face. “We’ll start heading home so Momma can cook dinner then.”
“Can Daddy come?”
As much as you want to tell your little girl that he is not welcome in your new living space, the hopeful look that she’s giving you is too much. “If he wants to come, he can.”
Ellie grins up at you tiredly, and you stand with her in your arms. You start to make the trek back to your apartment complex with as much gusto as you can, but your daughter is getting heavy, and the Midol you took earlier in the day is starting to wear off. The severity of your cramps are getting stronger again, and you have to fight to keep the pain out of your face.
“Here,” Jared says softly. “Let me take her.” He lifts Ellie off of you and continues to carry her the rest of the way to your apartment.
During your walk, you text Melissa that your time at the park got cut short because Ellie was hungry and to just meet you at your apartment- that Jared would be there, and you expect her to play nice.
She of course texts you back that she just got out of her meeting, that she makes no promises, and asks if he handed you the child support money yet. You reply with a thumbs down, and she tells you that she’ll get into contact with her guy on the way home.
You unlock your door and have him set a now sleeping Ellie on the couch before making your way into the kitchen to start dinner. Instinctively, he picks up a knife and helps you to start cutting up the vegetables you’ll need to make dinner.
It takes you back to when the two of you were married and cooking dinner together was considered your sacred time together. You wipe a tear away as you finish cutting up the tomato.
“Hey, are you really in that much pain right now?” Jared asks you, softly… tenderly.
You just nod. He doesn’t need to know that you’re in just as much emotional pain right now as you are in physical pain.
Your ex-husband takes you by the shoulder and guides you to one of the chairs at the table. He grabs the heating pad that you had left on the counter earlier that day and plugs it in before pressing it to your abdomen.
Just as he’s going to pull away, you hear the front door open again. You know it’s Melissa. And as she rounds the corner, Jared kisses you for her to see.
FOX IN THE BOX — ROY KENT.
PART TWO of ACES AT THE WATER’S EDGE.
(series masterlist!) (AO3!) (series playlist!)
pairing: roy kent x fem!reader (no use of y/n!)
summary: back in 2012, you and roy meet for the first time. in 2023, you sign a one-year contract with richmond and have to work with roy for the first time. both go about as well as you’d expect.
word count & rating: 9.6k, R (roy kent says fuck and does fuck!)
chapter warnings: swearing, light sexual innuendos and light references to sex, mentions of alcohol and partying (the olympians get DOWN in olympic village) minor allusions to what happened to reader at west ham, major football talk, roy kent is rich, original character intros and plot (author really likes a plot, woo boy), angst, and of course, fluff.
author’s note: ok wow, thank you for all the love on the first chapter! wildly unexpected but much appreciated. this one’s got a bit more to it— jumping timelines, original characters, lotta soccer/football talk, reader and roy don’t know how to act (in more ways than one). also did crazy research into the 2012 olympics for this, so no one tell me my timeline’s off or i’ll cry. also also, is roy's sister named molly or is that just evidence that i've read too many fics? whatever it is, her name's molly! thank you again for the love and i hope you all enjoy! love you all tons! -mags
LONDON OLYMPICS. (LATE JULY, 2012)
You meet Roy Kent for the first time at midnight, in a rookie’s dorm room in the Olympic Village.
It’s a seemingly unlikely place for a football phenom like him to be. You’d expected all of those guys to choose to be elsewhere, exploiting their home-country advantage to hang out in their posh flats. But there they were, carrying out their team bonding efforts to prepare for their game tomorrow.
Knowing what you know about Roy now, it’s fitting for him to have been there. But in this moment, you’re shocked to see the likes of him in Olympic Village.
It’s a place that’s convinced you that your college career was only good for preparing you for it. And you’re not even talking about the sports aspect of it. You’re talking about the shit-show, chaos-menu of athletes from around the world, acting as though it’s the first week of freshman year.
Despite the fact that alcohol, drugs, and any other traditional party favors are completely off-limits on-premises, it doesn’t seem to deter your fellow Olympians from running the dorms like it’s a frat party. You’re half-convinced you’re going to get a classic ‘who do you know here’ from the trust-fund-looking Australian swimmer you pass getting into your building, but he just sends a heartbreaking smile at you and your teammate as you walk in.
Your team’s fresh off the bus from Glasgow, having just beat France at Hampden Park. It was a hell of a way to open, despite the Opening Ceremony not taking place for another two days. As a younger player who’d proven herself in last year’s World Cup, you were the starting striker in your first Olympic game ever, scoring the second goal of the match and assisting the fourth. The adrenaline of it all hadn’t quite worn off yet.
It’s clear that your teammate’s feeling the same way. Melanie Rivera, your left winger and for all intents and purposes, best friend, is straight-up vibrating. You’d met during World Cup training, where you two had instantly clicked and she’d taken you under her wing to show you the ropes and what it meant to play at this level. Despite this being her second Olympics, the feeling of a win never goes away. Or at least, that’s what she tells you.
The two of you are practically bouncing off the walls as you arrive on your floor, giggling to yourselves about different things that had happened during the game. Your fluent-in-French full-back telling off a French forward when she got too close to your goalie. The mid-game mishap where some French girl’s cleat went flying. The ‘bullshit’ yellow card Mel had received right before the half (Mel knew it was a fair call, she’d totally pushed that girl).
“She was asking for it, though,” Mel insists, collapsing onto your bed as you enter your shared room. “Pulling on my shirt the whole game. I have two rules. Two. Don’t—”
You roll your eyes, having heard these rules a million times. “—touch my goalie, and don’t—”
“—touch my fucking kit,” she finishes, throwing her hands up exasperatedly. Her eyes shut with a huff.  “They’re pretty simple. Don’t know why people can’t follow them.”
“Yeah, it’s a travesty,” you reply dryly. Your lip curls into a grimace as you look at her. “You wanna know what my rules are?”
One of Mel’s eyes opens with a knowing smile. “Don’t be sweaty on your bed?”
“Oh, so we do remember,” you say, falsely cheery. The faux smile falls from your face. “Get off. Or at least shower. I want to go to bed and I don’t want to like, smell you.”
Mel rolls off your bed with a dramatic sigh. “Fine,” she relents. “But you can’t go to bed.”
Your expression remains unamused. “And why not?”
“Because the British men’s team is hanging out upstairs,” she states as if the answer’s obvious.
“Right. Of course,” you reply. “So, we’re crashing their team bonding?”
“No,” she says, pointing at you. “Their women’s team crashed. And then Jack texted me to tell us to come up.”
You narrow your eyes at her. “Uh-huh. Is Paige there?”
Mel shrugs, avoiding your gaze. “Maybe.”
“Oh, great,” you say sarcastically. “So, you’re forcing me to stay awake so I can wingman you?”
Mel flops on your bed once more. “Please,” she cries. “Dude, I like her so fucking much. We’ve been texting since the Cup and I don’t know, this year I think I’ve got a chance.”
“Why can’t Jack wingman you? He’s clearly down to set you two up,” you say, sounding a bit whiny. “Also, why are they hanging out here? I thought they’d rent a place or stay at their own houses.”
“They make the rookies stay in the Village their first years. It's for the experience, or whatever,” she answers. That’s brushed to the side quickly. “Also, Jack is a fucking awful wingman. The only type of scoring he’s good at is on the field.” She looks at you expectantly. “And I can’t go up there alone. I’ll look like a loser.”
You gape at her. “You are twenty-seven years old.”
“And I’ll look like a twenty-seven-year-old friendless loser!” When she sees the expression you’re wearing, she tilts on her side. “Say yes or I’ll roll around in your bed.”
You cover your face with your hands, an exhausted laugh echoing into your palms. This clearly is a losing battle, and you decide you’re going to be a good friend tonight. “Fine,” you groan, hearing your bed squeak as she launches herself off of it with a cheer. “An hour. That’s it. And then I’m going to bed and never talking to you again.”
“I can live with that,” she yells, bounding for the shower in your room. “I’ll text Jack that we’ll be up in thirty!”
“You owe me so big!” you reply.
You can hear Mel’s grin when she says, “I love you, too!”
Thirty minutes later, you’re freshly showered and up three floors, standing outside of the rookie’s dorm room. You can hear just how loud it is from outside and you suddenly really feel like you’re back in college again.
It takes Mel a solid three minutes to work up the courage to knock on the door, something that you’re sure would have taken longer if you hadn’t reached out and done it yourself. She scowls at you, but the door opens before she can cuss you out.
Jack Wilson, Tottingham sweeper and three-time Olympian, answers the door with a wide smile. You’d met him a handful of times due to his friendship with Mel and he was just as lovely as everyone had said. There was a charming sort of awkwardness about him despite his status as a professional footballer, but it made him all the more endearing to you.
“Glad you finally decided to show,” he said to you two, opening the door wider for you to enter. “Congrats on the win.”
“Thanks,” Mel said, eyes already scanning the small dorm living room for Paige. “What’s up with the team bonding in the dorms?”
You’re also looking around the room, sending smiles to the handful of girls you recognize. “Game tomorrow. Coach wanted us to do dinner as a team, so we ate in that big hall. And we--” he says, pointing to two guys on the couch, “--wanted to see the Village this year. So here we are.”
Your eyes follow his finger to the men, one of which isn’t familiar. The other, you immediately identify as Roy Kent. And his eyes are on you.
He’s easily recognizable, curly hair a bit more tame and managed than the iconic, half-assed mullet he’d had when he first signed with Chelsea. That ever-present scowl only lifts a little when he sees that you and Mel have arrived, but you honestly can’t see much change in his expression due to his drawn brows.
While you’d relied on Mel for the majority of your connections to this new world of football, she’d never really seemed to hang out with the likes of Roy. From what you’d gathered, despite his rather high status, he was a bit of a recluse. Yes, he went out constantly, and yes (if the tabloids were right), he’d certainly dated around, nobody really seemed to know much about him.
When he’d come up in a team game of ‘Fuck, Marry, Kill’ with famous footballers, Mel had told the group that he was a guy of few words, and of the words he did say, ‘fuck’ seemed to be his favorite. Your friend and teammate Katie O’Connor was ready with a terrible impression of him when she answered with ‘fuck,’ especially after Mel also confirmed that the Gina Gershon news was true.
You try to ignore this as you go over to introduce yourself to them, despite the fact it’s currently setting up camp in your brain. “Nice to meet you guys,” you say to Roy and the other boy on the couch. Jack takes a spot next to you on the floor as you take an empty chair next to the couch. Paige waves at you from her spot when you sit.
Roy nods at you in acknowledgment. “Good showing out there.”
Jack points at you. “Bloody insane goal you had,” he says. “I think I’d break my back if I tried to do a scorpion kick like that. It was fucking class.”
You grin. “Well, lucky for Tottenham, they keep you on the other side,” you say, then quietly add, “Not that it would make a difference.”
You see Roy’s lips twitch up from the corner of your eye, and you bite back a laugh as Jack physically deflates before you. Mel’s heard your comment and runs over to sit on the arm of your chair, which is conveniently close to Paige. “Ooh, is it shit on Tottenham time? Because I haven’t seen your ass in months, so I got a whole list, man.”
As the two of them begin to argue in the way they do, you sit at watch them with a smile. They’d had this type of relationship since you’d met them back at the Cup, when Jack had flown into Germany to see your final games. Despite the loss, those were a wild couple of weeks.
The moment your brain starts to recount them, you can feel a pair of eyes on you. It snaps you out of your haze completely. Especially when you realize that it’s Roy Kent who’s staring at you once more.
You blink at him, slightly confused by the attention. “Hi?”
He nods at you again. He seems to take a moment to evaluate you, and then, “You overthink.”
“W-What?” you ask. The word comes out clunky and confused.
Roy motions to the TV that’s on across the room, one that’s showing highlights from your game. “Out there,” he says. “You overthink.”
The two of you stare at each other for a moment. You, feeling unbelievably out of sorts and unsure of what brought this on, Roy, secure and casual, like he just stated the weather.
Before you can question him, he nods at you for a final time, then stands up. “I’m going home,” he tells the group. “You lot better be fucking ready for the game tomorrow.”
Roy’s out of the room before anyone can say a proper goodbye to him, but no one bats an eye. No questions follow.
Except you, of course. You’ve got a fucking million.
You overthink on the field? Where the fuck had he gotten that from? How had he seen it? While there were some times, yeah, you got a bit in your head, you’d never considered yourself an overthinker. And even if you were, the overthinking produced results, right? You liked to think you were just three steps ahead of everyone else out there. Not an overthinker.
But what made him say that? What had he seen? Was it your hesitation outside the box in the first fifteen that resulted in you losing the ball? Was it the switch you’d made to get to the goal when your right winger had it on the side? Was there a look on your face when you’d taken that free kick in the second half? You were pretty in your head then, but hey, it led to Mel scoring.
Overthinking. Pfft. He didn’t know what he was talking about.
But then again, what the fuck was he talking about?
The thought of this unknown bomb dropped on you without any sort of answers quickly and completely took over your mind. Criticism about your playing had never bothered you (you were a twenty-five-year-old female soccer player, and you’d had more horrendous coaches than you could count), but this? This was something that literally made you itch. And you weren’t going to be able to scratch it until you knew what the hell he meant.
Before you knew what you were doing, you found yourself practically chasing Roy out of the room, whipping your head around to figure out which way he’d gone. Lucky for you, the dorm’s slow lifts were on your side.
Roy stood by the elevator, checking something on his phone as he waited. He clearly doesn’t hear you coming because he nearly drops it when you ask, “What do you mean I overthink?”
“What the fuck?” And now he’s staring at you like you’re the crazy one.
“I should be asking you that!” you say, then motion back to the direction of the dorm. “You tell me I overthink, stare at me with no follow-up, then leave? Who does that?” You’re way too animated for past midnight, but you don’t care. “Because even if I was an overthinker, which I’m not, that sort of stuff is probably the worst thing you can do. Not leaving on a note like that is like, rule number one.”
Roy’s brows shoot up. “I wasn’t aware there were rules.”
“Yeah, well, there are,” you reply, crossing your arms over your chest. When he continues to just stare at you, you make a face that you hope will cue him to go on. “So, go ahead. Please explain yourself.”
“Explain the overthinking thing?” he asks. “I thought it was pretty fucking simple.”
You roll your eyes. “No, what made you say that? Was it a play I had? Was it something I did? What did you see? I’m just curious as to—”
“You came up the field toward the end of the game,” he says, effectively cutting you off. “And you made a pass to Rivera that led to another pass, then a goal.”
You nod at him, not seeing his point at all. “Yeah? So? It was a great goal by Katie.”
Roy’s expression turns slightly frustrated, as if he’s annoyed that you don’t immediately catch on. “It was a great goal. But the fucking second you saw Rivera next to you, you started thinking ahead,” he tells you. “So far ahead that you didn’t notice how slow and fucking awful your mark was and that you could have had a better goal if you’d stopped thinking.”
There are approximately fifteen seconds of dead air between you two as you attempt to take in what he just said to you. “So, let me get this straight,” you begin. “You’re saying I’m bad because I think too much about teamwork?”
For a moment, you think Roy’s going to slam his head into the elevator door. Instead, he just turns to the buttons and presses them once more. “Fuck’s sake, could these be any fucking slower?”
You’re too far gone at this point to even be offended. “Uh, it doesn’t matter. You started this. You’re not going anywhere until we finish it. Why does me not being a selfish dick make me bad?”
“I didn’t say you were bad. You’re not. Clearly,” he responds. You note a bit of the classic ‘Roy Kent’ anger laced within his words and it makes you snap your mouth shut. “I’m just saying. You’re at your best when you’re not so fucking nice and when you don’t fucking think.”
Unconsciously, your arms cross over your chest. “I’ve got twenty-two years of playing time and about ten coaches that would disagree with that.”
Once more, you see the corner of his mouth slide upward as he glances at you. “If that’s the case, then your coaches were all idiots. They weren’t smart enough to let you loose.”
An unexpected warmth rises to your cheeks. But instead of acknowledging it, you ask, “What, like you’d be a better one?” Before he can respond to that, you’re talking again. “And even if all of that were true, I wouldn’t know how to do that.”
Roy’s brow creases. “Do what?”
“Not… think ahead,” you say. “Or not think at all. That being three steps ahead thing is kind of, well, my thing.” You offer a shrug. “The generous, teamwork thing too. I like that. It’s what makes me good.”
Roy continues to look at you, but says nothing. For a moment, all is quiet as he just… stares, almost as if he can see through you. Like he’s privy to something you’re not, or he’s had some sort of revelation about you. You’re not sure anyone’s ever looked at your this hard. It’s a bit unnerving and you have to fight to not avert your eyes.
Before you can begin to further overthink that (god fucking damn it), he’s holding his phone out to you. You stare down at it blankly.
“You’re showing me your phone,” you state, but it’s almost a question.
Roy rolls his eyes. “Put in your fucking number,” he says.
Your lips purse as you hesitate, but you find yourself reaching out for it. “Is this how you typically do it?” you ask, typing your name into his contacts. “You neg a girl for five minutes straight and then ask her for her number?”
Roy rolls his eyes again, but there’s humor amongst the annoyance this time. “I’m going to text you a time and an address,” he tells you. You hand him his phone back. “Be there on Friday after the Opening Ceremony.”
The elevator had finally arrived in the middle of his sentence and you eye him wearily as he steps in. “Just… show up to this address?” you ask. “Do I get context? Like, what to expect? What am I dressing for?”
“Overthinking,” he reminds you as he presses the button for the lobby. “Just fucking be there.”
Before you can object further or tell him that you were not in fact overthinking, you were just a woman in a foreign city concerned for your safety, he leans forward to stop the doors from closing. He’s got one hand up and has a small smirk on his face.
“And just so we’re crystal fucking clear,” he says. “If I were trying to chat you up, you’d fucking know it.”
Your eyes immediately fix into a glare and the doors close before you can say anything in response. “Asshole,” you mutter to yourself, but you’re already flipping your phone over to see if he’s texted you.
(You won’t know this until much, much later, but Roy Kent let out a loud and regretful ‘fuck!’ as soon as he was five floors down, absolutely cringing at the idea that he used a line like that on someone like you. It plagued him for three years straight.)
PRESENT DAY. (EARLY AUGUST, 2023)
On a day when Roy not only had the strangest interaction of his life with Jamie Tartt in the Boot Room, but he also found out that Trent fucking Crimm would be lingering around all season, he was sure that he was done with surprises at Nelson Road.
That quickly proved to be false, as he soon found that Ted was rounding the team up in the media room for some sort of meeting.
Roy saw Beard as he was leaving the Coaches’ Office and sent a questioning look his way. “Did I miss film on the agenda?”
Beard shook his head. “Nope. Impromptu. We just heard back.”
“Heard back?” Roy asked, watching Beard go to leave the room. “The fuck are you on about?”
Beard smiled at him in the doorway. “We got her,” he said and left with a skip in his step that Roy wasn’t sure he’d ever seen before.
They’d gotten her? Got who?
Then it hit Roy. Oh. You. They’d gotten you.
You’d said yes. You were joining Richmond. He’d helped convince you. Despite everything, despite all that had happened and everything you two had done, you’d said yes. You were willing to work with him. You were now going to be back in his life for worse or for better. And not just back in his life, but a fucking constant in it.
Then that hit Roy. The reality of it all fucking bodyslams him and it makes his heart race. After eight years of cold-turkey no-contact, he was going to be seeing you every day. After everything he’d done. After everything you had done.
Roy realized then that he didn’t exactly consider this feeling. That he was so blindsided by Rebecca’s request and by seeing you that he didn’t even think about this. It had been hard enough to work up the nerve to confront and speak to you once. Would it feel like that all season? Had you considered this?
But then, he remembered you and how you think about every fucking angle of every situation. You definitely had thought about this. And if you were willing to push the discomfort, the awkwardness, the whatever in order to have this job, he supposed he had to be too.
Roy swore under his breath, turning away from his desk to get his head back on straight. The team was waiting for him. He could mope about this in the comfort of his own home later.
He arrived in the room just as the rest of the team was getting in. The boys were buzzing. Between the news of a potential Zava acquisition and the Trent Crimm book development, as well as whatever this was, they couldn’t seem to stop talking. Roy didn’t blame them. It was a lot for one day.
(It’d been a lot for him too. With everyone now knowing about his break-up with Keeley, to fucking Trent Crimm, to you, he was surprised he hadn’t gone outside to scream yet. But he presumed that was coming.)
“Alright fellas, listen up,” Ted said from the front of the room, holding his hand up to get everyone’s attention. The team quieted down after a moment. “I know there’s been a lot of talk going around this week. And I know y’all are excited. But I’ve got some more news.”
“I don’t know if I can take any more,” Dani said, sending a wave of agreement through the group. “It’s hurting my head.”
Ted chuckled. “I know. Mine too. And we’re the ones who have to manage all this,” he said, motioning to Beard and Roy who stood against the wall. “But this is good news.”
Good news? That was something the team could manage.
“So, how many of you are familiar with the Women’s World Cup that happened back in 2015?” he asked, eyes scanning the crowd.
A murmur went through the team. “America won?” Colin offered. “Crazy final game that was.”
Isaac pointed at Roy. “You did some shit for Sky Sports for this Cup, right?”
As the boys began to recall this, Jaan Mas said, “Why they gave you another pundit job after that completely blows my mind.”
“Yes, Roy did do some TV work over here,” Ted answered after the laughter died down. “And yes, America won. But does anyone remember what this Cup started to be called?”
It seemed as though no one had an answer. That is, until Beard cleared his throat said, “The Summer of Fourteen, baby!”
Ted snapped at his best friend. “That’s exactly right, Coach. And despite it being the 2015 Cup, they called it that because of this woman right here.”
Ted had brought up what is perhaps the most iconic photo of you to date. It’s one of the first things to come up if you were to Google yourself, a picture that’s haunted you for the last eight years. It’s from the 2015 quarter-final. You’re mid-penalty kick against China, scowl on your face as your foot collides with the ball, blood dripping down your face from the broken nose you’d received moments before.
(It’s certainly not the most elegant or flattering picture of you that exists, especially when your fellow teammates’ search results yielded photos of them at the ESPYs, but you still think you’ve never looked like more of a badass.)
Ted said your name smoothly as he pointed to you on the screen, annunciating all syllables. “Wildly prolific USA Women's athlete despite her rather short time in the league. And while she was always good, y’know, starting striker since she began and all that—” He chuckled, turning to look at his other coaches, who had knowing smiles on their faces. “—I don’t know. There was something in the water in 2015. Because she just became…”
Ted trailed off, looking for the word. This time, Roy found it before Beard. “A nightmare,” he said, with a suppressed yet fond sort of smile. “She was a fucking nightmare out there.”
“In a good way, of course,” Ted cleared up, earning a nod from Roy. “But, yeah. A nightmare. Wonderful teammate and fantastic playmaker, but man…” Ted trailed off with a low whistle. “We were all glad she played for our neck of the woods.”
Jamie’s hand went up. “Didn’t she just get like, hired and fired by West Ham?”
“Wonderful segue there, Jamie,” Ted said. “Because yes, that is true. She was with West Ham for a couple months. First female coach in the league. Pretty impressive stuff, and it was a pretty big deal. And then something went wrong, and they let her go.” The team made a noise of acknowledgment, all of them having seen it in the news. “And I don’t know what happened, and we probably won’t know what happened, but we knew she was too good to leave the league. Lucky for us, we need a new coach. And she needs a new job.”
There was a wide smile on his face when Sam asked, “So she will be joining Richmond?”
“That she is, Sam,” Ted replied, earning yet another eruption of chatter amongst the group. “She’ll be joining us on Monday. And while I know you fellas will do everything you can to make her feel welcome and will show her the same level of respect that you show us up here—” Ted pointed to his coaches once more, glancing down at the computer in front of him. “—I’m going to show you why she deserves it more than us.”
A YouTube video of your highlights appeared on the big screen, going full-screen as the quick ad ended. Ted stepped back from the computer, sitting down on the stool behind him to watch along with the rest.
Your famous 2012-France-Scorpion-Kick goal just so happens to be the first thing up and Roy’s heart nearly stops. It’d been years since he’d seen this clip and he was immediately transported back to the night you two met. A ghost of a smile unconsciously made its way up his face as he watched your body contort to flip around, and the ball soar into the net. It was a goal of pure and utter instinct. You hadn’t thought about it. You just ran in there like a maniac and knew what to do. That one gets an immediate reaction from the team.
The next one is a play you’d set up in the Quarter-Final New Zealand game, with a bunch of quick passing in the box to confuse and rattle the defense. Melanie Rivera had sent you a world-class assist for an even better goal, one that earns you the title of ‘Fox in the Box’ from the past commentator on screen. The next, an impressive goal scored after an injury you’d had in the Semi-Finals against Canada. Then, and perhaps most famously, your assist to Katie O’Connor from midfield to win the Gold.
And they hadn’t even gotten to the World Cup yet.
The World Cup footage made up the other three-fourths of the video. It was a completely different side of you, one that had thrown caution to the wind, one that had a huge fucking chip on her shoulder, one that was just… insane. In all the best ways and meanings.
Roy’s shock of the day, though, comes after a highlight of you completely blowing past three Colombian defenders. You’d broken the fourth’s ankles with your footwork in the box for a quick goal. Footwork of yours that had been massively improved, Roy noted. And he would know, he’s the one who did it.
Arlo White’s voice filled up the room. “And yet another breakaway goal from USA’s Mean Fourteen!” The clip said. “It’s just remarkable to watch her work this year, don’t you think, Roy?”
Roy felt all eyes on him when he heard his own voice on the speakers. “I don’t know what USA would do without her,” 2015 Roy Kent said. “I’d hate to have her against me.”
It was strange for Roy to hear his own voice mock him like that. And as the team began to cheer for him, he felt a pit form in his stomach. They didn’t even know.
The highlight reel continued for another couple of minutes, and it seemed with each play, the boys became more excited about the prospect of being coached by someone like you. Beard and Ted were evidently just as ecstatic about the development, and Roy knew he had to get on board. Warp his feelings and nerves and whatever else into something resembling his team’s attitude.
After all, he was the reason you were joining.
The lights came up as soon as the video ended, snapping Roy back to reality. Ted smiled at the team. “Alright, fellas. Now, let’s get to work on the welcome party.”
The boys hooped and hollered, each of them getting up to join in whatever Ted had planned. Beard looked over at Roy as the rest filed out.
“You think we’re ready for her?” he asked.
Roy hated the weird fucking sixth sense Beard had when it came to… well, everything. He made Roy feel like he was completely transparent. “We’re ready for her,” he replied.
Though, he wasn’t sure if he was assuring Beard or himself.
PRESENT DAY. (EARLY AUGUST, 2023.)
You sign a one-year coaching contract with AFC Richmond that Monday in Rebecca Walton’s office.
The news broke that you’d been picked up by Richmond on Friday, something that had completely come alive in the press world. Your face was plastered over all of the papers yet again, newscasters seemed to mention your name every time you turned on your TV, and social media was set on fire. Everyone had something to say about this move and the majority of it wasn’t too positive.
You tried to keep your nose out of it, knowing just how much you did not need to see people talking about you like that. The majority of the negativity was from West Ham fans, wishing Richmond ‘luck’ with the likes of you, others wishing you good riddance.
If they knew how happy you were to be out of there, you’re not so sure they’d be as excited to let you go.
Though signings on every level in this league were typically more public affairs, ones with major press conferences and coverage, you’d requested this to be quieter. Just a few statements from the people who mattered and a pen and paper. You’d been in the media a bit too much for your liking over these past couple of months, and if you could get some exclusivity, you’d take it.
Rebecca, thankfully, was more than happy to comply. You’d been in contact with her practically non-stop since you’d called her, and she’d been nothing but lovely to you. Each interaction with her made you feel better about this job, despite the cloud of anxiety that still hung over you.
You’re sitting in a chair opposite Rebecca’s desk when a message from Mel comes through. i always liked richmond better than west ham anyway, she says. paige and i bought shirts and will be at every game.
A photo comes through shortly after of her three-year-old toddler, decked out in a Jamie Tartt jersey. oliver’s already got his!
You can’t help the smile that spreads across your face, fingers tapping against your screen with a quick response. adorable. give him and paige a hug for me. and i’ll be freaking out so bad at every game that i’m gonna need you there anyway, so i’m holding you to that.
you’ll be incredible. knock ‘em dead, kid.
Rebecca re-enters her office before you can respond with a thank you. She’s got Coach Ted Lasso in tow, who could not be grinning brighter at you. The second you see him, you think about everything Nate had told you during your short time at West Ham, and something within you just can’t believe it. The energy of Richmond had been different as soon as you walked through the door. The good kind of different. And their manager appeared to not be an exception.
Ted greets you immediately with an outstretched hand. “It’s so nice to finally meet you,” he says after your introduction. “I gotta tell you, we’re all mighty excited that you’re here.”
“I think I might be more excited,” you reply, and it’s an honest answer. Or at least, you’d been able to shift your nerves about the job into excitement. You’d only anxiety-thrown up once today. You figured that was an accomplishment. “Seriously. Thank you both again for the opportunity.”
“We’re just grateful you said yes,” Rebecca says. You can tell she means it. “The team’s been buzzing all week.”
The nerves return at the mention of the team, but you mentally scream at yourself to get over it. “Well, I’m just excited to get started.”
“Speaking of getting started, we should probably head downstairs,” Ted says to Rebecca. “I wanna show our new coach around a bit before practice gets going.”
“Of course, don’t let me keep you,” Rebecca responds. “I’ve got a couple more things for you to sign before you leave today, so just make sure to stop by. If you have any questions, my door’s always open, or you can ask Leslie, who you met earlier, who’s always wandering around somewhere.” Her smile gets warmer as she puts a hand on your shoulder. “And we really are pleased to have you joining us.”
You wonder for a moment how a woman like her could have ever been married to an asshole like Rupert, but you suppose that’s a story for another day. “Thank you,” you say again, a bit of that anxiety washing away. “I’m happy to be here.”
Ted leads you out of the office, his tour starting from the minute you exit. He offers a bit of insight into himself and his time at Richmond, his past two years working with Rebecca, then launches into what he knows about the history of the place (and you don’t have the heart to tell him that Rebecca had already done that when you’d arrived).
The facility is gorgeous, but it feels a bit more lived-in and welcoming than what you remember about West Ham. Everything there was so manicured and monochromatic and sterile. Nothing about it felt like a place you’d want to work.
Richmond is the opposite. It’s bright and colorful and you can hear people laughing as soon as you step down into the lower level. While your nervousness about the team still lingers, you can feel it easing. You’ll see how long that lasts.
You’re stepping into the Coaches’ Office before you even realize it, mind too occupied with taking in your new surroundings and trying to keep up with Ted’s story. You resent the overwhelming amount of relief you feel when you realize there are only two men in the office, and neither of them are Roy.
One is sitting with his feet crossed up on his desk and a book in his face. The other is writing on a notepad at a separate desk. You’re surprised by the speed at which both of them jump up to greet you as you and Ted enter.
“Alright, Coach, this is Coach Beard,” Ted says, and you meet Beard’s hand for a shake. “He’s one of the guys you’ll be working with this season.”
“Nice to meet you,” Beard says, nodding your way.
“You too,” you reply. Your eyes are drawn to the book he placed down on his desk and you allow yourself to grin. “I love Merlin Sheldrake.” When his brows shoot up in surprise, you shrug. “I’ve got a lot of time in the off-season.”
Beard’s eyes light up. “We’ll get along just fine.”
Your grin grows and you hear Ted’s voice from behind you. “Is that that mushroom book?” he asks. “I don’t think Beard’s ever found someone who reads that stuff too. I guess we’ve now got two Fun-guys in the group.”
You glance over at Beard. “Now it's a Fung-us.”
Out of the corner of your eye, you see Ted’s hand come up to his mouth as he looks over at his best friend. For whatever reason, it’s clear that the two of them are trying to contain their excitement. Before you can question it, Ted places a hand on your shoulder. “Oh, you’ll fit right in here, Ace.”
The nickname catches you off guard. It’s something that you haven’t heard since your playing days, something that the commentators and pundits loved to call you. It was always a compliment when they said it, but something about the way that your new manager says it makes it sound more like a title than a name. Like that’s what you are.
It immediately makes you feel welcome and you can feel yourself warm into their excitement.
The other man in the room, who’s been watching this interaction in amusement, steps forward to hold out his hand to you as well. “Trent Crimm.”
Now, it’s your turn to raise your brows. “You’re the writer who keeps calling me?”
A smile that could also be a cringe appears on his face. “Guilty,” he answers. “Just trying to cover all the bases for the book.”
“I get it,” you tell him. “If you still want a quote, I’d be happy to give you one. But I can’t guarantee it’s going to be clean.”
Trent chuckles. “I’ll take what I can get at this point.”
There’s a moment where you almost question what he means by that, but you brush it off. Especially now that Ted’s started talking again. “Roy's running a little late, but I’ve heard y’all already know each other, so we’re not technically missing an introduction.”
That makes you pause. You’d figured that when Roy had appeared on your doorstep he’d told at least Rebecca about your past, and that the probability he’d told the staff was high too. But exactly how much had he told them? Did they know the basics or did they know everything?
You then realize it’s Roy you’re talking about. There was no way in hell he’d told them anything more than what Ted said. That you knew each other. Maybe that things hadn’t ended smoothly. But that was it.
That, at least, gives you a bit more confidence. Ted turns to you and leads you back into the small, adjoining room you’d walked through, pointing at an almost empty desk. “That’s yours,” he tells you. “Feel free to dress it up with whatever you want, and get yourself unpacked. We’re starting practice in about fifteen minutes and Coach Beard and I gotta set some things up, but I’d like to introduce you to the fellas before you start shadowing. That all sound good?”
You grip the strap of your backpack and nod at him with a smile. “Works for me, Coach.”
Ted grins, patting you on the arm. “Glad to hear it.”
And with that, he returns to his desk, making sure to leave the door open as he leaves.
You plop your backpack on your desk and begin to empty out your things. You grab your laptop first and place it on your desk, followed by a couple of knick-knacks and photos you brought along, ones that never felt at home at your desk at West Ham. There’s a rational piece of you that knows you should stop comparing the two places, but the pettier, more aggressive side of you tells it to fuck off.
(You like to listen to that one when you can these days.)
You’re holding a photo of a baby Oliver dressed in a Women’s USA onesie when you hear someone else walk into the room. You glance over your shoulder and immediately regret it.
Roy Kent is standing in the doorway, staring at you like he completely forgot your signing day was today.
Of course, Roy hadn’t. He’d been pacing around his flat all morning because of it. It was actually why he was late to work. But he hadn’t expected to see you as soon as he walked in. In his office. Now, your office too, he supposed.
The two of you just stared at each other for a moment, much like you did when you saw each other again for the first time last week. However, it appears that you’re both acutely aware of the three sets of eyes that are on you two from the other room.
Like you’re snapping into a scene in a play, Roy’s expression rids itself of all surprise. “Coach,” he says stiffly, nodding at you.
Coach. You suddenly remember your previous conversation. It’ll be professional. Civil. I won’t let there be any issues.
Well, if he won’t let there be any issues, you’re sure as hell not going to give him the satisfaction of causing any.
So, instead, you return his nod. “Coach,” you greet him. As he puts his things on the desk opposite yours, your heart falls into your stomach, “A-Are we…”
“Sharing an office?” he finishes for you. You nod weakly. “Yeah.”
“Oh,” you say, then awkwardly add, “Fun.”
“I’m over the fucking moon,” he deadpans.
You bite your tongue, trying not to retort too quickly to a comment like that. You look away from him and to the keys in his hand and you prepare for the small talk you’re about to force yourself to engage in. “Tough ride in?”
It seems to take him a moment to process the question. The awkwardness of it all lingers. “Something like that,” he answers. However, his gaze is stuck on the picture in your hand. “What the fuck is that?”
Your brows furrow and you glance down. So much for small talk. “This?” You hold up the photo. “Oh, this is, uh, Oliver. Mel and Paige’s son.”
“Fuck off,” Roy says in a way that’s almost inquisitive, though the relief in his voice is palpable. You try to ignore that. “I didn’t know they had a kid.”
You huff a laugh despite yourself, and a bit of weight falls from your shoulders. “You clearly don’t follow Mel on anything,” you reply, then pause. “Oh, wait. I forgot. You don’t do social media.”
“It’s a waste of fucking time,” he says, reaching out to look at the photo. When you hand it to him, he mutters, “I think Rivera would have me blocked if I did, though.”
“Yeah, you’re not wrong,” you say honestly. You take the picture back from him and place it on your desk. Your next question comes out casual, and you can’t help but be proud of how nicely this is all flowing. “Speaking of kids, how’s Phoebe doing? And how’s Molly?”
You’re not expecting the hint of shock on Roy’s face when you turn back to him. It’s as if he can’t believe you’ve remembered his sister’s name, or his niece that you met when she was no more than six months old. You want to slap him upside the head for looking at you like that because, of course, you fucking remember that, but a knock on the door from the other room interrupts your conversation.
Trent’s standing hesitantly in the doorway, notepad in hand. “Sorry to interrupt,” he says, and he appears to be avoiding eye contact with Roy. “But if you were serious about talking, would you be free to do it tomorrow?”
You offer him a warm smile, hoping that’ll contrast Roy’s crossed arms and hard stare directed at him. “Sure thing.”
“No,” Roy immediately says. “You’re not fucking talking to him.”
Confusion takes over. “Why not?” you ask.
“Because no one’s fucking talking to him,” is Roy’s answer, firm, with no room for argument. His eyes never leave Trent. “And don’t try to fucking weasel your way into this team through someone who doesn’t fucking know any better, Crimm. You’re fucking better than that.”
You’re gaping at Roy as Trent nods at you kindly and retreats into the locker room. When you look back into the office to see if you can get some clarity from one of your other new colleagues, you notice that they’re both missing. Ted did say they had to set some things up.
You suppose that just gives you the ability to talk freely to Roy now.
“I’m sorry,” you say, whipping back to Roy who’s already facing his desk. “Has he not been given the O-K to write a book about this team?”
Roy grunts. “He has. But it doesn’t mean we’re fucking talking to him.”
“Well, doesn’t that, like, defeat the purpose of him writing a book?”
“You’re catching on.”
You lean back against your desk, folding your arms to take on Roy’s previous stance. “Oh, I see,” you say in understanding. “This is a Kent Rule.”
He doesn’t have to be facing you for you to know he rolled his eyes. “No, it’s not.”
“Oh, it’s totally a Kent Rule.” You stare at his back as he shifts his shoulders in discomfort. “You hate him, so you’re forcing the team to hate him. Enemy mine is enemy yours? That’s Kent Rule number three, if I’m remembering correctly.”
“It’s a team rule,” he states. “I’m just enforcing it.”
“Right,” you agree, though your voice says differently. “Each person here hates him so much that they allowed him to write a book here.”
Roy shakes his head with a scoff. “Fuck’s sake, I forgot how fucking irritating you were.”
“I’m not being irritating. You’re being evasive.” You only get another grunt in response. Fed up, your frustration at his lack of an explanation starts to seep into your tone. “So, what? I’m just supposed to ice that nice guy out because you say so?”
When Roy finally looks at you, he’s scowling. “He’s not fucking nice,” he says. “And you don’t know anything.”
“I don’t know anything because you won’t tell me,” you argue.
“My word’s not good enough?”
You glare at him. “Your word hasn’t been good enough in eight fucking years.”
Roy shakes his head, almost in disbelief. “Definitely not telling you now.”
“Okay, enough,” you say, scanning the room and the hall to make sure no one’s watching the two of you. You put a hand up before he can retaliate with anything. “Look, if this is gonna work, you have to tell me things, okay? And we can’t argue here. Not here.” You motion to the office around you. “I can’t work with that shit. Alright?”
For a moment, it’s like you can look into Roy’s mind. You watch him appear to recount last week’s talk, just as you did minutes ago. Professional. Civil. No issues.
“Fine,” he finally sighs, knowing you’re right.
“Fine,” you reply. You take a breath. “So, if he sucks and you don’t want me to talk to him, you need to tell me why. You can’t just order me around like I’m one of the guys, especially not in front of people. I’m your equal here, Roy. Whether you like it or not.”
Roy shakes his head. “You’ve always been my equal,” he says, though it’s a bit softer. “You fucking know that.”
His words leave a lump in your throat that you’re not anticipating. “Well, you’re not acting like it.”
His head tilts back, eyes falling shut. His shoulders tense up. Heavy sigh. Dear God, he really doesn’t want to tell you, huh?
And then it hits you. Oh, fuck does it hit you. He doesn’t want to tell you.
And you get why.
Roy’s talking as soon as you open your mouth to apologize for pushing him. “The others don’t know either. I’ll tell you when I tell them,” he offers. “That’s the fucking best you’re getting from me.”
Your tongue feels heavy in your mouth, so you offer a nod. “Fine,” you say softly.
The nod is returned. “Fine.”
The conversation feels finished, but there’s still one more thing you want to say. “And can we agree right here that we’re not going to argue in front of anyone? Just like you said?” you ask. “Like, if you want to pick a fight, just like, pull me into the Boot Room or something. This shit can’t affect the way we do our jobs.”
Humor slants Roy’s expression. “Boot Room fights?”
You roll your eyes. “You know what I mean. Not in front of the team.”
“Yeah, I got it,” he says with a nod. “Fine.”
“Fine.”
From the outside of the office, you can hear the team start to file into the locker room from their gym facility, laughing just the same as when you heard them earlier. The alone sound makes you tense up. Roy narrows his eyes at you.
“Speaking of,” he says cautiously. “I think it might be time for your introduction. Hope you like primary school-level art done by grown fucking men.”
That takes you out of your headspace immediately. “I’m sorry, what?”
LONDON OLYMPICS. (LATE JULY, 2012.)
Mabley Green. Friday. 23:30.
Wear some training gear.
I can send a car for you so you know you’re not being murdered.
You’d read the three messages you’d received two days ago from Roy Kent about a million times. While you’d replied to him that his sending a car felt very mafia boss and definitely doesn’t eliminate the murder possibility, you’d still gathered up the courage to dress up in your nicest sweats, escape from the Village after the Opening Ceremony festivities, and meet his driver on the outskirts.
(Of course, you said yes to the driver. Roy Kent was fucking loaded and if he were going to be strange and summon you places, you were going to take his free transportation.)
You’d confirmed your whereabouts and situation approximately thirty-five thousand times to Mel, who had nothing but questions for you.
“Roy Kent. Like Chelsea’s finest, here, there, every fucking where Roy Kent?” That’s the one.
“Is sending a car for you to go to where?” I don’t know, it looks like a soccer field.
“To do what?” Battle Pokemon. I don’t fucking know, Mel. I think he wants to train me.
“Train you or train you?” Why are you saying it like that?
“Because this has to be a weird hook-up thing that famous footballers do, right?” He made it very clear he had no interest. Also, pause. What about me says I’d fuck on a pitch?
“He could bring an air mattress.” Oh my God, I’m leaving.
But as you arrived to this completely empty field, with nobody but your overly friendly driver, Roger to back you up, you couldn’t help but feel a little nervous. This was weird, wasn’t it? You were meeting up with this guy you barely knew at an abandoned location just because he told you that you were an overthinker? Your mother would be absolutely horrified if she knew. You’d broken just about every Stranger Danger rule she’d set.
However, the second that you stepped out of the car to see Roy illuminated by the field lights, standing with his hood up and a bag of footballs thrown over his shoulder, you knew this was legit. And the anxiety washed away. But a few of the nerves stayed.
“Glad you showed,” he greets, turning to walk to the field as you fell into step with him.
You look over at him expectantly. “So, you are coaching me.”
“No, I’m fucking not,” he says. “I just want to get you out of your head.”
You nod in faux agreement. “Right. Because that’s not coaching.”
Roy rolls his eyes. “No, it’s not. It’s called being a nice fucking person.”
“Right,” you say again. “Because Roy Kent is known best for his kindness.”
He turns to you. Something sparks in you when you notice that he appears to be humored by all of this. “You should be thanking me.”
“Of course. I’m sorry,” you apologize, sending him a wide smile as you two make it to the field. “Thank you, Coach.” Roy rolls his eyes again and you chuckle softly. “I’ll thank you when I know for a fact you’re not gonna murder me.”
He watches as you plop yourself down on the pitch to stretch a bit. “If I was going to kill you, I wouldn’t have brought a fucking witness.”
“I don’t know,” you shrug. “Roger could be your Ryan Gosling.”
Roy actually laughs at that one. It’s a sound that you’d never expected to hear, but you’d be lying if you said you didn’t want to hear it again. “I wouldn’t trust him to do that kind of driving. Chatty prick can barely get around London.”
“Hey,” you chide. “He was very nice.”
“He’s fucking incredible. Been with him since my Sunderland days. Still a chatty prick.”
You can’t help but smile at the fondness that’s crept into his voice, but you say nothing about it. You bring your knee to your chest in a stretch and look up at him. “So, what’s the plan here, Coach?”
“Not your coach.”
“Right, sorry. What’s the plan here, Zodiac?”
Roy shakes his head, fighting to keep his lips even. “I want to make a deal with you.”
“A deal?” you ask. “What kind of deal?”
“I’ll train with you until your team's out,” he says. “Whenever our match schedules align, we can figure out a time to do shit until you need to go home.”
Your smile turns cocky. “And if we win?”
He practically snorts. “You’re not going to win.”
“But if we do?”
“Then we’ll train until then,” he replies. “And I’ll give you whatever you fucking want.”
You’re not sure what that entails, but anything you want from Roy fucking Kent? It’s an offer that may be too good to pass up. But still, one question lingers. “In exchange for what?”
“What?” he asks.
You stand, lifting one of your feet from the ground so that you can pull it up behind you in another stretch. “A deal works two ways. Exchanging goods or services and all that,” you tell him. “What’s in it for you?”
Roy shrugs. “I need to train too,” he answers. It's a bit simple, a bit evasive. “That’s what’s in it for me.”
“Oh, c’mon,” you say, “you can’t be serious. You want to train with me just to train?”
“What’s wrong with that?” he asked, crossing his arms.
“Nothing,” you respond, slowly realizing he’s serious. “I guess I just kind of assumed when I heard ‘deal’ that you’d want something in return.”
“Well, that’s all I fucking want,” he tells you. “If I think of anything else you can do for me, I’ll let you know.”
A mix between a scoff and a laugh escapes you. “I’ll be anxiously anticipating your demands.”
He’s turned to his bag of footballs and crouches to grab one, glancing up at you as he rises. “So?” he asks. “Do we have a fucking deal, or what?”
Your foot goes down as you look at him, evaluating him and his offer. You shift your gaze to the field, to the big lights around you, then to the night sky that tells you it’s almost the next day.
You have a game in Glasgow again tomorrow against Colombia. You’re out past curfew and know your team would both kill you and congratulate you if they knew where you were. You have to be on a bus in less than eight hours.
But here’s Roy Kent, standing with you on an abandoned pitch in London, offering to train with you. And what kind of idiot passes that up?
“Deal,” you agree, taking the ball from his hand. “Now, where do we start?”
All I Want for Christmas is Joon (Teaser)
Tumblr media
Title: All I Want for Christmas is Joon
Banner: the incredible @kithtaehyung
Pairing: art historian!Namjoon x art historian!reader (f)
Rating/genre: m (18+) angst, fluff, smut, second chance au
Estimated WC: 20k - this teaser is 792 words!
Posting Date: Dec 21st
Summary: You have had a rough year following the mutual break up with your grad school sweetheart. On a whim, you book a spontaneous trip to Europe for the holidays to help get you out of the funk you’re in and assert your independence. It would be great, if it weren’t for the fact that you keep bumping into your ex boyfriend.
Part of the Jingle All the Way collab!
BEFORE:
Your fingers itched over your computer mouse, hesitating on the ‘click’ you so ardently wanted to make. Anxiety held you back.
“Just do it,” Melissa hollered from your kitchen. You smiled, impressed at how she sensed your hesitation somehow. Outside of your family, she’s one of only two people that could ever read you that well. Though you guess that now she’s the only person that can, since the other is your ex-boyfriend that you haven’t seen in over a year.
You took her encouragement with a grain of salt. She was always egging on whatever hair brained idea you had, ever since elementary school. This time, though, maybe she was right.
“It’s expensive. And I’d be all by myself. I’ve never traveled all by myself,” you whined in response.
“Bitch, it’s literally cheaper than it’s ever going to be,” she shot back, strolling into the living room and leaning against the couch where you sat. You couldn’t argue. The Travel Tuesday flight deals this year were insane. You’ve never seen a round trip flight to Europe be less than $500, and somehow the itinerary you’ve secured rang in at $386.00 round trip, taxes and fees included. It was probably a bulk fair with a million restrictions and you’d be fucked if you wanted to change it, but the flight left in 3 weeks. If you booked this, you were going no matter what.
“And traveling by yourself is not bad,” Melissa continued. “Obviously I’d rather be on a girls’ trip with you or on a trip with Taehyung, but it’s also really nice to not have to worry about anyone but yourself. Sure, there’s no one to take cute pictures of you unless you want to ask a stranger, but you can do whatever you want without consulting with anyone or taking their feelings into account. Craving sushi? Go get sushi! Want a nap? Go take a nap! Want to check out an obscure museum no one would be interested in but you? Do it! You only have yourself to worry about.”
You sighed. “You’re right, I know you’re right. But you’re so much more adventurous than I am.” Mel and her husband, Taehyung, were always going off and doing the wildest of things. Going on amazing trips around the world, skydiving, scuba diving, the list goes on. Whether they were a match made in heaven or hell, you weren’t sure- they rarely said no to each other’s schemes. They were happy though, and beyond in love, and that’s all you could ever want for your best friend.
“That’s not true.” Melissa said. “You’re adventurous, you’re just also nervous. Ever since…. You know what. You’ve been complaining that you want to get better at doing things on your own. This is your chance. And you’ve wanted to go to Norway for ages. You can’t achieve your dreams if you’re afraid to pull the trigger when the opportunity presents itself.” You winced, but it was the truth. The hard truth, but the truth nonetheless. And you trusted Melissa to give it to you straight when you needed it. Since the breakup with Namjoon over a year ago, you’d been wallowing. The two of you did everything together, attached at the hip since you met in your grad school apartment building the weekend you both moved in. You’d made it all through college, moving in together the second year of school into a nice apartment off campus that you still occupied. The study abroad semester Namjoon spent in Paris had been tough, especially because you’d only had enough time and money for one brief visit, but it wasn’t until college was over that things fell apart. Art History is a tough field to get a job in. You were both insanely lucky to land jobs fresh out of college. Grades and letters of recommendation helped, but still. It was unfortunate that they were across the country. You’d barely made it through one bout of long distance. You thought it better to end things rather than face that again, and with no end date in sight.
“You’re right. I know how to travel. Namjoon and I took a few trips together. And you and I have gone on trips together. I need to learn how to be comfortable doing things on my own. I’m 25 years old. I can’t wait around forever.” You nodded as you spoke, convincing yourself. Taking a shaking breath, you squeezed your eyes shut and made that final click.
Melissa squealed in excitement and pulled you in for a constricting hug that pulled a laugh from you despite your nerves about your newly booked solo adventure. “I’m so proud of you! And excited! You’re going to fucking Norway!!”
Hi can I please request a Melissa x reader where Mel is meeting the readers parents for the first time and perhaps the reader doesn’t have a good relationship with her mom and her mom keeps making snarky comments about the age difference and that rlly upsets Melissa and the reader can tell so the next time the readers mum does it she shouts at her mom and they end up having an argument and then the reader grabs Mel and they storm out and maybe when they get home the reader breaks down at Mel comforts her. Also based of what happened when I took my bf home 😂😂. Tysm
You've been very patient with this request - which has been loitering with intent in my inbox for a while now! As promised, it was not forgotten. I hope this was what you were hoping for and that you enjoy it!
~*~
You’re both nervous.  You’re trying your best not to let your own nerves show, but you know by the supportive smile being aimed at you that you’re failing badly.  You know Melissa is trying just as hard to hide her own nerves by the way she fidgets, toying with anything in reach from the napkin to her necklaces to your bracelet.
The restaurant is neither of your favourites, and chosen for that reason specifically.  You know there’s a good chance tonight isn’t going to go down well and you don’t want to ruin one of your favourite places to eat with bad memories.  You hope it won’t.  That your mother will see how happy you are with Melissa, and maybe just for once, she’ll play nice.  You’re not counting on it though.
You’ve warned Melissa multiple times tonight might not end well.  You’ve apologised for feeling as though you have to warn her.  Every time you’ve told her, she’s been nothing but patient with you, telling you she understands difficult family dynamics, reassuring you that whatever happens she’s not going anywhere.
Seeing your mother enter the restaurant, you take a deep breath, motioning to Melissa as she approaches.
“Are we still waiting for your girlfriend?”
You frown at the greeting, as you stand to meet your mother.  Turning towards Melissa, you find her halfway out of her own chair.  She’s blatantly at the same table as you, and hasn’t yet run for the hills so why…
“Oh sweetheart, she isn’t a girl,” sneers your mother.  “She hasn’t been a girl for long time.”
Your mouth opens in shock.  You hadn’t exactly expected hugs and kisses, but this?  “This is Melissa.  The woman I love,” you manage, through clenched teeth as your hand finds the red head’s arm, a silent plea for her to stay.
“You’ve never exactly had the best taste,” quips your mother as she takes the seat opposite you.
Half sitting, half falling back into your own seat you offer Melissa an apologetic look, your fingers gently brushing over the exposed skin of her forearm.  You can see your mother’s comments have riled her, but you also know her well enough to see that behind her stern expression, there’s hurt in her eyes too.
The age gap between you isn’t inconsiderable, and you know it sometimes plays on the red head’s mind.  For you, it’s never been all that much of an issue.  Since the day you met her you’ve always found her the most beautiful woman in any given room, and when she finally let you get to know her, you realised you found her personality just as attractive.  You love her.  All of her.
For her part, Melissa tries her best to suppress the urge to lean over the table and unceremoniously drag your mother across it by her neck.  You had told her, quite a number of times, that this might not go well, but she hadn’t expected your mother to be quite to vicious right off the bat.  Come to think of it, she wishes she had one of hers.
*
You had hoped that after your mother’s horrid opening gambit the evening might improve.  Instead, it only gets worse.  You’ve barely even ordered and already you want to cry, scream and inflict serious bodily harm with the cutlery.
Melissa excuses herself to the bathroom.  She flashes you a quick, forced, smile before she does, honestly not wanting to leave you to face your mother alone, but needing a moment to collect herself.  She wants to scream and shout and raise her fists, but she won’t.  She knows your relationship with your mother is tenuous at best and she won’t do anything to make it worse.  That doesn’t mean that every awful comment aimed at you that she doesn’t shoot down doesn’t cause guilt to build in her chest.  It also doesn’t mean that the barbed comments aimed at her don’t hurt.
She glares at herself in the mirror, trying by sheer force of will to stop the tears falling from her eyes.  She knows you don’t believe any of the words coming from your mother’s mouth.  She does know.  She knows because she knows you.
She’s watched tonight as you’ve tried to be patient.  As you’ve quietly countered every insult thrown at her, trying not to make a scene but making it clear that you’re firmly with Melissa and no amount of derogatory comments is going to change that.
She manages a small smile in the mirror.  You love her.  You’ll get through this.  A little bruised and sore, sure, but together.
Exiting the bathroom, she’s within hearing distance of the table just in time to hear your mother throw out her latest taunt; “Sure you don’t want to check she hasn’t broken a hip, the time she’s taking?”
Pausing, she takes a deep breath, biting down the retort that threatens to spill from her lips.  It’s during this moment she sees you stand, planting your hands on the table.
“You know what?” you shout, no longer caring about making a scene.  “I don’t have to sit here and listen to this, and I should never have subjected Melissa to you!”
You promised yourself you wouldn’t make a scene tonight, but that was before you realised your mother seemed intent on insulting Melissa at every opportunity.  “I hoped you’d see her the way I see her, as a beautiful, funny, supportive and kind girlfriend.  That you might even be happy for me but all you’ve been in mean and hurtful and she doesn’t deserve that.  She deserves the fucking world and that doesn’t include you!”
You toss your bag over your shoulder, yanking yours and Melissa’s coats from the back of your chairs before leaning down to grab the red head’s handbag.  Without looking at your mother, you turn to go and find Melissa, only to find her a few feet away, looking stunned.
Still fuelled by anger and adrenaline you stride over to her, catching her hand with your own and leading you both out of the restaurant.
“We can’t just walk out!” she hisses, not wanting you to hurt your relationship with your mother by ending tonight on such bad terms.
“We damn well can,” you tell her as you push open the door, leaving the sounds of the restaurant behind.  “I’m not sitting there listening to her insult you with every other breath!”
As you reach the parking lot, you’re beginning to run out of steam, your anger faltering as tears of frustration start to gather in your eyes.  You let go of her hand, pacing as you take a number of deep breaths, trying not to cry.
You stop as Melissa catches your hand as you pass her once more.  “I’m sorry tonight was so shitty,” you offer, your voice barely a wobbly whisper.
“You warned me it might not go well,” she shrugs, though you know she’s trying to play it down.  You know tonight has been just as horrific for her as it has been for you.  That she’s tried to be on her best behaviour for you and you hate yourself for it.
You let out a sigh, turning to face her, managing a sad smile as she takes your other hand and tugs you close, wrapping her arms around you.  “I didn’t think it would go quite that badly.”
Resting your head on her shoulder, you loop your arms around her waist, breathing her in.  “Can we just go home?”
-
You pull up outside Melissa’s apartment.  Home, you realise, with a small smile.  Turning to face the woman in the driver’s seat, you take a moment to just drink her in.  It’s a habit you have no intention of breaking any time soon.  “I don’t deserve you.”
She turns with a lopsided smile.  “You put up with plenty.”
So does she, you think.  Tonight more than ever before.  You start to tear up again as the evening’s events play through your mind.  “I’m so sorry about tonight.”
“You couldn’t have known she was going to say those things,” Melissa says softly.
“I shouldn’t have let her!” you quickly reply, angry with yourself all over again.  “I should have left when she made that first snarky comment!”
“You didn’t just leave when I made my first snarky comment,” smirks the red head.
You manage a watery smile at that.
 “Come on, lets get inside and drink good wine and forget about bad people.”
You reach across and put a hand on her arm before she can leave the truck.  “You know what she was saying was all nonsense, right?”
The smile being aimed at you is forced.  You know Melissa too well not to see it.
“Mel, seriously,” you tell her, your thumb stroking over her forearm where your hand still rests on her arm.  “You’re the kindest, bravest, more passionate woman I’ve ever known, and I love you.  I love every bit of you.”
“I love you too,” she replies, trying not to let her own tears fall.  She quickly wipes her eyes with her free hand.  “Come on, the neighbours don’t need to see us crying in the car.  They’ll think we’re breaking up!”
You’re not letting her away so easily.  “But we’re okay?  You’re okay?”
She smiles at you.  A proper smile this time.  “Yeah,” she nods.  “We’re okay and I’m okay.”  With a squeeze of your hand, she slips out of the car, coming around to your side and opening your door for you.
“Well if it isn’t the hottest couple on the block!”
You both turn at the cheerful greeting, waving back at the elderly gentleman who lives across the street.  He’s known Melissa as a neighbour for decades, and apparently approves of you more than he has any of her previous partners.  He likes to playfully flirt with you every chance he gets, always chuckling at the raised eyebrow from the red head and winking at you when she gets possessive.
Melissa takes your hand and grins.  Your mother might be your flesh and blood, and there’s going to be some healing from this evening on both sides, but she’s one single, small minded woman.  There are bigger, better and happier things to focus on.
“And good evening to you too, Mr Rees.”
TW AGE GAP
Melanie’s dads chauffeur picks Melanie up after a night out and after not getting lucky at the club she’s hoping he’ll give her a good time instead, the problem is he doesn’t want to lose his job and there’s a clear age gap between them.
Aka
Melanie masturbates in the car and Harry watches her in the rear view mirror before deciding to finally fuck her.
AN: I imagined this as long haired harry while writing it but you can imagine whatever you want. Also, I don’t specify his age so you can imagine whatever age you’re comfortable with when it comes to the age gap part.
I watched as the long black limousine pulled up to the curb, punctual as always. After a long night out with the girls I was tired, tipsy and ready to go home. It was a warm October night in Hollywood and the hills were crowded with people trying to get into the popular nightclubs along the streets. Lucky for me, I was able to get in wherever I wanted, whenever I wanted despite only being eighteen. My dad is a part of Hollywood’s elite, he’s worked with countless movie stars and I was basically raised on a movie set. This gives me tons of benefits when it comes to socializing, I’m always on the VIP list and I’m always invited to movie premieres and other big Hollywood events.
Being raised by industry parents definitely has it’s perks but there are always several downsides to it. My parents raised me to always be polite, always be on my best behavior and to never lash out on people not matter how I really feel. This is usually not a problem because I am over all a quite happy person but with social media and the endless amount of haters and trolls on line testing my patience I sometimes have a hard time biting my own tongue.
”I guess I’ll see you Monday at school?” Josh, some random boy I met at the club said as he watched the limo pull up next to me on the curb.
”I guess.” I shrugged not really interested in seeing him on Monday or ever again. ”Thank you for tonight, I had a great time.” I lied as I turned to give Josh a brief hug. It wasn’t that I had a bad time, I just expected to have a better time, if you know what I mean. It’s pretty obvious that I’m not going home with him and honestly what’s the point of going clubbing if you’re not gonna get fucked afterwards?
”You too. Text me when you get home.” Josh smiled. He’s a great guy and we’ve been talking for a while now but things just aren’t doing it for me. When he asked me if I wanted to go out clubbing I thought for sure that this was going to be the night where I’d get laid which is why I put on my sexiest black dress and got all dolled up for the night.
I don’t have a problem getting laid, guys basically line themselves up for me and I’m not the one to tell them no, for the most part I’m not picky. I lost my virginity when I was sixteen and I’ve probably slept with like fifteen to twenty guys since then so it’s not like I’m ugly or anything. I just don’t understand why Josh didn’t make a move tonight, I guess he’s too nice and is hoping to take things slow but I honestly don’t have time for that.
I’m not looking for a relationship, I’m only eighteen and when you’re eighteen you’re supposed to go out, get drunk and have fun, not settle down and get married. My mother had me when she was only twenty and look at her now, she’s basically just working for my dad, taking care of the house and occasionally drinks wine with her friends. I don’t want to settle down at twenty only to have boring book club meetings with wine when I’m forty-five. I wanna live life.
The limousine driver stepped out of the driver’s seat and walked around to open the door for me. ”How are you tonight, Miss Dorsey?” The driver spoke politely.
”Didn’t I tell you to call me Melanie, or Mel for short?” I teasingly asked as I stepped into the vehicle.
”You did. I’m just trying to keep things formal.” My dad’s driver spoke politely. He was very well mannered despite his tossed up look.
”Well, don’t.” I corrected him with a soft, reassuring smile. He’s too hot to be calling me Miss Dorsey anyway, it sounds like he’s talking to my grandma.
Harry is one of dads newest drivers. He’s got this disheveled look to him where his slacks aren’t perfectly ironed, his dress shirt is always unbuttoned at the top and his long luscious curls are just messily pushed to the back. If I had to guess I would say he’s in his mid to late twenties and for me he ticks all the boxes. He’s got a great jawline, nice plump lips and beautiful green eyes and honestly I don’t need to know much more about him in order to fuck him.
”Where to Miss- I mean Mel?” Harry quickly tried to correct himself. Harry hasn’t formally introduced himself to me, I just happen to know his name by his name tag. My dad hired this company that sells chauffeur services so we’re not always guaranteed to get the same driver and I’ve only ever met Harry twice before but let me tell you the moment I laid my eyes on him, I knew I wanted him inside me.
”The beach house.” I responded ever so politely like my mother had taught me. Daddy has a beach house in Malibu and most of the time it sits empty which is perfect for me when I need to spend some time alone or get laid. My dad works late hours and early mornings so he pretty much barely sees me come and go and my mother goes everywhere with him as his personal assistant so I’m pretty much free to do whatever I want and as an only child I rarely get punished for anything.
”Yes ma’am.” Harry nodded as he looked at me through the rear view mirror.
I adjusted myself in the seat, pulling my short dress down to a comfortable position as I reached back to buckle my seatbelt. I could feel Harry’s eyes on me as I shifted slightly on top of the leather cushion, my legs tightly knit together in a lady-like manner. Of course I noticed his obvious staring but I pretended not too as the skirt ”accidentally” slipped back up over my thighs, revealing more and more of my bare skin.
”Can I ask for your opinion?” I innocently spoke as I looked back at Harry.
”Sure.” He replied, he seemed about as clueless as a mouse in a mousetrap.
”What do you think about this dress? Daddy says it’s a bit too short but I don’t know. Do you agree?” I asked, forcing him to look at me and the little black dress once again.
Harry nervously scratched his neck as he struggled to figure out the right answer. He could either agree with me and admit that he found the inappropriate dress flattering on me or he could disagree with me and upset his boss’ daughter.
”Uhm-” He choked out nervously as he tried not to stare at me for too long.
”Daddy doesn’t think it’s appropriate since I’m only eighteen but I mean, I’m an adult. What do you think Harry?” I asked as I bit the corner of my lip, my voice soft and innocent as I slowly batted my lashes at him in a flirtatious manner.
He choked out a hmpf as he heard my sweet innocent voice spell out his name. I was already dead set on getting this man into my bed. Josh’s disappointment really settled it for me, I don’t need high school boys in my life, I need real grown men that knows what I want and aren’t afraid of giving it to me.
”Uhm I think-” Harry nervously choked out as he was unable to tear his gaze away from the revealing dress and the curves of my body. ”It uh, it’s great.” He managed to spit out an answer after taking a long look at the way the dress hugged my large breasts and wide hips.
”I knew it. See my daddy is so old fashioned, like at this point I’m a grown woman I should be allowed to wear what I want.” I spoke with innocence laced over my voice. At this point Harry probably thought I was just drunk and rambling when really it was just a part of the seduction.
”Mhmm.” Harry hummed in agreement as he tried his best to hide his not so subtle gaze into the rear view mirror.
”Also, I’m so sorry I had to call you this late…” I politely apologized as I continued to reel Harry in with my sweet seduction. ”I was out with this guy, Josh, right… and he asked me to go clubbing with him but he didn’t even have the decency to give me a ride home or anything.” I continued to mindlessly rant to give off the appearance that I was slightly more drunk than I really was, mostly because if my seduction didn’t work I could just blame everything on the alcohol and avoid completely embarrassment.
I’ve slept with older guys before but not guys that are this much older, they’ve usually just been a year or two older, college guys at best. So I’m kind of new to this whole, seducing older men technique and if it fails I’ll probably just stick to college guys because they’re the easiest target anyway.
”Of course, no worries.” Harry responded while flashing me a polite smile.
I leaned forward in my seat, my elbows now resting on my knees as I sat behind Harry. I could inhale his scent and smell the sweet scent of his cologne as I breathed softly behind him.
”Josh really wasn’t gonna do it for me anyway…” I continued to speak, now in a low seductive voice as I was right behind Harry in his seat. ”I think I need a real man to satisfy me.” I whispered right behind Harry’s head rest. I’m sure he could feel my heavy breath against his neck at this point and it was almost like I could taste his skin and see the little neck hairs rise as he realized what I was doing.
His initial reaction was to nervously cough as he kept his eyes on the road, for a second he pretended like he didn’t hear me although I’m pretty sure he heard me loud and clear.
”It’s so hard to find a real man these days…” I continued to rant in my low seductive voice, playing it off like I was a little too drunk when in reality I was dead serious and knew exactly what I was doing. ”All these high school boys don’t know how to treat a woman right, you know?” I continued to drunkenly swoon into Harry’s ear to the point where he could no longer act like he didn’t hear me. ”I bet you know how to treat a woman right…” I continued to speak lowly. ”Bet you know just the right way to satisfy me…” I sing-sang drunkenly as I leaned forward as close to Harry’s ear as I possible could with the headrest separating us.
”Miss Dorsey!” Harry tried to interrupt me with another loud cough.
”Oh c’mon.” I dismissed his nervous cough. ”I know you want to.” I cooed teasingly as I looked at him through the rear view mirror, his green eyes nervously shifting across the empty road as he tried his best to ignore my advances.
”I think you’ve had a little bit too much to drink Miss Dorsey.” Harry politely and professionally declined.
”I see the way you look at me.” I ignored his exclamation as I continued to whisper sweetly into his ear with my seductive voice.
”I can’t. Your dad would fire me.” Harry choked out, quietly admitting that he wanted to and the only thing stopping him was my dad. ”I’d lose my job!”
”Daddy doesn’t have to know.” I whispered softly into his ear. ”It’ll be our little secret.” I cooed ever so sweetly as I breathed heavily against Harry’s neck.
”No, no, no, no.” Harry called out loudly as if he’d snapped back into his senses and before I could know it, the little seductive games were over. ”You’re just drunk.” Harry called out dismissively as he leaned forward and pressed the little button that activated the separating privacy wall between us.
Suddenly I was left alone in the backseat, I let out a sigh as I leaned back into my seat and crossed my arms in disappointment. Damn, this night’s going so well, I thought to myself as I looked out at the dark night. Malibu is like a thirty minute drive from the hills and now I’m stuck in a car with a man that doesn’t want to fuck me and I’m mostly likely just gonna have to go to bed once I get home, what a successful night.
I might as well kick off my shoes, I thought to myself as I shrugged out of the tight leather hells. I already had blisters on the back of my foot and the top of my pinky toe. I looked down at my painted toe nails and shrugged as I put them up in the air to restore my blood flow. My feet and legs were aching from the heels being worn all night and the blisters were already red and bruised, matching the color of my nails.
I felt my skirt ride up my thighs and butt as I adjusted in my seat. My feet were now placed on the back of the privacy wall as I somewhat laid down in the backseat. My pussy was aching for attention and since this night was such a disaster I figured I would have to take matters into my own hands at this point.
I let one of my hands slide down between my legs, hoping that the simple touch would somehow soothe my pussy’s aching need for attention but it wasn’t good enough. It had been screaming for attention all night and with twenty minutes left of the drive, I wasn’t sure if I could wait until we got home.
My hand rubbed against the thin fabric of my panties over and over again in a soothing manner hoping that the burning ache between my legs would calm down just enough for me to make it home. I closed my eyes and let out a sigh as I continued to rub my hand over my clothed pussy. I thought about what a disappointing night it had been a how I’d rather have a real proper cock in me than having to down this on my own later tonight. Without dwelling too much on the fact that neither Josh or Harry wanted to fuck me, I thought about how good it was going to feel to finally get home and be able to properly touch my pussy and maybe I’d take a long nice shower and play with the shower head or find a nice pillow to grind my pussy against, anything that would soothe the aching need between my legs.
”Fuck.” I moaned quietly as I thought about making myself come. I realized that I don’t need a guy to come, I could just fuck myself with whatever object was available to me whether it be my own hands, a hot shower head or a firm pillow, maybe having to take care of things myself wasn’t the worst thing that could happen in the world.
As I continued to rub myself through my panties my mind wandered away from the endless possibilities of self-pleasuring to actually having a cock inside me. I wonder what Harry would be like in bed, he’s so much older than me and probably more experienced. He’s probably got a real good cock and knows how to use it properly unlike the boys at my school.
”Fuck!” I moaned again at the thought of Harry’s cock entering my wet, needy little teen pussy. I bet men his age fantasize about fucking young teens like me all the time, after all there’s a reason for teen 18+ being the top category on Pornhub.
”Everything okay, miss?” Harry asked and my eyes shot open as I was interrupted by his voice. The private wall was slowly pushed back down and I didn’t have enough time to hide what was actually going on behind the curtains as Harry looked at me through the rear view mirror.
”Mhmm.” I moaned deciding to not even bother hiding what I was doing since he already thought I was too drunk to function at this point.
Instead of hiding my rubbing motions, I continued to move my hand between my legs. The privacy wall was now down and I had to place my feet back on the ground, causing me to shift further in my seat. I spread my legs wide enough to give Harry a clear view of what I was doing as his eyes kept lingering on the rear view mirror.
My fingers pushed the thin cotton fabric of my panties to the side to expose the delicate parts between my legs. I trailed my fingertips gently against my moist slit as I refused to look away form Harry’s eyes in the rear view mirror. He was watching me and I knew it. If he wasn’t gonna fuck me, the least I could do was put on a good show to show him what he’s missing out on.
I bit the corner of my lip as I played with my wet pussy. My fingers danced across the soft, warm skin as I leaned back in my seat. Heavy breaths exited my mouth and filled the air as I gently rubbed my clit in circles, soothing the aching needs within me.
”Fuck…” I moaned once again as I finally, after some light teasing, slid one of my fingers inside me.
Harry watched through the rear view mirror as I kept touching and teasing myself in the backseat. He tried to ignore my heavy breathing and pretended like he was too busy focusing on the road. Feeling bold and brave, I pushed another finger into my tight aching pussy, my hips grinding slowly against the leather seat as my own digits filled me up.
”Don’t you wanna fuck this tight little pussy, Harry?” I moaned as I began to move my fingers inside me. I could see Harry’s green orbs shift around the rear view mirror as I began to fuck myself in the back seat. The sound of my slick fingers slipping in and out of my sopping wet pussy echoed through the large car as I leaned back, spreading my knees further apart to give Harry and even better view. ”I know you want to feel how tight my little teen pussy feels wrapped around your big cock.” I continued to moan as I looked at Harry through the mirror.
My fingers slid into my pussy with ease, I’d been needy for something inside me all night and now that I finally got it, I wasn’t gonna stop any time soon. Harry could either enjoy the show or ignore it. Regardless, I was dead set on making myself come.
”Oh fuck, it feels so good.” I moaned as I pushed another finger into my mouth to playfully suck on it while Harry’s eyes nervously shifted between the road and the rear view mirror. ”I could really use a big fucking cock to stretch me out properly.” I continued to talk dirty as I looked straight into the rear view mirror while sucking on my finger.
The sucking on a finger trick usually does wonders because guys can’t help but to imagine it being their own cock and it drives them crazy, for me it works all the time. Harry stayed silent as he watched me devour my own finger with my mouth, my tongue licking at it as if it was a big juicy popsicle. He pressed his lips into a thin line as I continued to moan for him in the backseat.
”I bet you’ve got a nice, big cock for me to suck on.” I moaned as I continued to make playful sucking noises around my finger.
”Melanie-” Harry tried to object, the sigh in his voice indicating his frustration as he forced my name to spill out of his gritted teeth.
”I won’t tell daddy a thing, I promise.” I moaned as I pressed another finger into my mouth. With two fingers thrusting into my pussy and two fingers playfully grinding into my mouth I closed my eyes and continued to touch and devour myself the way my body deserved to be devoured. ”I know you’re thinking about it, please, just let me have your cock.” I pleaded softly as I continued to suck on my fingers, my mind imagining that they were actually Harry’s cock.
”I can’t lose my job over this!” Harry huffed in frustration, rejecting my request and all of my advances even though I knew that deep down inside he wanted me.
”C’mon, I won’t tell anyone.” I pleaded innocently. ”I’m so fucking wet and needy, please, I just need a cock in me.” I pleaded like the sweet innocent girl I’d been before.
”Uhm- just-” Harry frustrated tried to somehow save himself from this situation but there was nowhere for him to go. He was trapped in the car with me for another fifteen minutes and I sure was determined to make them a living hell for him.
”Please Harry-” I whined softly as I continued to play with my pussy for him at full view. His green orbs focusing more on the rear view mirror than the road at this point. ”I bet all those other boys can’t give it to me like you can.” I moaned as I looked at him through the mirror.
I could hear him swallow hard, the gulp being the only audible noise inside the car except for the sound of my wet pussy.
Harry didn’t respond. He kept quiet and I was really impressed by his self-control. Older men tend to have more self-control compared to high school boys so I really shouldn’t be surprised. I didn’t need Harry to respond to keep the show going though.
I continued to finger myself all the way home, edging myself to tease myself properly in front of Harry but also to prolong the pleasure my body was finally experiencing. I hadn’t masturbated with anyone else before and the thrill of having someone watching me definitely was quite the turn on. I could see why people do live cam shows and shit like that because knowing that someone is watching you touch yourself definitely adds some spice to the situation.
When the car finally came to a stop Harry jumped out as if nothing had happened and I let out a sigh as I realized the fun was almost over. The door next to me opened up but I refused to remove my fingers from my dripping pussy, it felt too good and I was too worked up to just stop in the middle of it all.
”You sure you don’t wanna fuck me?” I asked, hoping that he would finally give in to my temptations and rail me in the backseat.
Harry stood by the door in silence, his hand holding a firm grip on the edge of the door as he waited for me to step out, but instead I just shifted in my seat as I flailed my legs out of the door opening and spread them wide for him to watch my fingers slide deeper into my wet little hole.
”My pussy feels so tight and warm around my fingers.” I whispered as I spread my pussy lips apart so he could watch me fuck myself for him. I was dripping all the way onto the leather seat and I could feel my thighs clench in anticipation as I kept edging myself, my fingers moving in long, slow strokes to keep my pussy satisfied by not overwhelmed. ”If you’re not gonna fuck me, can I at least see your dick?” I tried to bargain as if this was some kind of negotiation. ”I could just come from the sight of it.” I moaned as I bit the corner of my lip.
”Get out.” Harry spoke through gritted teeth, his voice filled with frustration rather than anger and I could tell he was losing his self-control at this point.
”But I’m so close.” I whined in protest as I used my other hand to rub over my clit. Both my hands worked hard to get myself off and I didn’t wanna stop until I had a proper orgasm. ”Maybe if I could just have a little peak, that would make me come.” I batted my lashes at him innocently, hoping that it would drive him mad enough to give into my needs.
”Melanie-” Harry’s voice was stern and determined as he tapped his fingers against the door in frustration.
”Mmm you sound so hot when you say my name like that.” I continued to ignore Harry’s requests. ”I like it.” I moaned in return as I stubbornly continued my little masturbation show for Harry. ”Say it again!” I panted heavily as I looked up into Harry’s green eyes. He gritted his teeth against each other as he pressed his mouth into a thin line while I was testing his patience. He looked so hot all riled up and angry like this.
”Get out of the car, Melanie.” Harry spoke again with a firm voice as he clenched his fist around the door. He looked like he was about to pry it open even further, breaking it off it’s handles as he pressed his clenched fist around the edge of it.
”Wow, you sound just like my daddy.” I moaned tauntingly. ”So serious.”
”Get! Out!” Harry tried once more as I continued to test his patience the way I used to test my daddy’s patience when I was a little girl.
”Make me, Daddy.” I moaned as I slid my fingers up to my mouth to suck my own pussy juices off of them. It was once again time for the finger trick. I batted my innocent lashes at Harry as I sucked my fingers off with soft moans escaping my lips at the same time. I refused to break eye contact as I pretended like my fingers were his sweet cock. My tongue devoured the taste of my own pussy as I swirled it on top of my fingers and all over their creases.
Harry was just about to pull me out of the car when I let out a soft giggle. His strong wrist grabbed a tight hold of my arm as he tried to yank me out of the vehicle but I refused to give in that easily. I did my best to resist but he was too strong and suddenly I was pulled to my bare feet and stood on the concrete outside my parents Malibu home.
”So rough, I like it.” I cooed teasingly as Harry held me firmly by my arm. I used my free hand to touch Harry all over his body, my hand squeezing his tight shoulders and running it’s way all the way down his torso and in between his legs. He released a sharp gasp as I squeezed his cock between my small, delicate fingers and I released another soft giggle as his green eyes widened in surprise at my forwardness.
”Listen, you’re gonna go inside and we’re never gonna speak of this again!” Harry ordered me firmly.
”You can’t tell me what to do, you’re not my daddy.” I fought back as I tried to withdraw my arm from his tight grip.
”I don’t care, you’re gonna do as I say.” Harry’s firm voice sent chills down my spine.
”And if I don’t?” I questioned him like the stubborn little girl I am. It became very apparent that Harry didn’t have an answer for that and a cheeky grin appeared on my lips as I realized that. ”What if I tell daddy?” I sing-sang tauntingly as I stared back at Harry.
”Tell him what?” Harry asked confused. ”That you inappropriately came onto me, one of his employees?”
”What if I lie?” I grinned, I wouldn’t lie to get anyone in trouble, I just wanted to see his reaction. ”Don’t act like you didn’t like it…” I whispered seductively. ”I know you liked watching me play with myself otherwise your cock wouldn’t be so fucking hard right now.” I whispered the words into Harry’s ears as my small, delicate hand squeezed tightly around the clear bulge in his pants. ”Now, you either give me what I want or I’ll tell daddy what a bad employee you are.” I moaned as I rubbed my hand over Harry’s thick bulge. Some would find this strategy manipulative and wrong but I don’t think you can call it manipulation when you know the other person really wants it as well, I’d call it encouragement.
”You’re such a needy little girl, aren’t you?” Harry said as he squeezed my arm tighter and pushed me roughly up against the car.
”Mhmm.” I choked out a moan as the back of my body hit the car with force. My eyes stared into Harry’s wild green eyes as I watched him finally give into his desires. His free hand pushed itself between my legs and directly against my bare pussy. He rubbed his whole hand against my slit and I let out a soft moan as I felt myself crumble weak at my knees by his single touch.
”Is this what you wanted?” Harry asked as he moved his hand firmly between my legs, coating his palm in my juices as he pushed me up against the car. His other hand moved up my arm, over my chest where he squeezed my breasts tightly and up over my collarbones to my neck. He placed his hand over my neck as his thumb gently caressed my skin and I released a heavy breathe, intimidated and turned on by his rough touch at the same time.
”Yes!” I whimpered as Harry grabbed a hold of my neck. I rolled my head back as I felt two of his fingers slide into my wet core. His hand continued to caress my neck in a soft, tender manner as he slid his fingers slowly in and out of me.
Suddenly as he picked up his pace, his fingers pumped into my with rough motions and the soft grip around my neck transformed into a proper chokehold.
”Speak up!” Harry ordered as he repeated his question. ”Is this what your needy little pussy wanted?”
”Yes!” I choked out loudly between his rough thrusts. ”Fuck yes.” I whimpered loudly as he put me in place using his rough hands. This is exactly what I wanted, a man who could fucking put me in my place and fuck me senseless at the same time.
”You’re such a needy little brat huh? So fucking spoiled and used to getting everything you want all the time huh?” Harry spoke in a low, dominant voice through his gritted teeth as he held me in place by my neck.
”Mhmm. Daddy always gives me everything I want” I hummed in agreement. ”Are you gonna give me what I want Harry?” I moaned as I used my free hand to caress his hard cock through his slacks. I could feel how big he was through the thick fabric and my mouth was already watering at the thought of having him inside me.
”Are you gonna be a good girl?” Harry asked in return as he continued to finger fuck me with his palm rubbing gently against my sore clit.
”Yes.” I mewled softly. ”I’ll be good, I promise.” I moaned as I looked deep into his mesmerizing green eyes and bit the corner of my lip. ”Please, I need your cock.” I moaned as I rubbed my hand firmly over his thick, long shaft.
”There we go again, always so needy Melanie.” Harry tskd at me, shaming me for being the desperate little whore I was.
He grabbed me by my hips and tossed me back into the backseat of the car, wasting no time he swiftly undid his pants and pulled his boxers down to his ankles before climbing on top of me.
”Spread your legs!” Harry ordered firmly. He pushed the small skirt of my little black dress up to my stomach and pulled my panties completely off of me before aligning himself by my entrance.
”Got such a pretty little pussy.” Harry mumbled as he rubbed his cock against my wet slit.
I let out a soft gasp as I watched him hover over me, his large body completely over maneuvering my small frame.
”Please!” I whimpered as I felt Harry’s thick shaft coat itself in my juices, the tip of his swollen hard cock rubbing against my clit, making me writhe in frustration on top of the leather seat.
Harry grabbed a hold of my thick thighs, he yanked my body further down to the edge of the seat as he himself stood up in the doorway. He grabbed both my legs and pushed himself inside me, his large cock filling me up inch by inch as I laid on top of the car seat.
”Oh fuck!” I moaned as I felt his cock stretch me out properly. His big, thick shaft, pushing all the way inside my tight little cunt. ”It’s so big.” I whimpered as I felt my walls hug his entire length inside me.
”Fuck, that’s a wet pussy.” Harry groaned as he looked down between my legs, watching his entire cock disappear inside my tight hole.
”Yeah.” I moaned as I looked up at him with doe eyes. ”I want you to fuck my tight little teen pussy until I come all over your cock.” I moaned as I reached down to rub my clit to relieve some of the aching pain his massive cock was giving me.
Harry wasted no time. He was quick to move inside me and my pussy quickly got used to having him inside me. He thrusted into me with long, grinding strokes as he stood by the door opening. His hands caressed my legs and squeezed my thighs as he rocked into my body where I laid on top of the black leather seat, my tits jiggling and my butt rubbing against the seat.
”Holy fuck.” I moaned as I continued to rub my hand over my clit, my body already aching for a release since I’d been edging myself on the entire car ride home. ”You feel so fucking good.” I moaned loudly as I let my eyes roll back into my head. ”You fuck my tight little pussy so good.” I groaned as I felt his cock push deep into me.
Harry let out a series of loud grunts and groans as he grabbed a hold of my ankles and pulled my feet up onto his shoulders. His cock kept drilling into me as I laid in front of him completely at his mercy. He knew exactly what I wanted and he was giving it to me raw.
”Have you ever fucked a pussy this tight before?” I swooned as I felt his cock twitch inside me. I could feel every inch of him pushing my walls back and filling me up to the brim. I’d never felt so full before in my entire life. ”Fuck, your cock feels so good stretching me out like this.” I moaned as I looked down, my eyes watching his cock burying itself inside my aching pussy. It was a beautiful sight to watch his hips collide with my body.
Harry held onto my legs as he continued to thrust into me, he grabbed my hips and pulled me even closer to the edge, allowing him to get deeper inside me as I continued to moan out loud in pure bliss.
”More!” I whimpered loudly. ”I need more.” I moaned at the top of my lungs as Harry continued to slam into me.
”Such a needy little brat.” Harry mumbled as he grabbed my legs and pushed them off his shoulders. He pushed them back and forced me to grab a hold of my own knees as he pressed his hands back against the back of my thighs. At this point he was folding me up like a lawn chair but I couldn’t care less as long as I got to feel his big cock inside me.
He scoot me back on the seat to give my back some support before he hovered me missionary style. I whimpered out loud as I felt how deep his cock could enter me with this position. I mewled and purred like a sweet kitten as I felt his cock enter me with long, rough strokes while he topped me.
”Oh fuck!” I stuttered in complete awe at how deep he was inside me. I’d never been fucked like this before and holy shit it felt so fucking good I never wanted it to stop. ”Just like that, fuck me right there.” I moaned as Harry’s continued with his long strokes, his large cock accidentally leaving my hole empty a few times as he pulled back too much.
”I keep slipping out because you’re so fucking wet.” Harry groaned as his hot mouth hovered over my face, his eyes looking down at me as I laid with my bare body beneath him.
”Mmm, my pussy’s been this wet all night, just aching for a cock like yours.” I moaned as I looked up at Harry. He flashed me a cheeky grin as he continued to pound into me with long rough strokes, his hips colliding hard with the back of my thighs and the sound of our bodies colliding echoing through the whole limo.
”Happy now?” Harry grinned teasingly as he looked down at the mess between my legs. He watched as his thick cock buried itself in my dripping wet mess of a hole, his eyes shifting slightly as he finally noticed how fiercely and desperately I was rubbing my own clit to make myself come.
”Mhmmm.” I moaned a long, dragged out moan as I too watched his cock completely devour me and my aching pussy. Harry was quick to replace my hand with his own and I let out a loud sigh as I felt his large fingers press against my sensitive nub. ”Fuck, you really know what you’re doing.” I moaned as Harry swirled his fingers over my clit in perfect sync with his long, hard thrusts.
”Yeah, did you expect me not to?” Harry asked, his eyebrow arched slightly at me in a cocky manner.
I mean, boys my age barely know there is a clit.
”No.” I replied quietly as I watched him skillfully manipulate my clit with his fingers.
”Do I look like the kind of guy that doesn’t know what he’s doing?” Harry continued teasingly as he looked down at me with a skeptical look on his face.
”No.” I once again replied shyly.
”You shy all of a sudden?” Harry asked with a grin on his lips. ”You were talking all that big girl talk before and now you’re shy?” He tskd at me as he flickered his fingers around my clit, making me gasp out loud.
”No, it’s just-” I choked out as I felt his fingers violently assault my clit in the best way possible, sending multiple shivers down my spine.
”It’s just what?” Harry continued to taunt me as he watched me come undone beneath his warm touch.
”You’re making me feel so good.” I whined in defeat as I watched his cock bury itself inside me. I wasn’t gonna lie my legs were starting to ache but he was fucking me too good for me to give a fuck.
”Right…” Harry rolled his eyes at me. ”You gonna be a good girl and show me what big girls do with their big mouths?” Harry asked as he removed his fingers from my clit and placed them against my bottom lip. I nodded obediently as I parted my lips for him to slide his fingers inside my wet mouth.
He pressed his fingertips against my tongue as I tasted the sweet taste of myself. His cock continued to pump me good, making my legs and everything between my legs ache while I worked my magic around Harry’s fingers, my mouth treating them as if it was his cock.
He let out a soft groan as he watched my tongue play with his digits, his eyes focusing on my plump lips as I brushed them all over his soft, warm skin. I released several loud moans against his fingers as I felt his cock hit my g-spot at the perfect angle. I’d never tried this position before but it was now becoming one of my favorites.
”You like that?” I whispered as I playfully wiggled my tongue between Harry’s two fingers, my mouth creating enough saliva for me to dribble all over the palm of his hand if he wanted me to.
”Yeah.” Harry groaned as he felt my tight pussy clench around him. ”Your pussy feels so good.” Harry moaned as he continued to fuck me deeply.
”Don’t you wish you’d given in sooner?” I moaned teasingly as I looked at Harry. This could’ve been all yours from the moment we met.” I admitted as I looked up into his eyes.
”Your dad would kill me-” Harry argued as he looked down at me.
”Let’s make sure he doesn’t find out.” I whispered back.
”Especially since you’re eighteen.” Harry added.
”But that’s what makes it exciting for you.” I argued back. ”Fucking the boss’ eighteen year old daughter is what’s got your cock so fucking hard right now isn’t it? Me being your bratty little slut and showing my pussy off for you while you’re still on duty is what got you this fucking horny, isn’t it?” I whispered as I buried my hands in Harry’s long curls, pulling and tugging at them as he made me feel so damn good with his body. ”Admit it!” I ordered as I looked up into Harry’s eyes.
”Fine.” Harry groaned quietly as he looked down at me. ”It does make things hotter.” He admitted quietly as he stared down at me.
”Don’t worry, I’m not gonna tell daddy anything. I’m a good girl, remember?” I whispered teasingly as I arched my eyebrow at Harry. ”You can fuck this tight, young pussy anytime you want.” I cooed teasingly as I pulled at his hair.
”Oh God!” Harry cussed under his breath as he looked at me.
”What?” I asked teasingly. ”Isn’t that what you want Harry? My parents still think I’m a virgin so I’m not gonna tell them we fucked.” I tried to reassure Harry that if this kept going, it would be our little secret. ”I bet you wish I was still a virgin too.” I smirked as I looked up at him with my doe eyes. ”Bet you wish you were the first one to fuck my innocent little virgin cunt.” I continued to rant as I watched Harry struggle to hold back his moans. I could tell that he was thinking about it, that he wanted so badly to fuck my innocent little virgin pussy but it was way too late for that and everyone knows that, except maybe my father who still thinks I’m as pure as a white sheet.
”Fuck-” Harry groaned as he felt my pussy clench tightly around him. My legs shivering as my pussy pulsated around his thick cock. ”You’re gonna have to stop talking or this will be over all too soon.” Harry growled as he felt my walls clench harder and harder with every thrust.
”Make me.” I whispered teasingly as I grabbed his wrist and guided his hand back to my neck where it had rested before.
Harry took that as a clear signal for him to put his hand back around my neck and add pressure. He added just enough pressure to where he managed to hold me firmly in place and I was able to grasp for air, my mouth mewling and whimpering in delight but no actual words were able to come out.
Harry continued to drill into me with full force and it didn’t take long for the pulsating waves of pleasure inside my pussy to spread all over my body. I forcefully let out a loud whimper despite Harry’s choke hold as he made me come long and hard around his cock.
”Fuck me!” I cussed loudly as waves of pleasure ripped through my body. ”Fuck, it feels so good.”
”Holy fuck!” Harry grunted loudly as he pushed deep into my pussy, feeling my walls hug him tightly with every stroke of his cock. He slammed into me balls deep before pulling all the way out and then pushing back in again. He purposely pulled all the way out, leaving me empty handed, breathless and whimpering like a needy brat.
”Jesus fucking Christ.” Harry groaned as he continued to pump his cock deep inside me over and over again until finally when he swiftly pulled out and didn’t push back in again. Instead, he grabbed a hold of his cock and used his hand to stroke it as quickly as he possibly could while shooting his hot load all over my sore pussy. I watched as the come landed perfectly on my wet pussy and my hand instinctively reached down to rub the results of his orgasm all over my pussy. Harry let out a loud groan as he continued to milk his cock on every last drop of come, covering my glistening skin in all of it as I used both of my hands so spread it all over my warm body.
Dear Diary,
I'm sorry I haven't written in you for a while. In the past few weeks, something wonderful happened… and I have been otherwise occupied with this new, incredible thing. I can't stop smiling as I begin to write this. I would like to start from the beginning so I may paint the full picture for myself to recall as I grow older.
My best friend Imelda and I have been growing close lately. After my last break-up, she encouraged me to stay single for a while. I had been dating back to back as you can see in my previous diary entries. But, something about the way she was almost begging me to turn down Andrew Larson’s invitation for dinner made me seriously consider it. I took her advice and decided I would stay single for a bit longer to really help remind myself of who I am.
She was happy when I told her this, telling me she always hated all my boyfriends, that they didn’t deserve me. I smiled at that, remembering a time when she wouldn’t have spoken so freely to me. It used to be low blows and curt comments from her, but now, since we’ve grown as friends and I earned her respect on a broom, I’ve been privy to how she truly feels.
Two weeks ago, it was girls night. We planned a sleepover in my dorm room over the holiday. All my other roommates were gone for the extended weekend back home and Imelda and I took full advantage of the privacy, making a pillow fort by my bed and reading to one another out of the fantasy book floating around the Slytherin girl’s dorms. The book was something someone brought from back home, a muggle story where the main character was female and went on all these badass adventures. It's now Imelda's favorite.
She braided my hair, a bit too tight I might add, I had to loosen it to stop the headache from forming, and I manicured her nails. She keeps them short for her quidditch matches and I made sure to add a tiny heart to both her thumbnails in black paint.
When it came time for sleeping, we both changed into our pajamas and tucked into my bed for the night. We could hardly stop chatting even long after the lights were out. Imelda was so giggly this night, in a better mood than I had seen her in a while. Her laugh was contagious and I couldn’t help but share it.
We found ourselves tangled up, giggling about nothing and everything late into the night. There was a moment, just one, where I felt a shift in our dynamic. She looked at me, her legs twisted with mine, her hand sliding through my hair, and she just stared into my eyes. I didn’t know what to do. The laughing had died down and I supposed she was growing tired as the hours went on.
“Good night, then…” I finally said, breaking whatever tension had begun to build around us. I pulled up the blanket and snuggled my head into the pillow.
I saw her face go from bright and cheery to dark and stormy in a nanosecond. She huffed a ‘night’ to me and turned away. My forehead creased at the sudden change in her demeanor. Had I done something wrong? I scoured my mind thinking of the entire evening all the way up until this moment.
“Imelda… Is everything alright? We were just laughing moments ago.” I tried, my heart swirling with fear that I had somehow caused a rift to develop between us. I reached out to touch her arm, the one my hands had already been all over this evening to provide her comfort.
"You didn't do anything wrong..." She mumbles. Her voice was wavering and a piece of my heart broke.
I rubbed her arm with more confidence. “You know you can always talk to me about anything. We’re best friends.” I used my most reassuring voice. “I’m here for you.” There was a distinct sniff that came from Imelda so I immediately wrapped her in my arms and held her to my chest. “You can talk to me about anything, Mel. I mean it.”
She didn’t cry as I held her, she fought off the tears as best as she could. I could feel the war inside her body as she held back, trembling and squeezing her eyes shut. She was always so strong and I wanted to allow her the space to feel whatever emotion she was feeling if she was in the mood to express it.
After some time, she calmed and her breath became even. Imelda finally rolled over, looking at me. The light from the window spilled over her features and I gave her a small smile. “What has got you so worked up?” I asked. I was waiting for a spitfire answer but she just stared at me again with those big brown eyes.
 She wrapped her arms around me and I did the same to her. We shared her pillow while I rubbed her back. She adjusted herself and my hand went a bit too far, grazing her backside.
“Sorry,” I said, pulling my hand back. The blanket’s slid down cooling off the body heat between us.
She smirked and grabbed my hand, placing it on her thigh. “It’s fine. You can touch me anywhere.”
My fingers rested on her exposed skin, a bit higher than proper since her sleep shorts were riding up. I froze, unsure of what kind of joke this was. She teased me constantly, but never like this. Her toes grazed my foot as she brought her leg closer to me.
“What… do you mean by that?” I asked, hand still stiff on her exposed skin.
She took in a deep breath. “I mean what I said.”
She didn’t elaborate and I found my thumb sliding in small circles on her thigh. Chilled bumps rose and I gently squeezed her thigh where it transitioned into the swell of her ass. My mind felt blank as I did this, driven by a tiny voice inside my head for more. Her skin was soft and warm and she smelled of the same floral soap I used.
“Hey,” Imelda said, cupping my face and taking me out of the trance I was in. “If I am wrong, please tell me...”
I watched as she slowly inched forward. I looked down at her dark rosy lips, slightly parting as they neared mine. I leaned forward and our noses brushed, her breath fanned over my cheeks, then our lips met. I didn’t feel confused like I thought I should, kissing another woman. Instead, I felt free, like I was soaring. As Imelda tilted her head to deepen the kiss, I found my hand traveling up and down her form.
I’ve never felt the spark most people describe when kissing a lover. It's always been just that, two lips touching. But this… it felt right in every way possible. The way her lips quivered pressing into mine sent a bolt straight through me. What was once a cup of the face to pull one close was now a caress of affection and devotion, and what used to be groping and foreplay was a gentle escapade to explore one another for the sake of admiration and longing.
The entire world could be burning just outside but it wouldn’t even compare to the sudden passion that was set ablaze in my heart for her, for my best friend. Imelda lay back on the bed and pulled me with her. Her tongue darted into my mouth and I couldn't suppress the noise that escaped me. Now this, this was the feeling I'd been seeking all my life in the arms of another. I smiled into her kiss realizing it had been within my reach this whole time.
I touched her soft hair and slid my fingers down to her waist. I felt her curves and the strong muscles underneath from her many sporting practices. I then dared to move my hand up her stomach, splaying my fingers out to feel all of her. She had given me permission to touch her, but I wanted to give her a chance to change her mind. The closer I got to her chest the more her breathing picked up.
I cupped her breast in my hand and felt jubilant when she moaned for me. I was falling apart, breaking and shattering, and being rebuilt by her touches and sounds. I squeezed her breast again, the thin layer of her sleep shirt leaving nothing to the imagination, and rubbed my thumb over the soft peak. Her body came alive for me, her nipple hardening under my touch. I groaned into the kiss, a new feeling sweeping over me knowing I had this effect on her.
She was my best friend, my closest ally, and here she was, moaning and rubbing her body against mine as we tangled together, pining for more of my touch. I wondered if she was just as turned on as I was. I felt the heat between my legs and couldn't get over the idea that maybe she was just as turned on too.
"Imelda" I breathed "May I… uh" I tugged at her sleep shorts, the thin fabric stretching as I did.
She started kicking them off in a flurry. "Gods, yes."
I helped her out of her shorts and panties. On a roll, I pulled off her top and she tugged mine off too. Her hands cupped my newly exposed breast and her lips moved to kiss my nipple. A jolt of pleasure shot through me at the soft yet pleasurable sensation.
I moved my hand to her thighs and pushed until she parted for me. I had been trembling but nothing like this as my hand made its way up her leg. I felt embarrassed by the shaking but adrenaline was making its way through my veins in a frenzy. Imelda whimpered when my fingers grazed her center. My breath caught when my digit ran down her slit and found her so wet.
"I want to taste you." I gently pushed her to lay flat on her back again. "Please, please Imelda. Say yes," I begged, the warmth of her slick on my fingers causing me to lose my mind.
"Yes!" She pushed on my head until I was between her thighs. A smirk grew on my lips seeing her beautiful personality come out, the one I'd grown to love.
I pushed her legs apart, looking at the sight before me. Fuck, she was perfect. Every ounce of her body was beautifully and wonderfully made just for me, it felt. I used my thumb to reveal her clit and sighed when the nub was just as pink and swollen as I'd hoped.
Imelda groaned and rocked her hips, bucking against nothing. I ran my finger down the seam and met her entrance. Effortlessly, my finger slid inside. Her walls were silky smooth as they flexed around my intruding digit.
"That's enough teasing." Imelda decided.
I nodded. "I'm sorry, I will take time to explore you more later" I apologized, giving her clit a soft kiss.
Imelda groaned and tangled her hand in my hair again, pushing until my mouth was fully on her pussy. I licked and pressed my tongue down, feeling the bud roll over my tongue and give way to pressure. Imelda was practically panting the more I lapped at her clit
I circled my lips over the swelled clit and sucked lightly until her breath hitched. I used my tongue to swirl in circles until her legs were trembling around me. Her moans and reactions were all I could have ever wanted from her. I let up, giving her clit a momentary break while I moved down her cunt to taste the wetness unfolding. The taste was like no other. I groaned as I ventured more into the source.
I pressed my tongue flat and ran it all along the seam of her pussy. I gripped her rocking hips, keeping her at the perfect angle for my mouth. Imelda yelled my name with a string of curses and began to arch off the bed.
She didn't have to tell me, I knew, I could tell how close she was in the way her body amped up. I focused on her clit again, slipping my finger back inside her and rubbing circles over her g-spot. She was pulling at my hair, anchoring my face to rub her clit all over my tongue in a desperate manner.
I had never been so turned on in my life than when her moans became lewd and her cunt throbbed around my finger. I had known her for so long, I thought I’d known everything about her. But, this was very new. The way she whimpered my name, her lewd low moans, how she arched forward, keeping eye contact with me as pleasure pulsed through her. I reached up, cupping her breast in my hand and rubbing to add just a hint more pleasure to her euphoric moment.
When she came down, I kissed all over her thighs. I moved up her stomach and kissed her breasts again. I moved to her neck and tasted her skin and a hint of sweat.
She gasped and wrapped her arms around me, hugging me tight to her warm body. We lay like that for a long moment before I was pushed down, looking up at her.
It was my turn, then it was her turn again… then my turn again, over and over until the sun filled the bedroom.
We got about 45 minutes of sleep before we decided it was fruitless and got up for the day.
We took a shower together, and I got to wash her beautiful hair for her. She helped clean me off with the wash rag getting every inch of me clean. We made-out in the shower under the warm running water. I told her how beautiful she was and got to watch her cheeks blush in the light for the first time. She rolled her eyes playfully and pulled me in for an even hotter kiss.
We floated through breakfast and held hands under the table. We didn't leave each other's company until days later for her first mandatory quidditch practice began. The holiday break was over and classes would be starting up again soon.
I sat outside the quidditch pitch studying to get a head start on various classes until she was done. The next time I saw her, she had her hair back in a low ponytail and wore her green quidditch uniform.
She had a single yellow flower in her hand as she joined me on the lawn. She offered it to me, twirling it in her fingers, with one question "Will you be my girlfriend?"
The hug I gave her had me tackling her to the ground. We both giggled and I said yes, a thousand times yes, as I kissed her neck and cheek. We finally looked at one another, her smile more wide than I'd ever seen it, and shared our first kiss as a couple.
So, Diary, that is why I haven't been around the last few weeks to update you. I will try to keep up with my entries in the future, but I can't promise I won't be swept away by my girlfriend yet again.
