here's a snippet from a canon-divergent patpran fic, where the faculties are not enemies but the families still are, which i'm hoping to have the first chapter of done soon 🤞🏾:

But of course, now that Pat knows that Pran is at South Tech, living in the Tinidee dorms, he’s suddenly everywhere. He’s studying engineering, apparently, which is another piece of profoundly bad luck for Pran, because it means that they have a lecture together. Pran doesn’t know how, in their first few sessions, he hadn’t noticed Pat among the crowd of blue shirts who tend to sit on the other side of the hall from his faculty, but the next time they have that class, Pat makes a beeline for Pran and his friends after the lecture is over. “Pran!” he says, smiling. “Can’t believe I didn’t notice we were both in this lecture until now. It must be fate, huh?” “More like bad luck,” Pran mutters. His friends glance at him in surprise. Well, they have a right to be – they’ve probably never seen Pran be this rude with anyone. Pat notices their reactions, because of course he fucking does, and it only makes his smile grow wider. “Aren’t you going to introduce me?” he says. Pran glowers. “Pat.” “That’s my name!” Pat says cheerfully. “What’s yours?” he adds, looking at Louis. Louis blinks at him, caught off-guard. “Uh – Louis. And this is Safe, and Wai.” Wai and Safe nod politely at Pat, still looking bewildered. “How do you know Pran?” “Oh, I’ve known Pran all my life,” Pat says airily. “Our families are neighbors. We grew up together.” “Really?” says Wai, with interest. Damn him. “Pran never talks about his childhood.” Pat seems to falter a bit at that, throwing Pran a confused look, but he recovers quickly. “Oh, I have plenty of stories, if you ever want them,” he tells Wai with a grin, and that’s just about as much as Pran can take of this conversation. “No time, we have to get to our Design Studio class,” he says, curt, grabbing his stuff to make his exit. Pran’s friends scramble to follow him. “Nice to meet you all!” Pat says, waving, and Pran shoots him one last scathing look. “What’s your deal with that guy?” Wai asks once Pran’s slowed down enough for his friends to catch up. “Did he bully you or something?” Pran groans. “No, nothing like that,” he says, begrudgingly. “He’s just – annoying. It’s a long story.” “Well, he’s also pretty hot,” says Safe with a smirk. “If you don’t want him, I call dibs.” Pran’s stomach drops. What the fuck? He’s pretty sure that Safe is joking, especially from the way he’s now waggling his eyebrows, but apparently that’s not enough for Pran to keep his reaction off his face, because Safe blanches when he notices. “Or – not?” he says uncertainly. “Un-dibs, un-dibs.” That, unfortunately, only makes his friends look at him with even more curiosity, but they manage to refrain from asking. Pat, on the other hand doesn’t refrain from anything.

My new job has so much less downtime than my last one and I'm being slowly tortured right now as I'm brimming over with horny thoughts and ideas for scenes for the hardcore punk story but I don't have time to write bits down on my phone to email them to myself for later, or or making little doodles on post-its, or even really spend much time daydreaming about them and my brain might explode

Sorry about the late post. I completely forgot about this till now. Here are two tidbits from chapter one and chapter two of my time travel shenanigans wip (currently named ‘stuck in the past (show me my future)’)

Synopsis (unofficial): It’s 6th year for Simon an Baz. Their rivalry is starting to calm down after Simon’s obsessive failed attempts to expose him as a vampire. Simon is dating Agatha, and everything seems to be on the up. That is until Agatha suddenly breaks up with him. Heartbroken over a lost future, Simon wants nothing more than to know for certain that everything works out.

Enter 24 year old Simon. It’s been 6 years since he lost his magic, and 4 years since him and his friend disastrous trip to America. Everything is looking up for him. He has a family, a job he loves, and is about to be married to the love of his life. That is until he wakes moments before His and Baz’s wedding 8 years in the past with no memory of how he got there.

Wednesday is my Edgerunners of late 2022

anyway my final take away from wednesday (netflix) is that whole narrative around wednesday owing anyone anything was dumb as shit. girl rolled into town and literally told everyone she didn't want to be there an didn't want to make friends. some guy was like "you're giving me mixed signals" when the only signal she gave was "go away." her roommate and other ''friends'' made a huge deal about her being an awful friend when she didn't want to be friends with them in the first place.

like yeah wednesday wasn't a good person but she literally wasn't pretending to be. why tf was the narrative punishing her for living up to her own standards.

saw someone who hc kabru as aromantic bisexual. thats actually kinda good. i dont necessarily subscribe to it but i could see it. not fully aro but in the spectrum i guess

im now just going to ramble about how i think this would work in my head. also labru bc this is my page

he sees flirting more as a game n marriage as something convenient than something he aspires to achieve w the one he loves

flirting n dating is more of a tool to make friends. he isn’t interested in getting serious so that usually turns them off, so he gets labeled as a ‘player’

he doesn’t return rin’s feelings even though he finds her physically attractive, because he genuinely values her friendship and the way he views romance is incompatible with hers and would just break her heart

ok labru territory turn away now sorry im pulling shit out of my ass atp

laios would fit right in with his preferences, because their relationship would be boiled down to “best friends who have sex” like, the easiest way for them to explain their thing

even if they go on dates, they’d be more interested in talking about a current topic or something they need to do, than super sappy stuff. they still do it! but kabru would kinda get uncomfortable with saying sappy stuff, it’s different from flirting. once laios recognizes this, he tells him he doesnt have to do that

it works out because while laios is kinda sentimental, he isn’t really a romantic person. when they were still figuring stuff out, laios just goes “x is mad at me because they think not doing y makes me a bad partner” but really, kabru doesn’t care whether he does it or not

if laios is saying this about a different partner, kabru would chastise him, but since it’s him, he’s totally fine with none of that happening

when it comes to them becoming spouses, they would rather forgo a real wedding and just do the paperwork to make it happen. marcille takes offense to this n thinks its an “affront to romance” esp since kabru wants to plan HER wedding, but neither of them think it’s a big deal

laios has a very hard time distinguishing his platonic feelings to his romantic feelings. he’s just very happy kabru that wouldn’t leave him or get bored of him. getting to kiss him and have sex with him is just a nice bonus.

kissing and cuddling is more of an emotional recharge or comfort etc for kabru than a romantic activity. his friends don’t get it at all.

even in my stupid baby universe its just “kabru wants to have a baby with me for the kingdom? he’s such a nice guy. he told me he wants utaya to live on too… thats so thoughtful.” their relationship is ‘blunt’ and ‘convenient’. the marriage was just to legitimize the heir and otherwise it was just a regular wednesday.

they love each other, but kabru expresses it to the extent that he could, and that works out for laios.

tl;dr basically someone who views romance as a performance than something ingrained w him x someone who struggles w romance. its totally fine if you dont see kabru on the aromantic spectrum, i don’t necessarily see it that way either! i just want to think about how it would work in my fanworks. what do u think. i should add more but im just going off at the top of my head LOL
