Fun fact! I saw a picture of cloud wearing Vincent’s cape (kh) before I learned anything else about ff7 and was expecting Vincent to die the entire fucking game
I was pretty sure the whole Cloud outfit in Kh is a nod to his friends that didn’t make it when the world fell into darkness… and then I remember Tifa rolls into Radiant Garden to kick walls and politely ask where Cloud went so maybe I’m wrong.
Though with the KH lore implying that Sephiroth is “the darkness in Cloud’s heart” maybe his more… dramatic outfit is a nod to that… don’t even get me started on the wing and the implications of that I beg

#I have someone close to me with DID#it’s so rare to see depicted properly#sherlock & co#and I have many asd and adhd family members#adhd for me but no asd#fwiw did doesn’t necessarily present with clear alters#but there are shifts between conscious states#and you may not be aware of what was happening while you were in an altered state#or have a single ‘correct’ state#so if Holmes starts losing time or having significantly younger reactions to things I’d consider that a significant sign#that they’re actually going in on him having did#which generally presents with cptsd which is more common among nd peeps

#twst#twisted wonderland#yes it did take me until the second to last day of the new chapter event to finish book 6 what of it#in my defense i had no good leona&jamil cards for chapters 66 and 67‚ i'm glad i managed to do it at all. robe malleus carried the team <3#anyways! i haven't seen this take in a while but i remember it popping up a lot earlier this year when we got diasomnia on the jp server#as a member of the malleus defense squad i can't bear all this slander and now i have proof it's baseless#his overblot is one of the most justified ones??? what do you mean no reason#He's already established to be constantly left out and lonely because of it#And now he gets hit with the triple whammy of 1) realizing his fellow students' mortality after book 6#2) learning that his father figure is dying and in one week fucking off to fantasy china to live out his retirement without him#3) his best friend the MC telling him they found a way to un-isekai themself#Maybe he could have weathered one of those‚ but all three at the same time?#Poor guy stood no chance‚ those are hits straight into the trauma#Of course he's gonna have a breakdown! It's not his fault breakdowns in twisted wonderland come with a side of destructive berserking#And to be fair from what i've heard in spoilers all he did was put the whole school to sleep he didn't even destroy all that much#like yes putting everyone to sleep so they can live forever and never leave him is not a healthy reaction#but this is Unhealthy Reactions The School it's not like he's such an outlier in that#leave my boy alone 😭#excuse my ranting i'm just insane about twisted wonderland and malleus specifically

anyway: last thing about the fox.
I think the order in which the team reacts to frank fielding* hurting himself is pretty interesting.
Gideon and Morgan are first, simply because they're the ones closest.
Hotch and Elle are next, with Elle a little behind...
But when it comes to actually restraining Frank, Elle, who is still new and less experienced, lingers behind. If you watch the scene carefully, she actually backs away, too.
And finally, Reid stands at the very back. He enters the room but doesn't go any further, and the camera pans down to show him rocking back and forth on his feet, like he can't decide if he wants to run into or out of the room. I think it's possible that Diana self-harmed at some point in the past (although granted, the self-harm in this scene is a different "type") and he may have been having some unpleasant memories.
*the brother of one of the victims, who goes to her house despite her husband not wanting him there, is seen by her through the window, and thinks she mouths "go away" at him when she actually mouths "help me"
#ofc i there's an argument that they just didn't need five people to restrain one person#and elle and reid hung back for that reason#but to me#elle and reid being the ones to hang back feels intentional#and even if it isnt#analysis isnt really about if your argument is RIGHT#its about how well you can argue it#also: this is based on what we know about the characters#who knows? maybe if elle stuck around longer we would have found out she had a family member who she witnessed having very similar episodes#and that would have painted her reaction in a very different light#also this scene makes me sad. i wish we'd gotten an update on frank afterwards#esp because this hits home. to me this reads very similarly to an autistic meltdown and i have self harmed very similarly during mine#not sure how i feel about him being restrained for that reason but i get they didnt want him to hit himself#and it was 2005#tw self harm#character analysis#scene analysis#i suppose#criminal minds#criminal minds rewatch#criminal minds s01e07#the fox#elle greenaway#spencer reid#i know i mentioned other characters in this but i didnt really pick their fictional brains lol

I swear to god allocishet people will never understand how sometimes you have to assume the worst about people.
Because from what i understand JK Rowling got the transgender charity mermaids shut down (or close to shutting down) because it advised young trans people on what to do to alleviate their dysphoria without letting their parents know.
And everyone is in uproar about “how can you keep things about people’s own children a secret?????????!?!?!”
Well sometimes you have to because of the possibility that their parents will react badly to their child being trans. You have to assume that child is in an unsafe environment and can’t afford to come out because if you tell their parents and they react really badly then it’s your fault.
It’s far safer to assume that the kid can’t come out than out someone or the kid comes out in an unsafe environment and possibly gets kicked out/gets hurt because of it.
Its safer and easier to keep it a secret and come out if/when you’re in a safe environment and get a good reaction rather than tell the kid’s parents and get that kid hurt.
Sure someday i hope queer/trans kids don’t have to come out, but in our current society you have to take the correct precautions when coming out just in case there’s a bad reaction.

Replying to @fantasyinvader’s post mentionning how Linhardt and Hanneman are more interested in - especially if you don’t poach them - science than leading the people, or even, the people themselves, I wanted to make a post about Lin’s support with Catherine, which is played as a “for science!” support where Cat is amazed at his dedication to research stuff...
But it has those ominous lines :

Linhardt wants to know “the Truth” and says ignorance breeds dangers... Which is a reasonable point to make, but this is immediately followed by this :
For example, do you know for whom Thunderbrand was originally crafted?
We’re talking about the “truth” hidden about the relics - which is more dangerous, ignorance or people who know “the truth”??

Catherine replies with an argument of authority, most likely the only Rhea thought would make most people stop thinking too much about the hows of Relics and drop the topic...
But not Linhardt!
Correct. And because of that, everyone just stops thinking about it.
Yes, that’s the point.
No one really knows what the Relic is made of, how it was crafted, or what its very structure may be.
Until we know those things and truly understand the power and the danger Relics hold...

This, this is the reason why that secret was made, and the truth hidden! And while those are, say, reasonable questions to have about “magic weapons”, bear in mind Linhardt’s natural route - i.e. where he isn’t poached - with Catherine is SS, where we later learn Nemesis got “more power” from the corpses of the Nabateans...
(Which can be tied to the WoH and Willy’s war, as depicted in Houses, as he “crushed people who wanted more power”, are we talking about people who knew where and how Nemesis got his shinies and wanted more shinies?)
Linhardt will have this new “knowledge”, but what will he do with that knowledge? What are going to be the consequences? Should that truth be revealed? Would he try to kill a Nabatean to test a theory about Relic making?
This support touches one of the themes completely eluded by the game about Truth and if it should always be shared with the World, or if some truths should be hidden to protect some people -
SS!Linhardt is someone sensible (sort of, he also has this line against SS’s final boss “Well, that's something, isn't it? A shame we must kill her. Consider the research potential...“...) who wouldn’t skin Flayn alive to see if her bones can really be used to make a relic...
But unrecruited Linhardt or even CF!Linhardt doesn’t give a fuck about being sensible or not, fights alongside Baldo’n’Waldi, which raises an entire can of worms, can we really believe Linhardt, who’s passioned by Crests and their applications, would just roll with Baldo’n’Waldi popping up as Crests Beasts, heck, when some of the War Assets are artificially engineered by the Empire, who also makes artificial Crest Stones? Wouldn’t Linhardt try to, idk, know how those “things” are made, and oversee researches himself?
He has the common sense to spare Indech, by not rattling him to Supreme Leader and Hubert in CF, but is it because Indech has no interest for him in CF, so he doesn’t want the battlefield to become more “bothersome” since it’s useless to kill him, or for some reason, wanted to spare him because he’s still the same guy who’s afraid of blood and hates bloodshed, but when it came to Baldo’n’Waldi he cannot give any fucks?
