The Yakovlev VVP-6 was a concept design for a heavy, six rotor helicopter from the Soviet Union in the 1960's.

Its primary role would have been a mobile SAM site, able to rapidly deploy six surface to air missiles into the russian wilderness. This wasn't the only planned design, however. These would deploy in a formation of no less than 4, each filling a role similar to a carrier group. This models the mobile SAM site, with six missiles.

Another VVP-6 would be a flying radar site, with an AWACS dish and a further 2 SAMs.

A third would be a mobile command center, and the fourth would be an airborn carrier.

However, the technology of the 60's would not allow such a mechanically complex vehicle to function, and most of the documents for this flying fortress were lost to time.

In truth, this was a trial run for what ended up being the next angelic critter in the series, but it wasn't working out as well as I'd wanted. I was going for something more abstract and anatomically wonky. So yes, it looks like his wings are on backwards, and there's ruffles layered into the feathers, and beads, and spiny-grassy things, and it's an asymmetrical nightmare. I enjoyed it immensely, even if the end result reads definitely a little bit off.

I made this with ink, watercolor, Prismacolor pencil, and the trusty gold paint pen.

The Aerocon Dash 1.6 Wingship was an American proposal for a 173m long, 1.4k tonne Ground-Effect Vehicle for use as both civilian and military applications.

Starting off the new year with I think the most background heavy piece I've ever made! I think Rainwings and Nightwings would celebrate their traditional holidays together after the events of The brightest night. So this drawing is meant to show their cultures kind of blending together during a very joyful time. I remember talking about this concept with someone on tumblr a year ago but when I went back through my posts I couldn't for the life of me find it - so if your reading this, I remember you and this drawing stems from that conversation so thank you!

This is Sky Hunter from 2007. He's a lunchtime doodle that got out of hand, as often happened with my lunchtime doodles. I had a notion about paddle-wings in diminishing sizes along a noodley body that I wanted to explore, and dragon designs are my usual vehicle of body part exploration. So that's how that worked out.

I used Prismacolor Verithins over an ink drawing to complete this one.

Jason has both but kept them hidden for various reasons.

When he comes back to Gotham as the Red Hood and is spotted by some of his (ex) family, they think he’s an… actual angel.

That… works in Jason’s favor. For some reason.

Jokes aside though, Yor having mom friends is gonna be so good for her! Like just more people who like her, quirks and all, who aren't constantly being awful to her like her co workers, and who are able to genuinely reassure her that all parents are winging it most of the time (I know Twilight already told her this, but lbr Loid coming off as the perfect dad was not helping the case).
