update: currently losing the war VS Pantone and I am so close to buying the swatch book….. but I refuse to give them money

OOHHH Pantone I hate you so much for locking colors behind a paywall and having the physical book be $200

#dark blues without a physical swatch book… it’s hard #picking colors for Yuuji went by so fast #so I didn’t think Megumi would be an issue #and I was WRONG #I wanNA go back to painting so bad….. but I want these done asap #I’m just gonna be annoying and ask manu for swatch pics #to double check some of my choices #again like the reason I don’t want the book is cuz #I don’t even know how often I’m gonna be making pins #this is just cuz every 8 hours or so my mom #asks me why I haven’t made enamel pins yet #AND IT’S BEEN LIKE THAT FOR MONTHS HELP MEEE #I will give into buying it tho if I decide to do the rest of my JJK sketches #at this point I’ve spent more time googling Pantone colors than doing lineart #lux.txt

might open comms to help with the bill from my immediate care visit yesterday but argh I don’t really have the time rn to put new WIPs on my plate 😭

#bg info I’ve had constant pain in my left knee and ankle #and inability to fully straighten it or bend it back #since August last year and my parents finally got scared enough to #let me be seen and I had x rays done #and good news is that my bones are completely normal #BUT if it’s ligament related or something…#I can’t get an MRI done unless I fail physical therapy #so I have to go through all that first #pain and suffering but now with money reasons #I almost don’t wanna do it cuz spending more money #but I also really want no more pain… and I miss being able to sit down on the ground and bend #lux.txt

I really like drawing fandom stuff! I like drawing things from series that I'm into and getting excited about them with friends... it's easier for me to get inspired to draw fanart (especially JJK things) too

I do have a lot of OCs, but I kinda don't pay as much attention to them as I should..... mainly cuz I'm just constantly reworking everything about them + total worldbuilding from the ground up is kinda hard for me

I participate in Art Fight tho if you know what that is! I love drawing things for other people too and gifting art of their OCs.......... I should probably get to working on OC refs for this year soon

yes I do!! most of the time they're just headshots or silly things.... like a good 70% of my more jokey art were originally warmup sketches that I decided to turn into actual WIPs and color

this Reno sketch from a couple days ago is usually what my warmup sketches look like! They take like 10 minutes or so? Maybe even faster if it's a character I draw a lot

I usually ask my friends for suggestions on what to do, which is why I have a bunch of Sukuna cat things that I still need to color (and Big Bro Sorcerer Sukuna things... but I'll get to them eventually)

for more serious sketches that I turn into thumbnails for paintings... I color grayscale, slap a gradient map on them, and paint over the sketch in certain areas so I don't forget what kind of palette/vibe that I wanted to go with! These usually take anywhere from 35 minutes to an hour? Depends on how much I'm struggling

I need to have things mostly planned out by the sketch stage or else I'll come back to it later like............... oh idk what I wanted to do here

I flip my canvas constantly lol so I'm good with right and left facing faces as long as they're around 3/4 view...... straight profile is a bit harder for me but manageable.... the true enemy is side profile </3

NOBARA GIRL I'M SO SORRY... my usual brush is very tilt/angle reliant so it was acting weird being held in my left hand a;lkdsfj
